Ed stood at the top of the tracks smiling as he looked at the sunset going down. The sky an orange red as the rest was blue above it and so on and so forth behind him as he stared toward the sunset. His life was good right now as his thoughts went to today's activities. He had taught everypony to ski or snowboard which made him happy as he shared a sport from his world in this one. The CMC plus their new addition Diamond Tiara were an exception as he just gave them snow sleds to race down in which made them very happy as he watched them go down the slopes over and over again. He looked down the slope chuckling as he remembered Twilight trying to figure out how to start down the slope as if it was an equation or something. Everyone was a natural and those who got really good at snowboarding or skiing took it another step forward as they went on to the advanced tracks taking little jumps at first before grinding an then eventually doing flips in the air. The only ones who actually did go through the advanced slope were Spitfire and Rainbow Dash along with Octavia and Vinyl. They had a knack of trying to see who was better and ended up doing some insane tricks that Ed could mirror but didn't because then it would just escalate then somepony would get hurt. Either way everypony had a good time. Luna and Derpy stayed together while going down the track. Cheerilee stayed with Berry Punch, probably because she didn't want the alcoholic mare crashing and possibly getting hurt. Spike went ahead and played with the CMC before passing out and taking a nap on his sled. Pinkie Pie and Applejack kept on throwing snowballs at each other as they raced down the regular slope. Twilight just skied slowly taking notes as she did with a paper and pen. The thing that made Ed grin the most was how Trixie stayed with Fluttershy as she was a slow learner and kept pushing her to do more. Though Fluttershy was still very shy she opened up to the show mare and let her help her as by the end of the day she was skiing like a pro. Rarity on the other hand was a whole another thing, she was going slowly down the track it was like she was frozen in time or something. But after getting hit in the crossfire between Applejack and Pinkie's race she then joined in on the race and eventually won as she beat them in every single race down the slope.

As for Ed he just sat there watching everpony having fun making sure that nopony got hurt. He did that till it became late and suggested that everypony return home before it got too cold and to keep the snowboards and ski's till next time. Everypony agreed as they went off to their homes and down the mountain they were on. They had left 30 minutes ago and were probably already in Ponyville by now as Ed stayed behind and watched the sun set over the horizon, or mountain from his point of view. Either way he felt good, he didn't think about Discord, or that little kid from his dreams, or the fact that he affected the timeline in this world. He just stood there and smiled as he watched the sun go slowly down, and down, and down. Till finally, it was gone. The orange red slowly exited the sky and dark blue started to take over as Luna would be raising the moon, or was she already Ed thought as he just waved it off and took a deep breath. He let the fresh air go into his lungs as he closed his eyes and held it, he exhaled slowly feeling peace with himself as he did. He reopened his eyes and nodded as he was now ready to head home. He turned around and looked to the tree were his snowboard and helmet was leaning against before walking towards it. He took about a good ten steps before hearing the sound. He stopped as he heard it. His ears registered the sound in front of him as he became alert to whatever made the noise. He slowly walked towards the tree looking past his snowboard and helmet laying against it seeing nothing but more trees and snow everywhere. He wondered what the sound was as he saw the darkness start to fade into the little forest before him telling him that was night was now here.

He was about to shrug off the noise but not before taking a good look around. He began to walk past the tree in front of him before noticing it. Blood. It was on the other side of the tree and there was a lot of it. After closer inspection he saw it was a hand print in blood. It was smeared too like somebody had fell down and wiped there hand down the tree as they did. He followed the trail before seeing something on the ground before him. A hand. It was motionless causing Ed worry as he went to grab it.

"Hey! Are you-" The hand suddenly snapped taking Ed's hand and pulling him towards the snowy ground. Ed didn't expect this as he was pulled to the ground were his instincts kicked up. It screamed at him as he brought his right hand up trying to stop his fall but not before feeling a tingly sensation. Ed's fall stopped as he felt something holding his right hand. He didn't see what it was as a face suddenly emerged from the snowy ground snarling at him as it did. Ed was pushed back as the face suddenly clashed with his feeling their hot air on his face as they huffed rapidly. Ed got a good look at the face registering it as a mare as she had golden eyes and raspberry fur along with a golden mane. He could see the determination in her eyes as he loomed over her still unsure what he was pushing against as he didn't feel the ground with his right hand. The mare was breathing heavy as he could see the sweat go down on her face. Her eyes fluttered for a moment before she closed them and reopened them. Her determination was gone as she now looked shocked. He felt her let go of his left hand but not his right. He brought himself slightly up before seeing it. She wasn't holding his other hand, she was stabbing it. A blade was piercing through his right hand as it came out of some mechanism attached under her sleeve. The blade quickly reeled back in disappearing from Ed's hand and into whatever tool she had.

