One hundred Hells
Why Eldrazi don't sleep
Previous ChapterHedronox walked towards Ponyville. After a few miles he decided to wait till morning. He lied down on the ground an went to sleep. As Hedronox entered his usual dream, He took up his true form; a tall, featureless, octohedronal crystal. All around the eight sided Eldrazi floated objects form his past lives. among his favorites were a crude, makeshift ax, a gravity hammer, a Necromorph limb, and a Boros guild signet. He observed each of the ninety nine objects. changing from quartz to emerald as he remembered the glorious endings he achieved. As he passed over a few items though, he changed to ruby, as he remembered the longer, less violent lives or embarrassing deaths. After he finished recapping all his prior lives, he changed back to quartz.

Luna heard the crash and suddenly felt as if one hundred new beings had just entered her and her sister's domain. The creatures felt foreign in every sense of the word. She couldn't help but feel a little worried about these alien beings. When she felt them sleeping, she extended her conscious and looked around for anything unusual. After a few minutes, she found an odd being, the likes of which she had never seen before. She entered it's dreams to see if it knew anything. As Luna entered the dream, she saw many objects floating about, ranging from mutilated limbs, to weapons, to books. But what had her attention the most was a large crystal.
"Is any one here?" Luna called out.
"Only you. And only me." A deep booming voice sounded seemingly from everywhere.
"Who are you? Show yourself!" Luna said, looking around for the voice.
"I am Hedronox. And wouldn't that be redundant?" The voice spoke. Luna turned to the octohedron, which had turned from quartz to ruby, then back as she saw it.
"I take it you're the giant hedron?" Luna asked.
"In my true form, I am an Eldrazi, as you see before you. in my many forced reincarnations, I am a lot of things." Hedronox said.
"Why are you here?" Luna inquired.
"To die my final death." Hedronox replied.
"Why do you want to die?" Luna asked.
"Because I have to live one hundred lives to be what I truly am again. I cannot kill myself, or I would have done so sooner." Hedronox explained.
"Why couldn't you just live a long happy life as all of these... Whatever these things represent?" Luna asked.
"I don't think you understand. almost all of my pasts have been bloody for a reason. For Emracul's sake, one of my reincarnations was a mutant space zombie!" Hedronox said.
"Why?" Luna asked.
"Because the ass hat who cursed me to this fate thought one of my valid deaths wasn't valid enough." Hedronox said.
"How do you remember being reincarnated so many times?" Luna asked
"Eldrazi don't forget." Hedronox Explained.
"You must be miserable for being forced to remember all the times you were murdered." Luna said.
"Who in the name of Kozilek said I was murdered?" Hedronox said.
"Well obviously you had to be murdered. How else Could your lives be cut short?" Luna said.
"Most of my lives were as`warlike races. Those that weren't I had joined the military and similar factions." Hedronox said. Luna was shocked. Here before her was a being with close to a hundred lifetimes worth of combat experience. And to make matters worse it was seeking it's freedom from It's mortal carcass.
"Why would you tell me this?" Luna asked.
"Because Eldrazi don't lie." Hedronox explained. "Now be gone, pest." And with that, Hedronox booted Luna quite literally out of his head. As Luna left his dream, he sighed. "Ulamog, that was annoying." He said.
