An Angels Descent

After helping Pinkie get back to her old self again, AppleJack went to confront Xialian about why he acted that way.

"Why were you mean ta' Pinkie?!?" AppleJack asked him. He was currently hanging upside-down by using a beam, wings wrapped around his body and face. "She annoyed me, and I wasn't lying about anything I said so leave me alone." AppleJack just stared. "I'm not gonna leave a friend to sulk in his own misery." He fidgeted and revealed his face, he looked conflicted. "Friend?" AppleJack nodded her head. "Yes I think of you as a friend, after-all you saved both mine and Rarity's sisters along with their best friend. And besides, you still haven't met ma' friends who are just itching to meet ya'." AppleJack said slipping back into her southern accent now that she's not as serious as before. "No thanks AppleJack, I would rather just not be social if that's alright with you." Said Xialian covering his face with his wings again.

Deciding it would be impossible to talk him out of the barn. She would just have to bring her friends there to meet Xialian. When she left she saw Xialian pull out a black rectangular shape and start moving his thumb around on it, puling out a pair of white orb looking shapes Xialian proceeded to put them in his ears. Deciding to surprise him with bringing her other friends to meet him, AppleJack exited the barn. After leaving the barn and closing the door she heard what sounded like crying. AppleJack slowly opened the barn door. She saw Xialian sitting on a haystack crying while holding a picture. "Xialian?" There was no response from him at all. She got closer and saw what looked like a pony, but she could see through it, but decided to focus on him at the moment. "Xialian?" She asked again, still nothing. She sat down next to him and put a hoof on his back and rubbed. "Hey what's wrong Sugercube?" He turned his head at looked at her with sad eyes. She saw alot in those silver eyes of his, pain, sadness, grief, sorrow, loss, death, but most noticeable was longing. A longing only love and friendship could cure, which is was she intended to give him willingly. She wrapped him in a hug as he began to tear up again. "It's okay, just let it out, let it all out." Xialian was shocked at the way AppleJack was acting. He felt warmth inside he's only felt when with his brother... He looked at the transparent pony, then it stood on two legs and changed into a human form. He stared, dumbfounded. "Roxas... is that you?" The apparition nodded, then pointed and said "Don't drive the nail that's in you're heart deeper Brother, forgive yourself as father did." "How... how can I possibly forgive myself for killing you!?!" Roxas shook his head then said. "Just let go of you're hate, listen to you're heart, and find love." AppleJack finally finding her voice again simply stated."He already found love, the love of a friend." Xialian stared at Her for awhile before tearing up again and hugging her back. "Thank you AppleJack, and i'm sorry for the way I acted, i'm glad you were the first one I met." She blushed at that."Aw shucks Sugercube, i'm glad I met you too." Roxas looked at them with a smile before putting a fist towards Xialian."One last time brother?" Xialian turned and nodded. "One last time." Their fists connected and Roxas vanished. Xialians arm glowed a fiery orange before he felt intense heat. Xialian broke the hug and fell to the barn floor clutching his arm in agonizing pain. Then the pain vanished, he looked at his arm and saw a orange trail of fire coming from his wrist all the way up to his shoulder. AppleJack had a worried look on her face. "Are you okay?" He looked up at her before standing up and rolling back his sleeve to show her the marking. "I'm more than okay." He held his arm to his chest before saying. "Thank you Roxas, I will use this power to protect others as you did." His hand started to steam before being engulfed in flames. As the flames on his arm began to dance AppleJack stared before asking. "What is that?" The fire went out as the flames stopped moving. "I have wings, my brother had fire, And he gave it to me." He walked to the door before stopping and looking back. "I have a pony to say sorry to, mind leading the way AJ?" She nodded and trotted over to him before he opened the door and opened his wings. "Hop on, You can see alot more from the air." She did as he said climbing on his back, careful not to mess with his wings or sword. "just tell me where she lives and we'll be there in a flash." He said flapping his wings before taking off at blinding speed, only leaving a few black feathers blowing in the wind.
