Ed couldn't sleep.

It was 11 after at night as he laid on his couch, he didn't move or blink, just laid there in the darkness thinking about what he had done. It had been a week since the encounter with the sisters and he was feeling none the better about what he did. Though Lily, the traitor assassin explained the situation to Daisy, the one he had attacked, it still didn't make what he did right, it wasn't... human. Even after Daisy had accepted his apology, he could still see the fear in her eyes as he walked in to the room the day after to check up on her. The traitor sister stayed with her younger sister as the days went by and soon enough he stopped visiting, only talking to Lily about her younger sisters condition every now and then when she returned to his apartment and slept on his couch with him. He had learned recently that she would be released tomorrow and was happy for that at least but still gloomy that he had put her in the hospital in the first place. He would have to thank Lyra for showing up on a whim and getting the assassin a private room in the hospital on such short notice. But now that he thought about it she never really asked who the mare was. He looked back on the encounter with the bloody mare in his hands and her face as she saw them. She wasn't shocked or confused at the least, maybe it’s all part of the Brotherhood not to ask questions and such. Either way he would talk to Lyra later if she knew anything about these assassins and who they are.

As he sat up slowly taking a breath in as he looked around the room, he saw that the TV was replaced but didn't know when, his stuff hadn't moved since the snowboarding day and was exactly where it was supposed to be. The only thing that was new in the room was the mare sleeping beside him. He looked to the traitor assassin and sighed at her appearance. Lily was sleeping upright with her back against the couch and her arms crossed. She still had the same clothes on from when he met them but Ed had gotten the red stain out of the white coat after she got that cut on her side stitched. Her head was tilting downwards as she looked calm and asleep, he doubted she was. Ever since that day they met she hadn't showered and rarely ate. She was beginning to smell but Ed didn't complain. He knew her situation well, being hunted and not knowing when someone might strike can but you on edge 24/7. Though his situation was a tad different he knew what she was going through still.

He looked down to his hand bringing it up as he looked. He had nurse Red Heart but a bandage on it after she came out and found his hand bleeding out dripping on the floor. She became rather angry at this but not because of the floor but because, he should have told her, he remembered the nurse saying as they sat across from each other in one of the hospital rooms alone. He had said it didn't hurt and he was right, it didn't. Ever since he could remember he never felt any feeling in his right arm. Why this was he didn't know. Either way nurse Red Heart saw this as she applied pressure into his wound as Ed was lost in his own thoughts about the sisters and immediately knew why he didn't complain at all. She talked to him about this wanting to know more and if there was anything she could do to help him. He just shrugged it off and smiled at her as he remembered exactly what he said.

"You help her and you'll be helping me sleep at night"

It wasn't though. He hadn't slept since he put her in that hospital and remained awake at home just lying on his couch doing nothing. Lily had seen this and asked if he was doing alright. He responded with a "Yeah" or "Sure" but she knew he was bullshitting her. She didn't say no more as they just sat there at night before eventually she fell asleep leaving Ed to his thoughts. Then she would wake up and do the same thing again as she did the morning before. Get up, go see her sister, then come home, then sleep. And so and so forth. Basically they were in the same boat. Not getting any sleep and worrying over a mare, and the league of assassins as Lily had called them, coming to get them. Though maybe more for Lily as she was the traitor but then again he did attack one of their members so maybe they were both in equal shit.

He just rubbed his face as he let his thoughts roam and wonder. He should probably tell Celestia about these assassin's. Though maybe he should talk to one of his friends first and see if they know anything, he hadn't talked to any of them in a week or so, maybe it was time for him to see what everypony was doing. He hadn't planned to avoid them but didn't feel up to the task of talking to them in his current mood at the time. Though now seemed like a bad idea as it was already late and everypony would be sleeping. Though he wondered.

He slowly got up from the couch stretching as he did. He looked to the work desk and spotted his phone from across the room next to his pocket watch. As he began to move around the couch he felt something grab his hand. He stopped and looked in the somewhat dark room and saw that Lily was holding his hand as she half stood up from the couch just barely sitting on it still. Ed was going to ask what she wanted but stopped all thoughts as he looked at her. Her eyes were still but open as they trained on him. Her breath slow and silent as she if she was waiting for something happen. But as he looked at her she didn't have the fear her sister had, she was scared. Who would have thought that a trained assassin who killed for a living was actually looking for comfort and protection from a little guy like him.

"Come on, you smell" He said calmly and caring as he gave a soft smile and tugged on her hand a little ushering her up. Now standing he pulled her with him as he led her to the door of the room slowly. Nearing it he opened just one door and pulled it open letting her go in first. As she passed him she had to let his hand go in order to pass him but quickly grabbed onto it again as soon as he closed the door.

"Like a little kid" Ed thought to himself as he held her hand firmly, smiling inside.

