Chapters Limbo...
Pinkie awoke in a dark gloomy place. Her sacred place. The dirt walls had stayed the same, the floor was dusty, like always and she had a strange metallic taste in her mouth. She spat on the floor to try and get the terrible taste off her tongue.
"Well this is strange, I thought I was in Twilight's library,"
Her memories of the past night slowly returning.
"Ohh yeah! she did a spell and ka-boom ding ding fizz splash"
She was talking to herself and she knew it.
She sighed.
"Well, if I'm turning crazy, might as well be with some music" she said in a glum voice.
She fiddled with the knobs and buttons again,
The winner takes all,
Its the thrill of one more kill,
the last on to fall will never sacrifice their will,
dont ever look back on the world closing in,
be on the attack with your wings on the wind,
Oh, the games will begin!
She had brought out the air guitar.
And it's sweet, sweet, sweet victory, yeah!
Its ours for the taking, its ours for the fight.
And it's sweet, sweet, sweet victory, yeah!
Abandoning the air guitar, she shook her head to the beat.
And the one who's last to fall,
The winner takes all,
You don't win no silver,
You only lose the gold,
You push with a fever for your time keeps tolling on,
Against all the odds, against all your pain your backs on the wall with no one to blame,
Wild hearts won't be tamed!
As the song ended, a sudden realization came.
"Wait, what about the kids, the rest of Ponyville. Something could have happened! "
She felt a shiver, an itchy knee and her hoofs kept shaking.
That had to mean something.
She galloped, not bounced, to the the exit, fearing the worst.
She entered the confectionery shop at top speed, whizzed through the kitchen and climbed the stairs rapidly. She reached the top and came to their door. The two baby twins were nowhere to be found. Pinkie eyes started to glaze over and she tried hard not to cry. It was hard not too. She wiped her eyes after a few minutes. ~sniffle ~
"I have to find them, they're my precious siblings " she thought to herself.
She walked down the rest of the corridor. She checked every room. Twice. The kids were nowhere to be seen. The once colourful and cheery Pinkie Pie had become very depressed.
"What am I gonna tell Miss Cake?" As Pinkie said that, her hair had deflated, like someone letting the air out of a balloon.
She stumbled out of Sugarcube Corner and onto the streets of Ponyville. She thought of drowning her sadness in some apple cider. She walked slowly and she noticed that nopony was around.
"There must be some kind of festival or something" Pinkie sighed.
She walked to the place where Applejack's stand normally was. The only thing was, nothing was there. No apples, no apple pie, no Applejack
"Huh?" Pinkie said with confusion.
"Applejack's stand is always here, everyday of the week"
After looking around, she noticed nopony was in sight. No other stands, no talking, nothing.
Just the cool air surrounding her.
"WHERE THE HAY IS EVERYPONY?" Pinkie screamed.
"Not so loud!"
Pinkie turned around and gaped at the strange Alicorn.
"I suppose you are wondering why you are here" The Alicorn had a snow-white coat, her main a dark colour of mauve. Her tail was gracefully swaying behind her and her voice made Pinkie think that she was somepony important. As she stepped on
the floor, her feet barely made a sound. She was tall and towered over Pinkie. Her horn, long and sharp like a sword. It seemed it could pierce through anything
For the first time in her life, Pinkie was speechless.
"Welcome to Limbo!"
"L-L-Limbo?" Pinkie stuttered.
"Yes! My name is Andromeda.You are probably wondering why you are here, are you not?"
"Well, yes Andromeda!" Pinkie's hair had gone back to normal.
There's somepony here! I'm not alone!
"Celestia told me that her pupil Twilight Sparkle would send someone here by accident, so I'm here to help you"
Andromeda said with a reassuring smile.
"Now just stay still, I need to concentrate"
Her horn started glowing a vibrant green. She started building up power as the light entrapped Pinkie Pie and lifted her off the ground.
"I don't think so" a strange crackly voice said. A beam of light hit Pinkie as she was in the air.
"Disco-" Pinkie was cut off as she disappeared with a flash of light. Pinkie had been magicked away. Again.
"Discord!" Andromeda yelled.
"No,no,no,no no not Discord, Draco,"
"What?" Who are you? What did you do to Pinkie Pie?" Andromeda snarled.
"I am Draco, a Draconaquis, or Discord's father." Draco looked like a jigsaw puzzle that had been mashed together by an infant. With a pegasus and a dragon wing on his back, a lion's left paw and a rhino's right foot for legs. A right arm that belonged to an ape, and a left arm that belonged to a bear. A sleek body that matched a snake's body, covered in brown fur. The head had once belonged to a goat, with sharp fangs. But what was most perplexing was that he had two unicorn's horns, one blue and one red. A very messed up jigsaw puzzle indeed.
Andromeda gaped. Celestia told her that Discord was the only one left. Draco must be good at hiding.
"This doesn't matter right now. Where is Pinkie!?"
"Let's just say, she's having the time of her life"
~~~
She awoke in her sacred place again. Instead of it being deserted, loud music was blasting and another pony was dancing wildly. A grin started to show on her face. The pony had great taste in music. Even if she didn't know where he came from. The stallion hadn't noticed Pinkie. She kept watching him until the song ended. A grin had etched it's way on his face.
"I love your dancing!" Pinkie said.
"Oh, thanks!" The stallion looked at Pinkie and realized what just happened.
"Wait, did you just- Where did you come fr-"
"Who are you?"
"I'm Pinkie Pie the party pony! Who are you and what are you doing in my special place?" Pinkie asked.
The stallion blinked.
"What? Your a funny mare Pinkie. My name is Bubble Berry and this is my special place!"
The two ponies gave each other a quizzical than they broke into a laugh.
"How's about we call it OUR special place?" Bubble proposed.
Pinkie giggled.
"Sure"
Zombie Bubbles?
Pinkie awoke to a beautiful morning.
As soon as she opened her eyes, Gummy was staring straight at her, in the eyes.
If it was anyone but Pinkie, they would have at least screamed.
"Hey Gummy, wait, you aren't Gummy are you? Well hello Miss-crocodile-that-looks-exactly-like-Gummy" Pinkie gave her a grin.
Gummy responded with a blink. Solaris's sun shone through the windows with not a cloud in the sky. The room had pink walls that somehow went with the green floor with a small light bulb hanging down from the center of the ceiling.
Pinkie yawned as she got out of bed. A nice smell was coming from downstairs.
"Eggs~ Pastries~ Cupcakes~"
She was practically drooling. She trotted down the corridor and took a quick peek into the baby's room. They weren't there.
"They must be at the kitchen"
And they were. Pinkie walked into the kitchen and saw Bubble Berry was spoon feeding Angel Cake (the pegasus) while Marble Cake (the unicorn) was shouting for more. They didn't seem to look any different, except they seemed to have swapped colours. The kitchen had a lime green, wooden floor. The cupboards were yellow and the edges were outlined with pink. The ceiling was yellow with a single lamp shade hanging from it.
"Choo-choo! here comes the train into the station!" Bubble said with a goofy look on his face.
"He looks so cute when he does that" Pinkie thought with a giggle.
Bubble noticed Pinkie standing in the doorway. Heat rushed to Bubble's face as he didn't know how long she was there.
"Oh, uh... good morning... sleep well?" Bubble asked with a slight touch of anxiety.
"Oh, um, sure" Pinkie replied looking at the floor.
An awkward silence hung between the two ponies.
"Would you like something to eat? I'm cooking some eggs and making some pastries" he muttered, breaking the silence.
"Oh yes, please" Pinkie replied, still refusing to make eye contact.
"Take a seat then" Bubble said with a smile. His heart was beating slightly faster.
"So far so good, Bubble" he thought to himself.
Bubble normally had it sunny-side-up but on occasion, had it scrambled. "Would you like it scrambled or Sunny-side-up?" wondering if he had asked a silly question. They were the same pony, he should know what she wanted.
"Sunny side up please!" Pinkie responded.
~~~
~After breakfast~
"Pinkie, can i ask a favor of you?" Bubble asked in a shy tone of voice, which was unusual.
"Umm... sure Bubble, what is it?" Pinkie responded.
"Can you look after Angel and and Marble for me? I need to do some shopping," Bubble said, a slight blush forming.
"Oh! Sure, sure" Pinkie said, slightly disappointed, although she didn't know why.
"Alright then, bye!" Bubble gave a sheepish wave and slammed the door shut.
Pinkie felt a twinge in her heart when Bubble left. Although she had only known the stallion for a day now, it felt like she had known him for a couple of years. She frowned and felt slightly depressed as she stared at the door.
~~~
Bubble, instead of bouncing around and, overall being joyful and bringing smiles to ponies face, had his head in the clouds. A goofy grin from ear to ear was plastered on his face.
Rainbow Blitz was practicing some maneuvers in mid-air. He was doing loops and flying through clouds. He got himself psyched up for a new move. A sonic rainboom barrel roll. It'd be awesome! He noticed a pink blob on the ground and decided that it would be so much sweeter if somepony was watching.
"Hey! Bubble!" Rainbow Blitz yelled as he flew down towards him.
Rainbow Blitz had spiky rainbow-coloured hair and his tail was jagged and looked like it hadn't been groomed in weeks. Compared to his mare form, he was much more muscular.
