Cloudsdale, the Untold Story

Flight Camp Cabin, 10:35 A.M., June 9th, 2006, 5 years ago

“Oh come on Rainbow Crash, you’ll never be the best flier in Cloudsdale. You’re too weak.”

“Hey Kevin, if you’re gonna make fun of her then you’re gonna have to deal with me first.”

“Oh yeah, what are you gonna do about it?”

He charged flames on his horn into the shape of a sword, “You don’t want to know.”

“Oh, shit! let’s get outta here!”

“That’s what I’m counting on.” He removed the flame sword from his horn.

“Oh, Midnight,” Rainbow Dash ran up to him, “Thank you, I don’t think I could’ve done that by myself.” She said sarcastically.

“Yeah, I know. Hey Dash, can I tell you something?”

“I’ve been trying to say this for a few years now but, Dash I--”

“Midnight.”

“What?”

“Midnight wake up, we need to talk to you.”

“Are you fucking kidding me.” He then fell over and then he opened his eyes. He found himself on the floor of their cabin. He stood up to see Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy standing on the other side of the bed, “Ow, really Dash? What could be so important for you to interrupt my sleeping?”

Rainbow Dash gave him a smirk, “What were yah dreamin about Midnight?”

He looked away from Rainbow Dash and began blushing, “Um, it was nothing. It was just that I needed my sleep.”

“Need sleep? You spend most of your free time napping anyway.”

“Whatever. What did you wake me for?”

“I’m racing Kevin and Billy in 1 hour for making fun of Fluttershy. You wanna watch?”

“Sure, but why did you need to tell me so early?”

“So you can be wide awake to see all of the action!”

He slowly started closing his eyes, then fell over falling asleep on the floor.

Flight Camp Ring Course, 11:30 A.M., June 9th, 2006, 5 years ago

Midnight was on his own cloud, watching on the side lines. Rainbow Dash, Kevin, and Billy were readied at the starting line. Fluttershy was holding the checkered flag.

“You’re going down.” Billy said

“In history maybe. See you boys at the finish line.” They looked back at Fluttershy waiting for the signifying wave of the flag. She raised the flag up. Fluttershy brought the flag down and the 3 darted past the starting line. The force from the 3 cause Fluttershy to start spinning out and  she fell off of her little cloud.

Midnight quickly stood up, “Shit! Fluttershy!” He jumped down off of his cloud and headed straight towards falling Fluttershy, “How many times am I gonna have to deal with friends almost falling to there deaths? I mean, all of my friends have wings! How does this even make sense?!" He sped up trying his hardest to catch her, “ I don’t think I’ll make it!” Suddenly, what appeared to be a large group of butterflies flew by close to the ground and caught Fluttershy, “Oh thank Celestia.” Midnight started to slow down and came to a complete stop, “That one came really close. Suddenly, what appeared to be a rainbow wave came straight at Midnight at a rapid pace, “Oh fuck!” He put his left wing up to try and block the rainbow. His efforts failed, the wave pushed him through the sky and he flew uncontrollably through the sky heading to the ground. He hit tree after tree on his way down, until he finally crashed down sliding across the ground until he came to a complete stop. He slowly stood up feeling the pain from the fall. He could feel something dripping down his left side. When he turned around he saw that his entire left wing was gone. Blood continued to pour out of the wound on his side. The second he saw the wound he felt the intense pain, “I’ve gotta get out of here and find if any pony can help.” He slowly started limping through the forest, trying to find his way out. He could feel his blood level getting low as the blood dripped from his side. He walked for hours until he finally collapsed in an opening in the middle of the forest. He looked up to see the bright full moon was shining down upon him, “Please” he cried out, “If there is any pony out there please, Help me! I will do anything!”

“Hahahahahaha, anything you say?” A purple cloud came from the sky, shooting down directly at him. The cloud began surrounding him, circling around and around until it went in through his head, “I will give you more than just life, I will give you all of the power in the world. All you need to do is do what I tell you to do.”

The cloud suddenly pierced the nerves in his brain,”Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! What are you doing?!” His wounds began healing and he started to grow. He was suddenly the size of a full grown alicorn. His right wing became bigger and a wing made of fire replaced where his left wing was. His flaming mane began to grow and his hooves and eyes became flaming. A bright white crescent moon formed on his forehead. The sharp, piercing pain was gone and Midnight was gasping for breath.

“There we go. Now, for me reviving you, I want you to kill all who have hurt you.”

“What are you getting at?”

“Isn’t it obvious? Kill the girl who almost killed you.”

“But I don’t even know who that is! All i can remember is a rainbow wave coming at me.”

“Well what young filly makes a rainbow trail when she flies? What little pony was racing earlier today? I think it was your little friend Rainbow Dash.”

“What?!” He suddenly stopped and realized the grief to come, “No, I won’t kill her. You can’t make me do that!”

“Oh, but I think I can.” The cloud began piercing his nerves again and Midnight fell over in pain, “You see, I’ve made you near Immortal, the only thing that can kill you is the Elements of Harmony. So if you don’t do what I tell you, then I can just sit here and hurt you until you cooperate.”

“God, fucking damnit! I’ll do what you want, just make it stop!” The sharp pains suddenly left.

“Good, I think we’re gonna make a beautiful team.”
