It has been at least three days since you have visited Luna and for good reason. You can't see why anypony would like you let alone have the need to kiss you.

High School Year

All throughout High school for The magically gifted you have been the weird one at the back of class, just minding your own business. All of your classmates never wanted to see what you are good at, they just thought you were a freak since you were a earth pony in a magic school, even the teachers tried to avoid when possible. And then she came, when you first saw her you couldn't believe your eyes, Princess Luna was now going to your school. She was popular the moment she set hoof in there, most ponies thought she was how did they put it? "The bee's knee's"? Most welcomed her into their cliques others wanted nothing to do with her, wanting a reason why one of the Royal family was going to a school of such low standards, not the lowest, but still below what she should be going to.

The funniest part about this was that she had all of your classes, and never really noticed you. Probably because you were the first one in and the last one out, never getting into any trouble, never getting called on, and never speaking to anyone when you didn't need to.

And that's when it happened, just another regular day at school, you're trotting down the hall to your first class of the day, you get to the class and freeze in the doorway, sitting in her seat is Princess Luna. This is very unnatural for you, always being the first in the class was regular but to have seen someone else in their seat was a shock, and some how the universe thought it would be funny to put your crush right next to you. And oh, was she beautiful, that flowing mane, and those eyes, you could get lost in either of them.

You snap out of your trance and proceed to your usual seat. You sit down next to her, and her perfume assualts you with the most wonderous of smells, Blueberries.

Luna notices you sitting down next to her and remembers that you sit there all the time. She just sits there looking at you, and finally she speaks, "Hi" it's all she says And you respond with a nod and a wave of the hoof.

"I'm Luna" She says offering a hoof.

You hesitate, wondering if something is going to happen, but ultimately you extend your hoof and shake saying, "I'm Night Music" In a quiet manor, not used to talking to ponies.

"How come you never talk to anyone? All these classes you have to have one friend to talk to."

You cringe slightly at the thought of how these ponies treat you. You quickly respond, "no, no friends, no one to talk to."

She notices your face contort into more of a frown, "No one?" She asks.

You shake your head violently and respond, "Not like I would want to be any of these ponies friends."

She's a bit taken back by your statement, "Well why not?"

"Look at me! no pupils, no horn, I'm an earth pony in a School for magic so people see me as a freak somehow, so they are all rude and hateful towards me, even the teachers don't like me" You say in exasperation.

"I don't see anything wrong with you, you look really cool to me." She said smiling.

"I do?" You ask, befuddled while raising an eyebrow.

She giggles a bit at your confusion, "Yes you do."

This was good news, the mare you like thinks you look pretty cool.

"What can you do, by the way? If you mind me asking."

"Maybe later, class is going to start soon." You say happy knowing you had made something close to a friend.

Everyday from then you had talked to her before class had started. You two had become good friends Some times she had offered you to come by her home, but out of nervousness you said you had to do something at home, when all you did really was make music and defend your home from the creatures of the Everfree forest.

One day when you were walking home from school, Luna walks up next to you and you being startled, you scream.

"Geez, I think I went deaf, is that the loudest you can scream?" She says jokingly

"Lu-Luna you almost gave me a heart attack, and no that's not the loudest" You said a bit shaken.

"Wow, and why are you heading towards the Everfree? aren't you heading home?" She asks a bit confused.

"I am heading home, I live in the Everfree Forest. And why are you following me? aren't YOU supposed to be heading home? Back to the castle?" You retorted.

"touché" She says, "But since you never come over to my place I thought I would go over to yours and see what you have been doing." She says with a big smile on her face.

You blush a bit, you have never had anyone to your house, let alone a mare. And Luna sees your blush and says with a sultry tone, "Maybe you can show me what you can do". That does the trick and your face gets even more red than a tomato. Luna laughs at this, "I'm just joking, I'm joking. Man, have you never been talked to by a mare?"

"Ahem" You cough at the statement.

"oh yeah, sorry" She chuckles awkwardly.

Akward moment out the way you two talk some more.

"Well here we are, home sweet home" You say extending a hoof towards your home. It wasn't much from the outside.

"Not bad, feels homey, cozy in a way." She says slanting her head.

"Come on in" You say extending a hoof to Luna

Her eyes get assaulted with Technology and instruments of every size.

"Do you play all of these?!" She asked shocked by how many instruments were around the room.

"Yes, That's why I named myself Night Music after all." You said with a great smirk on your face.

"Wh- wait you named yourself? didn't your parents name you?" She asked.

"Well yes and no, see I have no biological parents, I was born out of sound itself when harmonious music was made, again hence the name 'Night' Music. How can I have a body you ask? Well I do and don't while my body isn't purely solid I'm made up of pure sound creating a structure." Again you smirk but this time out of wittiness.

"Wow, I was going to say that you were 20% cooler since you played all these instruments but now, you're like 100% cooler." She practically shouted.

"Heh, thanks" You say while rubbing the back of your head.

"Can you play me a song? If you don't mind" She asked rubbing her forehoof with a hoof.

"Sure, let me get ready."
