The DiscoveryView OnlineThe Story of Two ScootsThe Discovery It was a hot summer day in my boring old town. I lived by myself, had two dead-end, minimal-wage job, had no family left in the state, and all my friends either moved away from me or lived so far away, we never got to talk, considering I had no time to chat. I never saw anyone in my neighborhood out and about, so I was alone all the time. Whenever I had free time, I usually spent it napping or watching My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic on a stolen laptop. I wasn't a bad person, it's just I thought the person left it there at the restaurant table. Turns out they were just in the bathroom for a long time. Luckily, I got the charger too, and I charge it up at the local bar to avoid a high electric bill. Back to the story. I was walking to work, since a group of men stole my bike, when three guys walked up to me. I saw one of them holding a knife under his coat, and I knew they meant trouble. I sprinted away from the men, and they followed in pursuit. I ran into the alley behind the local bar and jumped into a dumpster. The goons ran past the dumpster screaming and cursing after their hidden target. When the coast was clear, I crawled from the dumpster, but I slipped on the ground and fell to the floor. Probably some hobo vomit. I opened my eyes and saw a box under the dumpster, and saw a peculiar cardboard box. I ignored it, got up, and limped home, since that fall hurt. Later that night, I went to that same bar and almost drunk myself to death. I stumbled out of the bar and found myself in the alley again. Being the drunk klutz I was, I slipped in the hobo vomit again. I then saw the box. Curiosity taking over me, I grabbed the box and slowly slid the box from the dumpster. I opened it and saw the most amazing thing. A pony. No. Two ponies. Inside the box was two little pony creatures, with orange fur, and a purple tail and mane."Scootaroooo?" I said in drunken effort. I didn't know what to do. They were sleeping, so I decided to not wake them. I grabbed the box carefully and stumbled home.i crept through my door and placed the box on the dirty carpet before my stained couch. There was a little blanket inside the box, but I figured I should keep then in there to not disturb them. I then passed out on the floor. I woke up, and glanced up to a slightly blurry clock. 9:36, Saturday morning. I didn't have work today, so I was struck with sudden happiness. Then I looked over to the box, and remembered what happened last night. I peeked inside the box. The furry creatures were still sleeping. I gently poked one of the furry creatures. It pointed its head up, eyes closed, and did the cutest little yawn. It stretched its tiny hooves and accidentally jabbed the second pony, causing it to stir. They both glanced around in question of where they were. Then they glanced up to me. Both their eyes went wide and they started shaking. They must be scared of me. The lowered their heads and started to whimper." It's okay, little guys." I cooed." I won't hurt you." One of the fillies raised his head and eyed me quizzically, and stepped one hoof out of the box. After a few seconds the filly was fully out of the box, the second still cowering in the box. I extended my hand, causing the first pony to wince and step back. The pony eased and trotted towards my hand. The orange little creature gently sniffed my finger, breathing small little huffs. Then the pony quickly licked my finger, but made a sick face, not knowing that I cut my finger on a broken beer bottle when I fell in the alley. I reached out and petted the ball of fuzz. It reluctantly stood and took the pet, then made a small squee of happiness. I reached down, grabbed the orange and purple furry filly and hugged it, not to tightly, so not to hurt it or make it uncomfortable." Hi little guy. You sure are cute." It stared up at me with its big eyes." What's your name?" It stared at me. It obviously couldn't speak or understand English." I'll call you...Scoots!" The pony glared happily up at me and snuggled up against my chest. I then looked at its mane." Your a dirty little guy! Your gonna need a bath!" I picked up the filly and carried him to the bathtub. I completely forgot about his friend, and returned to grab him. He wasn't as stable with the current situation as the other filly, but he fight back. I first tried to bath Scoots, who gave some resistance, but grew accustomed to the shallow water. After Scoots was clean, I wrapped it in a washcloth and grabbed the second one." Alright...uh...Hoofy!" I noticed that its front left hoof was smaller than the rest, and shaking. Hoofy gave a big fight. After Hoofy's constant thrashing, I cleaned Hoofy and dryed him off. I decided too see what these things were. I checked their...privates...and noticed they were both girls. I spent the day inside, feeding my ponies and supervising them as they ventured around my house. Hoofy was eager to see his environment, but Scoots stayed somewhat close to my side. Apparently I had already learned her trust. I brought them to my bedroom and sat them down on a little dog sleeping pad thing. I found a stray dog a few months back, but was a hastle to take care of and was very sick. He eventually ran away and was hit by a car. His old bed would be for my fillies for now. Scoots was trying to get up in my bed with me,so I placed the dog pad in my bed. Hoofy crawled right on the pad, but Scoots preferred to curl up under my arm. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
