A New World Unfolds

Darkness, just a endless amount of darkness. Artemis could see nothing but himself, as he slowly floated along. He just floated there watching when he heard whispers. “Soon, chaos shall be brought upon this land.” The voice said, it had no actual sound but he knew what it was saying. Artemis thought nothing of what the voice said.

“It’s probably myself overthinking things again” He said to no one in particular as he endless floated, but as he closed his eye and woke up in his room. The bed was still rather small for him not being a pony and all but was still acceptable. As Artemis put on his clothes and walked downstairs Fluttershy was preparing breakfast.

“Morning Fluttershy” Artemis said which caused her to jump a little before realizing it was him, after seeing that he quickly said sorry. He thought that she must still not be familiar with someone else living with her, so after some idle chit chat between Artemis and Fluttershy, she informed him that he was supposed to meet the other elements today. But before he did there was something else that was needed before they went, the remaining humans that were staying at the inn. So both the mare and human began they’re walk to Ponyville which got Artemis a bit nervous. This would be the first time he actually went into town, for the past few days he has been in the forest, Fluttershy’s house, and the palace.

"Uh are you all right Artemis you seem kinda nervous?" Artemis quickly snapped out of his trace to see Fluttershy looking at him with concerned eyes.

"Yeah I'm just nervous, it's the first time I have gone into town. The only places I have been so far was in the Everfree, the palace, and your house, I just don't like being the center of attention is all." As Artemis and Fluttershy walked into town, Artemis not knowing his way around he asked if Fluttershy could lead the way to the inn to check on his fellow humans. As they walked through town and he tell eyes were looking upon him, it made him feel uneasy which he hid well behind a calm face.

‘It’s a good thing I mostly show emotion to my close friends he thought, if I didn’t I would look like a nervous wreck about now.’ He said in his head, if he was around friends he would show more emotion but to the public he kept a straight face that showed he was unaffected to anything. When they arrived at the inn Nate, Kate, Ben, Flare, and Bailey began walking out with Twilight.

"HEY GUYS OVER HERE!" Artemis yelled which was reward as it caught the attention of his friends.

"Hey Artemis and Fluttershy, you guys off to meet with the rest of the girls too?" Twilight asked, which Artemis and Fluttershy shacked their heads. As they all began walking Artemis felt a tap on his shoulder, he turned around to see Nate looking at him.

"So what do you think of this world so far, it's a lot different that's for sure but I'm surprised your okay with it. I assumed that this place was to colorful for you."

"I don't know I just like this world, and while it is rather colorful and I would like it to be toned down I like it. It's not like our world gray world of anger and hate." Artemis replied back to Nate, both shacked their heads in understanding that they didn't like their home world. Artemis still facing towards the back noticed 'Flare' was looking like he was ready to fall asleep any second now as Ben and Kate tried to keep him awake. Artemis laughed which everyone heard but he didn't seem to care as he walked over and helped Flare keep going.

"So Twilight where are we heading to anyway?" Bailey asked, by now it was surprising to them no one had bother asking till now.

"We are meeting our friends at Sugercube Corner, trust me if you have a sweet tooth this place is your dreams come true. It isn't to far from now so it won't take long." As the group continued on to SugerCube corner a voice yelled out that startled everyone.

"LOOK OUT!!!!" Artemis first thought was going down but he quickly  brought down Fluttershy to protect her from whatever was coming this way. Unfortunately Ben was not lucky and got hit by the flying object. After Artemis made sure no one was in anymore danger he got right up to check on his friend, but looked confused as to what the flying object was. On top of Ben was a mare with a gray coat with a golden mane and tail.

"Uggghhhhh! Oh sorry mister I lost control of my flight! I'm so sorry!" Said the mare, Artemis noticed that along with her golden mane she had a matching pair of golden eyes that shined in the day light. But for now Artemis quickly got his friend up with the help of Kate and Flare.

"It's fine...ughhhhhh..." Artemis quickly glanced at Ben to see if he was all right but was even more surprised how dumb struck he looked. Artemis lightly punched Ben's arm to snap him out of it which worked.

"Oh I'm sorry I never introduced myself I'm Ditzy Doo, but most ponies just call me 'Derpy'." Artemis flinched when he heard that, he just now noticed her eyes were crossed eyed and judging by how she crashed he thought the she must be clumsy but there really was no need for a name like that.

"I'm Artemis, and this is Ben the guy you just crashed into is Ben." Once again Ben was dumb struck and the same process was repeated. So after a little bit of small talk between Ben and Ditzy she quickly got right back to her job. Ben however looked like a fool who was love struck which made Artemis wonder 'If we are to live in this world now, does it matter if we are a different species?' In those terms Artemis thought and saw no harm as to why it wouldn't be accepted, but he knew that it would be a difficult road to take because of the morals from there world. The thought of kissing a pony sounded weird to Artemis but pointed out to himself that it shouldn't matter what species you are since they just have a different body but still are fully capable of being a person like anyone else. So all them continued on there walk while Artemis wondered around the new subject he came across.

