There And Back Again Repost edited

The birds chirped happily as Celestia’s sun slowly made its way over the horizon. The light stretched out over the hills, the forests and into the windows of sleeping ponies, whether they wanted it to or not. One such pony had been facing the window when the sun felt the need to ruin her fun in dream land. She tried to bury her face into the pillow and even tried to hide under it but it was no use, she was awake now.

“Twilight… what did I say about leaving the curtains open?” Dash groaned.

“Hmmmm, if I shut them you would sleep in all day. And you have that fog you need to prep for tonight.” Answered Twilight in a squeaky voice.

With a chuckle Dash rolled over and wrapped her legs around her marefriend, hugging her back. “You sound cute when you're half asleep.”

“Did you just use the word cute? Is the Rainbow Dash getting soft?”

“I-ummm it was just… but...” Rainbow tried thinking of something to say but her sleep-filled brain could only think of one thing. “Shut up.” Leaning over she kissed Twilight on the neck and moved to get out of bed, but she misstepped and fell on the floor with a dull thud. “Dumb bed.” Getting up she made her way to the bathroom for a shower.

Frowning at the lost of contact, Twilight too moved to get out of bed only to follow her lover’s example and fell face first onto the floor. “What’s going on?” she looked up at her bed and that was when she noticed it. It was much larger than it should have been, in fact her whole room was. It was then the thoughts of the day before came flooding back and whispered. “Oh no...”

“HAAAAAAAA!”  Dash came charging out of the bathroom looking terrified. And much, much smaller. “Twilight I shrank! What’s going o….” her voice died in her throat when she saw her friend.

Both Twilight and rainbow stared at one another with shock and fear. It was the spell! “My, voice!” “Your voice!”  They both shouted in unison, before they both zipped off to the bathroom and stared at their reflections. Staring back at them were two cute little fillies. One Pegasus with stubby little wings and a mane that looked like a rainbow colored dishrag. The other was a shrimpy unicorn whose horn barely peeked out of her mane and her wings were equally stubby as the Pegasus’.

“No-no-no-no-no” Twilight started spinning around in panic. “The spell it must have had a delayed effect, but it didn't say anything about it taking eight hours. Maybe I misread it or what if it was incomplete like Starswirl’s spell, and if that is the case; why didn't Celestia’s message tell me in the first place! Oh no, what if she is mad at me and wants to punish me, what could I have done wrong to warrant her wrath? Maybe she was unhappy with the new tax law I proposed, or it could have been the revision curriculum the schools need to follow, Or it might have been the-”

During twilights panicked ranting,  Dash was still shocked, and as she looked herself over she noticed another change. “Ah man, My Cutie Mark is gone too.” she said dejectedly.

“But if I had agreed and let them build the dam, the Griffins would have to stopped the import of peanuts, and that would have raised the price on peanut butter, and if that happened Trixie would have- wait what?” Twilight rant was cut short as she looked at Dashes flank then her own, Her cutie mark was gone as well!

“Spike, we need you to take a letter now!!” They shouted in unison.

Spike quickly ran to the rescued. “I'm here Twi-,”

Seeing both the elements of harmony as fillies made Spike burst out in a laughing fit.

“THIS ISN'T FUNNY SPIKE!” Twilight shouted in her baby voice, her cheek red as an apple.

Spike stopped a moment, his eyes filled with tears from the laughter. Hearing Twilight shouting in anger, with a baby voice, made him laughed even harder than before. How Twilight shouted with a baby voice made Rainbow chuckle a little.

Minutes passed, Spike held in his laughter holding his sides from the pain. “I'm sorry, but you sounded very-”

“THIS ISN'T FUNNY!” Twilight whined, Spike almost started laughing again, but he held it in.

“Spike, take a letter to the Princess.”

Spike pulled out a quill and parchment ready to write every word Twilight said.

“Dear Princess Celestia

The new Starswirl the Bearded spell book you gave me, I loved it and the spells were very hard to perform, but I did it. But I regret to inform you one of the spells has gone wrong and now me and Rainbow are fillies! Please Princess I need your help.

Your faithful student,

Twilight Sparkle.”

Once finishing the letter Spike sent it to Canterlot with his fire.

As quickly as Spike sent the letter, an aura of fire travel back into the library; revealing a parchment.

“That was fast,” Rainbow said.

“I hope she found a way to reverse this spell,”

Twilight began reading the letter out aloud.

“Dear Twilight,

I feared this might happen. As I regret to inform you Starswirl never made a reversed spell. But don't worry my student, me and my sister, Luna, are trying to create a herb to bloom/finish researching the spell

as we speak. In the mean time ,to prevent suspicion, I'll enroll you both in Ponyville’s middle school as new ponies who just came into town. Good luck, my faithful student.

Your mentor, Princess Celestia.”

“MIDDLE SCHOOL?!”
