Spitfire walked peacefuly and silently through the everfree forest, not even daring to look at where the noises of creatures were coming from. She had asked Zecora, the local zebra, how to avoid
the creatures. The solution was to ignore them. If you do that, they think you're bigger or more dangerous than them - she'd hate to see anything more dangerous than them. Suddenly, as she was walking past a bush, a noise came - the sound of sobbing. Looking behind a bush, she stealthily hid from the sobbing, small pegasus curled up cutely in a ball.
"What....did....she.....do?" The filly wailed between sniffs. "She would.... never..... murder..... ANYPONY!" Spitfire couldn't bare it. Leaping out of the bushes, she ran to aid the crying filly. "Are you ok, little one?" The filly looked up.
"You don't believe it, do you?"
She was confused. "Believe what?" Maybe this filly had a rumour spread around about her, or she was being told that she couldn't ever have her dreams come true...
"That Rainbow Dash murdered somepony." Oh... that made much more sense.
"Of course not, sweetie. I've met her."
"You sound like her. Rough. Tough. Awesome."
'That does sound like a murder candidate,' Spitfire thought. 'But I'll let that slide. The poor filly's been through enough, obviously.'
"Will you look after me... while she's....gone?"
"She looks after you?" Spitfire was confused. Rainbow dash was a teenager; word around cloudsdale is that she lived with her parents until she was fourteen, then she moved to Ponyville. But, then again, Spitfire did the same, swap the towns...
"Of course.... she's..... like a sister to me."
Those words rang in spitfire's head. It sounds cheesy, but, her heart exploded. That voice... that cry. So familiar.
She sounded like...
like...
"Scootaloo."
"Huh? How do you know my name?"
"One of my friends, she had a baby. She put it up for adoption, then she died. I promised with all my heart I'd find that filly and tell her about her mother, but she was long gone."
"My mama died."
"She....did?"
"My foster mama. My real mama died when I was a baby."
So, it was settled.
Spitfire knew.
This girl was her neice.

PORTAL AND MLP DO NOT BELONG TO ME
Pinkie Pie giggled, jumping through a blue-ish portal, a portal gun in her hoof. A smile on her face, she fell through a portal and-
wait, who put that Rainbow Dash there? A blur of colours was all that was visible. "Pinkie!" Rainbow yelled, sighing. "You nearly knocked me over!"
"Well, I had to find you someway! If I didn't, how could I ask you if you want me to throw you a 'congratulations-on-not-being-stuck-on-the-sun' party, or a 'please-smile-Rainbow-Dash' party?"
Rainbow smiled. "Pinkie, you're so random."
"I know."
Pinkie Pie leaped through the portal, appearing in her bedroom in Sugarcube corner. She pulled out a red button and pressed it.
'Well, that was easy!'

Rainbow rolled her eyes at her friend's natural randomness and continued to walk along the road to Spitfire's house. She knocked on the door, for a sleepy Scootaloo to answer. "Hello?" Scoots yawned.
"Oh, hey, Scoots. You and Spitfire want to... you know... hang out on a few clouds or somethin'?"
"Oh, would I?"
Rainbow chuckled. "This afternoon, 6 PM, just south of Ponyville."
Scoots nodded and closed the door.
Rainbow sighed, trotting back home.

"3...2....1..."
The door opened, and Rainbow Dash trotted in.
"SURPRISE!"
The voices of 25 ponies echoed through the room. Rainbow looked around the house hurriedly. Rainbow-coloured decorations hung around the room, but most importantly of all was her friends. They all danced and sung, clothed in dresses of their coat colour.
Pinkie had done it again.
This was the perfect party.

