The painful past burns deep within, and now most recently on his arm, soft sobs as he sits there in his bedroom or at least what he is calling his bedroom for the moment hoping for the warm embrace of any pony, but nothing happens. He has been by himself ever sense it happened, it was because he did not want to see anyone ever again, or for that moment at least because he often felt very lonely. So he lays there for had seemed like forever.... alone in the dark eyes wide open. After a long time he got up on all four hooves and went into the bathroom to clean himself up; he had to wash the dry blood away. After getting done patching himself up and getting a jacket to put on he opened up one of the curtains to his surprise; it was day time so he worked up some strength to even start Think of going out there go outside. He trotted very slowly not wanting to but it has been a few days since. He was a Pegasus he needed to work his wings. He lives on the ground because he was not a strong flyer but he was still able to get some height but not for long. He was just only a colt after all. Opening up the door walking outside; no one lived near him; he lived in an abandon house. Using his wings he took off toward town, making it there after a long time, he was so tired he tried to get out as often as possible because he had no cutie mark. When he did go to school, well he would see posters saying "DON'T HAVE UR CUTE MARK JOIN US THE CRUSADERS" with a picture of the three happiest little fillies on it. So he walked around asking ponies where he could find them. The answer would be the same every time: "Everywhere" or "I don't know," this was upsetting. No one can tell him were they are at until he turns around seeing them himself. He runs up to them happy to finally meet them.
"Are you guys the crusaders!!"He eyes grow wide mouth a gap waiting for the answer.
"Yup" said sweetie belle "why? Do you want to be a crusader!!" eyes and mouth even wider than his is.
"Now sweetie let's not scare em' off like all the others,” Said Apple bloom as she roll her eyes. “Ya’ll don't even know if he wants to join us yet."
“’Like all the others’?” he thought what does that mean as he is deep in thought as sweetie belle and Apple Bloom argue they all forget about Scootaloo until she said: "What is your name?" His smile fades.
He thinks to himself "I forgot," since he lived alone there was no need for a name so he forgot it. He opens his mouth and says "I don’t know" he starts to cry a little.
"Now...now friend" he looks up to Apple Bloom he never had anyone call him friend. "Why won't y'all go home and ask yer parents?" She said feeling pretty smart and witty
Once more he drops down as tears flow from his eyes, he starts to speak low and softly like Fluttershy “I...don’t have any parents," see it been a long time since he has seen his parents.
Scoots and Apple Bloom are in shock and don't know what to say; there is along moment were all four of them are on their flanks and no words are spoken.
Then finally one of them speaks "um... So can I join?" he speaks softly and his voice is weak from all the crying he did that day.
Before answering the question Sweetie Belle looked to the others in despair but yet approval; she goes closer to him and speaks warm conferring words: "Sure you can pal but what can we call you if you don't mind me asking?"
It was not along walk from CMC club house to Fluttershy’s cottage. They both was a bit surprised on how fast they get there; they both talked and they both had their reasons why they did not want to go back to the broken down shed of an house in description the colt’s house was a bit more fit for life, and could fit way more than just two ponies. Silent thoughts fill the air. How would it be if scoots moved in with the mysterious colt. For a long time they both walked in silence ignoring the huge elephant following them from behind. At the sight of Fluttershy both of their faces light up. Fluttershy was the first to speak after the mysterious silence fell over the two young ones.
“Hi you guys, what brings you two here and don’t you two both have to be getting home to your families?” she was obviously nervous with the lie she just told them try to keep their secret both of them at the same time; it was a lot of pressure on her.
Scoots giggled and the colt had a slight smirk on his face. “It’s ok we know each other’s secret, we was just hoping if we can sleep here tonight,”
“Oh! Yes you can stay here tonight, just stay very quiet pinkie pie is here but we are leaving very early you can sleep in a bit,” she had the kindest look on her face it was pretty late, yet she had no problem with them staying there she seemed to be there for them from the very first day.
The little ones were up the stairs and fast asleep. Chills ran through the yellow Pegasus when she realized that she was the only one up. Then fright bit at her when she recalled what she has been through. What she did, no what she had to do? A tear fell and hit the floor at that exact moment angel popped up he knew what was going on as if he was telepathic.
Fluttershy was holding a vanilla folder angle snatched it away “please angle I need to…see it just…just one more time”
Angle never really knew what was in the folder time but every she opened it up she seemed to go in to a bit of a trance and brake down afterwards. It scared him, but he had no choice she was his care taker all he could do is be there for her. He hopped up on to her shoulder and looked to the folder she stared to open it and so began the flash back.
“Agent Shy, there was a case for you, two convict. The dirty scum thinks they got off the hook; they settled down and to our knowledge started trying to start a family you will find them in Ponyville. Your goal is to bring them back here, dead or alive. I will pair you with a partner they are assumed to be heavily armed. Are you up for the case?” The stallion spoke as if Fluttershy was haft was across a football stadium.
She spoke on the same level of her commander “YES SIR. But who is my partner?”
He spoke again but in more relaxed tone. “Look it’s the trigger happy jerk that you don’t like but he seems good for this one case, and you’re the best one we got, so I’m sure you can keep him under control.”
She had a dead look “really that guy I can’t… *sigh*…I can’t work with this guy he is to damn happy with his trigger.”
