--Day 2--

"Rise and shine sleepyheads!" a familiar voice screeched. I groggled for a bit and then woke Trixie up, since she seemed like a heavy sleeper. When she woke up she complained a lot. "The GREAT and POWERFUL Trixie needs her beauty sleep."

"Well, the great and powerful Trixie needs to get adjusted to new sleep patterns," Derpy teased. Trixie got on her magic outfit and decided to agree to help Derpy. I asked Derpy was she had a problem with. She said she could help Derpy with her mailing techniques, because they were a little sub par. We went outside and Derpy got her mailbag on and went out the front door. We followed her out and seen how she put mail in.

As she started to put the mail in the mailbox Trixie grew worrisome. I seen her run to Derpy and ask her what she was doing. To me it looked like she was doing a pretty good job but I guess beggers can't be choosers.

"Trixie, don't be so skeptical; this is how I always handle the mail," Derpy expressed with delight.

"Yes but..." Trixie explained. "Trixie thinks you should actually open up the mailbox. Also, where did you get that fifth leg?"

Derpy looked confused. "Fifth leg, but this is my front hoof."

I blinked again and saw Derpy had the usual four legs. I heard about this god named Discord and I thought, maybe he's up to this? I thought nothing on it and then saw Derpy open the mailbox, which made Derpy happy. Unfortunately, there was still tons of other people to deliver mail to, so she went to those mailboxes and handed them the mail they deserve for once. Trixie smiled and so did I.

Derpy came back to us after she did her work and hugged us. "Thank you, without you guys I could never experience my dream, and you saved my job."

I smiled then looked up to the sky. Suddenly, it flashed white two times but no one noticed. I brushed it off as thunder and looked back to the rest. I looked nervous at them and they looked confused at me like I just lost my marbles, which of course I didn't.

"What's wrong Jack?" Derpy asked.

"So that's your name, eh?" Trixie smirked. "Anyways, Trixie demands you tell her your problem."

"Well," I begun slowly. "It's starting to rain, so we should get back inside," I finished. They agreed and we headed back to Derpy's house. When we got back outside I noticed there wasn't even a cloud in the sky. I asked Derpy if she could introduce us to anymore people. She told us there was the one nature pony who has a real nice personality.

"Just follow me, and I'll lead you to her," Derpy disclosed excitedly.

We walked with her. I noticed we were very close to the everfree forest, when I noticed a cottage. There was a lot of birdhouses around here and the sounds of animals were inside. I knocked on the door, and heard a very shy-sounding voice on the other.

"W-Who is it?" the voice asked.

"It's a friend of a friend? Could I come in?" I asked gently.

"Well... I guess so," and she opened the door for me. Derpy and Trixie also followed in. The yellow mare poured some tea in a cup and passed me some. I thanked her and then she went to go see Derpy and Trixie.

"Who... is this colt?" she asked.

"Jack; I swear he's good, at least, what I know of him..." Derpy expressed.

"Yes... what's your name?" Trixie asked the shy pony.

"F-fluttershy..." she whispered very quietly.

"Sorry, Trixie didn't catch that."

"Fluttershy," she said a little bit louder.

"Ok, so as I was sayin— WHO IS KNOCKING AT THE DOOR WHEN TRIXIE IS TRYING TO SPEAK!" Trixie exclaimed.

Derpy opened the door and seen a blue pony with a rainbow mane. "Hey Fluttershy, I came to see what you were up to, but I can see that your busy."

She began to leave but then Fluttershy stopped her. "Wait! I want to introduce you to these people. This is Jack; this is Trixie and this is Derpy."

"*Sigh* I know these people, except Jack," Miss. Ecstatic exclaimed. I asked for her name. "You mean you seriously don't know me? I'm Rainbow Dash, the coolest pony you'll ever meet."

I sighed and attempted a smile. I then noticed that Derpy and Trixie were getting sort of bored so I decided to go back to Derpy's place. They followed me to there. When I got there I sat on the couch and Derpy was in front of me. I asked them if they knew anything I didn't.

Trixie took off her magic outfit and wondered what I mean't.

"I mean... okay example, did you see some flashes in the the air," I discussed.

They went silent, awkward silent.

"Well?"

"Um..." Derpy began speaking. "I actually seen those flashes. They flashed twice, right?"

"That's correct."

"Well, that usually means something in this world has been altered. Now, I have no idea what went wrong, but I can tell you that it's not good."

I yawned and started to become tired. The Gala was in two more days and Derpy seemed to of get a confidence boost from meeting me, so it's really okay. I went to sleep with Trixie again. It's platonic obviously, and thought about what the next day would bring.

Author's Note

The image for this is kind of good, except I need a better background. Maybe I'll snatch some from double rainboom... I don't know. Also, Derpy has 5 legs, which is a one-time thing I swear other things will be better. Also, the excuse for the same background is that it's a different location, because it has a mailbox now.