When he didn't get a response, Blitz flew down to ground level and looked him in the eye.
"You alright, Bubble? You don't seem yourself today?" Blitz questioned.
"Huh? Oh, sure, sure..." Bubble said, half-listening. His head was full of Pinkie Pie.
Blitz gave Bubble a weird look.
"Well, okay then," Blitz stepped slowly away from Bubble, still giving him a weird look.
He flew off at top speed towards Dusk Shine's house, the library. Something weird was going on.
"Hmmm," Bubble thought to himself "Did I do something wrong?" Bubble thought with an eyebrow raised.
~~~
Elusive had made his mane styled just the way he liked it. He parted it in the middle. It had took absolute ages to get the
masterful curls on his mane to match his tail. They seemed to sparkle. He entered Sugarcube Corner to get something sweet for a small party that was going to be held between him and two other suit designers.
"Excuse me Bubble, but I need something sweet made fo-" Elusive had paused when instead of seeing Bubble Berry, the stallion, he saw a mare, with a big, bouncy mane, just like Bubble's. She had a cutie mark of three balloons, just like Bubble's. Her fur coat was pink, just like Bubble's.
"Oh hi! welcome to Sugarcube corner. We've got cakes, cupcakes, muffins, pies, coffee, tea, juice and anything else you can think of!" She said with an ear-to-ear grin.
And an annoying personality, just like Bubble.
"Oh Bubble, what has Dusk done to you? He's turned you into a-a-a... mare! " Elusive cried out.
"What are you talking about? I just came from a different dimension, silly!" Pinkie replied, as if it was nothing.
"Oh! Well. Isn't that just..." Elusive stopped mid-sentence, unsure of what to say next. What she had just said was clearly gibberish. But it proved that she knew Bubble Berry. Perhaps a long lost sister? A cousin? Most likely a cousin. But she creepily looked a lot like Bubble. Elusive was suspicious and kept an eye on her, not looking at where he was going.
"Watch out!" Pinkie yelled as Elusive slipped on one of Marble's toy carts.
He hit his head on the counter and fell on the floor with a thud. He was out almost instantly.
~~~
Rainbow Blitz flew as fast as his wings could carry him, almost performing a sonic rainboom on the way. She slammed the door of the library, making Spines fall off her ladder.
"Oww! You could at least knock first!" The female dragon looked exactly like Spike, except her ears were floppy and the spikes on her back were more curved.
"Why are you in such a rush?" Spines asked.
"Bubble Berry" Rainbow Blitz said. It was all he had to say.
"Dusk! Come down quick! It's important!" Spines yelled.
Dusk Shine's mane was very messy. A purple stripe and a horn sticking out of it. His tail matched his hair in messiness, he had forgot to groom it this morning. Again.
"Whats wrong Rainbow Blitz?" Dusk asked.
"It's Bubble Berry, something happened," Rainbow responded, "He seemed to just daydream endlessly, and it looked like he wasn't listening to me at all!"
"That's odd," Dusk said, pondering reasons why Bubble would act in such a way. He couldn't think of any.
"Exactly! That's why I was wondering if you could help me in finding out what has happened to Bubble!"
Dusk sighed and went upstairs. It seemed he was rummaging through some stuff.
"What's he up to?" Rainbow asked Spines.
She just shrugged and continued dusting the library.
Dusk came back with binoculars hanging from his neck, an explorer's hat, pen and a notepad.
"Time for a good ol' fashioned stake-out!"
~~~
Bubble Berry waltzed down the street, bumping in everypony that walked in front of him. He was deep in his own thoughts that mostly had Pinkie Pie in them. He had tried to drown her out with thoughts of parties and cakes but to no avail. Pinkie always won in the end. Her flank, the way it curved and complimented her mane. Her bouncy tail that seemed to be impossible for brushes and shampoo to tame. Her lips, the way they curved and seemed so soft, he dreamed about their taste, but most of all, her eyes. They were sapphire blue and seemed to go on forever. He tried not to look at them in case he got lost in them. He bumped into another pony.
~sigh~
"It's so hard not to think about her! Why must she be so beautiful? Bubble's internal struggle becoming more and more transparent.
He had to talk to somepony about it, but who? Rainbow Blitz and Applejack were a big no. They had never been in love before. Dusk Shine and and Butterscotch were a maybe. Elusive is a- wait.
"That's it!" Bubble yelled. He had meant to keep it a thought but it had slipped out.
He looked around. Everypony was staring at him. Wide-eyed and eyebrows raised. Applejack, who was standing about ten meters away even jumped a little, although he denied it to Macareina.
"Oopsie!" Sorry everypony, just had a massive brainwave! Gotta go! bye!~" As he bounced happily to Carousel Boutique. Momentarily, turning back to his old self. Then, thoughts of Pinkie had kicked in and he returned to a walking zombie. But, instead of constantly wanting brains, all of his thoughts were on Pinkie Pie.
~~~
The sudden outburst had startled Dusk. Dusk fell on his backside while Rainbow was feeling his ears.
"Yikes, that was loud! My eardrums are ringing," Rainbow said.
"Would ya' mind telling me what in tarnation' you two are doing?" A voice from behind had said.
"Sure, We're tailing Bubble Ber-" Dusk turned around and saw Applejack with a quizzical look etched onto his face. Applejack
had blonde hair that looked like it had never been groomed once. His tail had a single bow on it. He was naturally tall and looked down on the two stallions. Many years of apple bucking had left Applejack very muscular.
Rainbow cut in, "We're tailing Bubble Berry 'cause he's been acting really weird since I saw him this morning,"
"Might ah' join you?" Applejack asked "I have seen Bubble actin' real strange and ah' would like ta' find out why,"
Dusk sighed.
"Fine, you can join us, but be quiet!"
"Sure, one second guys," He walked over to his stand and spoke to Macareina.
Macareina held a blank expression throughout the entire conversation with a hint of a frown. Dusk and Rainbow watched as she nodded her head towards Applejack
"Looks like i'm good. Just hope Macareina can hold the stand by herself" Applejack said.
~~~
Elusive slowly opened his eyes. He had a serious headache and it felt like a bump had decided to take a trip on his head.
"What a strange dream," He thought, "It felt so real. And Bubble Berry's double..."
He made a small chuckle.
"Oh, Elusive, what a mind you have," He thought to himself.
And then he noticed his surroundings.
"This is strange,"
The wallpaper was different, the floor a different colour and a small light was hanging from the ceiling. The bed was a single instead of king sized and the room was much smaller. There were no materials everywhere and no drawings on the walls. He wasn't at Carousel Boutique.
"It wasn't a dream!"
Elusive peaked out of the door and looked around. So far, so good.
He crept out, keeping a slow pace. He heard something behind him and turned his head to look.
Gummy was on his back, having a little walk.
It was too much. Elusive screamed an ear-aching scream. Luckily Gummy's hearing wasn't the best in the world or she would be clutching her ears in pain.
~~~
Dusk looked around.
"Did you hear that?" He asked to nopony in particular.
"Hear what, haystack?" Applejack asked.
"Never mind, it was probably nothing," Dusk replied.
And they continued stalking Bubble.
~~~
Pinkie had heard the scream (it was hard not too) and rushed upstairs, too see Elusive panting and Gummy on his back.
Pinkie lifted Gummy off his back and gave her a cross look.
"Silly Gummy! You shouldn't scare ponies like that! No cupcakes for you tonight!"
All Gummy did was blink.
"Awww! how could I do that to something so cute!" Pinkie said with a giggle, her eyes turning to Elusive.
"Are you okay now? I was so worried when you fainted, I almost cried" Pinkie said with genuine concern.
"Oh... well..." Elusive started, he didn't know whether to be thankful for her kindness or scared of the fact that she creepily looked a lot like Bubble.
A scream and a cry came from a different room down the corridor.
"Oh darn. And after they just settled,"
Pinkie galloped into the room at full speed.
"Oh please stop crying!"
She started making funny faces at them but that only made them cry harder.
"How about I sing for you? Will that make you happy?"
What Elusive heard next was a very big shock. He knew Bubble was a very good singer, but she could sing notes that stallions could only dream of. Her voice was harmonious and soft on the ears. He walked to the bedroom and saw her rocking the crib slowly while she sung. It seemed impossible that these sounds could come from a pony like Pinkie, as her double was Berry. It made Elusive wonder if Bubble could sing like her.
He lay down in the doorway and just looked at the beautiful sight that was before him. He yawned and noticed he was becoming a bit drowsy. He shook his head to try and stay awake. He wanted to listen to the entire song~.
As the song finished, the twins were sound asleep. Their snores were the only sound filling the room. Pinkie crept to the doorway where Elusive had been sitting. She sighed.
~Phew!~ "Hopefully, they won't be waking up for a while" She whispered to Elusive.
There was no doubt in his mind. Although she was weird, she was a good pony. No bad pony could sing that good.
"That was astounding! Where did you learn to sing like that?" Elusive asked as he was closing the door.
"My mum used to sing it to me all the time when I was a little filly" Pinkie responded with a smile.
"Did she, indeed?" Elusive said with a smirk.
The two ponies crept downstairs, hoping that they wouldn't disturb the sleeping colts.
Although Elusive wouldn't mind hearing that song one more time.
*Author's notes*
Sorry that this chapter took awhile.