Ed just stood back up taking a step back before realizing what just happened. She almost just killed him. The blade was meant for his upper body not his hand. He had just saved himself from death yet again as he became annoyed.

"And I was having such a nice day too" Ed grumbled as he looked from his bloody hand to the mare. He saw that she had on a white coat as she tried to get up, it was some sort of armor but packed into a light weight coat as Ed saw its unique design. Now standing he saw that she had white pants too and with a sword to her side as well that looked pretty fancy as he saw it wrapped up in a white tape.

"I'm sorry..."

Ed looked at the mare as she leaned against the tree. She was holding her hand to her side were red could be seen covering all the white on one side of her coat. Though Ed had just been stabbed in the hand he took more notice over to the mare’s wounds as he moved to her.

"Forget about me we got to get you-"

*Clunk*

Ed stopped mid-sentence as he looked to the side of the mares head. There was a blade lodged into the tree which she leaned on right next to her head. Which meant it flew right past his face as he was standing right in front of her like a meat shield. Looking at the arrow he knew that the projection in which the arrow was shot would mean that whoever shot it was right behind him. He slowly turned his body making sure that the mare was still covered by his as he could still hear her huffing.

Only three ponies stood there wearing mask as they had swords to their sides not drawn yet but a hand on its handle in case they need it be. Each of them were wearing a different color. One red, one blue, and one white. But all the same sort of design the mare had on behind him.

The blue one in the middle spoke. "Move away from the mare and leave, your presence is delaying this mare's death"

"Death? What are you gonna do, kill her?" Ed asked as he suddenly became very annoyed at this blue pony's choice of words.

"Of course" The red one spoke. "I don't expect you to understand why but please run along now" Red said as Ed saw the pony wave their hand off motioning him to get.

"And if I don't?" Ed asked becoming even more annoyed but not showing it as he held his temper.

"Then there will be consequences, little one" The white one said as Ed just chuckled.

"Traitor? What did she do to become a traitor?" Ed asked as he ignored the comment.

"It's not what she did, it's what she didn't do" The white one said making Ed blink.

"I don't understand" Ed said still confused.

"Their assassin's"

Ed heard the mare behind him speak, he slightly turned seeing her still standing barely against the tree.

"I was once one of them till not 2 days ago, until when we were assigned a task" She started before stopping her story then sighing.

"It doesn't matter now, either way they'll kill you so just leave me, I don't want you dying because of me so go" She said as Ed could hear the sword being drawn from the sound the blade makes when it's drawn.

"A very noble action of you" Ed turned around and looked to the three ponies seeing the red one speak.

"Too bad it will be your last" Red said as they drew their swords along with White and Blue.

"Now move boy before you are cut down as well!" Red said as Ed just blinked.

Behind him stood an assassin that just stabbed him in the hand, of course it didn't hurt but he could worry about it later. In front of him were three assassins about to cut him down unless he left and ditched the women. Why was she a traitor? Did she do something bad? Or was it a rule she broke? Either way...

"What did she do?" Ed said as he stood still.

They all just froze, a pile of snow could be heard falling from the tree somewhere as the mare behind him spoke.

"What I didn't do... was kill a bunch of kids not even old enough to talk"

Ed's eyes widened as he just whipped his head around looking at the mares eyes, she just stared back at him.

"Did they..." He asked silently while the three assassins just stood there silently with their swords.

"Ask them yourself" She said as Ed just turned his head and looked at the three.

"Did you kill... little... kids" Ed asked slowly feeling himself tremble as he said it.

There was a long silence as the night had just begun and the moonlight lit the forest. All was quiet before one spoke.

"Yes"

"I'm going to say this once, run..."

The assassins looked at the human whose face was blank. They all looked at each other before looking back to the human.

"Like were gonna ru-"

"Do you want to die!" Ed snapped as the assassins flinched for some reason.

"Like your gonna do anything!" The white one spat back causing Ed to shake his head.

"I'm sorry I don't think you heard me correctly, so let me repeat it one more time"

Ed slowly raised his right hand as he pointed it towards the three assassins. He looked to the one who called him short and just stared at them before an evil smile washed over his face.

*Snap* The white pony was suddenly lifted into the air as they had no control of their body.

"What the!? What are you-"

*Snap*

The pony suddenly shot to the ground hitting it hard from the sudden momentum, unable to stop herself. Their mask fell of and it was a mare as she was slowly lifted into the air again as the two other assassins didn't know what was going on.

