Ed laid there on his tree branch, pondering about the events of yesterday mixed with his own personal problems. Ed was given an award which he didn't accept. Octavia and him fought but was interrupted by Pinkie Pie who caught his his punch with no sweat making the human more careful around the mare. Applejack had suddenly confessed yesterday catching the human off guard. Ed not wanting to break the mares heart told her the truth that he did have feelings for her but he knew that it wouldn't last because of how rushed it was. She barely knew him at all to begin with. If anything it was time to get up as he felt sudden warmth from the sun on him. It was morning as Ed looked from his tree and saw the tip of the sun rising from over the mountains.

He went ahead pulled out one of his books from his new shoulder bag which he loved by the way. Before he had left he put in his phone and the new charger, a small journal, a couple books from Twilight, and the one history book that bothered Ed. The book he pulled out had the word's "Equestria Today" on it and he began reading it.

The Mane Six

Twilight was walking ahead of the group very mad that the fact that Ed hadn't accepted the award the mayor was giving him. With her were her 5 best friends trying to keep up with the mare as she stormed over to Ed's apartment.

"Don't you think we should calm down Twilight?" Rainbow Dash said looking over to Rarity.

"At this point darling I'm afraid that Fluttershy couldn't even calm her down" The diva said looking to Fluttershy.

"She's really mad" Fluttershy said in the back of the group as she kept her distance from the angry unicorn.

"Yes sir-e!" Pinkie said as she kept bouncing along.

"Well I would say something to the mare but she just got done replacing mah family's house so she's all yours girls if any of ya'll are up to it" Applejack said as she could walk properly now without any help.

The girls all looked at each other silently before looking forward to the angry unicorn. They all agreed not to bother her under awkward silence as they continued walking.

5 Minutes Later

Twilight was furiously knocking on front door to the apartment while the other girls kept a distance. A few seconds later a voice from inside could be heard.

"I'm coming I'm coming"

Twilight stopped banging on the door as soon as she heard the voice and heard the door clicking. The door opened shortly after as she saw Vinyl Scratch on the other side.

"What's up Twi?" Vinyl asked as she saw the expression on the mare's face.

"Where is Edward" She asked with angry tone as she leaned towards the mare.

"I don't know, He never came back!?" She said in a hurry not wanting to upset the mare.

Twilight blew steam from her nose before turning around and stomping away.

"Come on girls! Were gonna find that human-" Twilight stopped moving as she felt a tug on her shirt.

She was going to turn around and yell at whoever grabbed her but saw her friends all looking up in the air. She looked up as well and saw a trail of smoke throughout the sky.

"Okay new objective" Twilight said as she turned towards her home and teleported her and her friends.

Vinyl blinked as they were gone in a flash leaving the area windy from the teleportation. She shook her head before shrugging and going back inside.

"Wait wasn't I supposed to tell her something?"

Edward Elric

When Ed had started the book it was 8am, now it was 9am as he finished the book closing it. Ed had learned more about the Equestria world and its society today. But the only thing going through his mind was the fact that polygamy was a thing here. More than 75 percent of the population was made of mares and the other 25 stallions. It made sense now that Ed thought about it. The longer he was here the longer he noticed that there were more mares around then stallions. Heck his only guy friend right now was Spike out of all the friends he made.

Thinking of Spike, he hadn't hung out with him lately. The fact that he was a dragon intrigued Ed. He didn't want to examine him like some mad scientist but wanted to see if he could do anything cool. He had another book about dragons and decided to start reading that.

Mane Six

"All right girls, move out!" Twilight said as she started walking with her friends close behind. She could have swore she heard something but put it off as she looked towards the mountain with determination.

Canderlot Castle

"Hmm...."

Luna was laying against the back of her bed with her notebook in front of her and a pencil in her hand. She was drawing the human again on a new page. She started with the bottom this time and made her way up moving the pencil with such speed it was a blur. She soon finished and held her notebook back getting a good look at the sketch. She soon heard the door click and quickly switched to a new page.

The door opened and Celestia came in with a smile on her face. Luna casually looked to her sister and saw the smile on her face.

"Yes sis what brings you to my room?" Luna asked curious as to why her elder sister was smiling.

"Well you know how the world has changed a bit and I'm not around to guide you that much due to royal duties and such" Celestia said still smiling.

"Yeah?" Luna asked now getting off her bed putting her notebook aside.

"Well I think it's time you learned the new world with our newest visitor" Celestia said with a big smile on her face.

Edward Elric

Ed closed the book after another hour of reading. He went ahead and put the book back into his shoulder bag as he fell off the tree and landed on his feet. He dusted off his back and began walking towards Ponyville taking the dirt road back. Ed walked for a good minute before stopping. He took out his watch and held it in front of his face.

