The Damned French Cannons
"Men Form up and Prepare to charge!" said the Totenkopf officer, Franz and the rest of the hussars drew their swords in preparation for a charge. It was Midday and Franz was about to do battle with the Napoleons forces. He looked off in the distance,the French had charged the Prussian Ranks, and the Prussians were beginning to waver. "Men We have to help our Kamerads, try and hold the French off long enough for the Landwehr to fall back." the Officer said looking back to his men, "Now forward marsch!" he ordered said beginning to walk forward as the hussars followed. Franz looked onward to the ongoing fight as the French devastated the Prussian Landwehr.
"Forward double time!" ordered the officer speeding up. The rest of the hussars sped up with him raising their sword ready to charge as they neared the french lines. They let out a loud battle cry as they hit hard into the French line. The French were devistated by the Hussars charge and were easily routed. The Hussars followed them cutting down the running cowards, Franz himself cut down ten in just a few seconds. The hussars pursued not knowing that the French Artillery was about to fire in on their position.
"Il y a feu de tête de la mort à volonté!" ordered the French artillery officer, and the cannons opened up imediatly after Franz swung his sabre cutting down another French soldier, He froze when he heard the sound of cannons off in the distance. Around him the rest of the Death's head had stopped too and were beginning to turn around when the cannons projectiles hit all around him. he truned his horse around and tried to get out of the bombardment but it was to no avail when a shrapnel shot had exploded above him and made his horse fall to the ground bringing him down with him. He dropped his sword as he held the shrapnel wounds on his shoulders and tried to pull himself out from under his dying horse. the cannon fire continued to explode around him.
He stopped everything he was doing and looked up to the sky when he heard a very weird cannon shot."What in the Hell was that!?" he said still looking to the sky, then he spotted an unusual cannon chot heading towards his position. It was a normal cannon ball but seemed to be hallow and have a white smoke following it, Franz knew what this was it was Quicklime. Franz tried even more despiratly to pull himself out. The shots exploded around him releasing the deadly gas.
Franz knew there was no sure way to avoid it so he reached down to his saddle tore of a peace of cloth and held it to his face over his mouth. The smoke flowed passed him, it affected his horse to terrible effect, His horse struggled and kicked and wined as it choked on the deadly smoke. He looked down at the horse , which he had had sinced he first joined up with the Death's Head hussars and he felt sadness for it. He continued to breath in through the sloth but enough of the smoke was begining to get to him, he started feeling disorented and eventually blacked out.

Encountering Das Auslanders
Franz had traveled a few more hours until it started to get dark. He stopped at a small clearing and encamped. He sat leaner up against a log in front of a fire wile his horse layed nearby. He wondered were on gods green earth Equestria was and if he would ever make it back to his beloved Prussia. He layed back and drifted into sleep with his shako over his eyes to keep any light out.
Franz woke up still in the clearing his horse was over near a bush eating some plants he sat up and walked over to it. He reached into his pocket pulled out a sugar cube and fed it to the horse wile petting its neck. He then mounted and rode off into the forest again. He rode for about forty minuts and then he came to the edge of the forest. He left the forest and stopped on a small hill. off in the distance was a small town. "Perhaps I can get some directions from there." Franz said to himself riding on towards the town.
"Stop Right there whatever you are!" came a voice from behind him
"Who said that?" Franz said back turning around.
"Ill ask the questions around here!" said a small blue winged horse with Rainbow hair.
"Yea? then ask one." said Franz to the pony in a insulting manner
"Well...um....alright heres one, What are you?"
"Well I could ask the same from you."
"Just answer the question!"
"I'm a Human if that's what you want thats..."
"Yes that's what I wanted to know but ill at least tell you who I am." She said flying up to try and make herself look bigger "I'm Rainbow Dash, The Fastest pegasus in Equestria."
"Yes If your that then I'm the King of Prussia."
"Hey I can fly so fast I can do a sonic rainboom!"
"Prove it."
"Fine I will!" Rainbow Dash said flying up into the air at fast speeds
"That takes care of that." said Franz riding towards the town ignoring Rainbow Dash. The town appeared strange to Franz, the architecture seemed like it was from the previous century. He rode towards a tall spiraling structure, no doubt it was the Town Hall. As he approached the town he was startled when he found more multi-colored talking ponies. At first he thought the rainbow pony was just some weird abomination that hadn't been discovered and killed yet. Now it appeared he has found an entire new race. He gripped the handle of his sabre, he didn't know if these things were hostile or not, the first one appeared to be quite inquisitive.
He followed the dirt road into the town he was met with a predictable reaction, fear. Most of the ponies steered clear or ran into their houses. As he rode through the town he encountered a few banners flying from certain buildings. The banners were yellow with a image of the sun and a pony with both wings and a horn. He didn't know who the hell had a banner like that, I definitely wasn't one of the German States. At least there weren't any french he laughed. He continued through the streets looking about at the ponies as they rushed inside to try and avoid him. They watched him through the windows closely, but when he looked back they rushed away from the windows. He finally arrived at the Town Hall. It was a tall spiral building, it looked as if it belonged in a circus rather than to house any kind of government. He Dismounted and tied his horse to a nearby post. He stroked ts mane one more time before going up the stone stairs. Halfway up the stairs he Looked back over his shoulder to find that the ponies were still hiding. He walked up to the door. There was a sign, it was written in some foreign language. He wondered why they spoke German yet wrote in a different language.