Chapter TwoView OnlineThe Story of Two ScootsChapter Two I woke up Sunday morning to the sound of tiny huffs of breathing. I looked down and saw my little ponies. Scoots was still curled up under my arm, and Hoofy, or Hoof, was sleeping carelessly by my knees. I tried to slide out of bed without disturbing them, but I hadn't noticed Scoots's head was resting on my arm, and that caused Scoots to be dragged from the bed and land on the floor with a loud thud and I tiny pained squeal. Scoots looked around to notice she was on the floor with a case of dizzy vision. Hoof made a little "Hmm?" sound, confused by his awakening of a loud slam sound. Scoots looked up at me, and her lip began to quiver. She made a tiny squeak of sadness and ran under the bed." Scoots? Scoots! No, I won't hurt you! Come on out." She must have thought I had pushed her or hurt her on purpose. I ended up reaching under, grabbing her by her front hoof, and dragging her out. I raised her to my eye level. "I won't hurt you, okay? You girls stay here. Daddy has to go to work." I gave Scoots a little kiss, set her down on the bed and walked to the front door to leave. Then it hit me. Daddy. I was like their father. They were like my children. I never had a child, or even a little brother or sister. All I ever had was a few friends, parents, and 2 drunk girlfriends. I shrugged the thought of and locked my door, so the fillies didn't escape and hurt themselves in traffic or wander into a bar where they could be killed or raped. I returned from work at 6:42." Hello? Scoots? Hoof? Anyone?" I walked into my bedroom and saw the fillies laying on the floor moaning." Shit, I forgot to feed them." I carried both of them under my arms to the kitchen, ad cooked some Ramen noodles. I don't think horses are supposed to eat ramen noodles, but I was low on money, and I already feed them noodles yesterday. Both ponies dived into their noodles whe they had the chance, covering their orange fur and purple hair in long, stringy noodles and wetted their coats with green broth. Right when Scoots finished, she stunbled over to me and gave me a small lick on the cheek. Hoof trotted over and gently rubbed against my leg. Hoof didn't seem as okay with the situation as Scoots did, Scoots being as happy as a clam, not knowing of the bad things that could happen to her. Then she did something I never really saw from her. She expanded out two tiny feathery wing-like appendages, flapped them very fast up and down, and hovered an inch off the ground." Wow! Good job scoots!" Scootaloo in the My Little Pony show couldn't fly, so this was pretty much spot n with the show. Maybe I could buy her a scooter. Hoof seemed pretty much exactly like Scootaloo, so maybe I should buy a scooter for her too. Wow, now I'm REALLY thinking like a dad. I've now started speech lessons with the fillies. They do respond to their names, but I figured I should at least teach one how to talk. I've found a new purpose in my life. A new direction. Scoots and Hoof. It's been two weeks since I found my little ponies. Hoof is adventurous but cautious around me, as if he still didn't trust me. Scoots was always happy as a clam and adventurous too, but didn't wander too far from my sight. Scoots is learning English easier than Hoof. Scoots knows colors and animals and food, but isn't too full sentences, and Hoof barely says a word except saying 'Hoof,' 'Scoot,' and ' Dawdy.' Finding those fillies must have been my good luck charm, because I earned a cash promotion and a 20$ in the street. Scoot and Hoof sometimes complain about not being able to go outside. I have a hard time trying to tell them that, in the easy way, they aren't normal, or the hard way, that they were brightly colored tv characters from a different dimension. Apparently Hoof's curiosity got the better of him. "Hoof? Where are you? Hoof! Don't hide from me again! We can play, just show me where your hiding!" I tore through my house looking for the lost pony. I saw out of the corner of my eyes, the front door. Open. What if someone found her? What would happen to her? I busted out of the house. The sun began to set, and I knew it would be hard to find a tiny pony in the darkness. I stayed quiet and listened to hear a small squeak. I looked to my left to see the small forest aside my house. I sprinted to the forest. Scoots tried to follow, but I yelled out to her to stay inside. About 6 yards from the forest entrance there was a small prickly bush. Inside was a pony. My pony. "Bad pony, bad pony! You