Love. It's a strange thing isn't it. I think so, and I'm not the only one. You are about to find out who else.

As Rarity walked into the party she noticed something was off. She looked around and saw that every Colt was dancing with a mare. Even Pinkie Pie had a date.,Rarity ran out as fast as she could not wanting to be embarrassed. She knew she had to go find a Colt for her to love. As she ran of she didn't even notice Spike at the door about to ask her to dance.

She dashed to the only place she knew she could find lots of good looking Colts. She looked around trying to pick out the best looking colts to date her. Finally after an hour, she had narrowed it down to five Colts. She demanded all but the five colts to leave. She quickly interviewed the ponies remembering only their names GardenHoof, Thunder Beat, Glistening Gem, Shiny plate, Cookie. But one colt was different from the others, and it was Glistening Gem. He seemed to Rarity like the Colt of her dreams. She eventually decided he was the one. They went to the party together but it didn't end there.

GG and Rarity went on pick nicks every day together out by Mare's lookout. To her it was the most magical experience ever. She loved him and wouldn't let any other pony tell her otherwise. What she didn't know was everyday when she went with Glistening Gem for the pick nick, Spike would sit by the window in Twilight's house and sadly watch her fall in love with him more and more each day.

One day Twilight asked Spike to deliver some books to Apple Jack. He went the long way around town where he saw something odd. It was Glistening Gem talking to a mare, and it wasn't Rarity. He couldn't quite make out what they were saying so he walked over to Apple Jack's, delivered the books, and headed back home. On his way back he got closer to the two talking ponies and this time he heard loud and clear what they were saying.

"You should only have to act in love for another month or so. By then she will be so behind in work I will be the main source of dresses and she will be left with nothing!" said the unknown she pony

Spike gasped. He gasped so loud that the ponies heard him. He turned to run but tripped on a bush, when he got up a sack was put over his head.

When the sack was finally taken off his head he was gagged so he couldn't talk. He was forced to watch through the bushes and see Rarity tell Glistening Gem that she loved him more than anything. Spike watched as Glistening Gem lied and said he felt the same way. He was forced to watch as they kissed. He was forced to watch the only pony he truly loved, be lied to and taken away from him.
