Ditzy shot up in her bed as the sound of screaming filled the house.  She ripped off her covers, running out of the room.  She ran into the wall on her way out due to the lack of light and her poor eyesight.

She finally reached her daughter, Dinky's room.  The small unicorn filly was flailing around her bed, her eyes scrunched tight.  Her screaming made Ditzy flatten her ears at the screeching volume.

Ditzy sat down on the edge of the bed and brought her daughter into a warm embrace, whispering soothing words into her ear in an attempt to calm her down fully.  After a few minutes, Dinky's screaming became quiet sobs as the filly nuzzled into her mother's breast in an attempt to expel the nightmares.

"Silent Hill again?" asked Ditzy, running her hand through her daughters go laden mane.  She nodded slowly, confirming her fears.  She scooped her up into her arms.  She took the crying filly out of her room and took her into her own.

Setting down her daughter, she made sure Dinky was sitting comfortably and was once again calm.  She turned on the small night light next to the bed and climbed in next to her daughter. She kissed her own the forehead and switched off the lamp.  Soon, sleep took the two into its embrace.

"I seriously have no clue what the buck I should do." said Ditzy as she flew next to Rainbow Dash. Her and the cyan are had been together the past few months though they still had to tell Dinky.

Rainbow Dash had finished her cloud clearing early and decided to follow the mailmare as she did her rounds.

"How long has she had these?" asked Rainbow.  Ditzy sighed and shook her head.

"About six months.  They are starting to become every night and it doesn't matter if she sleeps alone or with me." said the mare as she pulled an envelope out of her sack and slid it into the awaiting mail box.

"Not much I can think of, Derpy." said Dash, using Ditzy's nickname.  "You could try driving to the town." she suggested.  Derpy raised an eyebrow at her.  "Well, you could just go there and see if it will help stop the nightmares or see if you can figureout what is causing them."

"Awesome, beautiful, and smart." said Ditzy with a smirk.  She leaned forward and placed a kiss on the blushing mare's lips.  Rainbow's blush deepened and he smiled stupidly as she scratched behind her head, causing Ditzy to giggle.  "Point proven."

"Hey, don't get to thankful until this plan works." said Rainbow, punching her arm playfully.  Derpy punched back and reached into her bag to find it empty.

"Well, I'm done.  I'm going to go head on home and prepare for the trip." said Derpy,   removing her bag and holding it in her hand.  She leaned forward and gave her marefriend a quick peck on the forehead.  "Later, beautiful." Derpy flew off towards the post office to drop off her bag before stopping by at the library to find a map to Silent Hill.

"Oh, good morning Derpy, but we already got our mail." said Spike.  Ditzy raised an eyebrow until she looked down and realized she was still wearing her mail uniform.  Her hand was placed firmly on her face in a perfect face palm.

"No, I'm just here for a road map.  I got off a few minutes ago." said Ditzy, walking past the drake.

"Alright.  The maps should be over in that section.  You have a certain area in mind?" asked Spike, walking her over to said section.

"Yeah.  Silent Hill." she said, her one somewhat focused eye looking over the shelves as the other looked off in the other direction like normal.  Spike raised an eyebrow at her.

"Silent Hill?  That place has been abandoned for twenty years.  Why go there?" he asked as he searched the shelves for map to said town.  He found the map off to the far side and pulled it down.  He opened it to make sure it was the right one and tossed it to the grey Pegasus.  Derpy fumbled with it until she got a good grip on it.

"Kinda of a personal matter I want to fix up." she replied, folding the map and slipping it into her back pocket.  "Just a quick trip to try and fix all this then I will be back and things will be in somewhat resemblance of normal." she said, walking out the door.  "See ya, Spike!"

"See ya, Derpy!" he called out.  The door closed behind her as a finishing statement.  "Hey Twi!  What do we have on Silent Hill?"

Derpy packed the small backpack full of a few essentials.  She threw in a small first aid, a flash light, and few extra shirts.  Once she was finished, she sat down and rubbed her temples.

She opened her drawer and pulled out tan cargo pants and a faded grey tank top. She then opened her closet and pulled out a brown jacket.  She slipped her wallet into her back pocket and put the map into her jacket.

She grabbed her backpack and the one she packed for Dinky and placed them into the backseat of her truck.  She got into the front seat and slid the key into the ignition.  The engine whined as she turned the key until kicking to life.  She stepped on the clutch and brought into the first gear before pulling out into the street.

She stuck to the roads on the outside of town to avoid traffic and made it to the school house just as school was starting to get out.  She parked the pickup and waited for her daughter to walk out.

Once she saw Dinky, she gave the horn two quick honks, letting her know she was there.  Dinky looked towards the noise and waved to the three CMC she was with before running to the truck.

"Hey mom!" said Dinky cheerfully as she got into the backseat.  "Where are we going?" she asked, clipping in her seatbelt.  Derpy stepped on the clutch and brought the truck back into first gear and took off down the road.

"We are going to go to that town you're always talking about, muffin." she said, smiling into the rear view mirror so it was seen by the filly in the back.  Dinky shifted a bit.

          "Why are we going, momma?"

"So we can try and figure out why you are having those nightmares and stop 'em."  The vehicle slowed slightly as Derpy went up a gear as the left town limits and down the highway.

Dinky pulled out her small coloring book and started to draw, busying herself for the drive ahead of them.  Derpy turned on the radio to one of the local station.  She sighed and kept her eye focused on the road.

The sun had fallen as Ditzy drove along the cliff side. Dinky sat asleep in the backseat.  Ditzy made sure to turn down the radio enough that it did not disturb her sleeping daughter.

She yawned slightly from exhaustion.  She knew she was only a few miles away from the town but she wanted to stop for the night at the next town, finding it hard to keep going.

Static and a piercing screech emitted from the radio.  Ditzy's ears splayed back in annoyance.  She turned the tuning dial but got the same result.  She ended up turning it off completely.  She sighed in relief as the sound stopped.  She turned her attention to the road long enough to see someone standing in the middle of the road.

She swore and swerved, trying to avoid the figure. She  turned on the wheel to try to regain some semblance of control before she ran into a tree, knocking her unconscious.

She awoke a few hours later, her head pounding from the impact of the steering wheel.  She groaned as she rubbed a sore spot.  She pulled her hand away and was relieved that she wasn't bleeding.

She turned and saw that the passenger door was open wide.  Ditzy whipped around to find the backseat empty.

"Dinky!" she shouted, searching where she could from the driver's seat.  She grabbed her backpack and got out of the truck.  "Dinky!"  She ran forward, trying to locate her missing daughter.

A thick fog had fallen over the area, making it somewhat harder for her to see where she was going.  She scanned the area around her another time before shouting out Dinky's name as loud as she possibly could.

She stopped in front of a faded sign, the lights on the top no longer working.  The sign read 'Welcome to Silent Hill.'
