“It’ll be our secret." He whispered in my ear. I hesitated. My best friend, Moonlight Shine, used to always say that all the time.
She, sadly died.
I was being home-schooled for junior high. She, however, was not. which really sucked
One day, she sent me a note by dragon fire. It said Moonlight Shine was sick. She had IBD, a digestive system disease. I wanted to visit her but the doctors wouldn't let me.
The paramedics, who were in charge of Moonlight Shine's medicine over dosed her. She took too much medicine and she died. The Paramedics did not know and neither did the doctor. He was not able to get to her in time.
I feel my tears down my cheek, and I remember,
When I had Hay Fever, she climbed up the Family tree, which is right by my bedroom window, just to give me a get-well card. “It'll be our secret." She told me when a thick branch fell because she was too heavy. It landed in the yard with a huge crash. Then she disappeared.
"It'll be our secret," when she used her mom's expensive beads to make me a friendship necklace. She was not supposed to, of course. Her mom did find out. (After all, I did wear it every day,) But she wasn't mad. She laughed, but Moonlight Shine did end up buying her new ones. I snuck my friend some of my saved up bits. She winked at me and said, "It'll be our secret."
I tried to hold back tears as I thought of these memories. I heard a voice. It was in my head but it sounded like
Moonlight shine’s, "Don't trust him!"
He was now uncomfortably close to my body.
I did not like how he did that. I stared at the pills that fell out of my purse. Moonlight Shine’s death pills that I stole. My parents would be furious if they found out. Then, I realized something. I do not need him. I was with him for some while and I never noticed, that all that time, I was not actually happy. I was experiencing fake happiness. I do not need Him to keep my pills a secret. He would just tell who ever would listen, that I stole pills.
I also did not need Moonlight Shine to keep these secrets. I could have told on her all along. I could tell them as soon as they happened, but I did not. Because she was my friend and he is no friend.
"Lavender Dream?" He whispered in my ear.
His image ran through my head. Black lightning mane and a light blue coat. However, he did not seem like the handsome person I saw two months before Moonlight Shine's death. He looked like an evil dark crone.
Oh, now I am showing him trouble. "No," I said in a firm voice
"What?!" He responded "Who do you think yo-"
"NO!" I cut him off. "I don't need you and I never will. The only thing you've done for me is make me look like a whore."
"Why you little son of a-"
"NO!" I cut him off again. "I don't need you. You BITCH!" I gripped my handbag with my magic and walked away. I left him, alone in the rain. With Moonlight Shine's death pills.
The Friendship According to Moonlight Shine
I don't remember much of Lavender Dream. I'm gone now anyway. I frolic in the clouds, waiting for Lavender to hopefully find me some day. But I know that will be years from now. I might not recognize her when she dies anyway.
We met in filly-garten, we kind of clicked, but I'm not one for all that sappy junk.
I had plans, she wanted to stay in Pony ville. I don't know. She NEVER traveled out of her comfort zone (And FYI don't ever try to fly her on your back. A she’s HEAVY and B she’s scared of heights. We were truly friends, even if we didn't look like it. I might have knocked down a heavy branch in her yard, stole my mom's expensive beads just to make her a necklace. The thing is, I always said it would be our secret. I said it a lot, when I did something I wasn't supposed to do, or we might get in trouble for it.
Until Lavender started making Goo-Goo eyes at Him. He had a black mane that looked like lighting and a light blue coat. I DID NOT TRUST HIM!! But did she listen? Nooo. She said "He's my soul mate I know so, Mooney,"
Mooney. That's my nickname. Dad and Lavender used to call me that. Like I said, used to. As much as I hated it, they were the only ones allowed to call me that. Lavender was hooked onto it when we had a sleepover and dad called me Mooney.
I was at the hospital I sent a fire message to Lavender, I apparently had IBD my small intestine doesn't work the way it's supposed to. I was scared I wanted Lavender there, but only mom and dad were there. The hospital smelled. Putrid. Like that powder your mom puts in water to make your bones strong. Well, I felt as if I needed to throw up
Half of a week later, I was given medicine. It seemed like an awful lot of just one type of pill to me, but the nurses kept assuring me. I didn't trust them. My thoughts were mostly swirled with where is Lavender Dream?? She never came. I wish I could see her face now. But I only have my memory to help me and the view of the chibi ponies so high out of my reach. Oh how I wish I could run along with them, and pull pranks on unsuspecting ponies. Instead of being on this STUPID cloud that's supposed to be Heaven. But I know Luna and Celestia's parents. They have me sit in their castle and tell them how well their daughters are doing, Ruling over us. But I don't know much except that Princess Celestia comes to PonyVille loads of times for this one no-body, Twilight Sparkle. BUT I DON'T CARE. I have pestered them many times to go see Lavender Dream. But the answer is always no. I don't understand and I’m also told to be patient. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?!?! I don't know. But some day, I'll go and see Lavender. Whether they let me or *not*.
