Chapter 6: A New Beginning

Brock and Nightmare slowly walked into ponyville and everyone around them stopped and froze, baffled at what they were seeing.

"Citizens of Ponyville!" Brock called out. "I have brought Nightmare Moon to your town so that we may make amens over the past and so that we may start from a new beginning!" Brock continued to speak using the traditional canterlot voice. "She is a creature of nightmares no longer but only a being that wishes to be loved and not hated. Though she may seem intimidating by her appearance and the legends that surround her but i tell you the truth she has changed." Brock was interrupted by a hand at his chest.

"Brock let me speak." Nightmare said.

"Yes my queen." He said and bowed.

"I am sorry for any harm i may have caused you if any at all. My only wish is to be forgiven and apologize to all of you. If you should choose to deny my apology and hate me, i will stand to take it all. Though all i want is to be loved and forgiven if you should choose to forgive me, i would be eternally grateful." She finished and bowed as Celestia approached.

"I heard what you two have said, and coming from.... Whoever that is, i didnt quite believe it. But when i heard it coming from your own mouth, i had no choice but to see if you were true to your word." Celestia spoke softly to her.

"I am truly sorry for anything i have done in the past Celestia...... Please, forgive me" Nightmare spoke in a scared tone.

"There's no need to worry, i do.

"WHAT?!" everyone around including Brock shouted.

"But i don't understand? H-how could you forgive me so easily?" Nightmare asked.

"Oh Nightmare, everybody deserves some forgiveness." Celestia said while smiling. The smile comforted Nightmare and she lunged at Celestia and hugged her.

"Thank you Celestia..... Thank you...." Nightmare whispered these words while crying.

"And who is this person who spoke so highly of you?" Celestia asked.

"Oh, where ARE my manners my name is-" He was cut off by Rarity.

"BROCK?!" She shouted.

"Rarity?" Brock said.

"What happened to you Brock? the last time i saw you was at the town hall when nightmare showed up!"

"Yes well...... I was sort of the reason she was able to come back." Brock said and smiled sheepishly.

"WHAT?!" everyone but Nightmare and Brock shouted.

"Yes, a thousand years ago, i was Nightmare Moons right hand man. And the day before she was banished she gave me immortality and only then was it that, after she had been banished, i realized i had feelings for her...." He said and everyone fell silent. It was Nightmare who finally broke it.

"Wait, Brock what are you saying?" Nightmare asked.

"Im saying that im in love with you nightmare." Brock said and looked at her. Everyone went silent again for a moment.

"Well that was.......... Outright." Luna said.

"Yes, i have been for a thousand years......... But i didnt have the courage to tell you until now because, well...... You were always so focused on your goals you probably wouldn't have even thought about me as anything more than your advisor." Brock said and sighed.

"But Brock why now? Why here?" Nightmare asked shakily.

"Because Nightmare." He knelt down and pulled a small black box out of his bag and opened it only to reveal a black ring with a blue diamond cut into the shape of a crescent moon. "Nightmare Moon....... Will you........ Marry me?" Everyone in the crowd gasped and fluttershy fainted. Nightmare stood there with her mouth open and a hand over it and her eyes were as small as pins. Everyone was silent.

"Brock.......... YES! YES OF COURSE I'LL MARRY YOU!" Nightmare shouted. Brock nearly jumped out of his skin with her response and everyone in Ponyville stood watching as she put the ring on. Brock and Nightmare kissed for what seemed like an eternity. When they finally came apart even Pinkie Pie was in tears at the sight.

"Congratulations you two. Where are you going to be having the wedding and when?" Celestia asked cheerfully. "Also before you tell me i want to know something. Do you still want to be called Nightmare or not?" The question had startled her.

"Hmm, im not sure what else i could be called. Hmm, how about........ Silver Star?" Nightmare asked.

"It's a beautiful name. Just like you." Brock replied.

"Well then that will be my name! Hear me ponyville, call me Silver Star!" The whole town cheered for the two as they hugged each other Silver began to cry.

"Why are you crying Silver? tears of joy Brock, tears of joy." Silver said still hugging him tightly. Pinkie stopped crying sat up.

"Hey Pinkie Pie!" Brock called out. "How would you like to set up our wedding party?" Pinkie's jaw almost hit the floor as she squealed and began bouncing faster than ever before.

"I'D LOVE TO SET IT UP!" The whole town cheered again.

"Twilight how would you like to be the made of honor?" He asked her.

"I'd be proud to Brock." Twilight smiled brightly.

"And who would like to be the best man?" Brock called out and Applejack pushed Big Macintosh forward. "Big mac, would you like to be the best man?" Brock asked. Big mac just stared.

"Eeyup!" Big mac said proudly and smiled brightly.

"Alright then everyone has a place. Pinkie, you plan the party, Applejack, you bring the food. Twilight, you'll be the made of honor. Big Mac is the best man. Dashie, you plan the party games. Fluttershy, you set up the music, and Rarity, the closest to me of the six you set up the decorations. With your eye for fashion im 100% sure it will be completely AMAZING." Brock said.

"CAN DO!" All seven of them replied.

"Well then the party is planned. We want the wedding to be in one week exactly." Once more the crowd cheered for the happy couple as they walked back to their house. They soon reached the house and Brock opened the door for his Bride and bowed.

"Oh Brock im so happy...... Thank you." Silver said.

"I'm happy to. I was forced to wait a thousand years just so i could confess my feelings to you and when i did i wasnt sure if i had made a mistake or not.... But now i know i made the right choice in the woman i want to marry. There is no one in the world i would rather be married to than you Silver." He said and hugged her.

"And there is no one i would rather marry than you brock." The two kissed one final time and went to sleep together.