School really gave me a beating (not literally)
So this chapter is extra long.
Special thanks to my new, awesome (but strangely scary) editor Cyberpanda2000 ;)
He made it so that your eyes could read this without wincing.
Some of you are probably thinking
"What about Gummy, why hasn't his name changed?"
That's because I personally thought that Gummy was a unisex name like Applejack

The Confession
Dusk, Blitz and Applejack were still tailing Bubble as he wondered down the streets, without a care in the world. He had finally reached Carousel Boutique. Inside the shop, the lights were turned on but it appeared to be empty. Bubble knocked just in case.
No answer.
"Darn, look's like he's not in," Bubble said to himself. He was about to turn around and head back to Sugarcube Corner when a yellow stallion answered the door.
He had a short, pink mane which parted down the middle. It seemed to be well groomed. His tail looked like it had been well looked after also. It was bouncy but straight and matched his mane.
"Oh... hi Bubble. Sorry but Elusive left a while ago and asked me to look after Alexanderite while he was away, sorry..." The shy pony said in a soft voice.
Bubble looked disappointed.
"Oh, that's okay, Butterscotch"
"Looks like Butterscotch will have to do"
"Um... Butterscotch I have something to tell you, but can we do it in a more private place?" Bubble asked as a blush spread across Bubble's face.
Butterscotch looked surprised. Bubble never wanted to talk about things in private. He loved to share.
"Uh... well... sure, I guess," Butterscotch responded. He closed the door as Bubble walked in. The Boutique had design's on plastic pony models everywhere. New designs, experiments gone right, men's section, woman' section. This was where most of the finished work that was good would end up. They trotted up the steps to Elusive's room. Unlike the show room, it was cluttered with fabrics and materials. Failed suits stood in the corner and drawings hung on the walls. Elusive called it 'organized chaos'.
"So um... can you tell me what it is that you wanted to talk to me about... that is if you don't mind," Butterscotch asked meekly.
"Ah, yeah, well..." Bubble squirmed. A hint of blush showing on his cheeks.
"Bubble, speechless? I must be dreaming!" Butterscotch thought to himself
"Well the thing is..." Bubble said with a low tone of voice. "I may be a teeny-tiny..." Bubble said trailing off.
"Yes?" Butterscotch asked
" ...tiny-whiney, intsy-bitsy, little-whittle..." He said, trying to delay the inevitable.
Butterscotch neared his head towards Bubble "Yes?."
Bubble knew what was coming and tried to prepare for it. He gulped and took a deep breath.
"I'M IN LOVE WITH A MARE" Bubble yelling loud enough to startle Butterscotch but not so loud that anypony outside would hear it. Anypony that wasn't listening in, that is.
Blitz flew in at top speed through the balcony door and crashed into Bubble. Thank Solaris they were open or there would be glass everywhere.
"Oh my Solaris! Is it true Bubble? Who's the lucky mare, huh? Who is she?" Blitz was eager to find out, and then it dawned on him. He had blown it.
~~~
~A few minutes before~
Dusk, Blitz and Applejack followed Bubble, maintaining their distance. They had decided to continue to follow him and if he didn't do something eventful in the next thirty minutes, they would all head home (or in Applejack's case, the stand).
Bubble had been walking like a brain-dead pony for a while now and the three stallions were growing tired of following him around.
"Come on Dusk, he's been like that for ten minutes now, he's probably going through a Bubble Berry phase or something" Blitz said, bored out of his mind.
"This was you idea in the first place, Blitz, just be patient," Dusk said.
"Fine,fine" He said with a groan.
"Hey, guy's stop your' yappin' he's knocking on to th' door to Elusive's place," Applejack whispered.
"Look! He's talking to... Butterscotch!? Whats he doing there?" Blitz said with confusion.
"Give me a second guys" Dusk said. His horn lit up as he recalled the sense improvement spell. It glowed with purple and his ears were shrouded, Applejack and Rainbow Blitz's ears were also surrounded with a purple glow. And suddenly, it stopped.
"What did ya' do to us, Dusk?" Applejack asked.
"Just a simple enhancement spell. I focused it all on our ears so now we hear them." Dusk answered.
"Um... Butterscotch I have something to tell you, but can we do it in a more private place?"
"Uh... well... sure, I guess"
"Ah, pony feathers! Looks like they're going inside." Applejack whispered.
"We won't be able to hear them if they go inside. Quick, up that tree!" Dusk said.
They galloped to a tree just outside Elusive's balcony. Blitz flew in head first while Dusk levitated himself up.
Applejack coughed loudly.
"Oh, sorry Applejack." Dusk said as he scratched the back of his head with a hoof.
"No harm done, haystack" Applejack responded as he was levitated up into the tree. The three stallions were looking at Bubble and Butterscotch, through the balcony doors, hearing every word.
"Well the thing is..." Bubble said with a low tone of voice. "I may be a teeny-tiny bit..." Bubble said trailing off.
Applejack face gave a confused look. Why did Bubble seem so shy?
[i"A tiny-whiney intsy-bitsy little-whittle..." Bubble said with a gulp.
Dusk was thinking the same thing as Applejack, it didn't seem at all like Bubble.
"I'M IN LOVE WITH A MARE" Bubble had yelled. Blitz was caught by surprise at this and did the only thing he could think of. Fly really, really fast.
He flew in head first, crashing into the pink stallion at top speed. He had blown it.
Dusk had face hoofed while Applejack tried to hide a hysteric laugh. Butterscotch had gone into a corner and put his hoofs above his head
With eyebrows high and mouth agape, Bubble asked "Blitz, what are you doing and why are on top of me?"
"Well it's a funny story, you see..." Blitz trailed off.
"What he means is, we've been following yah'" Applejack said, hopping of the tree and onto the balcony. "Sorry haystack, we didn't mean to invade on your personal space, we's were jus' worried, is all."
"Why were you all worried about me?" Bubble asked, a bit confused.
Butterscotch had come out of his corner by now.
"You were out of it, wandering the streets of Ponyville, it wasn't like you so me and Blitz decided to tail you and Applejack joined along the way" Dusk answered truthfully.
Bubble sighed. What friends he had.
What wonderful, caring and loving friends he had. He smiled, and then broke into a state of hysterical laughing.
The group all looked at each other and sighed, thinking the same thing.
"Same old Bubble Berry" with a smile on each of their faces, as they joined in on the laughter as well.
After about ten minutes of constant laughing. They stopped, somepony got the occasional giggle fit every minute or so.
Bubble's blush had returned to his face, but he was still smiling.
"Well, her name is... Pinkie Pie, and she's... well, she's very special. But I suppose that you'll have to see her to understand." The stallions nodded to each other. They left Carousel Boutique in single file, Bubble leading the way, bouncing as he went along, returning to his old ways. He couldn't wait to introduce Pinkie Pie to the guys.
While Butterscotch had completely forgotten about Alexanderite.
*Author's note*
Honestly how many of you thought that this would be the chapter
that Pinkie and Bubble finally get together?
I know the title is somewhat misleading, but he does confess.
Blueberry Muffins
The five stallions made their way to Sugarcube Corner with Bubble taking the lead. Dopey Hooves passed overhead carrying a mail sack and a small colt called Twerpy Hooves. He waved at the group, and the five stallions waved back. They trotted merrily down the road passing stands of different products. The pink colt was wondering how he would introduce Pinkie to the guys.
"Hey, Pinkie these are my nice friends. Would you like to meet them?" Bubble thought to himself.
"No,no,no. Too formal" Bubble said shaking his head. "Oh hey Pinkie, I brought my friends along, wanna say hi?"
No! Too casual!" Bubble thought as he shook his head "Arrgh!" He yelled out loud. Thinking was so hard, how did Dusk do this all the time?
"Uh, haystack? yall' alright?" Applejack asked. The other four stallions were all staring at Bubble. It was obvious that he was thinking about Pinkie. He's been badly love-struck. Really, really, really, badly love-struck. But Bubble was completely oblivious to his actions right now. He really wanted to introduce his friends to his lover.
"I'm fine Applejack, why'd you ask?" Bubble asked, looking a bit confused.
"Uh, yah' seem out of it," Applejack said with an awkward smile.
The other four stallions nodded in unison.
They trotted towards Sugarcube Corner talking about trivial matters. New books, Blitz often mentioning Dashing Dare, apples, animals, all sorts of things. Bubble mentioning Pinkie one or two times. Or three. Or four. Okay, probably more then ten times in five minutes. He couldn't help it. She was astonishing, she was beautiful, she was energetic. She was everything he wanted in a mare. Although she was him, he couldn't help it. Love was love. Sometimes it could be a curse, sometimes, it could be a miracle.
And then a thought came to Bubble.
"Hey Butterscotch, where is Elusive?" Bubble asked the yellow stallion.
"Oh, he went to Sugarcube Corner to get cake for some sort of meeting he was having with some other ponies" Butterscotch replied.
"How long ago was that?" Bubble asked.
"Oh, about an hour or two" Butterscotch replied seeing the confused face of Bubble. "Oh, did I say something wrong...?" he cowered.
Dusk realized what Bubble was going on about. "What Bubble means is that Elusive should have come home a long time ago because Bubble is here and not at Sugarcube Corner," Dusk explained to the other ponies.
"Maybe something happened to him!" Blitz suggested.