Franz entered into a large open area inside the town hall. He looked around, it was deserted. He saw a door on the far right and immediately walked over to it. As he got closer to the door he could hear voices...
"I told you there was a bright flash of light over the forest, and just this morning there was a sighting of Human Walking about the town!" said one of the voices.
"We cant just send ponies to investigate everything that happens in the Everfree forrest." said another voice this one sounded more elderly.
"Half the town saw it!" yelled the first voice again "If we don't investigate it we could be in great danger, this one might be more dangerous than the first one!"
Nothing else was said, he could hear steps approaching the door. The door opened and there stood a small purple unicorn staring up at him in terror. The other pony still standing inside the room looked at the two as their gazes met. The small purple pony looked him over then regained its bearings.
"Uh...um, I-I'm Twilight Sparkle who are you?" Said the small unicorn obviously trying to break the silence by breaking anything.
Franz looked down at the unicorn"Lt. Franz of the 1st Leib Hussars...Totenkopf" he said
"Well um what are you doing here?" said the unicorn
"I was hoping to ask one of you the same thing, are by any chance the mayor?"
"Oh no shes right here." Twilight said as the mayor approached
"Hello um...Franz I'm Mayor Mare, how can I help you."
"Yes I would like directions to Berlin, or Konigsberg whichever may be closer." said Franz casually
"Um...Well could you give me a moment to look at a map, you can wait in the room across from this one."
"Fine" replied Franz somewhat annoyed that he would have to wait even more to get back to Prussia.
He walked across the open room and up to the other door. Another sign he couldn't read, he ignored it and opened the door. He walked in but stepped back at what he saw. There stood a tall French cuirassier. "Mein Gott!" Franz yelled in surprise as they drew their swords. The cuirassier lunged at him, Franz parried and retaliated, landing a blow at his Breastplate. The cuirassier leaped at Franz tackling him through the door way into the main hall of the building. Franz pushed him off and slashed at the cuirassier's neck. He ducked and the top of the horse hair decoration on his helmet. Franz kicked him o the ground and swiped downward at the cuirassier as he tried to block. Suddenly Franz felt a sensation flow through him, his blade then stopped a few inches from the cuirassier face. Neither Franz nor the cuirassier could move. He looked to their right side, to find Twilight using some sort of magic to stop the fight. She then used her magic once more to separate the two. She then released them and they stood up staring at eachother as they held their swords readied.

Franz woke up inside what looked to be an abandoned barn. He stood up and reached up to feel his shoulder expecting to find a bloody wound, instead he found nothing not even a tear in his uniform. He looked around and saw his horse standing a few feet away from him eating some hay that was on the ground. He walked over to it, it looked up at him then went back to eating the hay. He stroked its mane trying to figure out how in the hell this was even possible. He thought that perhaps some kind farmer had taken him and his horse into his barn and healed them. Franz walked over to the door and opened it. He walked out it was raining and the barn was in the middle of a forest and it was nowhere near the location that the battle had taken place on. He wen back in out of the rain and closed the door. He walked over to his horse and took out some things from the saddlebags and then went over to the center of the barn. He set down and used the object he had pulled out of to light a fire for warmth. He ate some bread that he also got out of the saddle and and then fell back asleep.
Franz woke back up and the rain had stopped and he walked outside. "Still cloudy, but atleast there's no rain." He said to himself stretching. His horse walked out and was standing behind him. He walked over to it and he mounted. He then proceeded into the forest.
He had been riding for several hours now and he hadn't seen much but a few ruins and was going to admit he was lost when he heard voices. Franz headed towards them and came across a clearing and there three small creatures sat talking to one another. They were grey had the wings of an insect and they were full of holes. Franz said to himself "Mien Gott, what the hell are those."
The Creatures looked over to him alerted and one began running into the distance wile the other two charged him. Franz drew his sword and dispatched the fastest one with ease the other one got close enough to hit him in the side. Franz slung his sword back and easily slashed the other one. then he sped after the other one. Franz' horse easily caught up with it, he purposely ran it down not trying to kill it. Franz dismount and ran over and pinned it to the ground and put the blade up to his throat and looked into its eyes. the creature looked back in fear and said, "I-Ill tell you anything just let me go please!" Franz looked at it for a few more moments.
"Just what the hell are you, and were am I?!' Franz demanded
"Y-Your in Equestria and I'm a changeling."
"Now last question, how do you know German?"
"W-whats G-German?"
"Fess, you are of no use then, pity ill have to kill you." Franz said to it before slitting its neck
Franz stood back up and walked back over to his horse mounted and then continued on the route he was on leaving the bodies there to rot.
