a little voice in the dark

the two young ponies made it to the school house without very many problems as sing song had knocked over a table and a potted plant.

[canterlot schoolhouse]

"sing song would you like to introduce us to your new pet?" the teacher asked as sing song got up and bumped into a desk.

all the other ponies in the room laughed at her

"Hey would you like it if you were blind and everypony laughed at you!" a blue coated Pegasus shouted to the other ponies as he helped sing song get to the front of the class

"and you are?"snickered a yellow filly in a pink frilly dress

"i am treedust and you need to be nicer to sing song," the blue pegasus said as he turned sing song towards the class, his tail flickered with a green flame.

"whats wrong treedust, you got something wrong with your tail? the yellow mare taunted

"no i just. just." treedust shied away as he was engulfed by a green flame, revealing the body of a changeling

the entire class gasped...except for sing song,

"oh my gosh, i knew there was something wrong with him and now i know, he is a changeling," the yellow filly sneered as the changeling started to tear up

sing song had dizzy guide her to the yellow filly's desk

"Hey starlight don't you think you have already caused enough pain for me and now you have to go picking on another foal, i'm ashamed of you, what do you think your mother would say if she heard you were doing this!" sing song shouted and got quiet.

"i..i'm so sorry, i didn't realize that... no pony can take you seriously with those ey-," starlight didn't finish as the other fillies and colts started to throw paper at her

"that's not what you were supposed to learn here,"said princess celestia as she trotted into the classroom as most of the ponies in the room bowed

"hello there little changeling, why are you here?" celestia asked as she took notice of sing song's eyes

"I just wanted to be like the other ponies, but everypony picks on me" the changeling whined

"oh is that right,"princess celestia walked over to starlight's desk, "you should learn a thing or two about being nice,"

"im sorry its just, they are so different," starlight said "everypony else is normal and here they are the two weird ones"

"and how is this filly different from anypony else?" celestia asked

sing song stepped forward and ran into a desk again "i..i'm blind," sing song said as the bell rang and all the other ponies rushed out of the classroom

sunflower introduced herself to the changeling and the changeling introduced himself to sing song and sunflower

and the three ponies trotted out of the class as the best of friends.
