"And for Trixie's next trick..." said Trixie confidently as she pulled her hat off from her head using her horn, reached inside and pulled out a bunny rabbit. A classic trick, but it still continues to entertain. All ponies in the crowd began to cheer and clap.Trixie smirked and put the rabbit back in her hat. She prepared herself for her next trick, but she was cut off by a group of ponies in the crowd. All 5 of the mares looked familiar to Trixie, but she could not put her hoof on why. The group of mares began to call her a boaster and challenged her to besting their talents, which she easily did.

As the 5 mares walked back into the crowd, humiliated and defeated, another mare caught Trixie's eye. A shy looking, purple unicorn, who was accompanied by a purple and green baby dragon, who was trying to convince the unicorn to challenge her as well. The purple mare refused to go on stage and ran off. Trixie laughed evilly and announced that the magic show was over. By that time, the Sun had already set and everypony walked home entertained from the show. Trixie felt proud of herself as she returned to her wagon to rest.

As she got ready for bed, she heard the sound of two fillies screaming in horror, followed by loud rumbling. Curious, and slightly annoyed, Trixie looked out her wagon window to find Snips and Snails, two of the most senseless fillies in Ponyville, running up to her wagon and knocking on her door. Trixie opened the door to tell the two fillies to be quiet. But then, a extremely large bear bursted through the trees. It's thunderous roar made the ground shake. Trixie's heart skipped a beat at the mere sight of the enormous bear, commonly called an Ursa Minor. She, along with Snips and Snail, fled, only to be followed close behind by the Ursa Minor. However, Trixie also remembered her claims of capturing and banishing a bear of the same species.

In an attempt to expose herself as a truly incredible unicorn, and to silence all ponies who criticized her magic skills, she swung herself around and tried to catch the beast with rope, only to find that the length was too short and was only able to wrap two of the Ursa Minor's claws. The Ursa Minor made short work of the rope, snapping it in two. Snips and Snails, not impressed by that performance, cheers on Trixie as she tries one more thing. With her magic, she formed a storm cloud that would electrocute and paralyze the Ursa. But, she was too tired to create a giant one and the cloud was barely the size of them. And it did not injure the Ursa in the slightest. When it appeared that it would be the end of her, the purple unicorn jumped out and fended off the Ursa.

As the battle ended, the Ursa was returned to its cave. Everyone cheered for the unicorn. Trixie was humiliated. She disappeared in a puff of smoke to return to her destroyed wagon to see what she could salvage. Unfortunately, Trixie was unable to find anything and was forced to leave Ponyville without anything. Everyone in Ponyville began to laugh and point at the magician as she ran away in shame. But as she fled the town, Trixie caught a glimpse of a filly, no older than 6, clapping. Trixie tried to stop, but was quickly pushed out of town. Knowing she wouldn't be able to get back in, Trixie walked off into the darkened plains of Equestria as the Moon began to rise over the horizon.

As she walked, she began to notice something odd. Every time she would stop moving, she could still hear clopping noises, as if somepony was following her. Every time she turned around, she would see nothing but the darkness and the Moon. Trixie was beginning to be frightened. She tried sprinting, trying to outrun the follower, only to have it catch up. Sick of the joke, Trixie fired a magical beam of energy behind her to frighten off the follower. The beam created a bright illuminating light. Within the light's beam, Trixie saw the same filly who she saw clapping her on back in Ponyville. Knowing that he was caught, the little filly  slowly walked up to Trixie.

"Who are you?" asked Trixie. The filly just played with his hooves in the ground, clearly embarrassed. Trixie was not one for being ignored.

"Who are you? What is your name?" The filly looked up at Trixie, and hugged her legs. Trixie was shaken from that. She levitated the little filly away from her legs.

"The Great and Powerful Trixie demands to know your name!" she yelled. The filly just laughed and jumped around her. Finally, the filly stopped.

"M-my name is... Little Hoof..." Trixie moved on to her next question.

"And what are you doing?" The filly looked down for a second before answering.

"I-I was... Following you... Ms. Trixie..."

"Why?" Little Hoof reached into his saddle bag for something. Trixie prayed it was not another tomato to throw at her. But instead of a red vegetable, Little Hoof pulled out a small magician's hat, just the right size for him. Trixie held the hat as Little Foot went for another object in his saddle bag. He pulled out a small pen.

"C-could you sign this for me, please? I mean, if it's not too much trouble...?" Little Hoof looked up at Trixie with the biggest eyes she have ever seen.

"I... Trixie has never autographed for anyone before..." Little Hoof's eyes grew even more.

"Oh... Ok..." Trixie levitated both the hat and the pen and did her best signature she could on the flap of the hat. When she gave it back to the filly, he jumped around in sheer joy.

"Why did you want Trixie's signature so much?" asked Trixie out of curiosity.

"Because I love your show!" Trixie was put off guard by that statement.

"Did you just say... You like my show?" The filly had a huge smile that stretched from ear to ear.

"Yeah!" Trixie was so happy at that moment. Finally, someone who enjoys her magic show. And still supports even after that incident in Ponyville. Trixie chuckled and knelt down.

"Little Hoof, why don't you go back home? It's getting late." The filly looked down to the ground in with sorrow in his eyes. Trixie wanted to know what was wrong. "I... I don't have a home..."

Trixie knew what had to be done. She put her hoof on the depressed filly's shoulder. The filly looked up to see Trixie, smiling at him.

"Trixie has an offer for you. You stay with Trixie, and you become my assistant. How does that sound?" The filly's eyes lit up like Canterlot on Hearth's Warming Eve. He began jumping up and down, yelling "Yes" over and over again. Trixie couldn't help but giggle.
