This is the journal of Red Sentry, a guard who is currently on educational leave at Canterlot University. He dreams to have a family (one day), to be great military leader (sometime later), to build some muscle (eventually), and be a charming stallion that no mare can resist (if he can ever get his confidence up.) Contained are his struggles from day to day as he tries to forge a better life for himself and walk the road of self discovery in small timid baby steps.

Warning: Some swearing and mention of sex may be present. (Nothing extreme or terribly offensive, I promise.)

Author's Note: This is a writing exercise that I'm doing to get more comfortable with inner monologue and journal/diary/letter writing and is (very) loosely based on some events in my life. I'm posting it for those that might enjoy reading about the mundacity of life and for feedback on style. This isn't really meant for those looking for a great and wonderful story, unless you like reading about a ponified version of a college students life. In that case, knock yourself out.