"But Pinkie might have opened the shop" Bubble proposed.
"Ah' can't think of a reason tha' Elusive would stay so long" Applejack replied.
"We better hurry! Something could have happened!" Dusk said with alarm.
The stallions looked at each other and broke into a run with Blitz and Fluttershy flying ahead.
~~~
Pinkie was putting the dough inside the oven and she set it to fifteen minutes. She watched it bake with excitement. Every time she baked cupcakes, she would feel a rush. Some sort of feeling that would make her sing .
Elusive had decided to stay and help with decorating the cupcakes. He didn't know how it happened. It started with Pinkie saying:
"Hey! Wanna try my new cupcake recipe?" and escalated from there.
Elusive was good at decorating the cupcakes, his precision with the icing was perfect. Every little detail was considered. A sprinkle of hundreds and thousands. Some sweets placed delicately placed. It wasn't hard compared to making suits, but in a way it was just fun. The different combination of colours. He also had to consider another thing that he normally didn't think of while making suits. The taste. His first attempt at a cupcake was absolutely beautiful but the first bite had sent him into a spasm.
"Silly, whats wrong with you?" Pinkie said as she took a bite. She started gasping for water.
"W-w-wat...er!" Pinkie gasped.
She ran to the sink, turned it on to full power and started gulping.
After about five minutes of non-stop drinking, Pinkie finally stopped. She turned to Elusive and gave a weird smile.
"Don't worry, although I don't know how it turned spicy, i'm sure that everypony would have made the same mistake, whatever it was,"
"Have you ever made a spicy cupcake?" Elusive asked, raising one eyebrow.
"Um, well no." Pinkie replied, scratching the back of her head.
"How about another try! I'm sure you'll get it sooner or later!" the pink mare said enthusiastically.
Elusive was determined to make this one perfect. He went into the front room where he had left some icing when Bubble, Dusk, Applejack and Blitz smashed through the door and fell in a heap on to the floor, followed meekly by Butterscotch.
"Umm... is everypony alright?" He whispered.
"We're okay haystack. Just ah' little tangled up, is all," Applejack said with a groan.
Elusive's eyebrows had skyrocketed. Then he sighed. "Something's gonna happen, I can feel it" he thought as he started untangling them with his magic, Dusk was too tired to use his magic after twenty minutes of solid running. It was amazing he could keep up with them. He spent too much time in books and not enough exercising. Now that they were all standing and seemed okay, Elusive had come up with some questions.
"What in the hay happened!?" Elusive blurted.
Bubble was first to speak.
"Elusive! We were so worried! We though something had happened to you because you weren't back at Carousel Boutique and I saw Butterscotch and I told him something and it turned ou- Uh... nevermind..." Bubble had stopped mid-sentence as he noticed the pink mare look into the room. A blush had made his way to his face.
"Uhh... nevermind..." Bubble said quickly.
Elusive's mouth dropped again and so did the others. Bubble stopping mid-sentence? You've got to be joking! This day was getting weirder and weirder.
Elusive looked back at the kitchen to see if Pinkie had come out. He just saw her head whiz around the corner before anypony else could spot her.
"I'll be right back everypony," Elusive said as he walked back into the kitchen. Everypony else was too focused on Bubble too notice him. He walked into the kitchen and saw Pinkie. She was just standing there.
"Hey Pinkie, Bubble's back, aren't you going to greet him?" Elusive asked the pink mare. She was working at Sugarcube Corner so she must know him.
"Oh, Uh... sure, i'll say hi in a sec!" Pinkie said, trying to sound preoccupied. She was mixing some eggs, but there was more on the floor than in the bowl. She was clearly nervous for some reason. Elusive summoned a blue mist that surrounded a nearby mop and it started wiping the floor around Pinkie.
"Are you okay?" Elusive asked. She seemed like a train wreck. It showed in her cupcakes. They were usually, perfectly round, brown around the edges, but becoming lighter towards the middle and seemed weightless. The batch she had just baked could have come out of a horror movie. They were lumpy, black like coal and had a strange smell that Elusive couldn't identify. There was no way he could work with that. It was like suits. If the fabric was terrible, it was hard to make anything good.
"I'm fine! Why'd you ask?" Pinkie said with a nervous smile. "Calm down Pinkie! He isn't in the room! Just calm down!" Pinkie thought to herself. She was slowly returning to normal. She had just noticed the cupcakes in the tray that she was carrying.
"Did I bake these?" Pinkie asked.
Elusive nodded.
"I might have been acting a little strange" Pinkie said, as if it was news.
"A little?" Elusive said as he looked at Pinkie with a strange look. "But, why?" He finally asked.
She looked around. She took a quick peek into the front room. The five stallions stood in a circle surrounding Bubble. They were shooting questions his way and he found it hard to answer them.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone." Pinkie Pie pleaded. "Pinkie promise?" she asked.
Elusive sighed and knew she meant the Bubble promise. "These relatives are so alike" Elusive thought to himself as he did the silly ritual.
She leaned closer and Elusive did the same. Her lips were nearly touching the white stallion's ear when she whispered:
"I think I'm in love with Bubble..." she whispered.
Elusive gasped. He had known that she was in love. That much was apparent. Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Dusk, even Butterscotch! That was fine, but to be in love with a blood relative, that was weird.
"But... you...Bubble...love..." Elusive found it hard to speak.
"I know it seems weird, but whenever I look at him, I get this feeling in my stomach. It sort of feels like when you're eating a cake but it that always tastes good and never makes you feel sick." Pinkie explained.
Elusive understood where she was coming from, but it just seemed wrong. But love was a cruel mistress. It could strike anypony at any given time. Elusive had experience in that department. And who was he to decide who a mare loves?
Elusive took a deep breath.
He put a hoof on the mare and said in a calm, reassuring voice "Pinkie, I've only know you for what? A couple of hours? And already I can tell that you're a beautiful, caring, optimistic, energetic pony. With a lovely singing voice if I may say so myself. Although I do not understand, I wholeheartedly think you should confess to Bubble. If you love him that much, then I'm sure he'll return your feelings."
As he finished, he smiled warmly at Pinkie.
"Shall I get Bubble now?" Elusive asked.
Pinkie felt a rush of confidence come over her. "Yes, please," Was her reply.
Elusive nodded and walked into the front room while Pinkie was mentally preparing herself.
"Calm down Pinkie, you can do this"
She could hear sounds from the front room and after ten minutes, Bubble walked into the kitchen after some persuasion from the five stallions. Blitz had told Elusive about Bubble's crush on some mare called 'Pinkie Pie'. Elusive was surprised at this and was about to tell them about Pinkie when he remembered the promise. He knew it was ridiculous, but a promise was a promise, and besides, it would be better if one of them confessed instead of Elusive telling them.
Elusive escorted Bubble into the kitchen and the five stallions were told to wait outside the confectionery shop. Something might happen and Elusive was picked because he was the only one that actually met Pinkie, aside from Bubble. He trotted gingerly into the kitchen with Elusive close behind, giving the occasional nudge.
They walked up to each other and looked deep into their eyes.
"Thank you so much Solaris!" Bubble thought to himself.
Pinkie was the first one to speak.
"Um...I...I...I" she started, breaking eye contact.
"You can do it Pinkie! I believe in you!" Elusive thought.
"I-I don't know how to make blueberry muffins!" Was what came out.
Elusive face-hoofed. This was going to be harder than he thought.
Blitz's Unexpected Predicament
Blitz's Unexpected Predicament
The five stallions were still standing outside Sugarcube Corner, waiting for Elusive to call them back in. They agreed and decided to wait outside until everything was good and Bubble had confessed to Pinkie. Whoever she was.
"Hey, y'know we still haven't seen this mare that Bubble likes!" Blitz complained.
Dusk just shrugged. "We'll see her when we see her, I suppose"
Blitz was becoming more and more impatient as every minute passed.
After about ten he put his hooves to his head and let out an ear-aching scream.
"ARGGGGGH! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" he yelled as he charged head first into the confectionery store before anypony could stop him.
They were all surprised at the outburst but after a long time of friendship, it was no surprise that this was going to happen sooner or later. They trotted in to see Elusive munching on a blueberry muffin with a tray in front of him, deep in thought. Or at least he was until Blitz came crashing in. He jumped slightly at the crash and breathed a sigh of relief when he realized it was just Blitz.
Luckily, nopony had decided to lock the door or something serious could have happened. Blitz harmlessly fell on his rump in the middle of the room. He inspected the damaged area and rubbed it with his hoof.
Elusive took another bite from his muffin. He had totally forgotten about the others.
The four stallions trotted in with a surprised look on each of their faces.
"Ah thought you was wit' Bubble and his marefriend" Applejack said.
"I was, but i needed some fresh air. You could cut the tension with a knife." The white unicorn replied as he pointed towards the kitchen.
"Well, that's great and all but where is this pony? We still haven't seen her!" Blitz complained to nopony in particular.
"I wouldn't go in there, if I were you. The atmosphere is unbearable!" Elusive warned.
Blitz ignored his warning and flew in. The others were more patient and decided to wait until they came out of their on accord and each took a muffin from Elusive's tray.
