The Mermare

When the girls finally were in the door Sea Swirl spoke

“Okay the salon is this way” she pointed her hoof west to a very busy looking road

“Okay let’s get to those shrimp; wow I never thought I’d ever had to say that,” she confessed

“Well if we’re down here for long get use to saying ‘Hello Miss Octopus that’s a very nice tentacle polish you have on’” she said while trying to imitate Rarity voice, Rarity chuckled at her attempt

“Well if you live on land all you hear is ‘Buy some apples buy some freshly bucked apples’” Rarity said putting on her Applejack impression. Both girls laughed at their attempts to imitate their friends

“Or maybe ‘Make way for Rainbow Dash the cockiest mare in Equestria’” Sea Swirl tried

“Oh and ‘Maybe later guy I have to read this book the princess gave to me’” Rarity put in. By now both girls were laughing so much tear were forming, they spent a while imitating voices

“Or maybe ‘My faithful student I need you to clean the royal chamber, send me a letter when you’re done’” Rarity tried (and failed) to do Celestia’s voice

“Oh oh this is my dad ‘Go to your room you broke the window again’ Sea Swirl laughed.

Both girls were clutching their sides, they had just imitated all their friend and stared doing imitation of random ponies and merponies they were having the time of their lives, they finally arrived at the salon

“Well here we are Rarity,” Sea Swirl showed Rarity inside. As soon as the shrimp and the mermares there saw Sea Swirl they all bowed “Rise!” Sea Swirl ordered. All the shrimp and mermares rose. A very sassy looking shrimp came and asked

“What can I do for you, your majesty?” she asked

“Well you can start calling me by my name thank you!” she huffed “And it is not I that needs your service today.” She pointed a hoof a Rarity “I told Miss. Rarity here you are great at mane styling and so she needs your assistance,”

“Oh course you highness.” The shrimp said, Sea Swirl fake coughed a bit “I mean Sea Swirl!” she correct herself “Right this way Miss,” Rarity followed the shrimp to a chair “Sit down Miss.” Rarity did as she was told. The next hour consisted of Wash, rise and repeat, and then finally they got to business. The shrimp was cutting, curling, blow-drying and styling at alarming rates. At the end Rarity mane was stunning, the tips of her mane were curled and her mane slightly drooped over her horn, she was beautiful (She kind of looked like this)

“Rarity I think we should get going. Thank you Miss. Shrimp for your assistance I appreciate it very much,”

“No problem Sea Swirl it’s my pleasure,” and with their goodbyes said they exited the building.

“That shrimp is a very good mane stylist, even better than the one Ponyville!”

“Really I never thought they were that good,”

“Oh yeah I must come here more often if that’s okay with you,”

“No problem Rarity, though we should head back to the castle who know's what my sister has shown them.”

“What do you mean?” Rarity asked

“Oh nothing” Sea Swirls chirped

“Okay then led the way” she said with a bit a suspicion in her tone. Sea Swirl just shrugged at her friend sudden odd behaviour, she grab Rarity’s hoof and pulled her past the street, through the castle gates and into the door

“Welcome to my humble home!” Sea Swirl announced. But her home was anything but humble it was marvellous. When you entered there was a big seating/waiting area you could stay with a red velvet carpet, and in the middle there was a grand gold staircase which lead to five other, and there was a hallway as far as the eye could each side of the hallway had more than twenty doors on each side, each door was made of the shiniest gold that could make Canterlot look like building blocks, oh and the chandeliers were as clear as crystals in fact they were crystals. Rarity was in awe of the place Sea Swirl called a ‘humble home’.

“Is this what you call a humble home Sea Swirl?”

“Yeah pretty much.” she answered

“Wow you must have a lot of bits lying around” Rarity claimed

“Um…what are bits?”

“What you don’t know what bits are?”

“No we don’t I use sand dollars”

“Oh okay, should we go find the girls?”

“Yeah follow me,” Sea Swirl said. Rarity followed, Sea Swirl down to hallway, they were halfway across when they herd giggles coming from a door. They opened the door to find the five mares all sitting around, Blue Wave who was flipping through some sort of book

“Blue Wave that isn’t the family photo album?” Sea Swirl asked

“Ummm maybe it is maybe it isn’t.” Blue Wave joked

“Hey Sea Swirl I didn’t know so much food could fit on a face.” Rainbow commented, all the girl laughed at her comment

“BLUE WAVE YOU’RE SO DEAD!” Sea Swirl yelled and tackled her sister to the ground and started to strangle her “I told you never to show anyone that!”

“DAAAAD!” Blue Wave yelled. A few second their father came into the room to a sight that made his eyes want to pop out.

“SEA BERRY SWIRL YOUR ROOM NOW!”

“But daddy,” Sea Swirls pleaded

“NOW!” He ordered. While she was walking out she mumbled “Stupid dad.”

“Sorry for that girls, oh and Blue Wave Swirl what did you do get your sister so upset?”

“Well” she chuckled nervous “I…kind of showed her friend the family album…”

“You WHAT! You know angry she gets when you do that!”

“Hehe sorry…”

“Auggh what am I going to do with you, Blue Wave go apologizes to your sister okay,”

“Fine, girls wait here please.”

“Thank you, Blue Wave now girls I am very sorry for my daughter behaviour, let me offer you mares something.” He said and swam out of the room. A few minutes later he came back with hoof full jewellery. “Here is so rare jewels I can offer you, please accept them” Rarity didn’t have to think twice about this gift, she quickly said thank you and grabbed one of the pieces of jewellery the others did the same. Blue and Sea Swirl father excused himself to talk to his daughter’s.  An hour later he came back with his two daughter’s at his side.

“Girls tell them what you told me,”

“I’m sorry” they mumbled

“Good now you go have fun, Oh yeah you are both grounded for a week” He smirked

“Awwww but daddy-“they whined

“No buts, but for now toddles!” he chirped as he left the room

“My dad says toddles,” Sea Swirl said flatly and face-hoofed

“At least his says it well…I think.” Blue Wave put in,

Suddenly their dads heads popped up from the corner “Oh yeah no using you iClams, or shell tops too!” he added and disappeared again.

“Girls if you need me I’ll be in the garden thinking over my life” Sea Swirl said as she began to swim away

“Can I join you sis?” Blue Wave asked

“Sure.” Sea Swirl replied. With that said they swam out of the room to the garden.

  The minute the girls left silence filled the room, Twilight, finally spoke up “Girl I think we should head home”

“What but, Twilight, we haven’t even seen all of the castle yet” Pinkie whined

“I know Pinkie but I have to tell Princess Celestia about this!” Twilight answered. Suddenly the whole Swirl family appeared in front of her.

“Princess who now!”

“Princess Celestia” she repeated

“No you can’t tell her we have tried to hide from her for the past twenty year, you girls are the only ones to have seen are kingdom, if you tell anyone a secret will be told everywhere, EVERY-WHERE!”

“What do you mean you hid from her?”

“Are population was nearly wiped out because of her!”  Sea Swirl’s mother hissed

“She has been a disgrace in the mermare kind for years!” Their father put in

“She took granmare away from us!” Blue Wave said as tear formed in her eyes

“Well I’m sorry but I have to tell her, it’s a scientific discovery!” Twilight snapped

“Well I’m sorry we have to do this,” He glanced towards her family “This won’t sting a bit” he said with a dark tone. Suddenly their horns lit up and with a flash of green light all they could see was darkness and that was the last thing they saw
