Twilight Sparkle, her friends and all of Ponyville sat on the outskirts of town waited for Luna’s falling star show to begin to celebrate Equestria’s Independence Day from Discourd’s rule over the lands and celebrate the sisters coming into power.
“When will the show start?” asked a very impatient Rainbow Dash. She was sitting down while munching on a slice of cake.
“Soon,” replied Twilight with an annoyed grunt in her voice. “You asked that question 20 times already.”

“How soon?” asked Rainbow. “I’m completely bored.”

“Just a couple of minutes” replied Twilight. “The moon has to reach its highest point before the show starts. “
But as Twilight finished her sentence, several green flashes appeared in the night sky followed by several fire balls falling from the sky.

“Sir, we are beginning our approach now,” reported the Helmsman. “We should be coming out of warp just outside of the planet’s atmosphere”

“Good, prepare the landing craft,” commanded Lee. I want to scout out possible landing zones for those carriers.”

“Right away,” replied Jane as she bowed her head and moved her arm across her chest.

“And I want our best down there since I’m going with them. I want to see this planet for myself,” said Lee as he left the bridge and headed to the Hanger decks.

As the ship lurched out of warp, the Hanger doors of the HGE Visari slowly open as a wave of several red streaks left the ship to the planet below.

The Pony’s of Ponyvill watched several red streaks zoomed across the night sky along with the falling show. But that all changed when the red streaks was falling towards the small town followed by several loud booms. Before the ponies could run away, the object passed them and headed to the Everfree forest.

“What in Tartarus was that?” yelled Applejack with her ears still ringing from the explosion and a extremely loud rumble the followed it.

“I don’t know but it was heading for the Everfree,” replied Twilight.

“Well, I want to find out” said Rainbow Dash as she was about to zoom to where the objects went until she felt her tail being tugged.

“Thish ish a bad idea Rainbow” said Applejack as she was holding Rainbow to the ground.

“Let go of-”

Before Rainbow was able to finish her sentence, several explosions and pops was emitting from the Everfree followed but several blue flashes with sounds of lighting being discharging causing the Ponies of Ponyvill for flee in fright to their homes except for the mane six. But after ten minutes, these strange occurrences fell silent.

After waiting twenty minutes after the forest went quiet, Twilight decided to investigate what had happen in the Everfree.
“Where do you think you are going Twilight?” asked Applejack with concern.

“To see what happened that caused all of those explosions,” replied Twilight.

“If you are going, I’m going too,” said Rainbow dash.

“Fine, I should go as well, somepony would need to keep Rainbow out of trouble anyways,” said Applejack following the two mares to the Everfree.

“Wait up for me” yelled Pinkie as a pink blur passed the three Ponys.

“Are you coming Fluttershy and Rarity?” asked Applejack

“I suppose so,” grunted Rarity. “Come on Fluttershy.”

As the shuttlecraft landed in a clearing of the forest, the Helghast troops poured out of their shuttlecrafts to create a perimeter for Lee. “All Clear” called Captain Sanders

Lee walked out of his shuttlecraft and took a deep breath of this alien atmosphere air. “Captain, we passed a settlement on our way here a few click east of here. I want to meet these creatures peacefully. Is that understood?”

“Yes sir” replied Sanders as he turned around and started commanding his troops to form up and prepare for departure.

The troops were then caught off guard as several creatures that seem to be a cross of a lion, scorpion and god know what not is now chargingtheir position.

“Open Fire!” yelled captain Sanders. “Protect the Autarch!”

“Don’t let them flank us.” “Where is that god damn RPG” “Fire! Fire! Fire!” The soldiers yelled as the battle went on.

Sanders dashed to the armory shuttle to grab the VC5 Arc Rifle. But before we could reach it, one of the creatures was able to get through the line and stabbed Sanders through his heart with its tail. However the creature didn’t last long as Lee shot the creature through the head creating a bloody mess.

There was no time to mourn the loss of his captain of his personal guard as he rushed to the shuttle to grab the Arc Rifle. As the next creature was able to get through the line, it was met with several bolts if lighting jolting through its system, cooking him from the inside out and causing it to fall flat on it face as it died.

