Chapters Twilight Sparkle's eyes began to open, but then suddenly closed at the bright light shining upon her. She rolled over in her bed and pulled the blanket over her head, by her estimations she still had a few minutes before she had to start her day. "Twilight?" A voice murmured. It was her assistant, Spike, probably trying to get her out of bed, something the purple unicorn was not ready to do for another three hundred and twenty-eight seconds. "Twilight? Can you please get up? Princess Celestia needs you at the castle!" Twilight's eyes widened, but then she grew suspicious, Spike had pulled this kind of thing before.
Using every bit of strength she had, Twilight pulled off the covers and sat up. "This better not be a trick, Spike."
"It's not." The teenaged dragon handed Twilight a letter, which read:
Twilight,
You may not know this, but last night Nightmare Moon returned and possessed Luna again. Celestia had to imprison her again, send Eclipse into hiding, and leave their one-month-old son in the care of a well to-do family. I'm writing you because I think she could really use a friend; it's hard to imprison your sister, lose your brother-in-law, and trust the care of your baby nephew to strangers.
I think she would really appreciate you being here.
Sincerely,
Solaris
Twilight studied the letter, then. "Spike, I'm gonna be in Canterlot for a while, do you mind staying here at the library?"
Spike shook his head.
Twilight smiled. "Thanks." Twilight stood up. "Now, I should probably get ready..."
Later...
After changing into a pink T-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes, grabbing her purse, and train pass, and saying goodbye to Owlicious and Spike, Twilight was now waiting for her train to Canterlot to arrive. Twilight opened her purse and looked for a picture she had of Luna and her family. Eclipse was smiling, with a hand on Luna's shoulder. Luna was lying on the hospital bed, a tired smile on her face, and in her arms was one of the cutest babies Twilight had ever seen, his small hands, the way he was so dependent on his parents.
Suddenly a train's horn brought Twilight back to the present. She quickly stuffed the picture back in her purse and waited for the train to stop and open its doors...
On the train...
After giving the attendant her ticket, Twilight pulled out a book and, after finding her place, began reading. But something began to nag at her. If she looked up she could see a unicorn girl and an Earth pony boy taking to each other, and sometimes giving each other a small embrace (hug, kiss). Some people didn't like it when two different types of ponies dated; they felt it was almost as bad as dating an animal or something.
Twilight on the other hand felt differently, she felt that if a boy liked a girl, and a girl liked the boy, then it shouldn't matter whether or not she has a horn and he doesn't have anything. After watching them for a few minutes more, a passenger pulled an attendant aside and quietly told her how offended she was by the couple's behavior. The woman noticed it and kindly told them to discontinue their public displays of affection. But a couple of pegasi were behind the complaining man and he didn't seem to care!
Twilight sighed at the racist display, and returned to her book, vowing to at least tell the Princess about it.
When Twilight arrived at the castle, it was completely void of any guards, maids, or staff of any kind. She did however see her sister-in-law, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, AKA Princess Cadence, AKA the best babysitter this side of the Stoney Mountains, talking with Solaris, Celestia's husband. Twilight could see why Celestia fell for him: he looked reeeeal nice. But to Twilight there was more to a man than appearance.
Sure as heck didn't hurt though.
Solaris was a white Alicorn with a red mane, wearing a blue button-up long sleeved shirt, tan pants, and black dress shoes.
Cadence meanwhile wore a yellow tank top, pajama pants, and slippers, obviously up from sleeping in a bit.
The two had heard Twilight enter, and Solaris went over to her. "Hello, Twilight, thank you for coming on such short notice."
"It's fine,"
"Hi little sis," Cadence embraced Twilight in a hug, then after a few moments let her go. "I'm glad you made it."
"Yeah, anything for Princess Celestia. So were you in on this?"
"Well...maybe..."
"Well, she did come all the way from the Crystal Empire." Solaris grinned.
"True." Twilight smiled.