Bored and lonely (rewritten)
Scootaloo opened her eyes to a blinding light. Camping was no fun. Rainbow dash was so busy with the incidents happening around Equestria that she had forgotten about the little filly-sized shadow
that copied her every move. "Who needs RD anyway?" she muttered. "I could get somepony better. I wonder if LUNA will be my idol. Ooh, maybe a wonderbolt!"
The silence of the forest was unnerving. RD had left to get firewood hours ago - according to AJ, she hadn't returned since night fell. Anypony unidentified and alone at night was put in court.
Scootaloo hoped that wasn't the case. Suddenly, the sound of a burp from outside startled scootaloo. She suddenly remembered - Twilight and Spike were there too. A gasp startled her for the second
time, so she dragged herself sleepily from her soaking-wet tent, sweat sticking her mane to her back. "T...Twilight? What is it?"
Twilight was silent for a few minutes. Then she spilled the beans. "Rainbow Dash has been banished to the sun, after being accused of murder by an unknown stallion."
Scootaloo's eyes grew wide, in shock, then anger, then sadness. Her eyes flooded with tears. "When will she.... come back?"
Twilight's eyes welled up. "In about a week, sweetie." Scootaloo sobbed silently. Her thoughts came back again. What if she NEEDED a new idol? Rainbow Dash might never return!
Scootaloo turned her head away. "I'm going for a walk." She gulped, before walking further into the everfree forest.
Now she was bored.... AND lonely.
Sobbing, she stumbled tiredly into the forest, finding a clearing behind a bush and thinking to herself. Why did this happen to her? Rainbow dash was an ELEMENT OF HARMONY, why wouldn't the pony recognise her? Choking on her tears, she began to cry, not hearing the hoofsteps of a certain wonderbolt coming closer and closer.

A week had passed.
Everything was going fine, at least, fine by Ponyville's standards. Sure, a few manticore attacks here and there, some Ursa Minors, nothing special though. Or so they thought. Spitfire lay in her bed, stroking the filly on her knee. Suddenly, the newspaper was slotted through the letterbox. "Scootaloo, sweetie? Can I get up a second?" she questioned. A tired groan told her
it was ok. She gently picked up the filly, and put her in the warmest spot of the bed. When she picked up the newspaper, she was shocked. "Scootaloo.... Rainbow is back."
Those words shocked Scootaloo. She was anxious all morning, until Spitfire took her to go and see Rainbow.
Rainbow looked different. Her mane was dusty and gray, her eyes colourless. She hung her head as if she was depressed, bored and annoyed - but she didn't hesitate turning her head from Scootaloo.
"R...Rainbow?" Scootaloo stuttered. She walked closer to the mare, until she saw that her eyes were completely white. "What happened?" She yelled.
Rainbow seemed to notice her voice. "I...I think the light blinded me.... I can't see you.... are you there? I'll be able to see in a couple of months or so..."
Scootaloo stroked Rainbow's mane. "I'm here."
Suddenly, she heard cheerful voices. "Hello Scootaloo!" Twilight said. "How are you doing?"
Scootaloo was silent for a moment. "Rainbow.... she..... can't see."
Twilight looked at Rainbow. Her eyes looked meaningless, and the dirt on her coat simplified the meaning of feeling alone. She looked like she would snap if someone did so little as to stroke her, and,
as she lay down, she was clearly brittle and tired. She whispered something. Even though Twilight couldn't hear it, it sounded like some sort of pleading for help.
Twilight stared teary-eyed at her friend. "Why are you so sad?"
Rainbow stared silently at the wall.
She sighed.
"I was replaced by a wonderbolt."

Rainbow woke up, the darkness of her vision not surprising her.
The ironic feeling was still there. She had prayed that someday Scoot would be smiling next to a proud, loving wonderbolt idol - but she didn't mean Spitfire! The wonderful, ego-filled Rainbow Dash - that was who!
'Who am I kidding?' Rainbow thought. 'Spitfire is popular, fast, strong, good looking - I'm losing my trail of thought. And if she'd of stuck with me? She would of got a blind, earthbound pegasus,
with no natural skill.'
That last comment was correct. Spitfire's skill was natural, but Rainbow's was forced by intense training. She suddenly had a great idea - she could hang out with Spitfire!
~~~~~Meanwhile, with Scootaloo~~~~~
"What did she say, to make you so upset?"
"She said I replaced her."
Spitfire suddenly noticed her mistake. She was simply taking care of the filly - she didn't mean to harm Rainbow any more. Twilight and all of the other elements of harmony were heartbroken, and she hadn't even noticed!
So many incidents had happened at once - Spike had been turned down by Rarity, Rarity had been... 'dumped', to put it lightly... by Fancy Pants, Rainbow had been banished to the sun, Twilight
had started going out with Flash Sentry, Fluttershy was famous for her beauty, yet heartbroken by the sudden 'incidents', Applejack had been extremely busy but was diognosed with a severe condition called
'the werepony disease', and Pinkie was so tangled up in party planning business that she had no time to catch up!
Yet, Spitfire had sat there, ignoring the tears and sadness of the ponies around her, not knowing that she was driving one certain mare to insanity by taking the filly she cared for so much away.
"It's your fault," Spitfire muttered to herself.
"All your fault."
