Mama's Boy

Chapter 1: Obliteration

Objective: Kill and destroy everything.

"Must obliterate..." a monotone voice droned. "Exterminate."

"Omega Forty is now unstable!!" a voice yelled through the radio. "Repeat he is- ARRGH!!"

The sound of a neck breaking broadcasted throughout the facility as scientists, engineers, and many other people ran towards the exit. With them yelling and in panic, the soldiers in full gear squeezed through the scared crowd as they set up cover. The soldiers in black flipped tables over, stacked boxes on the top to hopefully make a good stand.

"Go, go, go!!" a soldier yelled, motioning more of the soldiers inside of the laboratory.

The soldiers grunted and moved quickly as vials of glass shattered onto the ground. Many tables were turned over as soldiers squatted to cover most of their bodies. Their rifles cocked and they switched their safeties off, aiming their weapons down a narrow hallway. Underneath their masks, the soldiers waited anxiously and patiently as the entire facility vibrated.

"Listen up, men!! Stand your ground!" a voice of authority said through the soldiers' radios. "We must not let Omega Forty escape, understood?!!"

"Yes, sir!!" the soldiers said in unison.

The entire facility shook again, the vibration felt by the floor. The soldiers shook even more as the vibration and crash grew even more intense.

"C'mon boys!! This is an A.I.!!" a soldier spoke up. "It can die just like us!! A few bullets will stop it! We're armed and it isn't!!"

The soldiers surprisingly relaxed and continued to aim down the hallway calmly as the vibration suddenly stopped. No sound came from the halls as smoke begun to fill up the room where the soldiers laid in wait. The soldiers continued to point their weapons up, their fingers ready to pull the trigger against the threat.

"He-Help me..." a voice called out from the hall very weakly.

The soldiers saw a man slowly crawling towards them very slowly. His arms barely got him moving as the man looked up with a pleading face.

"He-Help..." the man pleaded as his bloody fingers slipped on the floor.

His head injury dripped blood as he struggled to move.

"Please... help..." the man asked out one last time before collapsing abruptly.

"Hey!" a soldier called out, his weapon sill raised up.

The soldier slowly moved, but focused his weapon behind the man. The darkness stared back, with nothing to show.

"Spooner and Duct." the soldier said, motioning the two soldiers towards him with his head. "On me."

The two identical soldiers nodded as the three of them approached the unconscious man. The hallway was pitch black dark, making the soldiers very cautious. Spooner got a flashlight out to see if it was safe. The bright light went to the far end of the hallway, hoping to spot anything.

Nothing.

"Seems like a fatal blow to the head." Duct said, observing the man's head.

Duct was already helping out the man as Spooner gave him protection using his weapon. A hit hard enough had left a small hole in the man's head. Seeming to bleed out, Duct tried to apply pressure to the head wound. But as he did, Duct placed his two fingers on the man's neck.

Spooner looked down at Duct who shook his head in response.

Duct was about to get up before Spooner spotted out something.

"Hey, what's this?" Spooner asked as he raised his weapon at the man's back. "Brick, there's something on the man's back."

An abnormal flat lump was stuck up the man's back as Duct looked at it.

"Huh, that's funny..." Duct said as he reached for it.

"Keep your eyes clear boys." Brick said, aiming his weapon down the hall. "The damn A.I. can pop up anytime."

Duct got his combat knife out and cut the man's jacket open. What was in his jacket was a flat metal box. Confused, Duct flipped it over to see a small note that read, 'Open Me'. His gloved hands held the odd thing before fully observing it. Curious, he opened it and was met with a black screen.

"What is it?" Spooner asked, pointing his rifle at it.

"Whoa, don't point that near me!" Duct said as Spooner placed his weapon down. "Besides, it's just a laptop."

"A laptop?" Brick asked.

"A dead laptop." Duct said, his finger repeatedly pressing the laptop's power button. "There's no way in hell that a shitty A.I. can-"

All of the sudden, the dead laptop sparked to life as the black screen turned into a bright white. Two hands from the laptop clenched Duct's throat as the solider began to choke.

"Holy shit!!" Spooner said as the two blue hands immediately disintegrated Duct's face.

The hands shot out bursts of electricity as it entered through Duct's head. In an instant, Duct's head exploded into fleshy pieces as the two soldiers who just witnessed the attack scrambled for their weapons.

Duct's body slowly fell over onto the ground as Spooner and Brick sprayed their weapons at the awakened laptop.

"Ah, fuck! The A.I.!!" Brick said as he sprayed his weapon at the laptop.

As the sharp bullets pierced the device, a humanoid blue figure jumped out of the laptop, zapping both of the soldiers into an instant crisp. Two very bright bolts of lightning entered each solider, their screams of pain echoing throughout the hall. Their bodies burnt into a crisp as the smell of cooked human flesh filled the room.

"Two down for the count." a monotone voice escaped from the figure.

The figure's blue electric body died down as what it looked like it to be was a man in a black jump suit with a gas mask on.