"So, how 'bout we have some breakfast, unless you've already had something, Twilight."
"Agh! I knew I forgot something." Twilight giggled.
"Well, looks like we can all eat together." Cadence smiled. "Now I'll just have to get Shining up, we were both up late last night, but I think he'll make an exception for you, Twilight."
"Oh, you don't have to wake him up on my account, I'll probably see him later today."
"But you hardly see him anymore, and besides he needs to get up. Honestly that man would sleep through a hurricane and an earthquake." Cadence and Twilight chuckled.
Solaris had a weak grin on his face and sighed. 'I hope you can help her, Twilight. You maybe our only hope.'
Princess Celestia looked at the clock: 10:24 AM. Only nine hours 'till she had to lower the sun. The Sun monarch was laying in bed, the covers draped over her all the way up to her nose, she didn't want to get up.
For starters, she had to banish her sister to the moon again, send her brother-in-law into hiding, entrust the care of her one-month old nephew in the care of strangers, and to top it all off she had an upset stomach, which was only cured momentarily by soda and orange yogurt.
Life was just peachy-keen.
As Celestia began to think about getting her 11up, there was a knock at the door. "Can I come in, Tia?"
It was Solaris. "Come in." Celestia muttered.
The door opened and her husband entered before closing the door and sitting at the foot of the bed. "How are you feeling?" He asked in a loving tone.
"Lousy." Celestia answered bluntly.
Solaris chuckled at his wife's blunt answer. He then glanced over at the nightstand. "Do you need another soda?"
"The one I have works."
Solaris chuckled again, and then began to rub Celestia's back through the covers. "You're on a roll."
No response.
"Do you know who's here?"
"Matt Diamond?"
"Nope."
"Michael Hay?"
"Does the castle look like it's on fire? Try again."
"No thanks, I have to raise the moon in nine hours and don't have the time for guessing games."
"Well... since your being so persistent. Twilight, Cadence, and Shining are here."
No response.
Solaris grinned sneakily and pulled the covers completely off. Celestia tried to react by grabbing the covers but missed completely. "Ole!" Solaris exclaimed.
Celestia glared at Solaris before trying to grab the comforter. "Give that back before I kill you!" Celestia yelled.
Stunningly she pushed Solaris off the bed and took back her comforter and draped it around her body again. "It'll take more then that Solaris!"
Celestia lay there for a while, feeling very smug. But then she felt something wet touch the back of her neck.
Solaris was kissing the back of her neck.
As sweet as it felt, she still clutched the comforter.
Solaris wasn't done; he then began rubbing her bare arms.
That did it to her. She closed her eyes and began to melt into the affection, and soon the light neck pecking grew into a deep kiss on each other's lips.
Soon, Solaris ended the kiss and held Celestia close. "Now will you go downstairs?" He asked.
"Well, okay. I'll be down after I take shower."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
Solaris grinned. "Ok, beautiful." Solaris kissed the base of Celestia's horn and left.
Celestia sat up and held the comforter, a large smile on her face. "Thanks, Sol."
Later...
Celestia, now wearing a yellow shirt, jeans, and heels, entered the breakfast room (What?) and saw her husband Solaris, prize student Twilight, niece Cadence, and her (Cadence's) husband Shining Armor, eating breakfast and chatting at the table. Celestia put on a small smile and made her way to her place at the head of the table next to Solaris. Celestia sat down but tried to remain relatively close to Solaris. "Good morning Aunt Celestia!" Cadence smiled.
"Good morning, Cadence." Celestia returned the smile. "It's good to see you again and Shining again."
Celestia glanced over at Twilight, she looked like she felt left out. "It's good to see you too, Twilight."
Twilight gave a small wave and smiled slightly, but still looked a bit down.
Solaris leaned in and whispered. "I brought her over here to help you- you know..."
Celestia leaned in and whispered. "Thanks."
Solaris looked at Cadence and Shining. "Um, could you two come with me?"
