Basics around the barrack, filling up the dictionary again!

"Huh? Captain Armor?" Flash replied as Shining Armor entered the resting quarters.

"There you are! What's wrong Flash? You look awful..." Shining Armor said with concern

"Nothing wrong Captain, just a bad dream. Some creature that has different animal parts put together was chasing after me." Flash said.

"Hmm... That sure sounds weird and funny." Shining said

"But sir! It was horrifying"

"Oh really? Sorry about that." Shining chuckled and continued "what if it was actually a dream about the future? Ha! I jest, I jest. But back to the matter at hand, I've got a mission for you complete, its not a serious mission but you'll have to get a briefing downstairs in the main hall." And he left the quarters. Flash jumped out of his bed, stretched a bit, put on his armor and saddlebag and trotted downstairs. As he walked down to the main floor, he saw a couple of soldiers walking by doing heavy work such as lifting supplies to different places, painting the interior and building suspensions and extra rooms. What he didn't notice was a piece of paper on the floor and as Flash stepped on it, he went sliding across the hall much to Shining Armor's shock and bumped onto a unicorn who was in charge of intelligence and was also a lazy pony and always found sleeping. Flash tripped over him and landed head first into a bucket hanging helplessly. Shining looked really embarrassed at that point.

"Alley-Oop!" Flash murmured with the bucket still on his head and did a forward flip landing on his hooves, shook the bucket off his head and shook himself dry, what he didn't notice that something else fell out of Flash Sentry's saddlebags, a book lying on the wet surface and soaked. Shining Armor immediately recognised what that was and immediately galloped to it.

"Oh no! The Royal Canterlot Soldier's code of actions is soaking wet!" He cried in horror. Shining opened the book, the 86 actions (AKA Pony-Chat) and the instructions to perform them have disappeared and only 10 remain. "*Sigh* most of your actions are gone! Bummer, and it was nearly complete!" Shining said in disappointment. "Well, anything bad can happen so you've got to learn from your mistakes and fill up the code again!"

"Sorry sir, I'll be careful next time" Flash hung his head down as he replied "So what is the mission for me?"

"Ah! I need you to find a very important target: Princess Twilight Sparkle, my sister. You should know her."

"Her? Yes sir... How could I not forget her?" Flash said after going through memories on how Twilight occasionally bumps into him on purpose and seeing her blush and smile every time their eyes meet.

"Very well, but first, you have to go through basic training. I know you've been through it many times and that you have kept up to date with it, but as Captain of the Royal Guard, I want to maintain the safety of all my men and know that they can defend themselves and flawlessly perform their duties as a soldier. Besides, your code of actions was wiped out, you may forget the basic important actions! Follow me into the training hall" Shining Armor ordered and led Flash to a door that has a carpet with a song note on it.

The training hall was brightly lit up stadium with a lifted stage in the middle, 'probably used for practice fights' Flash wondered on how this hall works. Shining Armor stopped in front of the stage and Flash stopped next to it.
"First, we start off with the most important action when encountering somepony, a greeting. Try it out, greet me." Shining said

"Captain Armor Sir!" Flash yelled, he stood straight and saluted him with his hoof.

"No no no, there's no need to salute me as a captain for this training, just picture me being a civilian." Shining chuckled.

"Sorry sir... Greetings good sir!" Flash corrected himself

"Not bad, you don't have to be formal, just be casual and say 'Hi' or "Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening'. Now for the next action" Shining said and walked up to two planted pots. Shining stood in front of one and Flash stood in front of the other. "Kick!" Shining kicked the the pot and 10 bits fell out of the plant, "now do that!" Flash kicked the pot and 10 bits fell out as well. "Nice kick!" Shining complimented inspecting Flash's strong and stabilised kick. "You may find some surprises when you kick here, there or anywhere suspicious! But don't even think of kicking other ponies." Shining warned him.

"Next, Inspect using your senses such as your eyes and nose" Shining looked and sniffed at the bits then picked it up with his mouth and put it in his saddlebags. Flash does the same thing and picked up the 10 bits. "That's right, look and smell them to make sure they are safe, then pick it up. Now here is the last action!" Shining ordered and dragged Flash to two bunched up patches of dirt. "When there are weird spots on the ground like this, Dig on this spot with your hooves" Shining dug at one mound with his hooves and unearthed 10 bits. After he put it in his saddlebags, it was Flash's turn. Flash dug at the mound with his hooves and the dirt revealed a test tube like item. "That item is called a Love Meter and it was created by my wife but, I have no idea what to do with it. Anyway, that's it for the basic moves for a solider or pretty much everypony. Any questions?" Shining asked.

"Just one, who would put bits in a plant pot or under some dirt?" Flash asked with a puzzled look on his face

"...No idea, I actually asked Princess Celestia about this but she would change the subject, I mean, there were 5 bits just lying on the floor in some area I patrolled once. You'll probably find bits lying on the ground too. One more thing, this training hall... will not be a training hall any longer, it will become a concert hall when the construction of the barracks makes progress." Shining answered

"Ah, so that explains the the carpet with the song note." Said Flash

Back in the main hall, Shining Armor concluded his Period of Instruction with Flash Sentry:

"These Four actions are the key to getting what you want! There are many more actions but I'm only teaching you the basics. You'll have to learn other actions from other civilians or fellow soldiers. This barrack can only be accessed by a teleporter." Shining pointed to a lone circle that is radiating a lot of white aura and continued. "The teleporter can take you anywhere where other teleporters are. Twilight is in the Rainbow Highlands, so you can only access that area and nowhere else. Only the Royal Canterlot Forces including the Princesses can use these teleporters but soldiers are allowed to bring civilians to the teleporter with them. Not that you have to. Your front guard horseshoes activate any teleporter around Equestria, you just have to dig your hooves on the portal and the portal will activate. Bring your "Sentry Spear" along, your spear is special as it is the only spear imbued with Lightning Magic, you'll needed for one of the actions. Your ranged weapon hasn't been constructed yet but you won't need it for now. I have to see to the construction of the barracks so I have to stay put. Plus, you need to learn your actions again! Good luck soldier."
"Yes Sir!" Flash said and strode to the teleporter. As the teleporter was doing its work transmitting Flash Sentry to Rainbow Plains, Flash pulled out the code and started looking at the other 6 actions that were not wiped out. "Hmm... Look, Climb, Poke, Yes and No and Scratch? I wonder how I can do that?" Flash chuckled as the aura around him intensifies and with a flash of the teleporter, Flash disappeared, heading for Rainbow Plains.

The "Ham-Chat" will only be the definition. I have also changed some of the definitions as well such as Tack-Q (Tackle) becoming kick and Hif-Hif (sniff) becoming inspect. Great to be out of the Tutorial and stay tuned for Flash's mission to find Twilight in the Rainbow plains!