*Snap*

The mare hit the ground again like somebody was throwing her like a ball to the wall. Hitting the wall then bouncing off. In this case the mare just hit the ground, bouncing off slightly like gravity wasn't even there. She was in the air again as she felt pain all over her body, she looked to the human only to receive a small "heh".

The snowy forest was silent, the moon was up now as the moonlight made everything more clear. Suspended in the air was a mare, beaten like some rag doll and bleeding all over the place. She silently wept as she shivered in fear from the human. The assassins looked in horror as the mare was beaten to a pulp like some ping pong ball bouncing rapidly off the paddle. Suddenly the mare dropped from the air as the two assassins saw this and caught her hoping that she wouldn't go back up again. She didn't as she sobbed and sobbed and didn't move from her position on the ground. The two assassins didn't hear the human come up to them but only heard his cold voice as he spoke.

"Run"

Suddenly the two assassins were gone, they disappeared so fast it made Ed chuckle more. They left their friend behind as Ed looked down to the mare and saw her whimpering as she stared at Ed. Ed just grinned at her causing her to freeze, Ed didn't know what she was doing but smelt it as he looked down and saw that the snow under the mare was turning yellow. He just snickered.

"Maybe next time you'll listen stupid piece of shit" Ed said as turned around looked for the traitor assassin. Ed blinked as he looked at her. She was standing with her legs shaking as she held her sword towards him. It wasn't those two things that concerned him. It was her expression. Her eyes. He looked at her and saw the fear in her face plain as can be. Ed didn't know why but then it clicked. He still had the same evil smile on his face since he had started with and immediately dropped it as he looked back to the mare on the ground.

She was bleeding because of him, she was shivering because of him, she was about to die because of him. She wasn't even moving at as she laid their crying her eyes out from the pain.

"What have I done..." Ed trailed off as he looked at his hand and saw that it was still ready to snap with the blood all over it and a hole right through the middle of it.

Ed looked back to the other assassin who just looked at him with fear and confusion as she still clutched her side.

"What have I done..." He repeated as he looked down to the broken mare and began crouch down.

"Stay back!"

Suddenly there was a blade by his neck, he didn't even need to look to know it was the traitor assassin. He looked down to the mare and saw her once more before feeling a sudden pit his stomach. He had gone too far, he didn't know anything about this mare he just saved, and the mare he just beat. For all he knew this was some test by Celestia or just some random event that he got caught in. Either way... he had to do the right thing.

"Do you know this mare?" He asked out loud as he saw the blade shake for a second before coming still again by his neck.

"She was once my sister, but when I betrayed the order she couldn't choose me over the order itself and ended up being on the search team sent to kill me"

"Did she kill children?" Ed asked calmly.

"No... though she didn't do anything to stop those that did" The assassin said as she kept the blade by his neck never wavering.

"I see..."

Ed had screwed up, he had thought that the mare... no it didn't matter what he thought at this point, what he did was unacceptable. Yet another mistake he would have to live with for the rest of his life.

"What I did now I did out of blind rage, even if I knew she was your sister she would have been dealt with the same way I had did it, I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to ask you to trust me" Ed said as he felt the blade come closer to his neck.

"Though I am grateful for my life... my sister dying before me is an even worse fate I did not ask for" The assassin said as she stuck the blade even closer to his neck.

"But..." The blade was removed as Ed stood up now facing the outcast.

"If you can save my sister, I will trust you" With that the mare slid her sword back into her fancy sheath and crossed her arms staring at Ed.

Ed just nodded as he looked over the mare he beat and sighed.

"Good... because my old friend over here was deciding whether or not too finish her off" Ed said as he looked above the mare and saw him once again.

A scythe, the handle pure black and the blade long as an arm. The black trench coat that covered the bones and its head. Ed looked at his old friend from his world and stared at him as he stood across from him over the mare’s body.

"Still following me around... aren't you Death"

"Today you take a life, instead of watching one leave you"

Ed just scoffed as he dug into his pocket and reached for his phone. He quickly opened it and went to his contacts scrolling down to Lyra in a heartbeat.

"This life isn't ready yet, you and I both know that old friend" Ed said as he watched the grim reaper cackle and his bones clatter as he did.

"Maybe so but remember... all life, must come to and end" Death said as he cackled some more and faded out from the world.

Ed stood there silently before the assassin spoke up. "Who were you talking to?"

Ed just gave a soft smile before reaching for his pocket watch and hitting dial on the phone.

"Somebody who just told me your sister is gonna be alright"

So I'm changing the T to M on the story, one because their's bound to be death and even more sexy scenes, two, because I can.
