Princess Sakuya And a Little Backstory.
Previous ChapterCelestia turned towards the alicorn in front of her as she began to spoke . " Oh, how rude of me, I haven't introduced myself, I am princess Sakuya, guardian of the Konohana trees and the godess of nature. I have called you here because you are the only one who can rid Nippony of the darkness that has taken hold of it now that Shiranui is gone. That thing on your back is called a divine instrument, command it to lash out at your enemies with your mind, and it will abide.it is a tool for demon slaying. Now then, an ancient demon has been unleashed, the Konohana trees are all either saplings, or withering. You are the only one who can stop the cursed zones from spreading any further."
Celestia thought for a while. "This is a lot to think about" she told the alicorn, "may I at least get some background to what you're asking of me?" Sakuya looked at her. "Very well"
" Long ago, there was a small town surrounded by cherry blossoms called Kamiki . However, it hid a dark secret. Every year, a maiden would be scarificed at the annual festival to satiate the apetite of the 8-headed demon Orochi. He was a fearsome beast and it was rumored that anypony who stared into his blood-red eyes would be cursed. As the festival neared, a strange white unicorn appeared. She kept a watchful eye over the village. Many assumed her to be a servant of Orochi. She was called Shiranui for her white fur, although she had a pink mane. One stallion was constantly attempting to challenge the wolf. His name was Nagi . He was never able to win, Shiranui was too swift. On the night of the accursed festival, an arrow flew from the sky and struck the door of the most beautiful maiden in the village. Her name was Kuni. Nagi, harboring a secret love for Kuni, was enraged by this sign. He vowed to put an end to Orochi once and for all. He traveled to the beast's lair, known as the Moon Cave, in place of his love. As Nagi stood bravely before the entrance... A beast appeared, eyes going crimson upon 8 thrashing necks. Orochi stood tall before him, anxious for another sacrifice. Nagi leapt with incredible grace, swinging his blade valiantly. On and on he sliced, well into the moonless night... But Orochi's hide was like steel. The blade left nary a scratch. At long last, Nagi, his energy spent from the intense battle, dropped to his knees, fatigued and gasping for breath. He knew he was staring death in the face. It was then that the unicorn appeared. As if to protect Nagi, it stood it's ground before Orochi. In the darkness of the cave, the unicorn's coat shone brilliantly. Alas, it was Shiranui, the unicorn that dwelled outside the village. Baring it's fearsome claws, Shiranui leapt toward Orochi. Orochi reared it's terrifying heads, readying It's fangs for battle. The two beings struggled wildly, thrashing in the darkness. Mysterious and terrifying, the spectacle continued. Shiranui summoned gusts of divine wind to counter Orochi's flames. As Orochi closed in on Shiranui, sharpened claws glistening, a gigantic tree suddenly sprouted, shielding the unicorn. Shiranui fought gallantly to gain the upper hand. However... Orochi, protected by a mystical power, was not easily bested. Shiranui, covered in gashes, majestic coat dyed crimson, stood exhausted before the mighty Orochi. Orochi saw a chance to strike what would be the final blow. But Shiranui refused to give in. With her last ounce of strength, the majestic unicorn gazed heavenward and let off a loud but elegant whistle. Suddenly, the black clouds overhead dissipated. The light from above glinted off of Nagi's sword as a beacon of hope. Guided by his sword, Nagi, who had been taking shelter in the shadows, stood proudly to face his adversary. Channeling all his strength into his scarred and battered hooves, he leapt ferociously toward orochi, his sword poised high. The golden sword danced in his hooves like a puppet on a string. One bo one, Orochi's fearsome heads separated fro their owner. Orochi's broken body collapsed in a lake of it's own blood. In that instant, the curse that plagued the villagers was lifted. As the battle subsided, the sun shone once again. Shiranui had succumbed to Orochi's poison and struggled to breathe. Nagi scooped the unicorn into his hooves and returned to Kamiki.
When they reached the village, shiranui was no longer moving" Celestia couldn't help but shed a tear at that. "The village elder nudged Shiranui. In response, she let out a hoarse and pitiful cough, then closed her eyes and drifted off as if into slumber. Peace had at last returned to Kamiki Village. In honor of Shiranui's heroic deeds, the villagers erected a shrine and placed a statue of the white unicorn within it. Nagi's sword was christened "tsukuyomi" and placed inside the Moon Cave. The villagers all looked forward to an age of endless peace... However, this is not the end of the story... Recent events have caused Orochi's return. Somepony removed Tsukuyomi from the moon cave.
