"Why is nothing simple" Ed asked himself as he pulled out his pocket watch.

He clicked it open after turning the mechanism and checked the time, It was 10 in the morning as he laid there in the tree. He took a second to look at the words inscribed inside his watch and sighed.

"That's right... it's almost time again" Ed said to himself as he closed his watch and slid it back into his pocket.

Ed looked up through the leaves trying to find the sun but failed. The tree was healthy and green. He thought back to what happened last night. Octavia had confessed to him in a very odd way which caused Ed to run out. It wasn't so much that he panicked, but that he wanted to avoid the after conversation of the confession. Luckily before he made his escape he grabbed a fresh pair of clothing and a book to read since he had made the quick decision to sleep outside for the night avoiding any possible confrontation with the violinist.

As he laid there, he pulled out his book from beneath him and started to read it. Ed noticed that he had grabbed the history book and quickly face palmed himself.

"Dammit, I already read this." Ed told himself annoyed.

Before he was about to close the book he remembered that there was another page at the end of it. He flipped to the last page where Twilight and her friends had vanquished the evil within Nightmare Moon and saw where the last page that had been stuck. He pulled the last page apart and was suddenly intrigued as he found that there was actually three other pages behind it. He looked at the first new page and blinked. He then flipped to the other two pages and then paused as he looked at them. Ed slowly closed the book as he thought deeply about what he just saw.

In the last three pages are 3 different words, all three are located at the top of page as a header like all the rest of the pages. But the header is there to describe what mainly happened in that time of history. After the header it describes what happened in a paragraph or two below it. Like the last page which Ed thought was the last.

Darkness Returns

After Nightmare moon returned, The Elements of Harmony, Blah Blah Blah, and Luna returned to her sister's side.

But the only the header is there and nothing else. Ed looked back to the three pages and read them out loud to himself as he flipped through each one.

"Harmony..."

*Flip*

"Love..."

*Flip*

"Darkness..."

Ed closed the book and thought to himself again. Why would a history book have three more pages but no history in them. It didn't make sense but Ed shrugged it off and decided not to question it for now. He would ask Twilight later if they made some kind of error in the book or if it's just like that for some reason. Either way he was done with the book and decided to nap for a while since he had nothing better to do.

He put the book behind his head as a pillow and got comfortable in his tree as he began to fall asleep. If only he had the chance to sleep as he heard two familiar voices coming his way.

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight's mind was on something else as she walked with Applejack carrying a smaller bag of apples while her assistant Spike followed close behind. She had accompanied AJ to help her gather some apples but was occupied at the moment as she thought hard. She had so many questions for the new human in there world and she didn't even know where to start... or when. She had been trying to find a good and explainable excuse for her to interview Ed. Though that wasn't the case, she secretly wanted to spend more time with Ed, she didn't know why but she found him very interesting and surprisingly mysterious. She wanted to know more about him and his life back on Earth.

"Hey Twi..."

She had been thinking about this ever since she woke up. Heck she hadn't even had breakfast because she was thinking so hard.

"Twilight..."

Maybe she should ask someone, their ideas might help her think clearly.

"TWILIGHT!"

The librarian snapped back to reality as she heard her name being called.

"Huh?" Twilight said as she shook her head slightly and looked over to Applejack who was folding her arms looking unimpressed.

"What is it?" Twilight asked as she felt Spike bump into her as she suddenly stopped to talk to her friend.

Applejack sighed before putting her arms down to her side. "It's about Ed... I think that-"

"Oh Ya!" Twilight gleamed remembering what she was thinking.

"What do you think would be a good excuse- er I mean question to ask Edward?" Twilight asked slightly embarrassed.

"What? No Twi just-" AJ stopped talking as she let out a breath. "Look Twilight I need to speak to you about Ed, there's-"

The farmer heard a loud thud beside her and stopped talking as she and Twilight both looked to their side.

Spike was the first one to speak.

"Woah, was that?" The dragon asked as he moved from behind Twilight and looked at the figure who was laying on the ground.

"Urg... Hey girls... and Dragon?"