Throughout the walk Artemis felt the eyes of the other ponies again which he put his hands in his pockets and tightened up his fist, 'so what if I’m different to look at me like I’m sort of freak from a circus' he said in his head. When they arrived there all the humans including Artemis were dumbfounded, the house looked like a giant gingerbread house and the smell of sweets was in the air. As they all walked in in the corner of the room you could see a cyan Pegasus waving over to Twilight and Fluttershy which the six humans walked to the table with them.

“So these are the guys you wanted us to meet, pretty weird looking if you ask me.” Said the cyan Pegasus, a mare no doubt depending on her body shape. Artemis quickly analyzed some ponies on the way here and began pointing out differences in genders, but thought back to what she just said. “Well to me you’re the weird one, so far I haven’t seen anyone with your type of main style. That seemed to spark something but Twilight quickly interrupted.

“Well then I think it’s about time we move onto introductions shall we?” The lavender mare said. Sitting across from Artemis was a alabaster unicorn mare and right next to her was a orange pony without a horn or wings meaning she was normal to him, she also worse a Stetson hat which made him think more. Sitting next to Fluttershy and Twilight was a completely pink mare, with hair the resembled cotton candy. Her blue eyes almost matched Artemis’s but his was a bit different, depending on his mood. If he was happy it would be a clear blue that rivaled a clear lake, if he was mad then it would become a darker shade of blue which rivaled the dark waters of the sea during a storm, but most importantly if someone were to somehow make him really mad they would be a soulless gray, but within each of those colors he had a weird tint of yellow hidden in it which could be seen on some occasions.

“Well then, I shall begin the introductions.” Said the alabaster unicorn. “I am Rarity, owner of the carousel boutique if any of you wish I could make you some new clothes. I like a challenge and your figure could open a new world of fashion.” She said with pride, next was the cyan Pegasus as she cleared her throat to begin talking.

“I’m Rainbow Dash, fastest flyer in all of Equestria! Future Wonderbolt! And to you mister blue, my hair is natural.” She said to Artemis, ‘What?’ he said in his head, ‘so what if my hair is dyed blue and my clothes are black and blue, I like it.’ He said to himself, but just as she finished the orange mare cleared her throat and began to speak.

“Howdy I’m AppleJack, I work at Sweet Apple Acres over yonder since ‘ya probably saw it coming from ‘Shy’s place.” Artemis for the third time thought to himself like how he does meeting everyone. ‘She seems to take a lot of pride in her work but not surprising as I did see that giant orchard of apple trees going on the way to town.’ And the final mare the one that looks like she was about to exploded from excitement and introduced herself.

“Hi I’m Pinkie Pie, what’s your name, what do you like, what do you dislike, what foods do you eat?” Before she could a hoof come up to her mouth and she stopped talking. ‘This one may have to take some getting used to, not really a hyper or energetic person like she appears to be but I guess it’s our turn to introduce ourselves.

“Well now since you all have introduced yourselves it is our turn. For one my name is Artemis Night and all of us are called Humans which we used to live in another world. So I guess so far what I like is reading, writing, peace and quiet, the night, and being around friends.

“Um........ I guess I will go next" Said Kate, she said art, writing, drawing, music are my likes and I'm also a bit shy". Next came Ben who wanted to talk already his likes was games, videos, and hanging out with friends, while he also said that he and Kate are great friends. Next was Flare, which he proceeded to tell them he likes reading, making videos, talking with his friends, and playing games but along the way that he prefers to be called Flare instead of his real name. Bailey began to speak saying he liked drawing, games and sleep. The last human who has not introduce himself was Nate who cleared his throat and began saying his likes were guns, knives, military grade stuff, and games. Artemis quickly said that he by the looks so of it might plan on joining the Royal Guard. So after the introductions Pinkie quickly left and said that she has to throw them a welcome party. So after about a couple hours of talking all the mares telling you about their crazy adventures.

“Well now that makes my life sound boring, all I have done for some sort of adventure was run away from a train.” He said, all of them looked like he was crazy but told them he was crossing a bridge with his friend and a train came sooner than expected so they ran and made it to the other side and then vanished into the woods nearby so they wouldn’t get in trouble. As they began to walk to the other room to see what all the noise that appeared to be going on they looked in and say that a party was going on. Artemis was dumbfounded at the sight as were all the other humans, the mares were perfectly fine and Pinkie came up to them all hyper as usual. Deciding its best not to ask questions Artemis quickly made his way into the corner of the room, suddenly a slight chill passed over him and he felt dizzy. He heard whispering but it was like the one from last night.

“No one is safe, he shall spread chaos and he will be unable to stop what he has created” The voice said, suddenly all of the coldness Artemis felt was gone. He stood there eyes open thinking about what it just said, if this voice is bothering him about this it means something is going to go down soon.

Everyone seemed to be having a great time, Nate was talking to Twilight, Rarity was bugging Kate who seemed was being pestered about fashion from Earth, 'Flare' was talking with AJ which actually surprised Artemis, Bailey and Ben were being interrogated by the pink terror known as Pinkie Pie. Artemis looked around the room to see Rainbow and Fluttershy talking so as he had nothing else to do Artemis proceeded to walk over.

