"GET YOUR FAT PLOT OUT OF BED!"
Blueberry, half-asleep and half-awake, jerked her head up at the loud voice. Her surprised emotion faded into an aggressive frown as she saw her father holding a bottle of beer. Hoping he wasn't going to release a long useless speech of how beer was created, she rolled her eyes and grunted.
"I'm awa-"
"I SSSAID W-WAKE UP!"
"....I said I was awa-"
"WAKE UP RIGHT NOW BEFORE I THROW THIS BOTTLE AT YOU!"
"I SAID I'M AWAKE!"
Her father's knees wobbled and he collapsed on the floor. Blueberry stood up out of bed and walked over her father, proceeding to the bathroom to get ready. Afterwards, she came out of the bathroom and jumped to find her father gone. Looking around franticly, she skipped out of the hallway and into the large living room. She saw her brother, texting his girlfriend, smile darkly as he looked up from his phone.
"Hey sis, how was father today?" He asked, still texting and darting his eyes up and down to text and speak at the same time.
"Oh, I don't know Steve, where did he go?" She asked, her eyes running around the living room.
Steve looked up at his sister, turning off his phone and giving her a disappointed look.
"You lost him? Again? That's been like the five-millionth time in one week, Blues! What would Mom say?"
Blueberry looked down and saw a puddle beneath her feet, leading to the parent's bedroom. Pulling her hair back into a ponytail, she did her best impression of her mother.
"Steve, where did your father go? Oh, he's lost?" said Blueberry, then turning to her natural scratchy voice, "GO LOOK IN THE FREAKING BEDROOM."
Steve looked at where she was pointing and saw she was in an angry mood. Blowing his hair out of his face, his scarlet eyes turned large as he stood up, pulled his head back, and let out a moan. Steve reached out his hoof towards the room.
"Oooh, it's too far, gaah, ooh, eeh, I can't reach it." said Steve, making fake groans and acting like he was sweating and trying to grab something. Blueberry saw his lazy movements and grabbed him by the hoof and swung him across the tiled floor towards the bedroom.
"GO GET HIM."
He looked at her before standing up and and walking inside. Opening the door, he stood there in total relief to find his father flying around the room unstably with an open bottle of booze in his hoof. Steve ducked from the alcoholic beverage almost spraying his face and flew upwards to grab his arm. Instead, though, he grabbed the father by the leg by accident and the dad kicked him. Steve ignored this trick and dragged him out the door.
As Blueberry watched him carry her Dad's heavy body into the living room, She helped him and held the body up with her hooves and flew Dad to the kitchen by plopping him onto the floor. The mother turned around from baking pancakes and saw her husband laying on the floor drunk. She sighed.
"I'll take care of him, you keep an eye on the pancakes." She said, carrying the father into her arms like a baby and set him down on the bed. She flew back and noticed her children, both Blueberry and Steve, had gone out the door to school.
She giggled.
"Kids these days..." her mother said before looking at the viewer, smiling, and then fading away as her particles completely disappeared.

Blueberry, both in tears and in shock, turned over to the door.

It was a dream. Her drunken father wasn't there to yell at her. She didn't smell any pancakes baking. She didn't hear her brother texting. Blueberry certainly didn't hear anything in the house except her clock, ticking away the wasted seconds as she stood there, awestruck. She pulled her mane into her view. It wasn't hot pink as her natural color anymore, it was pitch black, Rainbow Dash style, with her lower mane drooping around her neck looking like Twilight's mane and the end and points were bloodred.
She hadn't been with her parents in what seemed like ages. Looking like a mess, she looked out the window, still in bed, and sighed. Her parents are gone. Blueberry shifted her sight towards her dresser. There was a painting of her parents standing with her at the Cloudsdale Young Flyer's competition, with a gold medal in her hoof smiling at the viewer.
So it was true...what she just saw was a flashback of the day her father died in a car crash. Sighing, she got out of bed and wiped the tears off her eyes, walking down the stairs before kissing a photo on the door that said Sleep well, dear parents.