~~~
As soon as Blitz entered the kitchen, the first thing that hit him was her colour. Pink. It was incredible. Laughter and energy seemed to radiate from the pink mare. Her mane, bouncy, and seemed like candy floss. Her tail, matching her mane and complimented her figure. His wings closed and he fell to the floor. She turned around to inspect the sound and he got a good look at her face. Her lips were a deep shade of red and her eyes were the colour of the sky. When he looked into them, he felt like he was flying through the sky with the wonderbolts. An endless sky where he could do anything.
He was mesmerised.
He didn't register that Bubble was right next to him or the fact that she was the exact same as his friend. All he saw was her beauty. Her body, her flank, her mane, her tail.
"Are you okay?" Pinkie asked the cyan pegasus.
He was still on his rump. He blinked, finally noticing the eerie resemblance between the mare and Bubble.
"You... Bubble...same...pink " Was all he could utter.
Pinkie gave him a strange look, as if nothing was wrong. Bubble was standing right next to the colt.
He poked him with his hoof.
He sprung up in the air, his wings were flapping furiously and his eyes were focused on Pinkie.
"What's going on!? Why are there two of you!? What the hay is going on!?" Blitz yelled.
"And what are you?" He said with a menacing glare. He was acting headstrong, trying to hide his true feelings.
Pinkie cowered. She couldn't remember the last time she was yelled at this harshly. It wasn't nice.
Bubble stepped in front of Pinkie, full of rage. This was incredibly strange for the pony that loved to sing and dance. It was perplexing.
Bubble's eyes said everything and Blitz knew he had overstepped the mark. The pegasus hung his head in shame and spoke in a low tone.
"Sorry," he muttered. He wished he could turn back time and stop himself from doing all of that.
The cyan colt gave a hoof to Pinkie and she accepted it with a smile. The pegasus cheered up slightly at this.
Bubble's rage disappeared and was replaced by a grin.
"They're friends! Only three more to go!" He thought to himself.
As soon as Pinkie touched Blitz's hoof, a sense of pleasure erupted through Blitz. She wasn't scared and she's even smiling! He couldn't figure out this feeling but he didn't care. Pinkie was in front of him and she looked amazing.
So what if they looked the same? So what if they had the same cutie marks? So what if they have the same personalities? He didn't care about any of that. He had been infected with the Pinkie Pie virus like Bubble was. She was dancing in his head and partying in his heart.
She let go, seeing that Blitz didn't want to. It broke his small daydream and he awoke to reality. He took his hoof back and a blush made it's way across his face. He had never done that before! Even when he was fantasizing about Glida. He trotted out of the kitchen, deciding not to pursue the strangeness of the encounter. He had given Pinkie enough grief. He grabbed one of the last muffins and sat down in thought. What was this strange emotion he was feeling? It was a fizzing sensation in his stomach and a warmth filled him. It sent tickles down his spine and he couldn't help but smile every time it did. Pinkie was in his mind again.
To everyone watching Blitz, it was mysterious. He was deep in thought which was unusual enough, but he was blushing!? That was very, very weird. What was this strange creature that was called Pinkie Pie? A succubus? Some strange creature from the planet Zog? Thoughts swirled through the three stallion's minds while Pinkie was in the kitchen, trying to think of something to say to Bubble. Dusk signaled to Butterscotch and Applejack to come closer.
"Guys, we better be careful about this Pinkie Pie thing, or whatever it is," Dusk whispered. "Look at what it's done to Blitz, Elusive and Bubble!" He said as he pointed at Blitz and Elusive. Bubble was still in the kitchen, Blitz was fantasizing about the pink mare and Elusive was deep in thought about to to get Bubble and Pinkie together.
"Ah agree. Who knows wat' that thing is but if it can do that to Blitz then we better be careful" The farm pony said.
"But, what if... it's friendly? It might just do this on accident..." Butterscotch whispered.
"That may be, but we can't take a chance. We have to confront it!" Dusk said.
"Ah agree. Butterscotch?" Applejack said as he looked at the yellow pegasus.
"I...suppose" Butterscotch replied.
"So, what's the plan, Dusk?" Applejack inquired.
"We bring the pon- umm... whatever-it-is out of the kitchen and confront it. But i'll need a volunteer" The lavender stallion said as he looked at the two ponies.
Both of them looked unsure about this plan but trusted Dusk. Applejack gulped.
"Fine, Ah'll do it" He said and Butterscotch sighed with relief.
He crept quietly to the door, Elusive and Blitz were too deep in thought to notice him.
He peeked around the corner and had to bite on his hat to stop himself from screaming. It was Bubble, but... not Bubble. It was a mare! But she looked exactly like him. Her cutie mark, her mane, her everything! His eyes were wide and his jaw dropped. He crept back to the two stallions quickly.
"What happened?" Dusk asked.
"You'll never believe me so I'll just show ya. What was her name again?" Applejack asked.
"I think it's... Pinkie" Butterscotch answered.
"Okay," the orange stallion said as he walked back towards the kitchen.
"Miss Pinkie, Can you come out for ah' bit?" Applejack said and he stepped back towards the two other stallions. The pink mare stepped out of the kitchen and they got a good look at her. Applejack had to rub his eyes, even he didn't believe his eyes for a second. The two stallions were too speechless to say anything. Butterscotch's legs started to wobble and he eventually fell to the ground, eyes still fixated on Pinkie. Dusk just remained motionless. It took him a couple minutes of staring for his mind to start but all that came out was a jumble of words.
Blitz snapped out of his trance and just started staring at Pinkie. She didn't notice the cyan pegasus.
"Wha...pink...magic...Bubble...mare..." Dusk muttered.
Now that she wasn't in the same room as Bubble, her personalty returned to normal.
Pinkie gasped. She grinned at the three stallions that were looking at her. "My name's Pinkie Pie! Hi pony-that-looks-like-Applejack! Hi pony-that-looks-like-Fluttershy! Hi pony-that-looks-like-Twilight!" She said without taking a breath.
The lavender unicorn shook his head and tried to think straight but all that was in his head was questions.
"How could this happen? Why does she look exactly like Bubble? What is this magic?" .
Pinkie tilted her head and looked at the three stallions.
"Oh! Are we playing the staring game? I wanna play!" Pinkie said as she locked onto Dusk and widened her eyes.
"Why does she have the same personality as Bubble? Could she be Bubble? The thought came to him and it all made sense. That must be it! Bubble's been turned into a mare!
"Bubble, what happened to you? And why are you a mare?" Dusk asked with urgency. He had to write a letter to Prince Solaris right away! Transformation magic was never this strong!
Butterscotch slowly stood up.
"What are you talking about silly? Hasn't Elusive told you yet?" Pinkie asked the stallions who all looked at Elusive.
"Sorry everypony, I was slightly preoccupied with Pinkie's little...predicament" The white unicorn answered with embarrassment.
"Well i'm from another dimension and I went like ZAP-BOOM-WHIZ and i ended in... er...- here!" Pinkie said, almost compromising her special place.
Butterscotch fell to the floor again. His mind had been blown twice in one day. Dusk stared at Pinkie in disbelief, mouth agape and eyes full of shock. Applejack's hat fell off his head and he mirrored Dusk's expression. Elusive heard the same statement and couldn't believe that she was repeating that gibberish. But why? It couldn't be the truth. Or could it?
Elusive pondered for a second why she kept saying that. There was no good reason for her to be saying that. Unless she was telling the truth.
Blitz heard everything and although it shocked him, his eyes couldn't trail away from Pinkie Pie. She may be from another dimension, but Pinkie was still Pinkie. Beautiful.
There was an awkward silence.
Applejack was the first to speak.
"Well,this is ah' first" He said plainly.
What Happened In Equestria Pt. 1
What Happened In Equestria Pt. 1
The five stallions listened intently while Pinkie Pie told the story of how she had came to this alternate universe. Bubble stood by her side, just in case. She fumbled when he stepped into the room, but continued anyway. She didn't leave out a single detail.
The sky turned black when she told them about Limbo. Pinkie even told them about the strange looking, scary creature that appeared in Limbo and Andromeda the Alicorn. She even told them about her friends, Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash. That was when she broke down. She hadn't thought about her precious friends in days. The guilt had been plaguing her for a while but it was subdued by thoughts of Bubble Berry and this strange, new, exciting dimension. She had even forgotten them. Pinkie felt like she had betrayed her friends.
The five stallions knew it was time to leave when it happened and lowered their heads in respect to the sobbing mare. Blitz looked like he was about to burst into tears at one point and he almost did. Bubble didn't leave. Once the tears started he had moved in and embraced Pinkie in a hug. Droplets fell down her cheeks as she hugged Bubble back. She was grateful for the stallion's kindness and that made the love inside her grow.
"I...miss...my...friends..." Pinkie sobbed, struggling to get the words out.
It hurt Bubble to see his lover in this state and knew it was a time to do something. By this time, the five stallions were outside and heading home. He gave Pinkie a small, but affectionate kiss on her forehead. A blush made it's way across his face but Pinkie did nothing. She was still. He could feel her breathing as her chest slowly grew bigger and then smaller. All Bubble could hear was his own heartbeat and Pinkie's small breaths.
"Pinkie...?" He whispered quietly. He lifted her slightly and moved some of her mane that was covering her face. He saw she had her eyes closed. She seemed to have fallen asleep in Bubble's hooves. He smiled at the sleeping pony and gave another small, passionate kiss on her forehead.
