A New World Unfolds

Artemis: So what are you guys up to?

Nate: Nothing.

Kate: Same.

Artemis: So no one is up to anything?

Ben: Just editing a video Flare and I made.

Bailey: I’m just sitting here being bored.

Nate: Aren't you always?

Bailey: Shut up Nate.

And there they go again Artemis thought to himself, somehow this group always started fighting even if we don’t know each other personally. Kate was just watching the feud between Nate and Bailey like always but also tried to stop it. Flare went off to go do something while Ben trying to edit the video.

??? Sent a file “???” ‘Accept’ ‘Decline’

Artemis shot up from his seat looking over what he just received. He was looking over the group messages to check to see who this nameless person was, but nothing was showing up along with the group members. “You guys are seeing this to right? Who the hell is this “???” and what is this file?”

Everyone in the group agreed they were seeing the exact same thing, the message still going off to accept the file or not. A few minutes of talking about it and everyone decided to see what it was even though it was sent from someone not in the group somehow. All at once they all clicked accepted and waited for the download, and once it was finished they all clicked open. Suddenly there was a huge flash along the sound of a roaring thunder and Artemis, Kate, Flare, Ben, Nate, and Bailey felt over rushed by a warm feeling and saw themselves being enveloped in a blinding light. Just as if it couldn't get any weirder there was a sound of a explosion along with all of them feeling a bit of a burning feeling around them. And then as if the world was still the world vanished around them. Artemis not letting himself being overwhelmed tried to fight it but was tossed like a rag doll. The sudden as if he thought it was over he hit something and blacked out.

Artemis slowly regain consciousness, he felt nothing but a burning pain and was badly bruised. “Just what the hell hit me a semi?” He said through the violent coughs. He put his hand to the ground and felt for a wall. He felt something rough that felt like a tree and opened his eyes but was blinded by the light, not giving up he opened his eyes that was adjusting to the light and saw that he was in a forest.

“How in bloody hell did I get here?” He mumbled and finally got up to his feet, but stopped dead in his tracks as he looked down. His clothes were singed, covered in bruises and scratches. Artemis tried to step forward but it was a slow and painful, but he continued on anyway in search of help. It was either get help or die in the woods which was something he would not allow.

After about half an hour of nonstop walking Artemis heard the sound of clopping and began to go faster. Artemis quickly ran through the bushes but saw a dirt round but with no one in sight. He sighed and decided to go to his east, it was better than facing the sun to which he hated. “Stupid sun, how I despise you.” He cursed to himself and continued walking, but slowing down. He’d been walking for about an hour and no sign of anyone, and felt himself slipping into sleep.

“I won’t give in, I refuse to so listen to my body.” He said through sharp breathes, but it seemed like his body really didn't want to and he collapsed as his world vanished into darkness once again.

“-idea.”

“-been slipping between consciousness.”  Talking? Artemis said to himself, he felt the warmth of a bed and blanket along with some restriction that would probably be bandages and some of the throbbing pain had gone away. The voices sounded feminine.  Artemis deciding to check out who his saviors we’re he tried to get up, but his body just wouldn’t listen once again ‘Damn it body, I control you so listen to me’ he mumbled, which earned him a gasp as the people who saved him probably heard him.

“Oh no please don’t try to get up you might hurt yourself.” Said a concerned voice, it sound so nice even though there was worry in it, there was a certain softness in it that made him sit back down. Artemis wanting to see who saved him, opened his eyes but only the light of the room was there but it was still bright. He looked to his right to expect something other than what was there. In front of him were two ponies, one had a pink mane and yellow coat but had a pair of wings! The other had a lavender coat and a darker shaded mane with a couple of streaks in it but a little bit hidden in the mane was a horn! Artemis slowly felt like he was in a dream but the pain was all too real. For a few moments it was just silent as Artemis looked at the two ponies, that was until one of them spoke.

“Hi my name is-“She was cut short as Artemis screamed and jumped back by the lavender pony talking. ‘Yep you finally lost all your sanity and now there is a talking pony in the same room as him’ He thought to himself. The other pony could probably talk but hid behind the purple one right as he screamed. Suddenly a glowing aura of some sort enveloped him and her horn and then once again for the third time today Artemis vision faded into blackness.

“What the bloody hell that’s the third time today.” He said as he opened his eyes, while it was still night time the two ponies were gone and Artemis was alone, for the first time he looked around the room to see the walls were yellow, while the floor boards and bed were green. Artemis tried to get up and it finally worked for once. He slowly stood up and examined his body, he was head to toe in bandages  which some blood was seen through the white cloth, it was then he noticed that he was wearing nothing but his boxers and felt a warm feeling rush over him.