The couple nodded and they followed the Alicorn out.
Twilight took a small bite of a pear she was levitating with her magic while Celestia was looking down at the waffles on her plate. She wasn't real hungry so she pushed them aside and asked. "So Twilight...how has your week been?"
"Good." Twilight replied. "How has yours been?" Twilight's eyes widened. "Oh! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked it just-"
"It's fine, Twilight. So, I've heard there have been a number of weddings and engagements in Ponyville."
"Yes. Let's see... Well Soarin' proposed to Bon Bon, who said yes, they're wedding is on the first of October. Which was great because everyone thought Bon Bon liked Lyra Heartstrings."
A queer look came over Celestia's face. "Pardon me Twilight, but isn't Lyra a woman, too?"
"Yeah, that's why it was a great thing. See everyone thought Lyra and Bon Bon were, um, homosexuals, when they really weren't."
"Wait, they thought-" Celestia was too stunned to finish. That was the weirdest thing she had hear in her entire life.
The two talked for a few hours, slowly Celestia began to cheer up, she even laughed at one point. Around Two or so Twilight said she had to leave, not knowing what trouble her assistant Spike might be getting into, so, after hugging squeezing Shining Armor and Cadence and saying good-bye to Solaris, Twilight left.
Later, in Celestia and Solaris' room...
"So, I guess you had a good time?"
"Yes, I did." Celestia said before giving Solaris a peck on the cheek.
Solaris raised an eyebrow. "Hmm...One minute you're kicking me off the bed, the next you're giving me little kisses?"
"Uh-huh!" Celestia replied cheerily (no pun intended) before going into the bathroom with some clothes in her arms.
Celestia slid down onto the floor, blocking the door with her back, and removed the shirt from the pile of clothes, for underneath it was a cell phone. She picked it up, dialed a number, and held it close to her ear. After ringing for a bit, someone answered. "Hello?"
"Hi, is Dr. Foalson there?"
"Yes he is, one moment."
"Thank you."
Celestia was put on hold. 'They just haveta play songs by Hoof Direction don't they?' She thought, annoyed.
"Hello?"
She was off hold (Thank Faust!). "Hello Doctor."
"Ah! Pri-err, I mean, Sundancer. How is everything?"
"Fine, but I was wondering...Do you mind coming by here in about thirty minutes? I know it's short notice but-"
"Nonsense! Anything for a beautiful Princess like yourself."
Celestia chuckled. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, see you in thirty minutes, bye!"
"Bye."
"Gooooooood Morning Mr. Cake!" Pinkie Pie greeted happily upon seeing her friend/boss/landlord, who was standing behind the counter with his apron on.
"Hello Pinkie." Mr. Cake smiled. "You seem pretty perky this morning- Well, more perky then normal, anyway."
"Really? I thought I always greeted you with five extra 'o's."
"...Beg pardon?"
"Well, ya see-"
"You know, on second thought I think I'm fine."
"Oh, okay. Well guess I'll see ya later! I gotta get to Applejack's, I heard her whole family's comin' for a shindig. Shindig, shindig shindig, that's a funny word isn't it Mr. C?"
"Well, I guess it is. Oh! And before I forget, some mail came for you." Mr Cake went over to the far end of the counter and got a couple of letters, and then handed them to Pinkie. Pinkie Pie glanced at both, one was from her Granny Pie, and the other was from- Pinkie gasped.
"Something wrong, Pinkie?"
Pinkie suddenly hid the letters behind her back as her cheeks began to turn red. "...Nope... Notta thing! I'll be-uh, upstairs!' Then Pinkie dashed upstairs leaving a confused Mr. Cake.
Pinkie Pie's room...
Pinkie Pie jumped on her bed and quickly opened the letter:
Dear Pinkie Pie,
How are ya? I'm doing pretty well, it's gotten a lot busier in little Apploosa, but we're handling it ok. How's Ponyville?
I'm hoping to visit this weekend because of the Apple family reunion.