The soldiers in the laboratory heard everything as they began to blind fire into the hall. Many bullets fired from the firearms flew towards the figure. However, the A.I. conducted electricity from it's hands as a barrier of blue energy made a shield. The blue shock absorbed every single bullet as the soldiers continued to fire.

"We're doing it!!" a soldier yelled out as they saw the blue shock getting weaker and weaker. "We're doing-AHH!!!"

A sharp bolt of lightning pierced through the soldier's heart, striking him dead in an instant. His body went limp to the ground with his rifle still firing. The bullets pierced the soldier's own comrades as the clip soon ran empty. The bullets didn't do any lethal damage, but a few soldiers were hit.

"Program Option #2..." the A.I. droned on in front of the stunned soldiers.

It lifted it's hand up slowly as many of the soldiers aimed at the defenseless A.I. But all they were met was a dead click. Their hands and fingers then scrambled with more ammunition but was cut short as the A.I. attacked.

"Fork Lightning." the A.I. said, it's open palm starting to generate a blue spark.

A single lightning bolt suddenly chained into multiple bolts as they made a square mark onto the hearts of each soldier. Some of them screamed in pain before falling to the ground. Some with no words escaping their mouths. But they all met the same fate.

Death.

As the smell of fried flesh filled the room again, the dangerous A.I. looked around and scanned the room. Each soldier was now limp and lifeless as Omega Forty scanned the entire lab. A slight cough was then heard. Forty looked around again as his feet echoed the sound of heavy boots.

"Ugh, no, please, no more..." a voice said weakly.

Forty could see a soldier trying to crawl away as fear and panic took a hold in his voice. The A.I. slowly walked over to the soldier and grabbed him from the back.

"Ah!!" the solider yelled out as Forty held the man out with an arm. "Please!! Spare me!!" the solider pleaded as Forty stared into the soldier's eyes.

His eyes were clearly afraid as the reflection of Forty's visor stared into him.

"No."

The soldier began to hyperventilate as Forty threw the solider onto the ground. With a crash, the soldier grunted and groaned in pain as Forty walked over to finish the job. Grabbing the kevlar vest from the soldier's throat, Forty lifted his fist up before the soldier asked a question.

"Do-Don't you know what you are?! Who you are?!" the soldier screamed, his eyes beginning to tear up as Forty's fist relaxed.

"Death..." Forty replied, lowering his fist. "I am Death..."

"Death?" the soldier squeaked.

"To whisk you away to the afterlife..." Forty finished as blue electricity exited out his palm.

"Get the civilians out of here!!" a superior officer ordered to the many soldiers.

Lightning crashed above as heavy rain came from the stormy sky. The rain came down in a downpour as soldiers were getting stacked up for a defense.

Medic teams, military personnel, and even helicopters arrived at the scene as a military convoy rolled in.

"Go, go, go, go!!" a voice said as the back doors of the truck opened.

Fully armed soldiers took their positions and aimed right at the front door. Bright lights up on military trucks and helicopters shone brightly at the door as cover was set up with sand bags and vehicles. The fully automatic weapons aimed straight at the door and waited for orders.

"An A.I. escaped?" a soldier asked his buddy nearby as their metal weapons were locked and loaded. "How is that possible?"

The two soldiers stood at the back of the vehicle and waited as their superior officer was occupied for the time being.

"Something to do with experiments." the buddy said as he wiped the water from his visor. "I heard that-"

"Help!! Please help!!" a voice yelled through the radio on the nearby convoy.

The two soldiers grabbed the radio speaker and talked into it.

"Are you a civilian inside the facility?" the first soldier asked as his buddy ran off to report to their officer.

"Yes! Yes I am! My name is Doctor John Wayne!!"

Forty stood beside a covered window and stared outside. His complex brain analyzed the vehicles, soldiers, and the helicopters that would strafe time to time. Blue numbers appeared in his vision as a radio static entered his mind.

"Yes! Yes! I am! My name is Doctor Wayne!!" a voice said.

The blue numbers stopped coming in Forty's vision as he focused on the radio call.

"Doctor! Do not worry, you'll make it out alive!" another voice replied.

Forty looked up at the ceiling of the facility and begun to trace the call. His mind changed objective again as his orders were clear.

Kill and destroy everything.

"Oh my God! No! I'm an idiot!! Doctor John cried.

"Please, stay calm, Doctor." the soldier replied. "Everything will be-"

"No!!"

The running of footsteps were heard, running away from the radio.

A soldier looked up to his superior officer.

"He ran away, sir..."

The radio suddenly picked up a noise, an odd frequency that hit the soldier's ears.

"Hello? Doctor?" the soldier asked as the superior officer listened in also.

"You shall be exterminated..."

Doctor John ran at full speed down the hall as the broken lights lit up time to time. His body full of adrenaline pushed his body to run away from the threat that was soon coming for him.

"My God, where to go, where to go?!" the doctor said quickly, turning corners. "Forty will kill me!!"