He lifted her quietly on to his back and carried her to bed, smiling and blushing while he struggled up the stairs.
~A day ago, in Pinkie's Equestria~
Princess Celestia was walking in her palace gardens at night. She needed this every once in a while, nopony with her, guarding her or learning from her. Just her and nature.
The princess's mane was flowing with the breeze. Her snow white coat seemed out of place among the greenery of her gardens. With perfectly trimmed hedges, beautifully lush trees and energetic wildlife. A small sparrow landed on her back.
"Why, hello little one, having a nice night?" The princess asked the small bird.
The tiny bird chirped in reply. It lifted it's wings and looked like it was going to take flight.
And all of a sudden, she felt a wave of energy. An energy that was familiar, yet she couldn't figure it out. It was cold and sinister. It sent a chills down her spine.
Celestia galloped towards her castle. She was unsure of the mysterious force and a part of her was telling herself to turn around and forget about it but her royal duty to her subjects came first. She must find it and, if necessary, confront and destroy it.
Eventually, she reached the door that connected the garden and the castle, panting and sweating.
She cautiously opened the door and she expected to see two surprised looking guards, asking her if she was alright. However, all that greeted her was a dark and eerie corridor. The chandeliers that should have been casting light on the desolate hallway, appeared to have a gray flame on top of all it's candles. As if someone had sucked the light and warmth out of them
Celestia knew something was wrong at that point. Her horn began to glow, showering her surroundings her surroundings in a white light. She walked briskly through the corridor, daring something to jump at her. If only she knew what she was dealing with.
She was nearing the throne room when she first saw it. Two guards standing next to a door. She rushed over to them, full of joy over seeing another pony but she quickly regretted it. The two guards were made out of stone, their faces were contorted with fear and were stuck that way. Even their armor that was once made of gold was now stone.
The princess looked away in disgust.
"What kind of sick being could do that to a pony?" She asked herself, filling with rage.
She charged head-first into the throne room, ready to face whatever was the cause of this vile act of monstrosity. She couldn't have predicted what would happen next.
Stone statues littered the throne room, guard upon guard with different emotions plastered on their faces.
Terror. Anger. Sorrow. Madness. Distress.
Surely this couldn't have happened while she was in the garden?
"Ah, Celestia, I've been expecting you." The Draconiquis said with a smug look. He was sitting on Celestia's throne, a stone soldier on either side of him.
Holding back vomit, Celestia gave the creature a menacing look and muttered a single word. "Discord"
Draco sighed with contempt. "Not Discord. Draco. And believe me, I'm much, much worse than my son"
Celestia was taken aback by that remark. Nonetheless, she was still glaring daggers at Draco.
"Wonderful, isn't it?" He said, caressing the statue. "Art is the most beautiful thing in this world. And best of all, art isn't confined to 'paper' it's can be anything. And my art is best of all!" He said, arrogantly.
"And that is my best yet" he spoke proudly as he pointed towards a statue that was bigger than the rest of the ponies.
It was princess Luna.
Her face was pure rage and her hoof was pointing at Draco, as if she was reaching out to him. Her mane, which was once beautiful and silky, was now gray and was fixed into place. She stood on a pedestal, which was labeled "Moon"
It was stood next to an empty pedestal, labeled "Sun"
Celestia's horn was enveloped by a yellow mist. A nearby parchment and quill floated towards her at an amazing speed and she was surrounded by a purple force field.
Draco could easily break the hastily made barrier but he wanted her to send it, knowing exactly who the receiver was.
My most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle
I am in dire circumstances and need you and your fellow elements to come to Cantorlot right away.
A Draconequus named Draco has turned everypony into stone.
His powers are unknown but he is powerful.
However, only you and your friends can defeat him and save us all.
It pains me to rely on you and your friends again but you are our only hope.
For us, for Equestria, call upon the power of the Elements of Harmony again and defeat Draco.
I wish you the best of luck.
Princess Celestia
A yellow mist surrounded the letter and it disappeared into thin air. Celestia's barrier vanished and the glow around her horn stopped. She knew her defeat was imminent and there was no point trying. As long as the Elements of Harmony were present, Equestria was safe. It didn't matter what happened to her.
At which point, Draco let out a long, booming laugh that echoed throughout the throne room.
Celestia's face contorted in confusion. She must have done something, but what? Her mind responded with a blank.
Draco's laugh was fading away and he desperately wanted to go into the monologue that all villains went in to.
"You see Celestia, my dear, earlier today, as you may recall, your 'most faithful student' Twilight Sparkle was doing a simple spell to Pinkie Pie, and I just happened to be in the area, so I thought 'why not?' and I zapped Pinkie to Limbo! Just like that!" He snapped his fingers and began to chuckle. "And you'll never guess who I met~"
And it all clicked into place.
"You're the one that sent Pinkie to Limbo! And what did you do to Andromeda!?" She screamed, infuriated that she didn't have the slightest inkling about his plan.
"I should have known Twilight didn't have enough power to send Pinkie to that realm. I could have done something. And now, I've not only endangered my pupil and her friends, I've doomed Equestria" As Celestia thought this, her horn started glowing again and another parchment and quill shot towards her, however this time, it was intercepted by Draco.
"Oh no. Can't have you sending anymore letters to your precious pupil!" He said with a grin. He crushed both the quill and parchment in his hand, turning it into ash and slowly sprinkling it on top of one of the statues.
One question was plaguing Celestia's mind and before she was turned to stone, she had to know this one thing.
"What did you do to Pinkie Pie?" Celestia asked, spitting out the words.
Draco scratched his chin for a minute or so and replied.
"Honestly? I don't know." He replied with a shrug of the shoulders. "I kinda just threw her into any old dimension"
Draco couldn't care less about that bouncing ball of pink candy floss. The princess looked disgusted at Draco's response. Life was a petty thing in front of the violent creature.
"But let's stop stalling and get to the good part!" Draco said with ambition. "Shall we?"
He vanished, leaving dust and a purple haze behind him. Celestia felt something on her hooves. She looked down to see that they were slowly turning to stone. It was scary to slowly lose the feeling and she was losing hope, fast. Her mind was muddled and she couldn't think straight. But an old memory seeped it's way through Celestia's head and an idea came to her. It was a long shot but it was her only chance.
As her rump turned to stone, Celestia's horn started glowing.
"Hmmm? What are you trying to do now, my dear?" Draco said with a confused look. "No matter. Have fun in your last moments" As he started thinking of all the good things he could get.
As her neck turned to stone, Celestia was feeling suffocated and pumping all of her power into her horn. A single tear dropped from her eye as she became a statue. The once prestigious and beautiful princess of the sun, was now dull and wore an expression of great sorrow.
Draco examined his work. He levitated her on top of the pedestal labeled 'Sun' and chuckled to himself.
"Now all I need are some elements to brighten this place up" As he went to free Discord.
Mind Games
(What Happened In Equestria Pt. 2)
Twilight Sparkle lay awake in bed next to her friend, Fluttershy. Her friends had decided to stay the night to comfort Twilight if she needed it or if she tried something brash. On the bed opposite lay two sleeping mares that were Applejack and Rarity. The two ponies volunteered to sleep together since they had done so before. Rainbow Dash offered to sleep downstairs and even though Twilight objected, Rainbow insisted. Spike didn't seem to be affected too much. Although he was shaken by Pinkie's disappearance, he believed Pinkie would be okay, knowing the pink mare.
Twilight wished she could think the same. The purple mare couldn't go to sleep, no matter how hard she tried. Her mind was swirling with terrible thoughts and all the dangers that Pinkie could be in right now. A small tear formed in the corner of her eye.
"If only I hadn't use that spell, none of this would have happened. It's all my fault." Twilight thought glumly.
The unicorn got out of bed solemnly and walked towards the window, minimising the sounds of her hoofsteps on the wooden floor. She needed some fresh air. Luna's moonlight filled the room as Twilight opened the curtains and a small, relaxing breeze came in as she opened it. It did little to calm her nerves but she was grateful nonetheless. She gazed at the night sky and proceeded to look at the stars. She looked up and noticed something. Or rather, a lack of something. The night sky was completely empty. The only thing that could be seen in the sky was the moon.
Twilight's eyes widened with shock. She hesitantly stepped back from the window, as if it was something was going to attack her. Princess Luna would never make the mistake of forgetting the stars. What could it mean? Not looking where she was going, she tripped over Spike's basket, causing him to awake from his deep slumber.
"Rarity!?" He screamed causing Twilight to jump and wake up everypony else in the room. Sweat was pouring down his neck and he was panting heavily. Once he realised where he was and what he did, he turned a deep shade of red. Luckily everypony had been too drowsy to understand what he said, excluding Twilight.
The three mares sighed when they finally noticed Twilight standing next to Spike's basket.
"Come on, sugarcube. We've got a big day head' of us." Applejack said, stifling a yawn.
"Yes, darling. One cannot afford to lose their beauty sleep" Rarity added.
"I know, but..." Twilight said, with a solemn look on her face
"C'mon., get to bed. We're gonna be looking fer' her in the mornin' and we'll need plenty of energy"
"I guess you're right" Twilight said with a sigh.
