Corruption in ice, Harmony in ashes.

Chrysalis was the first one to attack, sending a green energy blast from her horn, which had been destroyed by a red one. Another flamethrower smashed his side, sending him some meters onto his back. I ran toward him to attack with my claws, but he hit my stomach and, then, my face.

I fell to the cold floor, almost feeling how the breastplate moved from its place. I get up, only to receive another kick on my face and a energy blast on my back. My eyes opened slowly, swallowing my pain, only to see the King throwing another energy blast, this time, to my face.

When I almost felt it hit my body, the Element of Magic shined and a very powerful white energy blast absorbed his and hit him in the chest. I get up helped by Chrysalis, I must say that I noticed her bruises; she received some attacks from the corrupt unicorn.

–You have the Element of Magic, for what I can see... –the King rose from the floor and made his horn glow–. But what is more powerful: White Magic or... –his red glow became purple and green–...Dark Magic? –

A really fast projectile of purple magic hit us, sending us to the marble walls of the palace. I was the first to get up, so I used a curative spell on our wounds.

–Not even the Element of Magic can defeat my Dark Magic –Sombra said as he walked toward us–. So... what about a give up? You two can't win this battle.

I prepared a energy blast when Chrysalis get up. I aimed him and prepare to send it as fast as I could, but I felt like something was absorbing my magic...

–We can't win, Eclipse. We must give up if we want to keep our lives... –Chrysalis said as her green energy absorbed mine's–. We failed our mission, we failed Equestria and the Empire, we failed everybody we know... –

–Are you serious, Chrysalis? We just started this battle and you already quit it! –I shouted to the top of my lungs–. You promised me something I will never forget, something I don’t want YOU to forget... –a tear fell from my eye–. You promised to be by my side until the bitter end... –

A gasp of surprise escaped my lips when something pointy, curved, and really sharp performed my chest. My blood stained my light grey coat as I fell to the floor, feeling my left lung filling with my own red, burning liquid.

Chrysalis snapped back to reality when I screamed in agony as the owner of the horn keep mutilating my back, perforating over and over and over again my lungs and, maybe, other organs.

–Get away from her! –she send a green flamethrower towards the King when my body, almost lifeless, fell to the floor. Sombra was sent back some meters, maybe forty or fifthly, I don't really know. My vision, now black and white, was really blurry–. No... Please, Eclipse! Stay with me! –

My hearing began to fade as I felt how my life slipped away from my body. My last words where so low that I wonder if Chrysalis heard them:

–I will always stay by your side, Chrysalis. Thanks for everything... –

(Chrysalis's P.O.V)

No... This can't be happening. Eclipse, my only friend, my shining sun in my life of darkness, is death... And because of me. If I hadn't succumbed to my fear and anger she will still be by my side.

Tears fell from my eyes as I took what will  be hers forever, even in death: the breastplate with the Element of Magic. I put it on my chest and used the offensive spell me made... together...

The three beams of different elements hit the King right where she wounded him, the already bleeding wound was now much worse. I stare at him as he gets up once again, only to get a powerful punch right on the face.

–Why? Why did you take her away from me? –I questioned while my hooves keep on hitting him–. Just tell me why, you monster! –

–Because she was an enemy... the most powerful I had ever seen... –he grabbed my hoof–. And the true bearer of the Element of Magic. –

The Element shined brightly, blinding him for several minutes. I knew what I had to do, something Eclipse deserved to do, or expect, at least. I carried her body on my back and, then, I flied to the sky, the shining light more powerful as I keep going up.

My horn shined again, but this time not with my typical green energy, surrounded with a rainbow-colored energy. The Elements of Harmony responded to the call of the most powerful one...

A fast, rainbow-colors beam smashed the King, shining really bright as time goes on. I felt the magic of the Element growing, slowly dominating the Empire. A beam separated from the first one and made a big crack, where I could hear Sombra falling into the darkness of the crystal abyss.

The light faded, my eyes opened. The crack, the Empire, everything was gone, everything except the Element and my dear Eclipse.

Some hours later...

I watched the body in the hospital's bed, wondering how the magic of the Element binged her back in a pitiful state, almost in coma.

–Doctor, she will be okay... right? –I asked, fighting the tears that wanted to fall.

–I can't assure you nothing, Captain Chrysalis –a stallion of slim figure, with dark blue coat, black ayes and short, white mane: Doctor Afterlife–, but we will do our best to keep Captain Eclipse alive. –

He exited the hospital's room and we where alone again. Loneliness... the only thing that will be by my side if she dies...

–Please, don't die again Eclipse –despite my efforts a tear fell from my eyes right on her chest–, don't make me suffer again... –
