Rarity turned around and smiled. "Hello darling, is there anything I can help you with?" She asked.
Dash nodded. "Yeah, could I maybe speak to you and Fluttershy in private?" She asked in a hesitant tone.
Rarity raised an eyebrow. "Whatever for darling, here take a seat," the white unicorn said, levitating a chair in her blue aura as the furniture floated over next to Dash.
The cyan mare quickly sat down on the chair and slowly looked up to face the two harmony bearers as they leaned in to hear what she had to say. Taking in a deep breath of air, she spoke.
"Well, I keep getting these feelings for Spitfire," Dash said as her cheeks burned slightly.
Rarity seemed to smirk slightly as she caught on to what the blue pony was talking about. "Okay darling, I'm starting to get what it is your feeling, when does this happen?" The mare asked curiously.
Dash glanced over to the yellow mare who was currently talking to Scootaloo, unaware of Dash's wearabouts. She quickly turned back to Rarity and Fluttershy before continuing in a quieter voice.
"Well, I usually get these feelings for her when we're closer together," Dash explained as she thought about all the times she had felt her heart rise in her chest when she was around the mare, one of which was very recent.
Rarity nodded. "Hmm, okay darling I think I'm just about there, just one last question. When did you start having these feelings?" She asked as she leaned in further.
Dash felt the blood rise in her cheeks as she felt the embarrassment of the next question, she spoke up, but only in a whisper. "Maybe about....a few months?" She said hesitantly as she scratched the back of her neck with a forehoof.
A large smile started to grow across the unicorn’s face as she sat upright on her chair proudly as she spoke. "I think I know what's bothering you darling," she said confidently.
Dash's eyes widened at the statement. "Y-you do?" She asked in a slightly shocked tone.
Rarity turned to Fluttershy who had said nothing so far but had been listening to Dash's question and an equal smile adorned her face. She nodded happily before Rarity leaned in and said.
"You're in love," the white mare said simply.
Dash's mouth dropped as her mind did backflips, how could she be 'in love' with, out of all ponies, 'another mare.’
Dash shook her head before she looked back up to the two ponies in front of her. "Are you sure?" She asked in an astonished tone.
Rarity smiled as she put a forehoof on her shoulder. "Positive darling, and it seems like you have been like this for a while," the mare said as she giggled slightly.
Dash's mind was a blur, she glanced back over to Spitfire at the other end of the store. She still had yet to notice Dash's disappearance.
Rainbow sighed. "Well, what do I do now?" She asked curiously.
Dash was surprised when both mares had to hold back their laughter from the question she had just asked. The rainbow maned mare raised an eyebrow. Rarity saw her friend’s concerned look and held back her giggling as she spoke.
"Thats not really a question darling, hehe, it’s um, up to you what it is you do, let your heart tell you what's right," she said, placing a hoof on Dash's chest.
Dash rolled her eyes. "If it means I have to go all mushy Rare, then you can count me out," she said, getting up off the chair and leaving the other two ponies at the table.
Rarity watched the cyan mare leave to the other side of the room as Fluttershy spoke up. "Umm... do you think they'll be okay?" She asked with a hesitant tone.
Rarity chuckled slightly before she turned to her friend. "Well, knowing Rainbow Dash, I think it will all end in a disastrous fireball of some sort," the unicorn said, rolling her blue eyes as she levitated her now slightly warm cup of tea.
Rainbow walked over to Spitfire and Scootaloo, who by now were halfway through the cake. Dash's mind was still buzzing about her latest information, but she managed to keep it at bay as she opened her mouth.
"Hey guys , whats up?" Dash asked, taking a seat on the chair opposite Spitfire.
Scootaloo smiled. "Hey Dash, me and mum were talking about how we should start thinking about taking me to flight school next summer," the filly said excitedly as her wings buzzed.
Dash smiled as she ruffled the filly's purple mane. "Sounds like a great idea squirt, I would pitch in, but I've got rent to pay," the cyan mare said in a sad tone. Spitfire’s thought was quick to interrupt.
"Don't worry about that, I've already payed the rent this month," the yellow pegasus answered as she looked up from her slice of cake.
Dash was stunned by this and felt her chest flutter again. "Y-you didn't have to do that Spits," Dash said with a surprised tone.
Spitfire giggled. "Well I just want to help you out in anyway I can Dash, you're a great friend," the mare replied.
Dash's mind went blank as the words bounced around in her head, sending her mind into overdrive. She started to think about the possibilities of her friends being right about their answers and started to feel slightly dizzy from the frustration of it all. Then a voice that came from the pony who started the problem cut into her mind, bringing her back to reality.
"Are you okay Dash?" Spitfire asked as she and Scootaloo looked to the mare in concern.
Dash shook her head as she said. "Yeah, I think I'm cool," the rainbow mare replied as she looked between the two, she could see that Spitfire was concerned by the look on her face.
Suddenly she spoke. "Is there something on your mind Dash?" She asked as she leaned further across the table.
Dash nodded, putting on a happy smile as she kept her lips sealed. Spitfire sighed, knowing she wasn't going to get any information out of her friend, and simply opted to turn to her daughter.
"Well sweetie, I think it’s about time we all got home, eh? What do you think Dash?" She asked, returning to her normal, energetic tone as she put the rest of the cake into her saddlebag, which she had brought along for the day.
Dash nodded. "Yeah I guess so, come on squirt, you can ride with me on the way home," she said and the filly smiled.
Scootaloo got on Dash's back and the three walked out of the door. Dash's mind was still a
