The Tree Fell Far From The Apple

       "You sure you're ready for this, Apple Eve?" Applejack asked, "We could start y'all next year, if you want."

       "Mom, I'm sure." Apple Eve said, "Don't worry."

       "It's just, you don't have yer cutie mark, and y'all know how Apple Bloom-"

       "Mom, it's fine." Apple Eve gave her mother a smile.

       "Alright, have fun at school, sugarcube." Applejack waved to her daughter as she trotted out the front door.

       "Bye, Mom!" Apple Eve's green eyes sparkled. She trotted to school, hoping to make friends.

       Foals everywhere played. She stared at the building, it looked like only her class would be in it.

       "Hi, you wanna play with us?" a voice came from behind her, a unicorn filly.

       "I'm Pound." a pegasus colt said, "And this is my sister, Pumpkin. What's your name?"

       "I'm Apple Eve." she smiled.

       "Let's play ball!" Pumpkin cheered.

       "Mommy! Mommy!" Apple Eve rushed into the kitchen.

       "Hey, sugar cube. How was school?" she hugged her daughter.

       "It was amazing!" she cheered, "I made two friends, Pumpkin and Pound! They're so nice!"

       "The Cakes?" That's great, sugarcube!" Applejack rubbed Apple Eve's head.
