The Comet Stallion

Chapter 1: No Memory

There was a giant explosion deep in the Everfree Forest. A few minutes after the explosion, a stallion climbed up out of the crater, flames covering his body. There were scars on his body, which had healed within minutes. His black mane and tail was flowing about in the air. His horn was red hot from the explosion, and his wings were completely burned away by the flames. He felt weak, but started walking about the forest. The further he walked, the weaker he felt. The power he had was seeping from him with every step.

He started to feel woozy, and it progressed in every step he took. He got out into an open area in the forest. He looked up at the sky, and then fell to the ground flat. His vision grew dark as he breathed last few breaths. As he breath his last one what looked like a purple baby dragon appeared before him.

"Over here! I think he's still alive."

His eyes closed, and everything was then silent. For him it wasn't a normal sleep. It seemed as though it was forever, forever in darkness. But then a flash of light beamed through the darkness, and it grew brighter and brighter.

When he opened his eyes, he was in a white room with plain white walls. He was covered in a white blanket with a mask over his muzzle. He looked up at the lights, but they were bright and started to burn his eyes. He then turned to his side, and saw a table with surgical tools on it. But what caught his eye was the knife that was on the table for there was blood along the blade of the knife.

His eyes were focused on that knife. He quickly removed the covers and got up off the table. He grabbed up the  knife in his mouth and dashed through the double doors. Once through the doors, the stallion stood in the hallway. He looked down both ways, but nopony was in sight. The stallion turned left and rushed down the hall watching the doors on either side of the hall, as he reached the end, he started to feel dizzy. The knife dropped from his mouth, and everything around him started spinning. Then, he was again in complete darkness.

After a while of sleeping, he got up once more. He was tucked in a bed. It was still another plain white room, but this time there wasn't any table next to him. He was near an open window on the right side of his bed. He squinted as the sun had shined down on him, and felt the cool breeze flow across his face. The stallion tried getting up from the bed, but felt strapped to it upon making the attempt to move. He turned to his left and stared at the six mares standing in the room. Out of the group, a purple unicorn with an indigo mane and tail walked over to him and introduced herself.

"Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle. What's yours?"

The stallion gazed at her while trying to remember his name. He then averted his eyes up at the ceiling wondering if he was ever given a name.

"Oooh kay, so do you remember how you got here?"

The stallion couldn't seem to recall anything.

                "No. My name is. Flare."

Then he closed his eyes and slept once more...
