The New Pony

"Rise and shine Machine! Ah want ya to meet some ponies" Applejack says with a smile.

"Huh? What? Who?" Machine says in a very tired voice.

"I'm gonna introduce ya to mah friends: Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy. Ah think you would like to meet them personally sooo can ya get up please?" AJ says with a little bit of a beg.

"Ok ok" Machine says tiredly as he gets up with hay all over his head.

"Ummm, sugar cube...you kind of got hay on ya" said Applejack as she pointed with her hoof. Machine breathes in then sighs as he notices the hay all over his head.

"Well we better get goin' if you're gonna meet mah friends" she says with a small giggle.

"Ye...yeah we" Machine yawns for a bit "we should get going then."

Applejack and Machine left Sweet Apple Acres to go meet Applejacks's friends.

"Sooo, who will we meet today Applejack? Unless you're going to choose at random" machine asked AJ.

"Well, ah was planning on seeing if Twilight was home...she's one of those ponies you should know and become friends with" said Applejack looking at the stallion.

"Well, here we are, Ponyville's Golden Oaks Library a.k.a. Twi's home" Machine gives AJ a confused look.

"She lives in a tree? That is definitly a different approach for somewhere to live" says Machine still as confused as ever.

"Well Machine, Twilight didn't necessarily have a relatives in Ponyville and she couldn't pay rent for a place here, so Celestia allowed her to live at the library" Applejack said with a smile.

"Oh, I guess that makes sense" replied Machine. Applejack knocked on the door firm enough for it to be heard throughout the library. After a few seconds, the sounds of hoofsteps could be heard approaching the front.

"Hey there Applejack, who's your friend?" asks the purple unicorn.

"Twilight, ah'd like ya to meet DJ Wrecking Machine. He's new here in Ponyville" said Applejack as she presented the stallion to Twilight.

"Yes, if you want to call me by my full name but, I like to be called Machine for the most part" Machine stated bluntly.

"Well hello there Machine, my name is Twilight Sparkle and it's very nice to meet you" said the purple mare with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too, Twilight."

"Hey Twilight, do ya know if Fluttershy is home by any chance?" asked Applejack with a slight amount of hope.

"I believe she is. If not, you should take a look around the market she might be there" replied Twilight.

"Thank ya kindly Twi. Well, we should get going, ah'll see ya around Twi." Applejack and Machine said their goodbyes to Twilight and set off for Fluttershy's cottage.

"So Applejack, is Fluttershy a good pony to be friends with?"

"Yes she is as a matter of fact, all of mah friends are good ponies to know. All of them are either as nice as ah am. Believe me, ah'm the most honest pony you'll ever meet."

"Ok, that's good, I like honesty" replied Machine.

After several minutes of walking, the two ponies arrived at Fluttershy's cottage.

"Wow, this place is beautiful!" Machine exclaimed.

"Yup, this is where Fluttershy lives, nice place huh? Just FYI, she might be kinda timid."

Machine raised an eyebrow in confusion "So in other words are you to saying that Fluttershy is shy? I know it might sound kind of dumb of me to ask but I was just curious."

"Ah dont think its a dumb question" said Applejack with a slight giggle. "Ah think it would be what everypony would ask if they heard her name" Applejack and Machine walked up to the door and the orange mare gave the door several sharp raps.

"I'm kind of nervous meeting your friends to tell you the truth Applejack." AJ looked at the stallion with a surprised look.

"Now why do yah say that Machine?"

"Well the whole, um Canterlot thing" Machine said as he shrank down in fear.

"D'oh Machine, there is nothing to worry about. Like ah said, every friend of mine is either as nice as me or even nicer" said Applejack as she gave Machine a comforting hug. Just then the door opened up a little bit.

"He-hello? Wh-who's there?" asked a small voice.

"Hey there Fluttershy it's me, Applejack" she said happily. "Ah have a new friend I would like for you to meet."

"Oh, umm I-I-I don't know about that Applejack. Y-you know h-how I am w-with meeting new ponies."

"Now Fluttershy, we've talked about this. Besides, he's just as worried about meeting new ponies as well" said Applejack firmly.

"R-really?" replied the soft voice. The door to Fluttershy's cottage opened up and a yellow pegasus walked into the entryway.

"He-hello, my name is Fl-Fluttershy. What's your name?" asked the nervous yellow mare.

"Well, my name is DJ Wrecking Machine, but you can call me Machine" said the stallion with a hidden nervousness. Even though he seemed calm on the outside, he was getting more anxious on the inside. Meeting these new ponies was major unknown in his life. He just wanted to be accepted by them.

"Oh umm, M-Machine, d-do you like a-animals?" asked Fluttershy nervously.

"As a matter of fact I do like some animals" said Machine with a grin.

"Umm, d-do you have a pet? Because I think you would like the choices that I have" said Fluttershy with a small blush of nervousness.

"At the moment, no but I do want one sometime in the future. When I do, I'll definitely stop by your place."

"Ah'm sorry to cut in but Machine, we need to met the rest of mah friends so you can get to know them."

"Oh um, sorry" chuckled machine. "Well, I'll see ya around Fluttershy" said Machine with a smile and then left with AJ to go to another friend's place.

"Hey Machine, do you like sugary foods?" asked Applejack with a curious look on her face.

"Well some foods I like and now that you mention it, I am kind of hungry" said machine.

"Oh I just remembered, I bought 3 apples" said Machine with a smile. Reaching into his saddlebag, Machine pulled out one of the shiny red fruits and bit into the skin.

"What about parties? Do you like them?" Applejack asked hesitantly.

"Well I am a DJ so yeah, you could say that. Unfortunately, I don't have any equipment" Machine said sadly.

"Well, ah know of a music store in the Ponyville plaza. We can go there after we meet this next friend of mine" said Applejack with a big smile on her face. "Ah believe you may like this next friend of mine. She is always hyper and is absolutely in love with parties."

Ah feel as if Machine is starting to warm up to me and mah friends, thought Applejack as she and Machine arrived at Sugarcube Corner. Rather than knocking, Applejack decided to shout for the party mare "HEY PINKIE, YA HOME?" All of a sudden, a pink and excited pony popped up from inside the store.

"I'm here AJ, I'm always here. Ooooo, who is this new pony? I've never seen him before and I know everypony! Who's this?!"

"I'm DJ Wrecking Machine, but you can call me Machine for a short." replied the stallion excitedly.

"It's very nice to meet you Machine! I'm Pinkie Pie, the ultimate party pony!" exclaimed Pinkie  with a sugary type of voice.

"That's what Applejack here told me. She is a very nice and awesome friend you got here." Applejack turned her head in an effort to hide the blush on her cheeks.

"Well, I would love to chit chat, but time is candy and I need to continue baking super sweet sweets" said Pinkie excitedly.

"Well ok then, we'll leave you to continue baking" replied Machine.

"Okie Dokie Lokie" said Pinkie as she gave Machine a hug. With that, the pink mare rushed back into the kitchen to continue making pastry.

"Hey Applejack, where is this music store at?" asked Machine.

"Here, ah'll show yah where it's at" replied Applejack with a warm smile.

"Ok, you go ahead and I'll follow you. I can get the DJ equipment that I need there. After that, we should head back to the barn, it's kind of getting dark" said Machine.

"Alrighty then, that seems fair enough tah me" says Applejack. With that, the two of them made way for the plaza.