The battle only lasted ten minutes though. A creature peppered with bullets here, another one with its front end completely blown off from a RPG round, a few still smolding from a flame thrower burning it alive. And then finally a few that made its way through to be only electrocuted by the Arc Rifle. Then there were the few dead troops that were on the ground including Captain Sanders.

“What is our situation Sargent…What was your name?” asked Lee.

“My name is Jackson Radec. Mael Radec is my brother.” replied the Sargent

“Good, Hopefully you will as good as your bother than. And you just got promoted to Captain, ” said Lee. “What about our situation?”

“We have ten wounded and fifthteen dead or missing,” replied the newer Captain.

“Damn, that was almost half of our entire ground force,” cursed Lee under his breath. “Treat the wounded first and get them stable, then we’ll march to that settlement east of here.”

As time moved on ad the wounded was being treated, voices began emitting from the forest. One seems to be talking a million words per second while the others seem to be groaning about something.

“Scouts, to and investigate those voices. Bring them to me. If they are hostile, kill them,” commanded Lee.

“Pink, can you please be quite?” asked Twilight. “There is no such thing as Aliens.”

“Yes there are. I see them in my Dreams,” said Pinkie excitedly. “They comedown and take you to their ship. And they stick these things in your plot.”

“Pinkie, Can you cut that you’re scaring Fluttershy,” said Rarity finally.

Fluttershy was now extremely frightened about going alone with her friends now. She didn’t want to be abducted and taken to their space craft to have experiments done to her.

“Fluttershy. You know Pinkie likes to kid,” said Twilight glaring at Pinkie do she would shut up.
“Sorry Fluttershy,” said Pinkie.

“Its Alri-” Fluttlershy was cut off as she bumped into something. But she was confused. There was nothing there, but yet she could feel something here.

After she tapped the invisible object again, two red lights began to shine looking straight at her, Followed by a mask and then the whole body. Fluttershy couldn’t move. She was too terrified of this creature to even move.

“Fluttershy are you com….ing?” Asked Rainbow Dash as she poked her head out of the bush to see the creature grabbing her friend. “You let her go!” Yelled Rainbow Dash as she was getting ready to charge the creature when another one grabbed her and tired her wings down.

“You will come with us” said one of the creatures with a low voice that almost sounded mechanical.
Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie and Applejack wasn’t aware they were being watched or even that Rainbow and Fluttershy had been captured. Has they got closer to the clearing what looked like where the explosions came from all of them walked on something slick but yet crimson.

“What is this?” asked Twilight as she tracked the trail to its beginnings. But then she wished she hadn’t. There on the ground was several Manticores the seemed to peppered by something and ones that was missing entire parts of their bodies. The smell was horrendous as she tried not to vomit.

Rarity was about to faint onto the ground until Applejack caught her. Surprisingly Applejack wasn’t too bothered about this. But then again she lived on a farm and she witnessed her parents being killed in front of here by an extremely heavy cart.

As they turn quickly to try and leave, several creatures surrounded them their eyes were as red has crimson, their masks made them so evil and yet peaceful, like they came from Tartarus. On top of that pointing what looks to be like weapons at them.

“If you think sticks and evil looks would keep us from running? you thought wrong,” said Applejack as she prepared to run until on of the creatures fired one of the sticks and hit Applejack’s front leg.
Applejack’s leg exploded in immense pain. A pain the she never felt before. It felt like she broke her leg at the same time it was on fire. Each time she tried to place weight on it, it collapsed from the pain causing her to fall over.

“AppleJack!” Cried Twilight and Pinkie as they watched her get shot and fall to the grown.

“You Monsters!” cried Pinkie as she looked like she wanted to attack the creatures that hurt her friend.

“Surrender or die!” said one of the creatures.

Pinkie geared up to attack the closet creature and charged only to be caught in a purple ora keeping her still. “No Pinkie. “ said Twilight. She didn’t want to lose a friend to these creatures like this. “We surrender,” said Twilight submissively