Anyway, the reason I was letting you know is because, well, ever since you left, I've been thinking about you, a lot, I really appreciate how much you wanted to help us and the buffalo, so, anyway, I was hoping maybe we could meet up somewhere, just catch up with you and to talk about...stuff...
Wow, this is harder then I thought.
Well, Pinkie, basically what I'm asking is, 'would you want to go out on a date?'
You said there aren't many men in Ponyville, and I was kind of hoping you might not be seeing anyone.
If you are I completely understand, you're so sweet and nice and pretty, I wouldn't blame every guy in the world to ask you out.
Well, that's about it. Hope to see you this weekend!!
Braeburn.
Pinkie re-reads the letter twice. 'Braeburn wants to go out on a date? With me?!' She thought. She never admitted it to anyone, not even her friends, but she had had a small crush on the farmer. The biggest reason she had for not mentioning it was because it would get real awkward when she'd tell Applejack she had a small crush on her cousin.
Well, not a small crush, a medium sized crush.
More of a not quite big, but still pretty large crush.
Alright, alright, she had an enormous crush on Braeburn, but who could blame her? He loved making new friends, he made sure everyone who came to Apploosa had a warm welcome, not to mention how cute he looked in that cowboy hat.
Pinkie got off her bed and grabbed her helmet, pads, and Gummy. "C'mon Gummy, we're gonna see an expert on the matter!" Pinkie grinned.
Later...
Pinkie Pie pulled her small pink motor scooter to a stop behind a 1989 white Mazda MX-5 Miata. Pinkie kicked the kickstand and leaned the scooter on its side. She then entered the small boutique where her friend Rarity worked/lived. She took off her helmet, revealing her pet alligator Gummy holding on to Pinkie's hair for dear life. Said pink party pony giggled and nabbed gummy off her head, she then sat him down next to a light pole and put a leash on him. "I'm sorry Gummy, but you remember what happened last time you and Opal got together."
Two words: Cat fight.
One that Gummy lost.
Pinkie tickled the gator's chin before entering the frilly boutique...
Upon entering, Pinkie Pie saw Rarity sitting at her desk, drawing...something...Pinkie Pie walked over to her friend and asked. "Watcha makin' Rarity?"
"Eek!" Rarity suddenly jumped up to the ceiling and held on to a chandelier for dear life.
Now that she had a chance to see what her friend was working on, Pinkie looked at the drawing: It was, well, a head. "Ooh! Nice dress! Can I have onna these invisible dresses?"
Rarity, let go of the chandelier and used her magic to land on a couple dozen pillows. "They're not 'invisible dresses', I haven't started yet."
"Oh! But wouldn't an invisible dress be cool? Then ya could go to a party and scare everybody outta their socks! I scared Caramel outta his socks once, he had a bunch of flowers and was at Fluttershy's house, but then I asked him 'Watcha doin'?' and he jumped so hard his shoes and socks came off! And then when Fluttershy heard Caramel yell she opened the door which made Caramel run barefoot allllllll the way ta Sweet Apple Acres XD."
Rarity looked at Pinkie with her glasses perched at the end of her nose and looking over them. "This isn't why you came, is it?"
Pinkie shook her head. Then began to grow a little quieter, "I, uh, came to ask you for some advice."
Rarity raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah..." Pinkie handed Rarity the letter. Rarity slid the glasses back on her nose and read the letter. When she had finished a squeal of delight left her lips.
"So Braeburn wants to go out with you?"
"Yeah..." Pinkie dug her toe in the floor. "Do you think you could help me? I've never been on a date, before."
"Really?"
Pinkie nodded.
"Well darling, I think it's time we ended that." Rarity grabbed some cloth, scissors, and some thread. "Let's get to work."