Edward Elric

Ed was now walking with the Twilight and Applejack as he carried the librarians bag of apples. Close behind was Spike who was asking the human many questions as they walked.

"Can you breath fire?! No wait can you fly?! Oh Oh Oh how about mind control!?" Spike asked as he bombarded the human.

"No Spike, I don't really have any magic, But... " Ed smiled as took and apple out of the bag and set it on his head as he still walked.

"Hold your hands out." Ed said as Spike did as he said. The human slyly grinned and turned to the two mares in front of him.

Ed slid to AJ's side and leaned into her whispering something into the mare's ear.

Just then the mare stopped and turned around with a deep color of red on her face and suddenly had a foot coming around to kick Ed in the head.

Ed just ducked quickly dodging the kick and letting the apple take the blow.

Spike had been just a few feet away as the apples pieces came flying into his hands. Spike had blinked as he just let what happen run through his mind multiple times. Ed was already walking back to the dragon with a confident grin on his face.

"I may not have any powers, but I do know a lot of cool tricks." Ed said winking at the dragon as he picked up a couple pieces from the dragons hands.

"Whoa... Can you teach me some of your tricks too?!" Spike gleamed as he had stars shining in his eyes.

Ed was a second from eating his apple piece when he stopped and acknowledged what the dragon said.

~"Ed Brother can you teach me your tricks too?!"~

~"Sure thing Al, sure thing....."~

Ed snapped out of his flashback and quickly shook his head, he forgot Spike had said something and looked down to see him still gleaming with stars in his eyes.

"Sure thing Spike, sure thing." Ed smiled as he took a bite out of his piece and started walking away from the dragon.

As he approached Applejack he noticed that the purple mare was gone and tilted his head as he looked for her.

"Where's Twilight?" Ed asked Applejack who was folding her arms and looking the other way from Ed hiding her blush.

Ed sighed. "Jeez Applejack take a joke will ya, any if your not gonna tell me then I'm going on ahead to find Twilight"

Ed started walking past Applejack but stopped as he now stood behind her. Applejack now felt a chill go down her spine as she half turned and looked at Ed.

"If your gonna tell Twilight, then let me tell her first." Ed said as the mare gulped and saw his serious expression.

" What the Hay! What makes her different then me!" AJ asked now wanting to know.

Ed just stood there as they were face to face, each of them staring at each other. Neither of them moved until Spike spoke.

"Hey guy's what's going-" Spike never got to finish as he suddenly burped up a wave of fire from his mouth.

Ed stuck his right hand out into the flame before the flame had disappeared and grabbed it's contents. Both Spike and Applejack both blinked as Ed did this and pulled out a scroll from the flame. As the flame evaporated Ed found that the thing he had grabbed was a scroll and scratched his head.

"Jeez old habit's die hard I guess." Ed said as he sighed and looked at the mare and dragon who were dumbfounded.

"What?" Ed asked causing the dragon to shake his head and snap back to reality.

"What do you mean what? Didn't that hurt?" Spike asked the human as he looked as his right hand still holding the scroll.

"Is is supposed to hurt?" Ed asked causing the dragon to face palm.

"Well not unless your like part dragon or something, wait that's a letter from Princess Celestia" Spike panicked as he suddenly remembered that the scroll was there.

He ran up to Ed and tried to grab it but Ed put it out of his reach.

"Woah there big guy, what's the rush?" Ed asked as he was confused at the dragons expression.

"I have to get it to Twilight right now, It might be urgent!" Spike said as he stopped reaching for it and looked around for Twilight.

"If it's that important then I'll get it too her." Ed smiled as the dragon's facial expression changed into a happy one.

"You will?" Spike shined as he looked up to Ed.

"In no time." Ed grinned as he started walking away.

"Oh and Applejack." Ed stopped and turned around seeing Applejack still facing the other way from him.

"Be a good cowgirl, would you?" Ed smirked.

Applejack's eyes widened and she felt her cheeks rise to a flame, she turned quickly ready to assault the human but found him no where in sight, she looked all around but found that he was gone.

"Shoot, that's what I get for not lookin at the dang fool." AJ said to herself as she face palmed.