Fluttershy moved a bit so Twilight had more room. The unicorn smiled at the pegasus and tucked herself in, bringing the bed sheets to her neck. The others did the same, and the room was quiet once again. Twilight closed her eyes, hoping the sweet grasp of sleep would come, but she wasn't so lucky. Just as she was about to drift off, a green flame lit up the room, and finished with Spike holding a letter.
"Consarnit' Spike! Can't you keep-" Applejack yelled, but quickly stopped once she realised who the sender was.
Twilight pondered about the reasons that would make her mentor send a letter at this time of night, but once she had finished reading the letter, her face was the definition of terror. She read the letter over and over again, not believing the information that was pouring into her head.
"Is everything alright, darling? You seem awfully pale" Rarity said, genuinely worried for her friend.
Twilight read out the letter from her mentor and they all shared look that Twilight felt when she had first read the letter. Fluttershy hid under the covers, as if they could repel all the bad things. Applejack tried to remain calm and composed but she was nibbling on her hat. Rarity's eyes widened and her mouth was agape. She was pale and looked like she was about to faint, while Rainbow Dash's snores could be heard from downstairs.
"But what are we gonna do without Pinkie?" Twilight blurted.
"Well, sugarcube, looks like we're gonna hafta' face this one wit' out her"
~~~
"So let me get this straight. You woke me up so that we could beat some bad guy, save Equestria, get a big celebration and go home?" Rainbow asked no one in particular.
"Yes" Twilight replied.
"There's only one thing that I don't understand. Why couldn't we wait until morning?" Rainbow Dash said with annoyance in her voice.
"We had to! The princess said that this was important!"
"Can you please keep yer' voices down. We're almost there!" Applejack whispered harshly.
The city of Cantorlot came into view. The magnificent city which housed many ponies, which included many famous ponies. The once beautiful city was dark and quiet. Even if it was late, there should have been some light on.
Twilight built up her magic and teleported herself and her friends into the city, causing a flash of purple light. The group materialised in the middle of the city.
The street lamps were off, and everything seemed to have a gray tint, as if the life had been sucked out of the city. The street was deserted, nopony could be seen and there was an eerie quiet that was unnatural for such a big city.
The five mares wandered down the street, packed together, heading towards the Princess Celestia's castle.
"Ah don't like the looks of this, Twi'". Applejack said with hesitation, which was a first for the mare.
Twilight scanned the street for movement. You'd think that if something bad happened, there would be some destruction. Yet there was nothing. The streets were immaculate. Nothing tipped over, no broken windows or broken-down doors, not even litter on the streets.
"Is anypony here!?" Twilight called out, hoping for any kind of response.
Rainbow Dash swooped in and clamped a hoof over Twilight's mouth.
She looked around before hissing "Are you crazy!? We don't know what's out there!"
"Calm down, darling, we must work together for this mission to be successful, even if we are one pony short" Rarity said, looking a touch saddened.
They all thought of the pink, party pony and couldn't help but wish she was here right now.
After around twenty minutes of walking through the desolate city, they reached the royal castle, which housed Princess Celestia and Luna. Normally, the castle would be well lit and very inviting, it's magnificence showering Canterlot and putting many mansions to shame. However, like the rest of the buildings, it seemed to have a gray tint and seemed to radiate and sense of dread.
Twilight gulped and took a step forward. She pushed on the giant doors which revealed a dark, winding corridor, which seemed strangely long for the castle. Fluttershy was cowering at the back and emitted a small "eep!"
Twilight took the first step forward. Her horn started glowing, causing a her surroundings to light up. She made her way forward with a gulp and the group followed behind her, Fluttershy trailing behind.
The group of mares walked cautiously towards the main throne room, constantly looking around for something that wasn't there. The corridors were pitch black with only Twilight's light illuminating the walls around her. It was unnerving and Fluttershy was slowing down.
"Come on Fluttershy! Keep up!" Rainbow yelled with a hint of annoyance.
"Don't worry sugarcube! We'll be right next to ya'" Applejack said in a reassuring tone.
"Okay..." Fluttershy replied meekly.
The yellow pegasus hurried back to the group, but something caught her eye.
"Angel?"
It appeared to be her bunny rabbit, however he was glowing gold. He had an impatient look on his face and was tapping his foot.
"What are you doing here?" Fluttershy asked in a calming voice.
The rabbit bolted as soon as Fluttershy trotted in his direction.
"W-wait!" Fluttershy yelled as she chased after her glowing pet.
Rainbow turned her head when she heard the sound of her friend yelling. She just got a glimpse of Fluttershy's rear before it disappeared into the darkness.
The rest of the group reacted slower than Rainbow Dash and didn't manage to see what had happened, however they did notice that they were one pony short.
"What happened!?" asked Twilight to nopony in particular.
"It was Fluttershy! she ran off in that direction!" The cyan pegasus said as she lifted her hoof towards the place where she managed to get a glimpse of her.
"B-but Rainbow Dash, that's impossible. You're pointing at a wall"
~~~
Fluttershy's wings ached as she flew after the bunny. She had been flying for about five minutes but a pony like her wasn't used to these hard, enduring tasks. However, Angel wasn't even breathing hard.
He was running at a steady pace that was the same speed as Fluttershy's flying. After a few more minutes of flying, Fluttershy's wings were begging her to stop and eventually she listened. Her hooves touched the ground, or so she thought. Once the yellow pegasus looked down, she saw... nothing. No floor, no walls, no nothing. Just darkness.
The timid pegasus emitted a loud squeal and trotted slowly backwards towards more darkness. The endless darkness.
"No! This can't happen! Where am I?" She whimpered, close to tears.
She ran forward, tears rolling down her cheeks. She ran left, right, forwards and backwards, she flew high and low but there was no end to the darkness.
However, for the timid pegasus, that wasn't the worst part. While the dark was terrifying it was nothing compared to her biggest fear, second only to dragons. And that fear was being lonely. Nopony to share her feelings with, to talk too, to hug. Nopony to comfort her fears.
The pony's mind was swirling with thoughts that plagued her, slowly driving her into madness.
Will I be here forever? Will I ever see my friends again? Am I going to die?
After what felt like an eternity, she fell to the ground (or what seemed like a flat surface) and silently wept, with a small, demented smile on her face.
~~~
"We can't just leave her!" Rainbow pleaded "She might be in pain right now!"
"Ah agree! Fluttershy ain't a strong pony like us!" added Applejack.
"That may be true but we can't risk going to find her! Something might happen to us!" Twilight countered.
"We have to be rational about this! Haven't you heard the expression 'Live to fight another day'?" Rarity said.
The mares were in a heated debate about Fluttershy. The group was split cleanly in half for 'for' and 'against'. All the while, the group was running out of time. The dark corridor echoed with their voices.
"We gotta look fer' her!"
"We must stay true to our task!"
"She's all by herself! Fluttershy! All by herself!"
"The princesses are counting on us!"
They glared at each other, the magic of a certain being sprinkling on them, causing resentment and fear to bloom in their hearts. They were divided and nothing would bring them back together. Or would it?
"This is getting crazy!" The cyan pegasus screamed, clutching her head. "I'm gonna look for her myself!"
She flew off at maximum speed, gritting her teeth and hoping for the best. It was so sudden that Twilight and Rarity didn't react fast enough to catch her with their magic. All they saw was a blue figure disappearing into the darkness.
~~~
The rainbow maned pegasus flew as fast as she could for as long as she could. However, maintaining a 400mph speed for an extended period of time is an incredible feat and she was soon slowing down.
She came to a stop in the middle of the corridor, squinting her eyes and trying to look around. It was futile, as everything was pitch black, so she ended up against the wall, feeling for anything that would help her locate her friend, Fluttershy. She didn't know if it would help, but she was tired and was running out of ideas.
After a couple of minutes of stumbling and cursing, a small light began to emit from the end of the corridor. Her wings were still tired from flying so she ran as fast as she could, happy to be able to see something. Upon closer inspection, she noticed a curved figure that resembled a pony.
"Fluttershy!" She yelled triumphantly.
As the cyan pegasus ran towards the bright light and her friend, the pegasus seemed to disappear behind something. Nevertheless, she kept running until she was right in front of the glowing light. It was blinding her and she held a hoof up to her eyes. It came out of a narrow door way while the door itself hung ajar.
The loyal pony entered hesitantly, eager to find her friend. As she stepped in, the door slammed shut behind her which caused her to jump a little.
"Hello? Fluttershy? Are you there?" She yelled.
She was in an abyss, yet it was completely white. She looked around, not sure what to think or do. Luckily, the door behind her still remained. It was untouched and floating, like herself. She hesitantly reached out to it, unsure of where it would lead her.
"What am I thinking? Where else could it lead me but back to the corridor?" She thought to herself, however she couldn't get rid of that inkling of doubt in her mind.
She gripped the knob with both hooves and pulled slowly. She gulped and peeked at the other side of the door. To her surprise, it replied with the interior of Twilight's library.
The cyan mare looked puzzled but relieved. At least it wasn't some pony-eating dragon or something. She walked through, looking around. She saw her five friends, standing side-by-side, including Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. She ran up to the two mares and grinned wildly. She gave them an uncharacteristic hug with unexpected consequences.
"What are you doing?" Shouted Pinkie Pie.
"Get off of me!" Yelled Fluttershy.
