The Mermare

Twilight groggily opened her eyes; all she remembered was being zapped by some magic and falling asleep. Twilight stared to stir awake and met the gaze of Sea Swirl “Ah you’re finally awake took you long enough.” She said in a hushed tone

“Hey where am I?” Twilight asked

“You’re in the castle dungeon.” She replied

“What why!?” She yelled. She didn’t realise that her yelling woke up the other girls and they were watching quietly

“Well you see you want to tell Princess Celestia about our species so we tied you and your friend here.” She replied

“Well you know I can just teleport us out of here.”

“No you can’t I put a spell on you so you can’t use magic.” She explained. Suddenly there was a sound of a door closing and a sigh “Finally he’s gone!” Sea Swirl said “Are you alright?”

“What do you mean am I alright it sounded like you were about to kill me!” Twilight exclaimed

“Oh yeah sorry about that, well your lucky look what I’m wearing.” She said as she revealed the leather outfit she was wearing. Twilight blushed as she saw the outfit it was a black leather outfit and she had some sort of police hat on. The girls just looked at each other, blushes printed on their coat; they stayed like that for a while until they heard a wolf whistle “Woo Wee that outfit of your look mighty fine don’t ya reckon?” Applejack said. Sea Swirls blush was now beaming through her coat “Well yes but anyway, let’s get you guys out of here before father comes back” She started to untie the gang of friends “Um…girls it won’t come loose.”

“Here let me try.” Twilight said “Could you please undo your spell.”

“Oh yeah!” she said as she cast the counter “There you go!” Sea Swirl said. Twilight, cast the spell and the rope fell to the floor with a quite ‘thud’ “Okay girls you better get home before my father come back, I’ll lead the way out.” She said as she started to swim out of the dungeon. Sea Swirl was swift about her movements, her back was against the wall while she slid careful not to make any noise “Girls there is the door you better get moving.” She ordered as she swam across the floor.

The girls were able to get to the door without a sound. Sea Swirl opened the door and let the girls out “You girls have a safe journey home and Twilight,” Twilight turned her head around “Please try keep this a secret, For the merpony kind please if you do don’t let Celestia get near us I don’t want to lose any more of us.” She pleaded. Twilight nodded and swam away leaving a very scared pony behind.

It has been a week since the mermare incident. Twilight has tried her best to keep them a secret but is slowly started to slip from her promise.

“Twilight Sparkle I am going to ask one more time, what happened when you were at the beach?” Celestia questioned with higher volume than usual

“Nothing import, Princess. I told you we just saw the animals on the shore.” Twilight lied

“Twilight I know you are lying please tell me what happened.” Celestia pleaded

“Well… what happened is sort of…secret” Twilight confessed “And I was sworn to secrecy not to tell and to tell would really anger the pony who has the secret.” Twilight also put in

“You found merponies, didn’t you?” Celestia said flatly

“WHAT! How did you know?” Twilight yelled

“I have met the merponies before, very interesting creatures. Sadly one day I came back to my lab and they were all gone, it’s a shame, now Twilight where did you find them?” Celestia asked

“Sorry Princess but I can’t share information. I know what you did to does merponies and it was cruel!” Twilight yelled

“I know it seemed wrong but it was in the name of science and it was a scientific breakthrough, even though I only knew about it.” Celestia said

“Sorry Celestia but I have to go.”Twilight said as she began to walk away from the table they were sitting out “Not so fast Twilight Sparkle” Celestia ordered. Celestia horn lit up a royal gold and shot a blast at Twilight. It was the second time this month that Twilight had been hit with magic. But this time was slightly different, intend of darkness she saw light and then was knocked out cold