Caramel wiped the sweat off his forehead after fixing one of the fences. It was hard work for the Neigh Yorker, but it payed pretty well and he got pretty good pay for his work. Caramel went over to a tree to where he had hung his white button-up shirt and draped it around his exposed upper body. As Caramel began buttoning up his shirt, his boss' little sister Applebloom ran up. She was wearing an orange T-shirt short overalls, and brown shoes with red socks peaking up out of her shoes, not to mention the big bow in her hair.
Caramel liked on occasion helping the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Applebloom's friends) with some of their ambitions, even if about a hundred percent of the time they failed. Applebloom looked up at Caramel. "Applejack said it's time ta eat if ya wanna."
"Well... Guess it couldn't hurt..." Caramel thought.
Caramel followed the nine year old, but after a few steps, Caramel could see something was wrong with his young friend, he tapped her on the shoulder and asked. "Something wrong?"
Applebloom glanced at Caramel and shook her head.
"You sure?"
This time a nod.
"Well you don't look fine. Did your boyfriend dump ya?" Caramel joked.
Applebloom shrugged while Caramel raised an eyebrow. She looked way too young to have that problem. "Is it something I could help with?"
The eleven year old bit her lip, trying to figure out if she should tell Caramel or not. She sighed, and began to spill. "Ah sorta have a crush on someone..."
"Really? Who?"
"Spike,"
"And lemme guess, he doesn't feel the same way about you?"
"Ah dunno, he's always wooin' Rarity and Ah've never gotten the courage to ask him what he, ya know, thinks a' me..."
"Well, I think you oghtta say something, no reason Spike should miss out on dating a sweet, pretty girl like you."
Applebloom's yellow cheeks began to turn red. "Ya think I'm pretty?"
"You bet. Just give Spike a chance, you never know. And if not him, maybe someone even better'll come along."
Applebloom was now grinning ear to ear, a livelier spring in her step. "Thanks, Caramel, that really helps."
"No prob. Now, we better get going, before your sister eats all the food!"
The two laughed and ran to the house...
After Breakfast...
Now Caramel was working on cutting down an old apple tree, a job he wasn't very good at, but he was making some headway. After a few more whacks the tree finally came down, Caramel exhaled and grabbed his seventy-five percent full, cold bottle of grape flavored Crocade that was sitting on the ground. He collapsed a couple feet away from it and grabbed the bottle, before drinking it all down. He lay their a few moments, until one of his bosses, Applejack, stood over him. "Mind if Ah come in?"
"No." Caramel watched as Applejack sat down next to him. Caramel used to have a crush on Applejack, and her sitting next to him definitely brought that up again. She wore a green T-shirt which cut off a bit too early and left a small part of her stomach bare, jean shorts, and boots that almost went up to her knees, and her famous stetson hat rested on her head.
Caramel really had forgotten how pretty she was.
Which is real awkward since she was his boss.
Applejack looked at the yellow Earth pony and asked. "Caramel, Ah wanted to say thank ya for helpin' Applebloom out, you gave her a real boost of confidence that she needed."
"Oh, uh, sure..."
"Um, Could I ask ya somethin'?"
"Sure..."
Applejack lay on her side and looked at Caramel. "You didn't help her out just cuz you still have a crush on me, did ya?"
Caramel looked at Applejack. "You knew I had a crush on you?"
"Yup. Mainly 'cuz ya always looked redder then apple pie fillin' when we worked together that one time fixin' the wall."
Caramel blushed and looked down at the ground.
"...And, uh, I sorta had a crush on you, too."
Caramel raised an eyebrow. "You...?"
"Uh-huh."
Caramel now lay on his side. "Um, could I ask 'why'?"
"Well, Ah always thought it was real sweet of ya to help the youngin's out with their crusadin', and you're a hard worker and you're gentle, and...um..."
"What?"
Applejack looked down at the ground, then back up. "Promise ya won't tell?"
"I promise."
"Pinkie Promise?"
"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye."
Confident with Caramel's oath, Applejack asked. "Do you remember when you were putting up some apples in the barn? And ya heard an odd squeakin' noise?"
