"This is it?"

Ed looked down the building he was standing on as he spotted two guards posted at the front. The building was off in one of the corners of the city where contstruction was still in process for some apartments there. This building in particular was about 2 stories high and looked like a bar from the setup. Ed didn't know if this is where the crooks hanged out or hid out. Guess he would find out shortly.

Ed slowly turned to Lyra who was inspecting each building around them and scanning the perimeter. Ed didn't know anything about this mare and decided to find out who she really was. So far from what he could tell she wasn't a guard or some random pony lending a hand. She knew his name and didn't hesitate to offer assistance, she also didn't react to his magic when he transmuted the wall back into the ground earlier that day, he suspected the guards following him knew of his magic but she wasn't a guard meaning she's seen him use it before or have been told he's had it.

"Hey Lyra..." Ed started getting her attention as she turned to him instantly and smiled.

"Who are you?" He asked as her smiled quickly faded into a thoughtful look.

"Well that depends" She said giving a soft smile.

"On what?" He replied back curious.

She grinned this time as she closed the distance between them two and leaned in towards his ear.

"How much are you willing to tell me about your past"

Ed's heart skipped a beat as he watched the green unicorn slowly lean back straight and smile.

"Guessing from the look on your face we won't be discussing history anytime soon" She said as she started making her way to one of the ends of the buildings.

"If you ever need anything just call, and I'll see what I can do" Lyra said as she turned around for Ed to her and smiled.

"See ya" Then she was gone as she took a step backwards off the building and out of Ed's sight.

Ed himself sighed as he looked back down to the entrance and began weighing his options. On one hand he could call the guards and have them arrest the ponies inside for trying to kill little Diamond Tiara, but he didn't have any proof. On the other he could try to find some proof but that would take to long and arose suspicion from his friends. He felt a sudden depression hit as he didn't have any idea's and was running out of time.

Just as Ed was about to sit down and think he suddenly heard his phone and pulled it out. He inspected the name and saw that it was Twilight. He sighed and rubbed his face before answering the call putting the phone up to his ear.

"Yes?"

"[Ed where are you!?]" Twilight asked hearing the concern in her voice.

"Um near a bar called... The Side" Ed replied back as he looked at the sign of the building.

"[Look come back alright, we need to talk]" Twilight asked as Ed took out his pocket watch and looked at the time.

"Sure I'll be back in about... 20 minutes" Ed said as he looked at his watch and saw that it was 4 o'clock.

"[Make it 15, the event starts in 20]" Twilight said as Ed heard the mare hang up.

Ed just blinked before looking at his phone and scrolling through the contacts.

"Guess there's no other way" Ed told himself as he began calling Celestia.

Within a short few rings he heard the other side pick up and spoke up.

"Celestia are your guards ready?" Ed asked quickly as he looked at his pocket watch and read the time.

"[Yes but what is the meaning of this!?]" Celestia asked wanting questions.

"Can you track this call to my location yes or no" Ed said ignoring the question.

"[Wha- Yes but why!?]" Celestia asked as she wanted to know what was going on.

"Good because if you don't get here in 10 minutes then were gonna have a another problem because not one of these assholes is gonna leave this building alive"

"[Wait what!?]" Celestia quickly responded as Ed put his phone on mute and took a step off the building.

Inside

"Man the boss isn't that happy right now ain't he"

"Well that's to be expected with the girl missing and this short brat running around protecting her"

"Yeah... at least were safe here"

Suddenly the double doors to the entrance smashed open as one stallion came falling through it. Everyone in the bar turned to the door wondering what was going on. As they trained their eyes at the broken door and the stallion groaning on the ground, through it came a red hooded figure with a phone in his hands. Nobody spoke as he entered and made his way to the counter, as he neared it he put the phone to his ear and spoke semi-loud so that everyone could hear him.

"By the time I pick up the phone again you better be close" The hooded figure said as he used his thumb to mute the phone as he set it on the counter.

With that done he turned around and let out a smile under the hood, he put his hands together making a small clap as he began to speak.

"Alright which one of you are Bald?" He asked as the room was still silent.

Suddenly one of the stallions stood up and the red figure looked to him quickly recognizing him out of all the suits in there due to his bruises on the face.

"Hey he's the little girl that's been protecting the filly"

Author's Note

First off I'm really trying to decide if I want to do a fight scene in the next chapter or just do the interrogation with Bald, I'm kinda aiming towards both right now I'm still working on the stuff for the next book and with how it's looking I should be ready to finish up this one in a while.

I'm sorry I haven't been updating as much and I know this is a sorry excuse for a chapter but I hope soon I can make it up for you guys.