"He's even faster then Rainbow is at running." Spike said causing the mare to quickly change her tone.

"Oh sorry Spike, forgot you were there." The mare said rubbing her head.

Spike looked over to Applejack and could tell that she was bothered. "What's wrong Applejack? Do you not like Edward or something?"

The mare sighed before kneeling down. "Of course I like Edward, Spike, It's just that me and him don't see eye to eye right now... that's all."

"I see." Spike said happy that she at least likes him. "Wait, what did he say the first time to get you to kick him?"

"Conversation over." Applejack quickly stood up and started walking back home.

"Wait what? Hold on, why did you get all mad too the second time?!" Spike asked as he caught up to the mare who was now jogging home with a red face.

Back to Ed

Ed was slowing down as he sensed that Twilight was ahead and started unraveling the the scroll.

"What's so urgent now...huh?"

Ed skimmed the scroll as he found out that the gala was coming and that Twilight was invited and allowed to bring a plus one. Ed had read about the gala and thought that it would be pretty cool. But then he read that only the high and mighty were invited and remembered going to such and event-like party back on his earth. Everyone one was either too good to talk to you or too important to look at you. Either way he had asked M on there walk to the store that one day if the gala was boring. Sure enough M had went on a rant about how bad the gala was and also put that it would be a lot better if they just visit doughnut Joe and hangout with there.

Ed grabbed the two tickets and gave them a unimpressed look. He sighed and safely put them into his pocket as he continued to read the last of the scroll. Ed's attention was suddenly glued to the last bit of the paper as his name was mentioned.

"We need to talk about Edward, When is an appropriate time to talk." Ed said out loud as he read the last sentence.

Ed sighed and rolled up the scroll putting it into his bag of apples which he still had.

"Looks like I gotta history lesson to teach later." Ed said as dashed off.

He had been only about half a minute before he saw Twilight still walking in one direction. Ed smiled and came up behind her slowing down as he got closer. Twilight still hadn't noticed him to his surprise and decided to keep it that way as he walked beside her now.

"Hey Twilight, what are you doing?" Ed asked hoping that the mare would automatically respond.

"Thinking of ways to talk to Ed" The mare said in a semi serious tone.

Ed snickered before poking her on the shoulder.

Twilight felt the poke and stopped moving as she turned to the source. "Yes what is it?" Twilight asked before realizing who was standing beside her.

Ed just smiled and waved hi as she put the pieces together in her mind.

"You heard me didn't you?" Twilight asked as she felt a blush coming on.

"Ya, but first we need to talk." Ed said getting out the two tickets from his pocket.

5 minutes later

After explaining that the Princess had wanted to meet her and Ed later for a private meeting. Twilight had decided to tell Spike when she got back to send a letter to the Princess saying that past 9 pm is fine, but it was when Ed had explained that the two tickets he gave Twilight where for the gala and her plus one, she had squealed with delight and asked if they could head back home immediately to tell Spike the good news. Ed declined and told her to go ahead and that he would go to deliver these apples to the farm. She happily accepted and thanked him for carrying her bag before leaving back to town. Now Ed walked alone thinking deeply about how he should approach his coming meeting with the Princess and Twilight.

He neared what seemed to be a farm, he smiled and saw the sign the read Sweet Apple Acres. When he walked into the area he saw that there where more apple trees here then anywhere along the road. He neared what looked like the main house before hearing a bunch of girls screaming from beside him. He looked and suddenly let time slow down for his eyes.

He saw that the three crusader girls where on some kind of go kart heading right for him. He turned his head and saw that there were headed for a fence if he where to move. He looked back and saw that no one was around and breathed slowly letting time fall back into place.

"Hang on tight!" Ed yelled, preparing himself for the car.

Author's Note

Personally I don't know about this chapter, I like it then I just feel like I could have done better.

But how about that Comedy :D But really I just want to get this chapter out because the chapter next is going to matter alot and also harder to write and I need feedback and stuff from my followers (you) so that I can make this story more entertaining and easier for me to write :3 Not that I don't like a challenge but shit people do you even want to know how Ed [Insert Super Important sentence here].