"...Yeah?"
"Th-that was me...I saw you without your shirt and...Guess Ah lost it."
Caramel's eyes widened. Applejack found him attractive?!?!
"So...why don't you have a crush anymore?" Caramel asked in a calm tone.
"Well, Ah guess Ah still do..."
"Oh..." Caramel's heart was beating a mile a minute, what did he do now?
"Well, reckon Ah better get back to work. Good thing Big Mac and I are kin or he'd have mah hide." Applejack began to slowly get up and walk away, but then.
"Applejack!" Caramel called after getting up.
Applejack turned and looked at Caramel.
"Would you like to, um, go out with me sometime? Maybe tonight?"
this time it was Applejack's turn to blush up a storm. "Ah'd like that very much." She smiled.
Caramel returned the smile and waved good-bye, while Applejack gave a small wave, and smiled back.
Caramel did a back flip because he was so excited.
This was awesome.
Rarity was sitting in her chair at her work desk, a pencil in her month. She was looking at a piece of paper with a faceless head on a piece of paper. It was supposed to be a dress, but she couldn't think of squat on what to draw.
Rarity got up and began to pace, which helped her ideas flow.
...And still nothing...
Suddenly Rarity heard a knock at the door. She rushed over and opened said door, revealing a very angst Twilight. "Twilight dear, is something wrong?"
"...No...I...Cooould I come in?"
"Of course dear." Rarity opened the door farther and let her friend in. Twilight rushed over to the couch and sat down, she rested her head on hands and exhaled.
"Um...Twilight is something wrong?"
"...I...uh...Well...I was at the castle today because Solaris called me over to help cheer Celestia up, and when I was done I ran into this-um, unicorn..." Twilight paused.
"A unicorn?"
"...A unicorn...man..."
Rarity raised her eyebrows, now she was really interested! Twilight was interested in a man! But Rarity managed to stay silent.
Twilight continued. "And I kinda felt...weird around him..."
"How weird?"
"Well, I kinda got sweaty, my stomach felt a little weird, and it was real hard to talk to him."
"Twilight? Are you saying you have a crush on someone?"
"I have a-?" Twilight raised an eyebrow with her mouth slightly open.
"Yes, dear. So..." Rarity leaned in. "What was his name?"
Twilight bit her lip. "Well...Um...I didn't learn his name..."
"YOU WHAT??!!"
"I didn't ask his name, I told you it was hard for me to talk."
"Oh...So what did he look like?"
"Well, he was yellow, and he had blue hair... and he was a unicorn..."
"What was he wearing?"
"Um...a white T-shirt with a coffee stain, tan shorts, and I think socks with sandals."
"Socks with-?!" Rarity tried to hold back the small amount of puke in her mouth but managed to recover. "So, was he a guard?"
"No, he was an astronomer."
"He sounds perfect for you." Rarity smiled.
"Really?" Twilight paused, before. "Um, Rarity, how do I, um, tell him, you know...that I...like him?"
"Well, maybe when you're up there next time, you could ask the Princess and she'd tell you...who you have a crush on..."
"Okay, I'll write a letter to her when I get home I guess."
"Twilight, if it makes you feel any better, I learned Pinkie Pie has a crush on someone, too."
"Really? Who?"
"Braeburn, it turns out she's had one since they met."
"Really? Well, she certainly kept her feelings in check a heck of a lot better than I did. I never noticed-"
"This is Pinkie, dear."
"True. So, since we're talking about it, is there anyone you're seeing?"
Rarity sighed. "Not really, I've kind of tried to stay out of the dating craze since Bluebloods."
"Oh..."
"But don't let that put you off...whoever he is... He may be extremely sweet."
"Um, okay...Thank you, I guess."
"Anything, darling."
Later...
