An Angels Descent

  After Xialian left, AppleJack decided to go to Twilight Sparkles library and ask if she knew anything about what he was.

"So you don't know anything about what he was?" "I'm sorry AppleJack, but there isn't anything about winged creatures that walk on two legs in the library books." AppleJack sighed "He wouldn't even let me thank him for saving the girl's." Twilight looked surprised at that. "What do you mean he wouldn't let you thank him?" "He said he didn't want my thanks, and that the last person that said thanks to him died, and they were his last words." Said AppleJack with a sad look on her face. Twilight looked sympathetically at her friend. "I'm sorry AppleJack, I'm really sorry." AppleJack just shook her head. "There's nothing to be sorry for twi, so why are you sorry?" "I'm sorry that you had to see what he did to the Timber Wolves." AppleJack shook her head again. "Don't worry about that, I'm just worried how the girls are doing." Twilight looked around with wide eyes. "I know what you mean, Just don't let pinkie know that there's somepony new to Equestria and that he flew off towards Canterlot okay?" Then they heard a gasp, Twilight facehoofed "Darn it, I should have known Pinkie would hear that." She looked out her window and saw a streak of pink going towards Canterlot. Xialian didn't have any idea was he was in for.

"So you raise and set the moon every night, and you're sister Princess Celestia raises and sets the sun?"

"That's correct." Luna was explaining how Equestria worked to him, with surprisingly little effort. "I guess I know why I liked you on first sight Luna." "Oh? And why is that Xialian?"  He looked at her with longing in  his eyes. "Because I love the night."

Luna was surprised."You do?!?" "Of course, who wouldn't like the moons soothing light, the shining stars, and the cool breeze it brings?" She had tears in her eyes."Thank you Xialian" "Please don't thank me Luna, the last person who thanked me died after he said it." He had a sad look in his eyes. "Who was he?"

He looked toward the setting sun. "My brother..." Luna was shocked. "I'm so sorry Xialian, I didn't mean t-." "It's fine Luna, it's been five years since then, I've gotten over his loss." "How did he die, if you don't mind me asking?" "Of course not Luna." He unfurled his wings, and started flapping. While hovering there, he beckoned Luna to follow him. "Where are we going?" Luna asked while flying alongside Xialian. "Someplace beautiful." He didn't know why, but he had a sudden urge to head back to where he woke up.

AppleJack just bucked her last apple tree for the day when she heard flapping. Suspecting her best friend RainbowDash she turned to greet her friend. To her surprise and dismay, it wasn't her friend. "Hello AppleJack." Said Xialian as he landed in front of the orange mare. "How are you?" She was surprised to see him here after what happened. "What do you want."

"I wanted to ask if I could stay in the barn until I find out a way to make money." She looked surprised at him. Then she noticed Luna and bowed quickly before standing up and looking angrily at Xialian. "So you think you can just come back, say sorry, and then i'll let you live with me?" "Of course not, I plan to earn my keep with work if's that's alright with you and luna."

"In that case, welcome to the family Xialian." Luna was confused about alot of things at that point in time. "So this is why you brought me with you?" "Yes Luna, it is." He turned and held out his hand to the princess of the night. "It was a pleasure meeting the one behind the beautiful night sky."  She shook his hand. "The pleasure is mine Xialian." "And to answer you're earlier question about how he died, he got possessed forcing me to kill him." "Again my deepest sympathies for you're loss Xialian." "It's fine." She flapped her wings before taking flight. "What was that about?" Asked AppleJack while looking at him questioningly. "Perhaps another time, perhaps another time..." Then out of nowhere Xialian got tackled by a pink blur. Reacting instinctively, he kicked of the assailant and pulled out his sword. He blinked, confused by what just happened. "What the hell just happened?" "Hi i'm PinkiePie and since you're new here i have to throw you a welcome party and i'll invite everypony there's gonna be cake. ice cream, candy, sasparilla, punch, cupcakes, and loads of fun."

"No."

"What?"

"I said no parties, I hate social gatherings." Her hair flattened, while her coat got darker. "But everypony likes parties."

"I don't, I hate being around others, it annoys me and gives me a headache." Unfurling his wings, Xialian flew off to the barn.
