Canterlot Royal Palace, 7:55 A.M., March 19th, 2011, Present

“They’ve gotta be here somewhere! I can smell them!”

“You seem really determined to kill these ponies. What’s the rush?”

“Be quiet Midnight, you know what the rush is. You’re just trying to slow me down!”

“Not quite, I’m just distracting you long enough for the guards to show up.”

“Stop right there criminal scum!” Midnight was completely surrounded by guards, “You’re not supposed to be here!”

“Foals! Do you really think you can stop me?!” Nightmare stomped down on the ground, and all of the guards burst into flames, “Come on, let’s get going they’re this way!” She looked down the hall to see Prince Blue Blood staring at Midnight, “Oh look, if it isn’t my pathetic little nephew. They started walking towards him, “You don’t deserve to be part of this family!”

“Ah, get away from me you ruffian! Who let such an uncivilized pony into the royal castle?!”

“Shut up, foal! You’re the most arrogant, selfish, ungrateful pony I’ve ever met!”

She drove Midnight’s horn directly through Prince Blue Blood’s neck. Midnight could barely see the red blood flow out of Blue Blood’s neck, down onto his face.

“Guys, we need to lea--, Guys, what’s wrong?”

“Oh shit it’s them.” Midnight though, “They need to get outta here now.”

“W-We need to get o-outta here. Let’s get going guys.” Nightmare threw Blue Blood’s dead body off of Midnight’s horn, and looked over at the six ponies, “Oh my gosh, run now!”

“No! We’re not letting them escape us again!” She dashed as fast as she could to catch up.

Twilight called out, “Princess Celestia, we need to get out of Canterlot, now!” A white flash engulfed the six as they were teleported away from Midnight.

“No! We can’t let them get the elements! Quickly, to Ponyville!” She dashed down the hall and blasted a hole in the wall. She flew through the air and picked up speed as fast as she could. A flaming mach cone formed around and suddenly, a flaming sonic rainboom burst through the sky, “They won’t get away with this!” Suddenly, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna flew in front of of Midnight. Nightmare quickly came to a stop, “Get out of my way! You obviously don’t know who you’re dealing with!”

“No, as the rulers of Equestria, Princess Luna and I can’t let any bit of Nightmare Moon still be alive.”

“This is none of your business!” Nightmare dashed right at the opening between the two princesses. Princess Luna flew out of the way, and Princess Celestia flew to Midnight’s side. She charged straight into him and knocked him to the ground in a field just outside of Ponyville, “Gah, do you really think that will stop me? The only thing that can kill me is the Elements of Harmony!”

“We know that.” Luna said, “You are kinda the old me.”

“We just need to hold you back long enough for the six to get the necklaces and tiara.”

Rainbow Dash was suddenly behind them, “Am I late?!”

“No, you’re actually quite early.” Luna said, “Stand back until the rest are here. We’ll hold him off until then.” The two princesses charged at Midnight.

“I don’t think so!” Nightmare took off into the sky, and the princesses following closely behind, “I’ve waited 5 years to do this!” She charged up a flame on Midnight’s horn, aiming it at Rainbow Dash. Luna quickly knocked into Midnight, and the flame shot off into the sky, “You two are starting to get on my nerves!” Celestia shot off a burst of sunlight at Midnight. Nightmare quickly dodged the shot and Luna shot off a burst of moonlight at Midnight. Nightmare dodged again sending a fire ball at the princesses. They quickly moved out of the way.

“Raaainboooow Daaaaash!” Nightmare looked down to see the other five had joined Rainbow Dash.

“No!” Nightmare dashed down at them, but was hit by a ray of sunlight from Princess Celestia.

“You should try paying attention to who you’re fighting.”

“Well Nightmare, we’ve been together in my body for five years now. But I think the time has finally come for us to part.”