“Where are my clothes?!” He said embarrassed, and began looking around the room but it was in vain as no sign of his clothes were found. Suddenly he heard the door creak open and looked to see the yellow pony slowly coming and noticing him. By the voice earlier and the looks it was probably a mare, she gasped and hid behind the door and Artemis face palmed at his actions earlier and realizing this is indeed real. He wrapped himself in the blanket and clear his throat.

“Hey um sorry I screamed earlier, I was just freaking out because of my condition and was just overwhelmed is all. So I guess since I was rude earlier my name is Artemis.” The yellow pony slowly slide through the door way and looked at you and mumbled something.

“Sorry what was that I couldn't hear you, could you repeat please?” She once again talked a bit louder and he could faintly hear it. “Uh one more time please?”

“M-my n-name is F-Fluttershy, and if you d-don’t mind. W-what are y-you?” "Fluttershy huh? And does she really not know what a human is?” Artemis thought to himself.

“Me? I’m a human, and by the looks of it you’re a pony but what’s with the wings?” Truth be told Artemis was really curious as the whole wings and horn thing.

“I-I’m a Pegasus, and I never seen a human before. We thought you were a Diamond Dog who lost all his hair, even more so because of the burn marks on you.” Artemis did see the reason behind there thinking, but he then realized something, this pony who has never seen a human before, and nowhere on Earth had talking ponies with wings and horns. He was an alien to this world and probably the only human. Something out of the corner of his eye he didn't see before. On Fluttershy’s flank were three butterflies

“What the hell, is that some sort of ass tattoo?” He asked himself, but Fluttershy looked to where you were looking and with a shocked reaction and then blushed, proceeding to hide behind her mane. By her reaction he thought why her reaction was like that, then it hit him like a train and he blushed and began to apologize saying he was just looking because of those markings. She then went from embarrassed to shock in a couple of seconds.

“You mean that you have no idea what this is?” She said pointing to the trio of butterflies and he shook his head.  After that she went on saying it’s called a cutie mark. "Oh um sorry but I'm curious do you humans have any wings or magic? Also I noticed you had canines for eating meat with, so you don't have to worry about anyone freaking out, we know there are some races who eat meat but we ponies don't usually." Artemis explained that humans have no magic or wings like the ponies do but told Fluttershy they had advance technology, Fluttershy seemed a bit fascinated as Artemis told her what machines the humans had. Artemis also though to him that it might take a lot of work to get used to the whole meat thing.  For what seemed like hours of nonstop talking explaining to each other about their species. It was around midnight when Fluttershy yawned and took off to bed.

Artemis just sat on his bed thinking of his situation but didn't want to lose anymore sleep. Considering the day he has had Artemis just relaxed and this time welcomed the world vanishing as he slipped into sleep.

“Uh what is going on?” Artemis said to himself, he no longer felt the warmth of the bed or blanket but instead was in a area complete void of anything. As if he was on glass he looked down to see a transparent floor whilst a vortex of blinding light circled below him. Suddenly he felt sick but had nothing to vomit so he just hacked and coughed.

“Well then we see our visitor doesn't like this area of choosing so why not something more relaxing.” Said a regal voice. Suddenly the whole area changed into a beautiful field with a castle in the background. Artemis looked at and recognized it as Hyrule Castle; he just looked at it stunned and remembered there was someone else here. He slowly stood up and turned around but what greeted him were two ponies. Taller than Fluttershy there were just a little shorter than he was with large wings and horns, One of them was a navy blue with a star flowing mane, while the other was pure white with a celestial flowing mane. Both looked quite regal and were the prime example of royalty especially with there, shoes, tiara’s, and necklace’s.

“How do you prefer this area, and allow me to introduce myself I am Princess Celestia and this is my sister Princess Luna, my student wrote me a letter about you so we decided to see who you were but were far too busy during the day . Now before you asked we picked a random place from your memory and this is the Realm of Dreams my sister’s domain.” The voice was so gentle and had a motherly tone that made him relax. The princess known as Luna just started at him with curiosity while her sister just smiled.

“The name’s Artemis Night, and before you ask I’m a human from another world. And sorry if I look like shit, apparently being tossed from another world will beat you up.” He chuckled softly, while Celestia joined him with soft laugh of her own.

“Well then it’s very nice to meet you Artemis, and as if you read my mind we were wondering what you were especially after my students little freak out.” Artemis thought back and realized that the lavender pony was probably this student of hers, so Artemis asked and guessed correct. After a few minutes of questions and answers Celestia said that she would once again be sending her student who was apparently named Twilight Sparkle to see him to record. He was fine just as long as it didn't drive him even more insane.

