MIDWAY ISLANDS
PACIFIC OCEAN
January 3rd, 1946
T-Minus to phase two of OPERATION: LANDFALL... 30 minutes.

On a bright Friday afternoon, the seas surrounding the main island couldn't be any busier as the entire Seventh Fleet converged onto the Trans-Dimensional Portal located in the heart of the archipelago. The fleet was due for deployment to China until Admiral Nimitz took command of the fleet and prepared all ships for transition to the Equine world.

On the sandy beaches, Princess Celestia stood alone, overlooking the massive fleet as the Pacific waves rolled around her naked hooves. The sight was all too familiar to the Solar Princess, recalling the events when she first saw the Missouri plowing out of the whirlpool before her very eyes. She tried to source the cause of the Whirlpool's formation in the first place, but couldn't get anything... Not even a Trans-Dimensional Wormhole which triggers Celestia's suspicions on what or who was responsible.

"Beautiful sight, isn't?" Her train of though was halted by the voice of Nimitz.

"Yes, it would be, minus the warships." Tia turned to face the Admiral who was standing clear of the crashing waves.

"Now that would be a sight I like to see one day." Nimitz agreed as the Princess approached him.

"Indeed, I can't believe the time has already came for us to return to my homeworld." Tia spoke truthfully.

"Yeah, but this time, we've got the full might of the US backing us up. Next thing we know, this war is over before we even notice it!" Nimitz suggested.

"I hope so, Admiral... I hope so." Tia replied somberly as she looked into the sky, a passing B-17 catches her attention as it thundered overhead towards the main airfield on the other Island.

USS IOWA (BB-61)
T-MINUS TO OPERATION: PONYFALL... 2 minutes.

Having boarded the lead ship of her class, Nimitz had assigned the Iowa and her sisters, including Missouri as the flagships of four separate task forces that the Seventh is divided up into. The Iowa will lead the Seventh's Assault Task Force, which is comprised of; Two other battleships, two aircraft carriers, three heavy cruisers, two light cruisers, and ten destroyers. The New Jersey will lead the Seventh's Carrier Task Force, which is comprised of; Two aircraft carriers, five escort carriers, two heavy cruisers, four light cruisers, and eight destroyers. The Missouri will lead the Seventh's Amphibious Task Force which is comprised of; Three troop transports, six LST's and two LSMR's back by the 112th Airborne. The Wisconsin will the lead the Seventh's Support Task Force which is comprised of; six cargo ships, eight oil tankers, two mobile dry docks and five repair ships.

"Admiral on deck!" Iowa's Commanding Officer, Captain J. L. Holloway Jr. barked as all Senior Officers and Sailors present stood at attention.

"At ease." Nimitz dismissed the others as went back to the respective tasks.

"All ships reported in, ready for Operation: Ponyfall, Sir." Holloway handed Nimitz a clipboard containing a complete list of the ships serving in the Seventh, some have been transferred from other task groups.

"...Good, now we just need the go-ahead from the President." Nimitz checked his mental list.

As the next two minutes went by that felt like an hour, the Iowa's radioman approaches the Admiral. "Sir, message from the President."

"Thank you sailor." Nimitz accepts telegram, opening the folded paper to read.

After a moment of reading, Nimitz places the note down and picks up the MIC.

"Attention all ships of the Seventh Fleet." He pauses and and looks in Celestia's direction, her face mixed with concern and confidence, motioning the Admiral onward. "...Operation Ponyfall is a go! Repeat, we are a go! All ships, prepare to enter the portal."

ATHENS OUTSKIRTS
ILLUSIVE ISLANDS
20 minutes earlier

Having trekked half the main island's length, General Patton stops himself in his tracks as his eyes catches a glimpse of the city's ruined buildings.

"Curious, what do we have here?" Patton spoke to himself, looking around set eyes a small trail leading up and around the city's left side.

Following up the trail a few minutes later while dodging several patrols, Patton comes across a good vantage point of the ruined city. Going into a prone position, he takes out his binoculars and scans the city below. The architectural layout on the city were similar to that of Greek in design, many of the buildings looked like they were abandoned for a thousand years. Though some buildings were occupied by the many beings that he had seen a long the way, most of them were Gorgons. Below him was a structure that had the setup of a German Field Headquarters, several blocks away was a newly built port, containing vast ships that were of German, Japanese and possibly Italian in design.

"Looks like my chances of getting off this rock wasn't so slim after all! But first, I gotta Headquarters to raid."

MANEHATTAN HARBOR
present time

On the Harbor mouth, were the USS Missouri is currently stationed, her guns trained on the open sea for the past several hours as the city's floating fortress, Captain Murray has been hoping Nimitz would return. It's been two months and his ship was low on ammo and was running on reserve fuel. Food levels weren't an issue, but the Equines are having a hard time trying to replicate the oil samples and the large shells the battleship needs to use and operate on.

"Sir, we're picking up a faint signal nearby?" Sheridan announced, followed by a series of hoofsteps from the Elements entering the bridge.

"Stuart! Naval Intelligence says that several ships have jumped out of the portal!" Twilight shouted.

This was the hope Stuart was looking for. "How long ago?"

"About two minutes ago, and there's still ships coming through with some larger versions of those metal birds you guys have." Rainbow exclaimed.

"How big?" Stuart asked, but was interrupted as distant aircraft engines were heard. Very different to that of the fighters salvaged from the Enterprise. Looking out in the distance, were the unmistakable shapes of DC-47's approaching from the north.

Several distant poping noises could be heard from the makeshift airfield setup near the stricken carrier, green smoke slowly rising into the Equestrian sky as the transports immediately changed course for the American airfield, dropping supplies and U.S Paratroopers. Further away, distant small and high caliber gun fire could be heard ringing over the horizon.

"Looks like we're back on track, Sir." Sheridan beamed.

"Maybe... Prepare to send a message to Princess Luna, let her know that American reinforcements have arrived."

"Aye, Captain." Sheridan heads off to relay the Seventh's arrival to Canterlot.

"Suddenly, for a second I thought the next time the enemy shows up, we were gonna have to start throwing rocks at them." Stuart joked.

"It could be worse?" Twilight suggested.

"Agreed."
