There and back again.

                                                   Chapter one

Twilight skimmed over a few page’s in the spell book that the princess had sent her.  Her eyes darting from word to word trying to memorize star swirl’s advanced spell to confirm his personal notes were accurate with those of star swirl’s. She turned the page’s again to look for the reversed spell just in case if it go wrong. She kept double checking for any mistakes but her eyes couldn't  find any. She wrote some notes to check the book one more time for later sticking it into the book. With a satisfactory sign she triple checked her notes and ,once she was satisfied, closed the old tome. she shrugged, she had ignored saving it for after she performed the spell. Once she had looked over it one more time, she closed the book, nodding in approval. Standing up, she bent her legs and back, stretching out a few muscle and ignoring the sound of her popping bones. She would never admit it, but she knew Rainbow was right about her sitting in one place for too long, and her sore body did an excellent job of reminding the unicorn of her mare friends warning.

She looked over to the where the bathroom still seeing it was occupied. "What is taking that mare so long. I swear, sometimes I feel like I’m with Rarity.” The purple unicorn started up the stairs to tell rainbow to hurry up or she was going to be late for work again when she heard singing coming from the bathroom; Rainbow’s terrible, terrible singing. With an annoyed groan she levitated a pillow and held it to her head to prevent from hearing anymore. as she retreated back down the stairs.

After entering the kitchen she spotted the flowers that Dash had gotten her last night, a dozen the finest roses one can get, each beautifully cut and arranged in a crystal vase.

Seeing the perfect opportunity to test out her new Twilight let her mind clear of everything until only the flower remained. her horn started to glow, with one last breath.

“Hey, Twilight!” Twilight jumped in fright as Rainbow Dash jumped on her back causing her spell to miss its intended target, the beam of magic bounced from surface to surface a few times before it reflected  off the vase striking both ponies sending them to the ground.

“Oh man, what was that?” Rainbow shook her head, Even My feathers feel fuzzy. What gives! I only wanted to give you a kiss.” The Pegasus complained as she got back to her hooves.

“Rainbow!” Twilight shot to her hooves and started examining her mar friend for any anomalies. How do you feel? any pain? Nauseous? Itchy? Quick how many feathers do you see?” Twilight helped her right  wing out so Dash could see.”  she asked as she grabbed every part of the flier, checking for damage.

“I’m fine, you hit me with stronger spells then that bef..”

Twilight silenced her with a hoof  over her mouth. “Dash, this is serious, answer the questions.”

With a roll of her eyes Rainbow pulled the hoof away before taking a deep breath. “I feel fine, no I am not in any kind of pain at all. No, I am not nauseous. No I am not itchy and I see all 45 of your feathers from the first Tertials to the tenth Primary. And all forty seven coverts. Which, I might add, are not preening properly.

“Good  that means the spell didn't work.” Twilight said letting out a breath of relief before her eyes snapped wide again. “Unless its affecting me! Do I look any smaller to you?”

By this point Rainbow Dash was getting more than a little irritated and was trying to get through  to the purple Alicorn but it was not going well.“ Twi.”

“Or maybe  I’m shrinking at rapid rate.”

“Twilight…”

“ I could be getting younger as I speak. what if I messed the spell up?”

“Twilight.” Dash said louder.

“What if I reversed the spell and I am getting older!”

“TWILIGHT SPARKLE!

The shout echoed off the walls of the library causing the librarian the stop her rambling to send her mare friend the most angry look she could muster  “Did you… You can't yell in the library, its… no its just, just no.”

   “Yeah yeah I remember the rule book. 247 ways to have fun in the library.” Dash spoke dismissively  as she walked around the other mare while ignoring the angry looks . “I was thinking I’d take you out tonight,”

“Rainbow! You half scare me to death, then yell in my library and then you ask me out to dinner?”

“Pretty much.” Rainbow nodded before nuzzling her cheek to Twilight. “I was just thinking, you’ve been working really hard lately Twi.” Dash kissed her cheek “ So I want to take you out, give you a little break and then maybe some fun later.” The Pegasus finished with a surly voice.

The Princess of Magic stared blankly at Rainbow, but shook the confusion off. Then walked to the door where Rainbow put a wing over her. “You know you're the only one that can get me away from my research.”

Just as they were about to leave Twilight stopped Rainbow with a hoof which made her stare blankly at her mare friend. “What about Spike?”

Rainbow face hoofed. “Spike is perfectly capable of taking care of himself Twi, I mean you leave him alone all the time, when you have your field research, and I seen him with a copy of play stallion. so chances are he knows a thing or two about sex.”

Twilight opened her mouth the speak but stopped dead in her track. “He has what!” Her eye were wide in both rage and panic and she spun around to change up the stairs when Rainbow flew ahead. “ chillax, he’s a growing kid. I would be more worried if he would be entered at this point.”

“But he's just a baby dragon! he doesn't need to know what a mare’s pussy looks like.” Twilight snapped is a harsh whisper.

” Rainbow just rolled her eyes. “Don’t worry I’m sure he’ll be fine. Just relax, and go out with me.”

Twilight sighed in defeat. She had to admit Rainbow was right.  “Okay, but I am giving him the sex talk later and you are going to answer all his questions.” she finishes with a smirk as she walked past her lovers stunned face.

Rainbow turned tail and ran out the door after Twilight. “But why! You’re his mom, why should I do it!”

“Because, for one thing, you did not take it away from him, and second, If you don't, you are sleeping in your own bed tonight.”

“Twiiiiii!!!!!!” Shouted the distressed flier.

They arrived back in the library an hour’s later. Because some of the other Pegasus on the weather team messed up, Pony ville was hit with a heavy flash rain that put a damper on many residents. Despite the rain, however, and Rainbow’s lack to not talk with her mouth full, the date had been a big success in Twilight’s book.

“You know, Its funny how fast you can haul flank.” Rainbow joked as she was drying off.

Twilight let out a loud yawn. “Will I love the rain, just hate being in it. Thanks for the date, Rainbow, I had a really good time.” Walking over she leaned in and gave her mare friend a soft kiss on the cheek.

“Nothing too-.” Rainbow yawned.  “Too good for my mare. Man, why am I so tired all of the sudden?”

“I know the feeling, maybe the run was more than I thought it… Rainbow?” Twilight stopped and looked to the swaying Pegasus.

“Twi, My head feels funnnn.” Rainbow never finished as she passed out and fell to the ground.

Twlight was by right her side the same moment and caught her head with her wings. “Rainbow! Rainbow sa...say someth…”