He continued to sprint around the halls, his breath soon becoming short. His mucsles suddenly got sore as he breathed heavily.

"I should work out more... Damn, I sho-" he stopped himself before his face lit up in delight.

"Of course!! Why didn't I think of that?! Oh, doctor!! You are a genius!!" Doctor Wayne exclaimed. "Work out!! Work it out!! Ooh damn!! Yes!"

With the new hope, Doctor Wayne ran fast as what his body could go at and arrived at his own office. His hand went towards the hand scanner that was next to the gigantic sliding door.

"C'mon! Open!" he said as he looked back.

The dark hallways stood in darkness as Doctor Wayne grabbed the side of the door and pushed it open. Still out of breath, Doctor Wayne mantled over a flipped desk as he heard the door crash open.

*CRASH*

"Exterminate... Obliterate..." a voice droned.

The sound of electricity sparking was heard as Doctor Wayne pushed himself even farther.

"My cannon, my cannon!!" Doctor Wayne exclaimed as he ran by some rooms and halls. " I can do it!!"

The doctor threw down objects at the side of the halls to hopefully stall Forty. Even if it stalled him for a second, that would depend if Forty escaped or not.

"All of my yes!!" Doctor Wayne yelled in delight as he ran in to see a giant cannon pointing up. "The F-12 Penetrator!! I'm glad those fucks didn't cut my funding!"

He ran up towards the top of the weapon and aimed it at the giant door. The engine started to hum as the doctor changed the settings.

"I brought Forty into this world..." he said as he flipped a few switches. "And I can bring him out of this world!!" he said, putting it at full power.

The slender barrel of the cannon was sleek and magnificent as it started to vibrate.

"Able to penetrate dimensions..." the doctor said as he grabbed a metal pole. "It can erase him from existence!! Forty should have never existed!"

The sound of walls breaking down echoed throughout the halls as the doctor stood at the doorway with his pole out.

"But that means I'll erase myself from existence..." he thought as a figure manifested from the distance.

A figure in a gas mask walked slowly towards the doctor, who started to tremble and shake.

"Omega Forty!! My creation!!" Doctor Wayne said as the A.I. continued at the same pace.

Forty lifted his hand up and continued to walk as the doctor braced himself for what was going to happen. As Forty started to fire a beam of electricity, the hallway around him started to conduct. The blue electricity from Forty started to drain away from him. The A.I. immediately stopped and continued on towards the doctor.

"Must kill... Destroy..."

The doctor sniffed as tears started to form at his eyes.

"My son... My creation..." he sniffed as Forty got much closer.

About ten feet from the doorway, Forty stopped and looked up.

"Unknown weapon. Analyzing."

"Oh no you don't!!" Doctor Wayne yelled as he rushed the A.I.

He brought the metal pole up and down straight at Forty's visor, sending a crack into it.

"Analyzing failed. Must obliterate." Forty said as he grabbed the metal pole.

It bent with ease as the doctor let go of the pole. The crunch of the pure metal left the doctor thrown towards the ground. He was lucky that happened. As his body met the floor, electricity challenged through the pole.

"Come here, Forty!!" the doctor said. Come to Papa!"

Recovering from that, the doctor ran towards inside of the room and grabbed the nearest item: a chair. With that in hand, the doctor threw the furniture towards Forty, who was about a few feet away. The furniture slammed into Forty, stopping him in his tracks.

"Exterminate." Forty said as he crushed the chair with his strength. "Must obliterate human male."

But as Forty looked up, he was tackled to the ground by the doctor.

"We're going to be erased from the Earth, Forty!!" the doctor said as Forty's fists punctured the doctor's leg.

"ARGH!!" the doctor yelled.

Excruting pain shot through his body as Forty perked his head up. Throwing the doctor to the side, Forty's eyes suddenly went towards the blinking cannon.

"Danger, must-"

A magnificent blast of the cannon blasted Forty and as well everything nearby him. The walls exploded as the pressure of the cannon collapsed the dimensional wall. The doctor sat up, smiling to himself.

"I can finally die." he said softly.

He closed his eyes as the light took him away.

In a relative dimension...

"C'mon mom!!" a squeaky voice exclaimed. "I just need to kill Krakook to get the Vine Key to unlock the Frost world!"

"Button, you have played long enough." a beautiful mare replied to the beanie wearing colt.

She kept her voice low and soft to her little colt. Her silky blue eyes looking down on him.

"Just 5 more minutes, mom!"

"Remember how that turned into an all nighter, Button?" his mother asked, raising an eye

"It was really 5 minutes!" Button replied. "The Maze of Links has that feeling! Haven't you even played the Xelsword series yet?!"

"Button, please just go to bed. You have school to-"

"No!" Button yelled as he ran from his room. "I do what I want!"

"Button! Honey!" his mother called out.

But Button was out the door. The chilly evening met Button's coat as he talked to himself.

"Who hasn't even played the Xelsword series yet?!" Button exclaimed as he walked through the streets of Ponyville. "I wish something from the sky will fall!"