He led her up the stairs arriving to the main lobby of the apartment, it was dark and empty as Ed used his free hand to flip one of the switches turning the lights on. The room lit up as Ed scanned the area quickly with his eyes taking in every detail in with a second. Happy that everything seemed fine he started to move again, still holding the mares hand as he did. Soon enough they were at the bathroom as Ed opened the door and let the mare in. He let go of her hand as he shut the door behind him and looked the mare. She just looked at him confused as she was probably wondering why he was in here with him before he said it.

"Strip" He said strictly as he held out his hand wanting her clothes.

One Rough Fight Later

Lily's face was red on her pink fur as she started to stutter something out.

"Y-y-y-you don't have to... bathe me..." Lily trailed off as she suddenly felt very hot.

Ed just sighed. "Well you need to take a bath and your clothes need to be washed, in order to do one and the other you need to take off your wear and I don't want you rushing your bath so that's why I'm here helping you relax while your clothes wash" Ed said wondering if he should call the getup she had on clothes, or armor.

"OH!" She said as if that wasn't on the plan she had envisioned.

Ed just smirked. "You act like I had some kind of dirty intention behind this"

Lily just about went up in flames with the amount of heat that was in her cheeks. She was never good at talking with other ponies, especially boys for that matter. There was never time for conversation as she trained every day to be the best assassin and maintain her top class. Though now that she was actually talking to a boy and naked in front of them she felt nervous and giddy.

"I-I didn't think anything dirty I swear!" She exclaimed as she whipped her head around to the human only to see a soft grin on his face.

Lily sat in the new large bathtub as she leaned her head off the side of it letting Ed wash her hair. Ed just sat on a little stool as he softly scrubbed the mare’s scalp, that was till she turned around giving him a good look at her breast. They were well shaped and perky as Ed had saw before she got in the bathtub and just seeing them again was causing his lust to stir just a tad bit with her being wet and her nipples being noticeably hard. He just grinned on as he found himself slowly thinking dirty thoughts about the mare in front of him before mentally slapping himself and clearing his throat.

"Ahem, I'm not saying you did think anything dirty, but if you feel uncomfortable bathing like this then I'll leave then" Ed said only saying it on his part because the thought of jumping in the bathtub and having a little fun didn't sit well with his mind but somewhere else it did.

Ed stood up quickly, turning to the door not before feeling the mares hand again grasp his. He stopped and in the back of his mind.

"Ed you haven't had alone time in a long time buddy, if you turn around and look at this mare then there is no going back to what might happen"

Ed gulped as he could hear his own breath as he slowly turned around looked back at the mare.

"I may be a little uncomfortable, but.... if you joined me in the bathtub maybe I wouldn't be"

The sirens were now blaring as Ed felt his lust rise up inside him making him very hungry for the mare in the bathtub. Ed knew better as he tried to pull away but only felt the mare pull him back and with much force as he found himself off balance and slowly falling backwards into the tub.

With a splash he felt the warm water wrap around his body as he landed in the bathtub. He quickly tried to get back up as he lifted his head from the water getting some air but only stopped as a pair of arms grabbed him and pulled him. All motion stopped as he felt himself laying against the mare behind him with his head on her lap, ears barely out of the water as he felt the warm water against his neck. He felt her hands around his chin as she slowly brought his head up giving him a good look at her breast again as he saw just how good they looked. His mind went blank as he felt his cheeks heating up but quickly faded his arousal as he felt something cold fall on his face. He blinked as strayed from her breast and looked at her face seeing what landed on his face. Tears. She was crying.

"I'm scared" She said suddenly making Ed's face go from confused to surprised as he watched the train killer cry above him as the tears landed on his face.

"Everything I believed in growing up is worthless, my friends are trying to kill me because I chose to protect a little girl instead of killing her , and my own sister turned her back on me when I needed her most" She sobbed out as she held Ed's face even closer bringing her head down as she did.

"What do I do..." She trailed off as she cried closing her eyes as she had no plan, no one to rely on, and nothing to go back to.

She cried and cried there just letting it all out as she didn't notice the human move from her hands. Suddenly she felt something pull her as she opened her eyes to see what happened. She looked and saw the human’s hair as she rested her head onto his shoulder as she felt his arms wrap around him.

"I'll protect you so just let it all out... okay"

The mare just sniffed before returning the humans embrace wrapping her arms around him as she cried over her shoulder. She was shedding tears as Ed could feel the mare’s arms holding him tightly as she had no intention of letting him go, and him to her as he ran a hand through her soapy hair.

"Let it all out" He whispered in her ear as he eyed the door and gave a small *snap* locking it to make sure no one came in.

He stared at the door as he brought up his sense and gave a fierce look.

"I'll protect you no matter the cost"

Author's Note

THE STORY WILL BE CHANGED FROM TEEN TO MATURE AFTER THE NEXT CHAPTER OR SO.

I feel as though I'm being held back by this teen rating and am changing it to Mature in order to get my dam romance scenes out.
(aka sexy time)

It's not like he's gonna start having sex with everypony but I can be more descriptive with more scenes and such and include more fun if I have it on Mature.