Rarity sat on her bed, still wearing a button-up shirt and a purple skirt, but no shoes. It was seven o'clock and she still didn't have anything for the dress, and she wanted to get this done before she had to watch her little sister Sweetie Belle tomorrow. She wanted to have some time to spend with her little sister, but she also wanted to get this dress done. Rarity exhaled hard and crumpled up the paper she had been drawing on, and threw it towards her already full trash can. It bounced off the pile and fell to the floor with three others. "Ughr!"
Rarity got off the bed and grabbed the liner for her trash can, then angrily went down stairs. Rarity got to the back door and swung the door open, she used her magic to put the garbage bag in the big trash can. But as she closed the back door she heard a knock at the FRONT door. Rarity sighed angrily. "When it rains it pours."
Rarity went over to the front door and opened- OH MOTHER OF CELESTIA!!!!
Standing in the door way was one of the most handsome (black) pegasus she had ever seen!! He was wearing a jean material jacket, a yellow shirt that matched his hair, jeans and brown boots. "Um, hi. Could you tell me where a car repair shop is? My car broke down and I need to be somewhere."
"Oh, well," Rarity cleared her throat. "There's a place near the diner that fixes cars, the diner is about a mile down," Rarity stepped out and pointed to her left, "That direction."
"Oh, okay. Thanks." The pegasus smiled and was about to leave when-
"Wait! Would you like me to call the garage so they can pick up your car?"
"Uh, do you mind?"
"Not at all, in fact you can come in if you wish."
"Oh no, it's fine, I'll just wait by my car."
"Nonsense! You come in right now."
The man sighed. "Alright, if you don't mind."
Rarity smiled at him and closed the door behind him with her magic.
As Rarity began dialing the phone, she figured this may be a bit desperate, but she also knew that this might be the only chance with him, she may never see him again! And this was the only guy in, like, forever, that she had found reeeeeeeaally attractive! Well, she there were a few eligible men in Ponyville, but not many. The only ones she would consider for a boyfriend were:
Big Macintosh, but he worked in....dirt all day....
Soarin', was nice when he was here, helping Rainbow Dash with flying, but he had fallen for Bon Bon and they were getting married.
Dr. Whooves, married. And a little preoccupied with time.
This guy was handsome, seemed real nice, and he was- was he available?
Uh...
"Hello? Wheeler's garage." The man on the phone asked.
"Hello, someone's car broke down by my house, would you be a dear and give him a tow?" Rarity asked using her sweet damsel voice.
After giving her address she learned that the tow-truck would be here in about twenty minutes.
After hanging up she went back to her guest in the living room, who was sitting on the couch. "The garage said someone would be here in about twenty minutes."
"Oh, okay. Thanks for calling 'em, I appreciate it."
"Oh, don't mention." Rarity answered as she sat down on the opposite couch. "So...Why are you in Ponyville?"
"Oh, I just moved to Canterlot and I wanted to catch up with a friend of mine."
"Oh? What's their name? I may know them."
"Oh, I doubt it, she doesn't get out much."
"Fluttershy?"
"Yeah! You know her! Wow! I didn't think she made it out much."
"Well, she didn't used to, but then we met Twilight Sparkle and she's come out of her shell."
"Oh, remind me to thank Twilight."
They talked for a while and before they knew it the tow truck arrived. "Well, guess I better get goin'." The man said.
"Yeah... I guess so..."
"Well, it was nice talking to you, Miss."
"Yes it was nice talking to you, too, Mr.?"
"Name's Starblast, what's yours?"
"I'm Rarity...Um...are you going to be in town for a while?"
"For a few days, I guess. Why?"
"Um...I was just wondering...could we, maybe eat somewhere? Together?"
"Like a date?"
"Um...Yes?"
Starblast smiled. "I'd like that."
Rarity smiled. "Well then, I'll pick you up at seven?"
"Yeah, I'm staying at the Simple 6."
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow then." They said there good-byes and Starblast left.
After he had closed the door Rarity began jumping up and down in a very un-lady like manor. "Yes! Rarity is back in the dating world!"
