"So you are the one she wants... Well can't say she picked right but we'll just have to see about your ability's won't we my little human"

Wind, it's what Ed felt as he awoke, he didn't understand it at first but from the looks of it he was still in his dreams as he saw the white abyss everywhere around him. Yet he was falling for some odd reason at a high speed as he saw his braid flapping against the wind upwards telling him he was falling with his back towards the ground. With a spin his body was now upright as he descended the abyss ready to land on his feet. As he looked down he noticed that his shirt and shoes were still off along with his socks as he was only in his pants from last night.

"Are you ready, Edward Elric"

Ed's eyes widened as he heard the voice behind him. He flipped around in the air to see who the voice belonged too but was only greeted by a fist. The fist hit hard against his face sending him flying horizontally as he fell.

"Gah! What the hell was-" Ed stopped groaning as he saw the sky change above him. It was like watching a painting being drawn from top to bottom as the abyss became a world, a dark night to be exact. He saw the moon and the stars as he kept on falling but noticed that the stars were getting smaller and multiplying .

"I'm still falling, Right?" Ed thought to himself as he quickly realized what was about to happen.

With a turn in the air he was facing down as he saw a building still being drawn into the world. He was approaching it fast and was about to hit it as he was aimed at the one of the windows. He braced himself bringing up his arms and closing his eyes. The glass broke as he made contact feeling the little pieces shatter against his body. But that didn't stop his descent as he slightly opened one eye and saw a chandelier in his way next. He instantly grabbed it only getting his fingertips onto it swinging the whole chandelier forward almost hitting the ceiling but slowly rocking back sending Ed falling as his grip on the ceiling accessory wasn't that great given the speed he came in at. He fell to the floor trying to grasp whatever he could but no luck as he hit the ground on his back. He groaned slowly trying to get the air back into his lungs but only felt something land on his stomach as he did. He looked and saw a little piece of glass that wasn't from the window.

"What the?" There was a sudden creak as Ed looked up and saw another piece of glass just the like the one on his stomach fall next to him and shatter. He covered his face as the glass scattered then resumed looking up only to find more pieces of glass falling down from the chandelier followed by a creaking noise which made Ed more worried as he slowly got up still in pain from the rather long fall. As he got to his feet he started walking away as he heard the creaking get louder. He suddenly heard a snap causing Ed to react as he jumped forward using whatever strength he had, barely escaping what was awaiting him as he felt glass hit his back as he fell to the floor tired followed by a large crash which he knew was the chandelier saying adios to the world as it hit the floor.

Ed laid there motionless for seconds as he got back his breath and strength after the whole scene he just had with death, he slowly started feeling better as he took in a good minute to actually relax while nothing tried to kill him. Though that was short lived as he suddenly felt a presence staring at him. He lazily got to his knees as he looked up to the window were he had crashed through and saw a black mare with unique looking blue armor hovering through it. He couldn't quite place it but she seemed familiar. His field of view caught two flags near the window which he immediately recognized. The Sun and the Moon. Both were above thrones which he thought belonged to Celestia and Luna, but something about this place caught him as off. Ed slowed down time with his eyes as he looked past the mare also taking in that she was also a Alicorn as well. He noticed the tress outside and how dark and grim they sort of seemed.

"The two sisters live in a huge castle in Canterlot, but there was no trees like these surrounding it when I was there and it wasn't so little like what I saw from the outside"

Ed gave the mare one last look before smiling inside. He let time resume as he got to his feet less lazily this time watching as the dark mare touch the ground elegantly.

She stood still as she looked at Ed, she seemed satisfied for some reason as she looked up and down his body. She finally spoke as she straightened her back.

"I am-"

"Nightmare Moon" Ed said cutting her off making her blink.

She looked confused for a second before getting her composure back as she spoke. "Yes and I-"

"Have brought me into the dream realm which were we are currently in. and in the place of your creation being the Castle of Two Sisters"

Nightmare Moon just had her mouth slightly open as she couldn't find what she was going to say next. She watched as Ed clapped his hand and touched the ground making the once broken chandelier into a table with chairs added to it. He casually pulled one out and looked to the mare causing her to blink again before realizing he was holding it for her. She made her way to the table taking the seat as he smiled and took his. He sat down getting comfortable before speaking.

"Now you were going to say why you have brought me here?" Ed said the mare suddenly remembered why she was here and stood up slamming her hand to the table.

"Yes! We are here to test your strength in combat!" She said aloud as she readied her magic.

"No"

Nightmare Moon blinked again for what seemed the millionth time that dream as her magic slowly died down. "Huh?"

Ed just sat with his legs crossed as he gave her a unamused look. "I said no" He simply said as she gritted her teeth in anger.

In a blur the table was now gone as Ed heard a crash nearby, calmly seating there watching as the mare now held a hand in front of his face.

"I could kill you in your dreams right now and you wouldn't be able to wake up till death came, so tell me what is it that... you..."

She could barely see his face with her hand in front of it but as she noticed one of his eyes she saw nothing in them. She slowly lowered her arm looking at his face fully. She didn't understand, he looked like he didn't care about death at all. His face was deadpanned like he had encountered death many times before to the point it was a regular thing with him. She stepped backwards slowly sitting in her chair as she looked at him.

"What's wrong with this..."

"Your a human if I understand correctly" She asked him now using her regular voice.

"Yep" He said as he now sat with a casual look on his face.

"What happened in your life, to the point that you wouldn't... well..."

"Fear of Death?" Ed said knowing what she wanted to ask.

"...Yes" She asked wondering what his trick was or if he had done something in his life to make himself unafraid of death.

"My life happened, each and every second of it" He said as he knew she wasn't gonna understand but only smiled as the truth of his answer.

She just sat there looking down for a second trying to figure out what he meant before she heard him chuckle. She looked up and saw him smiling at her.

"What!?" She asked feeling a blush come on.

His smile widened even more. "You and Luna are still connected I presume"

She nodded. "Yes, even though the elements purified my control over Luna, I remained in her mind were I was originally created"

"So you still talk to her time to time right?" Ed asked fishing for answers as he wondered if his theory was correct.

"Well yes we still talk, not on good terms sometimes but were still one and the same" She said unaware of Ed's intent.

"One and the same huh... so basically whatever she thinks or feels you get too right?" Ed asked with a devious smile behind his face.

"Of course, when I meant one and the same, I mean were still the same mare, just different personalities and views"

"Hmm... well how do you view me then my Princess of the Night" He said with a soft smile.

Nightmare Moon must have created a new shade of blush as her eyes widened and her mouth slightly ajar as she stared at Ed not knowing how to answer that question. When she was created she had only one purpose in life, to rule the night, never had it occurred to her once what it would be like to talk to another male. She just froze up as she looked at his naked chest with little cuts here and there from the window and chandelier. She wanted to test his abilities since Luna would probably be having him around for a while but it never once came to her mind that she would be having him around a while too. She quickly stood up and looked down as she spoke to him.

"Haveagreatmorningandgoodday" She said as she suddenly disappeared from the dream in a dark blue puff of smoke.

Ed just blinked as he hit dead on and smirked. "Well looks like life here just got interesting"

Talking a shot in the dark with this Nightmare Moon stuff, She may not exist in any of the show except for like a few episodes but I wanted to include her just for more drama and cool business.