"Was it all an illusion?" Ed asked himself.

He opened the watch and looked at the inscription inside. He smiled and closed it.

"Only one way to find out" He said as he smugged.

Ed brought his hand up with the watch in it and threw it to the ground making it break. Ed looked at his now broken watch and waited for something to happen. Nothing happened. Ed face palmed and cursed.

"Why did I think that was going to do something, god dam-" Ed stopped talking as he saw his watch glow white and suddenly disappear.

"What the?" Ed said as he saw that just happen.

Ed suddenly felt different, his body seemed to be lighter and his sense was blasting as he felt life forms all around him more clearly. Suddenly he felt a pat on the back and half turned to see the red eyed human behind him smiling. He walked around to the front of Ed and motioned him to follow him. Ed nodded and walked beside him as they went down the dirt road.

"So I see you activated unleashed mode again" The man said as he grinned at Ed.

"Yeah... what... what's going on?" Ed asked as he couldn't find the right question.

The man snickered as he twirled his cane. "I'm only here for guidance, nothing more nothing less"

Ed pondered what he said for a minute before speaking again. "What is this Unleashed mode for?"

The man stopped twirling his cane as he stopped and pointed it in Ed's face. "That's for you to decide"

Ed nodded before the man started walking again and Ed as well.

"Well what can I do in it and how long do I have in it?" Ed asked as the man brought a hand to his chin and thought.

"I'm not so sure but as far as I know you can heal your body and slow down time, and as for other abilities you might have that's for you to discover, also it seems your on a time limit while in unleashed mode"

"Time limit?" Ed asked confused

"Yes, there is a certain amount of time your body can take before you lose control of unleashed mode, the first time your where in it you healed and slowed time thanks to me guiding you, but using such powers burned your time on the clock and I pulled you out of it before you lost control"

"What happens if I lose control?" Ed asked.

The man shrugged. "Don't know, but as long as I'm guiding you I can pull you out of-"

"No"

The man stopped talking as he came to a stop and looked at Ed. "What did you say?"

"I said I want control of deactivating unleashed mode" Ed said as he looked back at the man.

The man stood there silent till he sighed and snapped his fingers. "There, all you have to do is think it and your done"

"Thanks" Ed smiled as he bowed a little.

"Yeah yeah just don't get yourself hurt" The man said as he looked away.

Ed stopped bowing as he stood straight now and stopped thinking. Ed looked at the man as he felt a familiar feeling in the back of his head. He couldn't tell why but when he looked at the mans back his head started to get dizzy. He shook his head and looked at the man again who was now twirling his cane.

"Well if you ever need me I'm just a tick away" The man said as he snickered.

"Oh and you might wanna test out one of your abilities right now" The man said as he glowed white before disappearing.

Ed tilted his head in confusion but felt a presence falling very fast to the ground. Ed quickly looked to the sky and saw a orange-like blur flying down towards the ground a few yards away from him. Ed didn't have time to get to whatever it was as it neared the ground. All of a sudden it slowed down till it was almost standing still. Ed blinked as he saw it frozen in the air. He suddenly knew what was happening. This time he was stopping time. Not wanting to waste it, Ed quickly dashed towards the red thing and saw that it was a pegasus as he neared it. Ed suddenly felt his head hurt as he now stood next to he mare as she was about to hit the ground. Ed quickly moved her up a little and positioned her so that he could catch her. Ed felt his head hurt less as he let time resume slowly. He caught the mare feeling the full impact of the fall push him to the ground. Ed let time resume fully and suddenly fell to the floor as the mare impacted him. Ed felt the force of the fall as he now laid with the pegasus on top of him. His head hurt like crazy still but his body didn't.

"Deactivate" Ed said as he suddenly felt the mares weight on top of him. Ed pushed her off and heard the mare coughing up a lung as she awoke.

Ed's head didn't hurt as much as he sat up now. He saw a white orb form in front of him. Ed grabbed it and he looked at his hand as he saw his pocket watch like it was brand new.

He quickly shook his head and looked over to the mare laying on her side calming down now after that coughing spree she had. Ed got up to his feet and walked to her front side and knelled down.

"You okay?" He asked as she nodded and coughed.

"Names Edward Elric" He said as he held out his hand for her.

The mare took his hand and he helped her up.

"Spitfire" She said before coughing again.

Author's Note

So I'm going to release this part early because I need some feedback dearly about future chapters.

Do you readers want Ed to be in Unleashed mode more, If so I can plan ahead and make more changes to the upcoming chapters.

I'm not saying that unleashed mode is going to be in every fight or scene, because Ed is going to be fighting a lot in his human mode regardless.

Besides Unleashed mode, do you guys want a long story or do you want faster progression and less dilly dallying.