know not to leave the house! You had me worried!" I grabbed her pokey mane and hit her on the nose a few times. There were prickles in her coat and she was bleeding lightly in areas. I carried the whimpering pony to my house, slammed the door, and tossed the pony on the floor. Hoof started to shake. "Hoof..." Hoof's lip began quivering and eyes growing wide. "Hoof...I'm sorry..." Hoof ran to the closet crying her eyes out. Oh and by the way, I gave them the choice to sleep in the closet just so they felt they had their own room, but Scoots still comes too my room, and Hoof when she has a nightmare. I turned to Scoots, and she must have been scared of me, because she lowered her head and walked to the closet. I went right to bed that night, knowing of the terrible thing I had done. How should she know what would happen if she goes outside? I'm a monster. It took a few days for Scoot to get over what happened, but Hoof sayed sullen for about a week. I try talking to her, but she just turns her head and says nothing. But Hoof eventually for over it, and life was back to normal. Well, as normal as having two orange furred winged ponies. Scoot can't fly, but can keep height at around one to three inches, so I tell her to keep up the good work and give her a hug. Hoof hasn't tried to fly, maybe she isn't as confident or doesn't think she can. I decided too go out and buy the ponies some toys. I went to the store and, for some reason, went to the pet aisle. Oh no. I think of them as pets. Are they just pets? Should I give them real human toys? I go to the toy aisle and see a rainbow dash figureen. Maybe they'll instantly like it. I returned home with two Rainbow Dash dolls. Scoots instantly hugged hers right as I gave it to her. Hoof gently slid it away. Maybe she didn't like it. Scoots happily snatched up the second doll and hugged them so tightly they were about to explode." Th-thanks, daddy." "Your welcome. Now go and play with your toys." Right before she left she said "I love you daddy."
ThiefView OnlineThe Story of Two ScootsThief It's been a four years since I found Scoot and Hoof. I nor do they know when their birthday was, so we consider the day I found them their birthday. I didn't give them cake, because cake might not be good for ponies, so I just let them choose what they wanted in a Meijer food catalog. I put up balloons and streamers all around the house while the fillies were sleeping. Oh, by the way, two years after I found them, I earned enough money to sell my house and move somewhere else. The house was big enough for the ponies to have their own rooms. Well, they shared a room, and they didn't really need all the space, but it felt cozier than a closet. "Thanks Daddy! You're the best daddy ever!" Scoot jumped up to my leg, trying to get higher. I kneeled on the ground, gave her a hug ad a kiss, then stood up. They were already up to my knees when they stand on all hooves. They grow up so fast. "Thunks Duddy." mumbled Hoof. "Open your presents!" I motioned to two boxes wrapped in paper. Scoot squealed loudly and lunged at one box. Hoof grinned widely and tore at hers too. They both gasped as they saw what was inside the boxes. Two scooters. "Dad...what is it?" Questioned Hoof." It's BEAUTIFUL!" Yelled Scoot. "Come on outside! I'll show you what too do!" They followed me outside to the field behind my home. I had moved to an empty neighborhood to allow y ponies to wander freely. There were woods with pre made paths behind the field. "You stand on the pad, put your front hooves on the bars, and jut buzz your wings and you'll go!" Both the ponies tried it, but stumbled and fell from not being used to standing on hind hooves. Hoof got on and started flapping her wings, moving at a slow pace. "Wow! This is pretty fun! Wee!" Hoof was going at a slow pace, but seemed to enjoy herself. Suddenly Scoot zoomed past Hoof knocking her down." Hoof! I'm sorry, are you okay?" Hoof got up laughed, and chased Scoot on her scooter. The ponies rode around in the field for about an hour, until they stopped from extreme exhaustion. "Come on inside. It's getting dark, and we can play tomorrow." I carried the scooters inside as the ponies happily but tiredly dragged themselves inside. I tucked them into bed, wished them goodnight, kissed their tiny foreheads, and walked to the door only to be stopped by Scoot. "Dad? Can you come here?" I walked up to her. I thought she wanted another kiss. Instead Scoot puckered her lips and planted them on my lips, except, since ponies kiss by liking, in was odd, for both of us. She more of just touched my lips and kind of breathed into my mouth, she didn't know how to do it, but it felt like a kiss. I went to sleep right as I laid myself on the bed. CRASH! I woke up to the sound of a shattering window and a scream. "Daddy! HELP!" I bursted into the ponies room to find empty beds and an ope window. I looked out the window to see a man in a dark hoody carrying a moving, shaking potato bag running into the woods. Someone kidnapped Scoot and Hoof.
