The New Pony

The train arrives at the Ponyville station. "Well...here I am...Ponyville" says DJ Wrecking Machine with a neutral sound in his voice. "I hope everypony here will treat me nicely

but first, I need to find somewhere to stay". Machine started walking towards town hall when he got stopped by a young filly, "Hey there mister, wanna buy some apples?"

"Huh? Oh um..." Machine's stomach growls "Yes, please how much is it?" he asks nervously.

"It will be 5 bits" says the filly.

"Alright then, I'll take 3 apples" said Machine as he gave the filly 15 bits.

"Thank you mister, say, you don't look familiar. At least somepony ah have never seen before".

Machine hesitantly answers "I...I'm DJ Wrecking Machine, wh...who are you?"

"Huh? Oh, ah'm sorry where is mah manners...mah name is AppleBloom, nice tah meet yah"

Machine puts a small smile on his face "Soooo, is everypony nice here in Ponyville?"

Applebloom thinks for a second "Well, there are these two fillies that are pretty gosh darn mean, but other than that, everypony ah've talked to is nice...well at least towards me."

Machine nods in understanding, "Ok...umm, is that town hall over there?" pointing his hoof to the tallest building he sees in Ponyville

"Sure is! Let me go get mah older sister Applejack"

Applebloom left Machine waiting for a few minutes. After what felt like an hour, a voice with a Southern drawl snapped him out of his thoughts

"Well howdy there partner, Applebloom said you had a question"

Machine started blushing madly "Ye.....yes umm...um"

"Well partner? Are you ok?" Applejack asked with some concern.

"Umm....ye...yeah....is that town hall o..over there?" as he pointed his hoof towards the same building as from earlier

"Why yes it is, are you looking for a place tah stay?"

Machine nods nervously. "Well, why don't ya stay with us at the farm until ya find a place of yer own" Applejack stated.

"Re.....really? You'll let me stay for a little while?" Machine asked nervously

"Why yes, ah mean ah, don't normally do this for everypony, but you seem nice tah me"

Machine starts blushing harder "O...oh um...o..ok" as AJ started to notice the blush on Machine's face.

"Are you ok sugarcube? Ya seem like yer blushing an awful lot" Applejack asks with some concern.

"Huh? Oh, uum..I'm..I'm not blushing, ma...maybe your blushing" machine said playfully

"What? No ahm not...am ah?" Applebloom looks at her sister's face, "Um no you're not" says the yellow filly. "Why did yah say that ah was blushing?" Applejack says curiously.

"I-I just like to play around sometimes....s...sorry" said Machine a bit more nervous than he was in the first place.

"Oh...umm... well ok then, let me show yah where the barn is" said Applejack as she motioned for Machine to follow her.

"Okay" as Applejack and Machine walk towards the barn, Applejack asks "So, where did you come from if yah don't mind me askin'?"

Machine replies "I'm...I'm from Canterlot".

Applejack looks a bit surprised "Well, why did ya move down here to Ponyville?"

Machine looks at AJ with a concerned look "Well...I...I've always been disrespected in Canterlot ever since i was a colt, and I just couldn't take it anymore. So, I decided to save up enough bits to move to Ponyville. Besides, everypony in Canterlot seem to be more of the uptight type and they are always putting me down for my looks and not for my personality."

Applejack looks at Machine sympathetically, "Oh my ah-ah'm sorry that ah asked" as AJ stared at the ground looking depressed

"Hey, it's ok, you don't have to worry about it. You seem like a very nice mare to talk to" Machine says smiling.

"Ok, umm a-are yah sure that ah'm not bothering you with that?" AJ asks worriedly

"No it's alright. Sometimes I don't like talking about that kind of stuff since, well, I sometimes  get emotional about it" Machine says quietly

"Oh, a-ahm sorry if ah've bothered yah with the questions. Ah'll stop asking if it bothers you" AJ  says sadly.

"No no, it's no problem, just ask me when you want to talk about that type of stuff."

Applejack and Machine finally arrived at the barn "Well partner, this is where ya'll be sleepin'  at. Sorry, it ain't the best place, but ah don't think Granny Smith would like new guests in the house"

"It's ok, at least i got somewhere to stay so i am happy about that" Machine replies with a smile on his face.

Applejack smiles with a light blush and walks towards the house "Applejack wait," AJ looks back, "do you have a blanket I might be able to use?"

"Yeah sure umm...l-let me go get a blanket for ya" replied Applejack as she trotted into the house to get a blanket. In meantime, Machine looked around for a spot in the barn to lay down.
