Creepy ponies
Chapter 4:Disaster starts
Previous ChapterNext ChapterJeff met with Ben and Jack somewhere away from other ponies. They were in the Everfree forest. When Jeff found them he was trying his best to hide the limp in his injured leg, this worked for a while, but when he actually was walking up to them he put too much weight on it and hobbled the rest of the way, mumbling curses.
"What happened to you?" Ben asked, noticing slight bloodstains on his hoodie. Some looked like blood from stabbing someone else, but some were obviously where wounds were. There was also a huge gash on one of his flanks.
"Wouldn't you wanna know?" Jeff said, glaring at Ben with a smirk.
"Well, you do look like you took a beating." Jack pointed out.
"I was gonna tell you guys later anyways." Jeff told them.
"Why not now, when we're where nobody can hear us?" Ben asked.
"I meant after we get the serious stuff outta the way." Jeff told Ben.
"Like how we're gonna go home?" Jack asked them.
"Pfft, home? Back to all those disrespectful, ungrateful idiots? I think not." Jeff said rolling his eyes.
"What did you ever do that they'd be grateful of?" Ben asked, expecting either no answer or a rant about Jeff being the queen of England.
"I drove off the fangirls that one time." Jeff answered.
"Oh yeah, I remember that." It was the reason there were so many severed heads in Jeff's closet. "Don't ever make me remember that again."
"Remember when i threw bagels at them then threw up bagels on them?" Jeff laughed remembering this.
"We all remember." Ben said in a horrified voice.
"Weren't we talking about something else?" Jack asked, wanting to change the subject.
"Oh yeah, about how we're never going back to the mansion." Jeff reminded them.
"All my games are at the mansion Jeff. The only reason I'm not in the asylum right now is because of how weird this place is." Ben explained. "You can stay here if you want, but i wanna go back to Majora's Mask."
"No, I mean there's no way back idiot. Mewbama brought us here and didn't come with us." Jeff pointed out.
"Well, that is true." Ben hated the idea of never playing video games again. The only thing he hated more was when he had to admit that Jeff was right.
"Plus, I think we could have a good life here. I already have a job." Jeff told them.
"Does have anything to do with the reason you have bloodstains?" Ben asked.
"You guessed it."
"Well what is it?" Jack asked.
"I'm a bakers helper." Jeff loved his job already. Making cupcakes out of that aqua pony Lyra was too fun.
"What does that have to do with murder?" Ben asked.
"Everything of course. We killed an Aqua grunt today." Jeff smiled at Ben, knowing he'd get the Pokemon reference. "No, but seriously, I tortured someone and it was fun." Jeff licked his lips. "I wonder how good the food's gonna be."
There was a soft growl from a bush nearby. "What was that?" they all said at the same time. Literally a second later a manticore jumped in front of them. It didn't look happy to say the least.
Jeff stood in front of Ben and Jack to shield them. Zalgo knows how bad Ben is at fighting face to face and Jack was bad at any kind of combat that didn't involve stealing kidneys. The manticore roared at him.
"Come at me, i dare you." Jeff said, taking out his knife. Two fights, one ending in murder, hopefully. This was gonna be fun.
The manticore charged at Jeff without hesitation. Jeff jumped into the air and stabbed it in the shoulder. The manticore shook him off and roared again. the knife still in it's shoulder it ran at Jeff again, leaping to the side with Jeff tried to swing punches at it.
Jeff ripped his knife out of the manticore and swung it at the face. He sliced the bridge of it's nose before it ducked away. It swung it's scorpion tail at Jeff and hit him in the side, throwing him into a tree.
Jeff tried to stand up but felt sick to his stomach. He looked where the tail had struck him. A deep hole where the stinger hit. He sighed and forced himself up. He knew if He didn't fight his friends would more likely than not, die. He walked to the manticore shakily, limping and hunched over trying to keep himself from falling over. His knife was in his mouth since it took almost all the energy in his good hoof to walk. He tried to swing at the manticore but fell over immediately. Just as it looked like it was about to make the finishing blow he heard a voice cry out.
"WAIT!"
He looked up the best he could, the poison really taking it's toll on him. He saw a yellow pegasus yelling and glaring at the manticore. It ran away after one final glare.
"That's all I had to do?" Jeff mumbled to himself.
"Are you alright, did he hurt you?" The pegasus was talking in a soft voice now, not at all like the voice she'd used with the manticore.
"It stung me pretty bad, but I'll live." Jeff said, trying to get up, but failing. "I think."
"Oh my gosh. He stung you? Manticore venom is more poisonous than even the worst of snakes." The pegasus looked panicked.
"That explains why i feel like i wanna sleep." Jeff said.
"Don't go to sleep." The pegasus told him.
"Don't..." Jeff muttered, a glint of anger forming in his eye.
"Oh no." Ben said. "This can only end badly now."
Jeff stood up seemingly effortlessly and glared. Not at anyone in particular, just at anything he could see. "Nobody says those 4 words in my presence." He said, out of breath but voice full of anger.
"I-i'm sorry. Did I say something I shouldn't have?"
Jack nodded.
"You really shouldn't have done that." Ben said.