"Hey girls, what are you doing?" Artemis asked, which Rainbow jumped right up to tell him.

"I was just telling 'Shy here about how I won a sparring match yesterday, which no surprise I won." Rainbow bragged but the word spar seemed to catch Artemis's attention.

"Wait sparring as in martial arts? Well then we might actually have to spar since I also know a martial art." Rainbow seemed pumped that she would have another sparring match so soon especially against a opponent so different from her, as they continued there talk Twilight came over some time to see what was going on.

"Oh Artemis, if it isn't to much trouble can you sing a song from your world? Since I am also studying you I would like to know how the music from your world is." Artemis stared blankly for a sec before he saw Fluttershy looking at him like she wanted to her some music to. So with a sigh he said yes and told Pinkie what he was planning. As he got on stage he looked around to see all eyes on him, but he completely ignored them, Pinkie plugged in his phone into the speakers but the only problem was is that he had to sing the lyrics. His phone turned out all right even after the crash but the deal was is that all of his music had the instruments but no lyrics.

On the sound of the music he closed his eyes for his cue he began to sing as the night went on.

As Artemis finally stopped he looked up to the sound of stomping hooves, especially from the girls that asked him for the song and his friends clapping. When Artemis got off stage he was being flooded by all the ponies that heard him sing which he really wanted to get out of the whole being in the spotlight deal.

"Artemis that was great! You should sing more often." Said Pinkie Pie, who was bugging Artemis like everyone else. As the party started to die down everyone agreed to go home, but what surprised Artemis is that Flare said he was going home with AJ to work on the farm, while Kate was going home with Rarity, Bailey staying at Sugercube Corner, and the only ones returning to the inn were Ben and Nate. The road to Fluttershy's house was along the same road to AJ's farm but along the silent walk in the early night Fluttershy tapped Artemis's leg to get his attention.

"U-Um Artemis, i-if you don't mind c-can you sing one more song? T-that is if you want to." Artemis didn't respond with anything negative but smiled as he patted Fluttershy on the head with a smile answering her question. So on the way Flare, AJ, Flare, and Artemis stopped on top of a hill with a lone tree. Artemis the only one standing up as the rest of his friends sitting down waiting for the song to begin.

As the song died down he turned around to see his friends in shock, he smiled as he got them all up and continued there walk. "Well here's where we head off, see you tomorrow 'Shy oh and by the way your song was perfect Artemis." AJ tipped her hat as she and Flare walked to the farm. Artemis and Fluttershy finally made it back to her cottage and began feeding the animals a late dinner. After taking care of all the animals Artemis was about to go back in his room but was stopped as he heard Fluttershy speak up.

"I thought today was fun, I hope you had a great time too. Oh and Artemis I loved your songs and I thought your second song was very beautiful." Fluttershy then vanished into her room as Artemis did the same but on the desk by the window he saw a small box. He opened it up to see a journal with a crescent moon on top of it, with it came a note

"We thought that thy would like something to record the events of thy daily life, we also think that you seem to have an interest in the night so we thought that maybe we could talk a little more. Signed, Princess Luna" Artemis said out loud with a smile, as he picked up the pen on the desk and began to write in his new journal he would look at the night sky and smile. So once he was done and proceeded off to bed he fell into a peaceful slumber.

Dream Realm

Artemis felt the softness of grass as he woke up, all he recalled was just falling asleep but as he opened his eyes he noticed that he was no longer in his room but once again Hyrule Field. He heard the clopping of hooves as he turned around to see Princess Luna, showing respect he bowed before the princess of the night as she told him to stand.

"It seems thee had a good day?" Luna asked, Artemis actually told her about today's event and even decided to sing his most recent song. Needless to say Luna loved it but told Artemis she had work to do and that he should get some sleep. As Artemis closed his eyes he fell once again into sleep.

Luna

As Luna walked in the realm of dreams she happened to come across six doors, five of which she has already visited. Each door was the memories of the six humans that were in Equestria, but the finally door is what she wanted to see most. As she opened the door that belonged to Artemis she saw the memories that played out. A young Artemis playing with his friends and seemed to be a pretty happy and kind child, but then the next memories were that of a new teenage Artemis one that was constantly bullied and never got to say anything in any situation but after what was supposed to be the next memory a lock appeared on every screen. It gave off an evil vibe that troubled the lunar princess, as she turned around a door that had darkness leaking out of it had multiple chains with locks on them. When she approached the door she was suddenly stopped and unable to move any closer

"Well well well, what would Artemis think if he saw his new friend snooping around in his own head without permission. I'm sure he would be furious and wouldn't want to speak with you again. I will be silent for now but if I ever catch you in here again needless to say, lets see how much you really control the realm of dreams." Luna started to fall asleep as the voice stopped talking but as she glanced up to see the source of the voice she saw a hooded figure as he stood there laughing.