“Oh there is one more thing you should know Artemis.” Celestia said, she proceeded to tell him there was reports of species exactly like him. Six total for the amount of humans Celestia said. Besides him the rest were being sent to canterlot also in the same condition as him. Reason why Artemis wasn't sent was because you were in Ponyville where he personal student lived so she didn't have to worry about you. He asked if he could see these other humans and she agreed and said she would call for a carriage to pick you up tomorrow. So after saying there good byes Celestia waved while Luna began to end the spell. As if on cue his world faded into black and lost consciousness.

“Hey, it’s time to get up sleepyhead.” Said a gentle voice, Artemis slowly opened his eyes to see Fluttershy with the lavender unicorn again but this time he knew her name it was Twilight. After about a couple minutes of chatting he told them about the carriage coming to pick him up and Twilight began to panic. Artemis asked Fluttershy for his clothes which had been washed and dried but still damaged but he still requested to wear them anyway. So after about ten minutes of getting ready Fluttershy and Twilight helped him up and walking again. So as they all waited for the carriage on the porch of Fluttershy’s cottage, but what he didn't expect was a punch of buff stallions with wings pulling the carriage. As they all loaded up Artemis grabbed the edge as they took off at high speeds. The only time he’s flown is in planes a couple of times but not like this.

After about half an hour of flying a castle came into view which he saw earlier but didn't pay attention. This must be where the Princesses live, he thought. But this is also where he would meet the other humans. Five minutes passed when they finally touched down on the platform where Celestia stood. All the guards bowing including Twilight and Fluttershy, so not feeling disrespectful he bowed to where Celestia told them all to rise. Twilight and Celestia shared a quick hug, Celestia said he was the first human to arrive and how it was great to meet in person. Artemis asked where Luna was and she responded telling him she was sleeping. She proceeded to tell him their roles as they walked to the throne room. Just a few minutes passed when they finally made it. The throne room was huge with marble columns and stained glasses, but one thing seemed strange to him. In a couple of the stained glass windows were six ponies two resembling the smaller ponies near him but thinking out loud he heard a chuckle. Celestia explained that Fluttershy and Twilight were among the six Elements of Harmony. Surprised Twilight explained their elements which was no big surprise but Twilight said once this is over he would have to meet the rest of the element wielders. After about ten minutes the doors opened and among the guards were five humans who you recognized. “No bloody way in hell.” Artemis said, among the five were Nate, Kate, Ben, Flare, and Bailey, all the people who clicked the file were sent here.

“Well then isn't this a surprise, everyone here clicked the file. I guess we have this mystery guy to thank for why we’re here.” All of them shook their heads but some glaring at the others, sure all of you are friends but that comes without saying each person here is different. Artemis and Nate were rivals, Kate and Ben were friends in real life, Ben and Flare were great friends and made videos, Artemis and Bailey were friends in real life. So each person here at least knows each other so that’s a relief on everyone. After Celestia explained all of them were going to stay in Ponyville so the princesses know where all of you are and also that you can be with the elements, Artemis and everyone else had no problems as to Twilight and Fluttershy were introduced as two of the six wielders. Fluttershy being as shy as she is hid behind Artemis but to no avail, Celestia has prepared all of the humans with train tickets but before they all left she healed them up with her magic. Artemis and the rest began to panic at the warm sensation because of what they felt right before being hurled like a human fireball but quickly calmed down to the relaxing feeling. All of them left the castle as to five of the six humans were being questioned by a one Twilight Sparkle as to Fluttershy sitting next to Artemis on the train ride discussing animals. Artemis mentioned that he had a strange talent with animals and Fluttershy proposed he stayed with her to help out at the cottage. While Celestia gave them all bits to stay at a Inn until all of them could buy a place of there own Artemis decided to take her up on the deal.  As the sun was setting and night coming into view, Artemis stared out at the beauty of the night sky in awe. “Amazing isn't it?” He heard Fluttershy ask,  responding with a yes and told he told her that he always preferred night over day and continued to stare at the stars and the moon.

As the train stopped everyone began to take off and Fluttershy and Artemis went back to her cottage. On the way back there was one store open and Artemis asked to stop real quick, the shop was Quills & Sofa’s so he went inside quickly got a navy blue notebook, ink, and some quills. Fluttershy was outside staring at the night sky in awe as he returned and resumed their walk back to the cottage.

It was late by the time they got back so Fluttershy said she was going off to bed for the night while Artemis said he would go in just a few moments. So he picked up his new journal and started writing and after about fifteen minutes of writing he decided to continue up in the guest room where he was now staying. Artemis lay on his bed continuing to write about the day's events. So as he finished up just about ready to fall asleep he closed his eyes but not before staring up at the moon and fading into sleep.
