"C'mon Girls hurry up, oh Celestia please nothing has happeded to them!" worried Applejack as she was fuel'd with fear running into the forest as the other 5 raced to catch up with no moment to spare. "Oh Darling please stop making me run or It will ruin my mane" whined Rarity as she breathleslly gasped for air as beads of moisture began to form around her body as her purple mane drooped with sweat weighing more than she could handle. "I told you should have worked out more than worrying about every minute you get to the spa, now just hurry upand the sooner we find those ungrateful fillies the sooner i can get back to sleep" yelled Rainbow Dash as Rarity turned with redness forming in her face.

"Why you ignorant pegasus, my poor sister is missing and I feel dreadful to know she just sneaked out of the house in the middle of the night, oh please nothing has happened to them" stated Rarity, "Well lets not just stand here and lets go find them and when I get my hands on Applebloom I'll make sure her Apples wont shine with bloom" yelled a very upset Applejack. "According to what Applebloom wrote her and the other CMC went to go out and investigat the meteor within the Everfree Forest" Twilight answered as she reviewed the sketch drawing of the CMC activities. "But why the Everfree thats no place for filles" "Princess Celestia told us to not investigate the crater as she would send her top investiagors to view the strange object" applied Twilight with a bit of jealuosy in her voice.

Fluttershy turned to tell Twilight "Huh Twilight I can hear voices up ahead" then the voices were met with screams as roaring could be heard as the mane six hurried towards the noise. "They're in danger lets go!" Applejack pleades as she took all her strength and rushed further into the woods as the noised began to change as strange pounding of noise with white flashes appearing began to blind the path but was met with the biggest explosion of white as the ponies fell forward blinding them upon impact. Then after a moment a pink ball of energy regained her strength as she jumped into the area happily stating "I'll go on ahead guys and give the ok" "Wait Pinkie!" RD shot out her hoof but Pinkie Pie vanished into the furthers darkness. "Um guys you want to see this" Pinkie Pie said out loud as the Ponies emerged from the forst meeting horrible scenes of bloodshed.

All around them they saw Timberwolves dead against the ground torn apart spilling its flowing essecnce from thier bleeding bodies as some still suffered whining from the pain of dying. "Why Celestia ... who could have done this" Fluttershy cried as she hugged tightly against Twilight as she also was suprised and her sense of focus lost into the massacure of these wolves. "Hey guys I see some hoofprints and some animal traces" answers RD as she looke from below the ground as the footsteps led into the forest further. "What the hay!" Applejack peered down as shivers went down her spine as she turned to ask Fluttershy what were these prints and who'd it belong. "I dont know what kind of Animal it is but it looked like it ran but it also seems like it was carring something as it feet sunk into the ground more" sniffled Fluttershy "Than lets follow these prints" pouted Rarity with Pinkie Pie becoming unsure with the traces of Evidence. "I don't know guys but I'm getting a Twitch-a-twitch this is not a good idead" "This entire forest is not a good idea and we can't just abadon them for Celestia to come find them" RD stammered on as the color of her fur began to return. "Ok lets go y'all, we need to follow these tracks" answered the orange pony as the others followed behind and as ther advanced into the forest a strange pair of bloodshot eyes appeared as it watched them from the bush it had hid in with looks of hunger and a sadistic smile.

"Are we there yet!," NO!" "are we now there" "NOOO! Pinkie no damn it we're not there yet" yelled a very angry Applejack as Pinkie Pie smiled with annoyance her game as the others shook thier head as they had followed the beasts path carefully as they became stricken with fear as they wondered what it will look like. Then without sudden notice a large predator jumped from behind the unaware ponies as it struck Applejack unconcious as the other ponies turned to face a manticore but were further afraid at its sight. The manticore had a distorted face as half of its lips were torn apart bearing sharp blood running teeth as it also emmited a loud cackle from behind it's throat. The fur had turned to a gray color not having even the slightest color as a trace of its normal being as it's ribcage was exposed open. But what was scary of all is that it's eyes were filled with dread and hunger as the Monticore swung out again and although missed its initial target managed to freeze it' victims in a shock inducing halt.

"Stop or I'll use the stare!" shouted Fluttershy but the manticore showed no attempts to stop. Without thinking Fluttershy begins to use her stare but Raibow Dash without thinking first rushed into the Manticore but was swatted away as she went flying into Fluttershy messing her concentration as she accidently turned to face Rarity as she felt knifes crawl up her back and held back the blood curdling scream and much less beg mercy. The Manticore took advantage of disabling the other ponies as it licked it lips oon seeing its Purple Prey try to escape but with fast movement pinned the Unicorn against it weight as she began to scream "HELP! anyone do something!" But as she turned to see her friends were beyond helping her she started see blackness as she looked up to see the Manticores soaked teeth close to her face but as her life was being drawn away she then notced from behind its back a strange figure leap up from the bits of light the forest recieved as it rushed on top of the Manticore a knife within its claws.

As I jumped up on the Manticore I begin to stab repeatedly against its spine as it lost its grasp on the Purple pony looking back up at me with both paws trying to pry me off but with the knife well digged into its skin I held onto dear life while I controlled its movements. As the manticore tryed to buck me off its back I took the iniative and pull Matilda from the holster as began to fire up against its head but to no avail seemed to inflict much damage. I was then met with its hind legs as I was kicked off its back landing straight back agonizing in mortifying pain, but with such a rush of adrenaline I jumped back up onto my feet and pull back my Riot Gun as i let it go crazy. The manticore now focuses it's attacks on me as I avoided its sharp claws from tearing me apart, but as i duck it's every blows I fail to make any sort of damge as my ammo counter dangerously ran low. So as I pulled back and took out my TMP I switched tactics and began to aim for its legs as a satisfying screech was heard from the manticore, The ponies seemd to have dissapeared but i decided it was now or never. So as i shot up against its front legs it crashed down before me and as its head fell before its weight I took out my hand grenade and shoved it up its opened ribcage and as I jumped as far away from the beast I looked behind covering my face as the manticore exploded red pieces accross the visor og my mask.

As the fighting was over I begin to look over myself and quickly took the task to reload what so few bullets I had left then turning to the matter at hand I aim my TMP at the huddled ponies from behind and with a sudden jolt i move quickly and stood above the them TMP in both hands. "Luke don't hurt them!" I then look back again to see Applebloom run up to her sister as the others ran towards thier respective guardians. "Sweetie get away from the monster" pushed Rarity as the mane six slowly recovered with the exception of Applejack knocked out cold. Then I look again at the Purple pony who summoned a purple flash of light as I was taken over as I fell back feeling the rush of darkness creep over me as I turned to hold out my hands at Scootaloo and ask "whyyyy?"...........

I saw nothing.

If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.
