Chapter One: Arrival

Previous Chapter

Buck woke up in a meadow, looking into the sky. He sat up and looked around. This wasn't a meadow, it was someones front lawn! Buck scrambled to his feet and shouted, enough to alert the person living there. Wait... this house was... a... tree? Buck was confused, he'd never seen anything like it. Until, that is... a unicorn approached him, a damn unicorn? Queered Buck. Am I even on earth? The unicorn cocked it's head to Buck, and to his surprise, spoke, pure golden English.

"What in Celestia's name are you?" Asked the mythical creature.

"I'm.... uhh... well, the name's Buck... I just sorta... woke up here... right here... to be exact." Buck had no idea what it was doing, writing down on paper?

"Interesting... you speak Equestrian when I pulled you from a completely opposite dimension... tell me, is everyone where you live hairless? almost monkey like? Same as you?" The unicorn peered as Buck, yearning for information. Wait a minute, hairless? Monkey? Oh hell no.

"What in Gods name makes you think i'm a damn monkey!?!??" Shouted Buck, standing to his feet. The unicorns eyes widened as he did so, and she looked to the paper with the quill and began to write more.

"Who is 'GOD' and is everyone there so aggressive?" Buck nearly slapped this unicorn, magic or not, this was frustrating!

"I'm outta here, have fun lil'-miss-insult" Buck stormed away, and decided he would explore this new place some more. Buck walked a few streets down, none of these buildings had signs, and they all looked a lot alike. Two buildings so far had signs, one had a picture of couches and quills and the other was 'SUGAR CUBE CORNER' okay, that seemed worth checking out. Buck walked in and looked around, only to receive frightened stared from some... god damn! was everybody horses here?

Buck approached the counter, he at least towered a good three feet over the female horse. "Uhh 'scuse me... ma'am? I'm just try'na find out where on earth I am?" Asked Buck, peering over the counter, wait... what was in the glass... cupcakes? This was a bakery? Well, at least the name made sense now.

"You're in Equestria, Ponyville, Equestria." Replied the little blue pony.

"And exactly just where is this? what planet?"

"Uhh earth? Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah, i'm damn fine, goodbye." Buck stormed away. WHY WAS THIS SO CONFUSING!?!? As

Buck walked ponies would just avoid him or not look at him. Hey look, it's like home... thought Buck. Wonder who is gonna treat me like a brute then? huh? Buck was angry about the way the residents here treated him, it made his skin boil, made his face turn red, it was all the annoyances of Alabama in a whole nother world.

Buck was kicking a rock toward the forest on the edge of town, and looked into the maw of an entrance, seeing a sign at the first row of trees, it read : EVERFREE FOREST BEWARE OF MONSTERS. How odd... monsters? Buck took a step in, it felt different immediately. Buck got the chills, felt sick to his stomach, and his nerves gave him the goosebumps. damn, sign shoulda said EVERFREE FOREST, PREPARE TO GET YOUR ASS SCARED OFF. Buck kept walking along the path, but saw a clearing to his left. well, at least if I get eaten, there'll be no more aggressive monkey thing in that washed up place. Buck entered the clearing, and to his surprise, it wasn't empty.

Buck was new to Equestria, and didn't understand what was in front of him. They looked like wild wolves, but they weren't flesh and fur like normal ones... they were made of wood? Buck stared at the beasts as they encircled him. "Hehheheh... nice.. doggies... don't hurt the poor lil' Alabama man.. he ain't gonna hurt you..." said Buck cautiously, the wolves looked hungry, with glowing green eyes. Buck charged one of the three that surrounded him. It certainly surprised the animal, but did not hurt it. He was shoved off, and the three wolves pounced, tearing his shirt, clawing at him, Buck knew for certain he was done for.

The ravenous animals slashed with claws, bit with teeth, and drew blood from Buck as the poor man was left defenseless to a creature for as far as he knew has no weakness. As another pair of claws sunk into his side, he nearly blacked out, but was able to stay conscious long enough to see one of the wolves explode, and the other two ran off, leaving Buck to wallow in the blackness of unconsciousness. Buck faded in and out of consciousness as he was being carried be something, all he was able to catch was a little black spiral with triangle edging it, before he found it too hard to stay awake.