“Look here little Fluttershy” as he poked his hoof in her face she nearly bit it off he snatched it back and proceed with the convocation. “He is already in the car and is ready to go, so get over it! And be careful out there!”
She had no choice again damn. And now how was she going to deal with this guy. She is just thinking to herself as she trotted down the hallway to the parking garaged and to the car to her car to see Gin the partner. She spoke calmly but seriously. “Come on get in the car,” she unlocked the doors but he did not respond to her “HEY! GET IN NOW!” he snapped out of his trance and got in.
“Damn girl relax! I see a hot mare and could not help myself,” he said this with an obvious smirk he was staring her down now.
“HEY! Do you want to bucking die!” she had a gun to his head in a split second she was speeding to get to Ponyville so she can just get this done so she don’t have to work with the tool by side her anymore.
“Hey, baby girl… umm just relax” she was much more crazy then he thought but she never forgave him from the last time he had hit on her whatever he thought. So they finally got to Ponyville and they headed in to the everfree where they lived, they roamed for a while in the dark both on high alert. And there it was the house with stallion and a mare and could that be a… no… yea no children. They buster in they both popped up and ran in to the next room. A few rounds were let off and there was a lot if yelling.
“JUST LEAVE WE DID NOTHING WRONG PLEASE JUST GO” they started to back out a bit ready to leave but a few rounds was shot back now it was they would bring them back dead.
Then they here the female voice again. “Please I have the baby with me please” shy lower her gun a bit but as always the high alert Gin could care less. “My husband is crazy please help me I’m coming out now,” she out there and *BANG BANG BANG*the sound of a mother mare hitting the floor and what came next is what broke Fluttershy the crying of a baby she instantly flew over to the child.
“Gin cover me!” tears flowed she went back over to her partner he had a few tears in his eyes.
“I…I killed the mother…” Gin puts the gun to his head and…
“Please Gin don’t do this not right now!” both of their eyes are fixed on the baby until they hear a pair of hooves walking across the room. Gin looks over the barrier that protected the three of them it was the husband he was over his wife. He spotted Gin.
“COME OUT YOU DUCKING PUNK, FACE ME LIKE A TRUE STALLION!!” the stallion threw his voice any pony could tell that
there was tears in his eyes “NO GUNS JUST A GOOD OLD HOOF FIGHT!” His shot gun seemed to fly crossed the room and over to the corner that they were at it hit the wall then the floor with a great thud. Gin looked to the baby and then to Fluttershy
“A going away present,” they lock lips for a second then he hoped over the barrier and proceeds fight the convict there seemed to be a lot of commotion, but after a while it die down a bit then silent just the occasional goo’s and gaa’s from the baby. Shy then goes to see the damage mother die Gin die and the father almost there. Fluttershy goes over to him she pulls a knife out she looks around blood there it blood everywhere. She started to cry.
“Please don’t take Dry Eyes away from me,” the stallion is looking into her eyes. “Please you don’t have to do this.”
“Sorry… but yes…yes I do” she took the blade and put it to his throat it was so sharp it just sunk in his neck you could hear drowning in his own blood it was deserving. Tears flowed she did not know what to do next she sat there with the child in her armies.
Angle was frozen in pure shock of what he just seen and heard the whole time she was telling him the story. Angle just got off her shoulder and hopped off. Fluttershy flew up the stairs when to the room that Scoots and the colt were asleep in, she put the folder on the dresser by the door “Good night Dry Eyes.” Tears streamed that same pain all over again.
Once more they all sat there on their flanks; the loud sound of silence consumed them all, but this time no one spoke up because he had no cutie mark, it was hard to choose a name, nor would it be smart ponies names coincide with their cutie marks, they didn’t know how it all worked just how it was.
“I don’t think we can” said Apple Bloom with a defeated look after about 30 minutes of silence. “Well at least we know that we can’t get our cutie marks there,” she had a faint grin trying to look for approval in the young colt’s eyes but…nothing. By this time they were no longer in town but in the CMC headquarters.
"But...but I need a name. I need something," said the colt; the water works started back up but Scoots walked over to him and sat next to him. She used a wing to pull him closer. He finally found that warm embrace he was searching for; he nuzzled up against her a bit more before he stopped crying. It was getting a bit late and Apple Bloom heard her sister calling for her.
"Ok girls I have to go but I’ll see ya'll tomorrow and bye to you to mister" Apple Bloom ran off.
"Well I guess I should be going too, Rarity must be worried sick about me," Sweetie Belle said this in a fashion mocking her older sister. "Um...Scootaloo you still coming over to my house tonight?"
She looked a little panicked for a second "Um...Um... no sorry my parent won't let me tonight, they will let me any other time but we are doing something tonight, probably for the next couple nights," She said the last part looking at the colt next to her, he looked pretty sleepy he was still nuzzled up on her.
"O...K...well I’ll be on my way then, bye mister bye Scoots" Sweetie leaves leaving just her new colt friend and her old mare friend. They both lay there.
The colt or mister then speaks up "Don't you have to get home um... Scoots?"
"See this is why I try to leave as late as possible I-I... don't have a home or family I live alone... like you" tears in both of their eyes started. "And the only pony that knows about where I live is..."
"Fluttershy," they said this simultaneously they looked at each other tears fading with a slight smile from both.
"How about we go to Fluttershy's tonight?" the colt continued "she will be glad to know the news."