They pushed the mare off and she fell to the floor with a loud thump. The mare had a bewildered look on her face as she stared at the two ponies, who were growling at her. Fluttershy, a kind and loving pony and Pinkie Pie, an excitable and friendly mare had just refused a hug.
As soon as she regained her senses, she shot up and faced the two ponies.
"What was that for, huh?!" Barked Rainbow Dash. "I was worried about you two! As soon as I saw you, I was so happy! And then yo-"
That was as far as she got until she felt a sharp pain on her body. She soon found her hooves had left the ground as she tumbled into a bookshelf. She was assaulted by encyclopedias and dictionaries but that was nothing to the pain she felt in her rib cage. It felt like she had just been hit by a hammer. Something was definitely broken.
She looked up to see an orange pony smirk at her. She had an evil glint in her eye as she stared back at the cyan mare.
"Oh I'm sorry. Did tha' hurt?" She asked sarcastically.
The pony laid a hoof on Rainbow's wing. Just the weight of the hoof managed to send waves of pain. A pegasus's wings are her most precious and most sensitive part of her body. Applejack applied more pressure until Rainbow was screaming in agony. Tears streamed down her face as the four other ponies surrounded her.
"W-w-why?" She managed to say between the sobs and gasps.
"Why? It's because we're tired of you, Rainbow Dash" Twilight snarled.
"We hate how you look and how you act!" Added Rarity.
"You don't mean a thing to us now!" snorted Pinkie.
"This friendship is officially over" Fluttershy said in a matter-of-fact way.
Applejack just smiled at her, which just made the pain hurt more.
Mercifully, Applejack lifted her hoof off of her wing. The five mares walked away without looking back. As soon as they were gone, Rainbow Dash looked back at the door. Although the bruises on her body and her broken ribs hurt, they were nothing compared to the pain she felt in her heart.
*Author's notes*
Sure has been a while, hasn't it?
I know, I know, I've been a bad person and I am truly sorry for it!
If you haven't read my blog post about it then here it is.
And I totally haven't been playing video games non-stop for the past couple of weeks. Especially Man vs Machine
Anyway, hope you enjoyed!
We Always Party Hard!
Pinkie Pie bounced down the street, humming her favorite tune . She passed Lyra, a green unicorn with a passion for music, and Bonbon, a yellow earth pony with an affection for sweets, having a little nuzzle.
She grinned.
She walked up to Golden Harvest’s stand and bought a couple of carrots.
The mare that Pinkie walked up to was an earth pony with a yellow coat and orange mane.
“That’ll be 5 bits please!” Harvest said with a grin. Pinkie put 5 bits in the small box and threw 1 bit at Harvest.
“A tip for your Deeeeeee-licious carrots!” Pinkie responded. Harvest blushed and gave a wave as Pinkie hopped away.
“lalala laaaa !” Pinkie hummed.
“Hey Fluttershy! Watcha’ doing?”
“Oh! Well… the food for Angel is running out and I needed some more chicken feed”
“Need a hoof?” Pinkie said with a smile.
“Not now, but I’ll be sure to call you if I do, that is… if you don’t mind…” Fluttershy responded
"What do you mean silly-billy! I always help my friends!"
"Oh! thank you, really. I have to go now, Angel's stomach is probably scaring the other animals by now" Fluttershy said with a hint of a smile.
"Okie-dokey-lokie!" and with that, she bounced away.
She stopped at Applejack's stand and ordered 10 apples and an apple fritter. Shopping always made her hungry.
"Here ya' go, 10 of mah' finest apples and a loverly apple fritter! that'll be 7 bits please!"
Pinkie reached for her purse, only to notice that she was 1 bit short.
"Sorry AJ, no apple fritter for me"
Applejack gave her a strange look.
"But yah' always get some sort ah' treat when you come an' buy ma' apples"
"Sorry AJ," She showed her her purse.
Applejack sighed.
"How's about I let you off, jus' this once"
"Really Applejack? thankyouthankyoutjankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou! "
"Think nothin' of it, your ma' precious friend!"
"Thanks Applejack! see you tomorrow!"
"Bye! get home safe, sugarcube!"
She hopped towards Sugarcube Corner at a steady pace.
She opened the door and noticed that the place was empty with a note from Ms Cake.
Dear Pinkie
We had to leave on urgent business, your cousin, Sweet Tooth has had a serious accident and we have
been asked to come and help, we know we can count on you, as you did such a splendid job with the kids before.
We'll be back soon
Cup Cake xx
Pinkie threw the bags on to the counter and continued upstairs to check on the babies.
They were sleeping soundly and their cute little snores gave Pinkie a feeling of joy from which she could
not help but smile.
She trotted out of the back door into the back garden and gave a quick glance around. Once she was sure there was no one around, she moved some of the bushes which revealed a lever which would be very hard to find, unless you knew what you were looking for. Pinkie pulled the lever which opened up a hole that could barely fit Pinkie, yet she jumped head first.
The hole closed straight after she jumped in.
She slid down a winding slide which was surprisingly comfortable.
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
She hit the bottom and a fluffy mattress broke her fall. She was in a dark place. It had no carpet, no wallpaper, no pictures.
It was a hole in the ground. Nothing special. A very big rabbit hole. She hugged the wall looking for a switch. She had managed to hook it up to Sugarcube Corner without the Cakes noticing. Once she found it, a small light bulb shone and she could see. The rabbit hole was incredibly big. Pinkie remembered when she first found this place. She was ecstatic.
She walked for a minute or so and came to a box. The metal box was the first of it's kind and how it got there, she would never know. But she couldn't care less. She pressed a few buttons and twiddled a few knobs until a few sounds started to come from the strange contraption.
WHEN IT'S TIME TO PARTY WE WILL PARTY HARD
Pinkie started to dance.
An instrumental came on.
She shook her head wildly while playing air guitar.
You work all night (all night)
And when you work you don't feel all right
And when,
When things stop feeling all right (all right)
And everything is all right
She started singing at the top of her voice.
She knew all the words.
'Cos we will never listen to your rules (no)
We will never do as others do (no)
Know what we want and we get it from you
Do what we like and we like what we do
She was stamping her hooves on the ground.
Luckily, she was so deep underground that nopony could hear her. She had done all "them fancy mathematics" as Applejack would have said and she was completely safe. No one could hear her. If somepony found out, it would be so embarrassing.
And then the chorus came on.
So let's get a party going (let's get a party going)
Now it's time to party and we'll party hard (party hard)
Let's get a party going (let's get a party going)
When it's time to party we will always party hard
Party hard (party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard, party hard...)
She ADORED this song.
All right
You,
You fight that fight
And when you're fightin' you feel all right
But when,
When things stop feeling all right (all right)
And everything is all right
Sweat dripping from her brow as she continued to kick her legs wildly as the song was almost at it's end.
The chorus repeated once more and the song ended.
She was sweaty but happy.
She looked at the big metal box that she found a year ago, she was so grateful that she could experience this wonderful feeling of pleasure.
She climbed out of her sacred place and walked back inside Sugarcube Corner, Grinning to herself. She made another quick check on the two babies. Both asleep. Perfect. She walked back down to the counter and slipped the sign to 'Open'
She sat at the counter and started her job. She felt energized as her first customer walked in.
"Hello what would you like? We've got everything from cupcakes to cranberry cake! Oh, hi Twilight!"
"Hey Pinkie Pie, I want to ask a favor of you. Can you drop by the library later, we need to talk."
"What for Twi'?"
"It's a really big favour, please Pinkie, I'm kinda in a rush"
"Okie-doky-lokie!"
"Oh, and a sapphire cupcake for Spike"
~~~
Knock Knock
"Yes?"
"Hey Spike, Twilight said she needed me, for some kind of thinga-ma-jig"
"Come on in, I guess" Spike said."Sorry, I'm in the middle of cleaning the place, again."
"No problemo! I'll just wait here!"
It was five minutes until Twilight came down.
"Sorry Pinkie, I was upstairs reading this interesting book."
"It's alright Twilight! Why did you want me here?"
"Well..." Twilight paused. " I was wondering if I could test a spell on you. Is that okay?"
"Sure Twilight! That's what friends are for!" She grinned a toothy grin at Twilight.
"Tell me if it hurts 'kay? I don't like hurting some of my best friends"
"Will do Twi'!"
Her Horn had become covered with a glowing purple light that was steadily becoming bigger and brighter.Spike had been listening to the conversation and gasped with amazement at the light show.Pinkie started glowing and was slowly being lifted from the ground.
"Wow Twilight! this is amazing~" Pinkie gasped.
Then at once, it all stopped and Twilight fell with a THUD!
"Sorry Pinkie, I guess I messed i-"
The purple mare stopped abruptly and stared at the space that Pinkie used to be.
She was gone.
Poof.

Has Draco won?
Draco and Andromeda were locked into a tiring battle.
After Pinkie had been zapped away, Draco had continued to talk on. He had gone into a monologue that most villains do when something goes there way. He had removed the Element of Laughter and planned to take over Equestria. He didn't care what happened to Pinkie, as long as she wasn't in his way. Andromeda could not take it. She charged.
Draco was stronger than Andromeda.
She knew that. But she had to stall. Anything to stop Draco.
She knew that she was at the end of her rope. She could only bluff.
"What's wrong Draco? Getting tired?"
"Oh please Andromeda, stop acting. We both know, I will win this silly little duel"
Andromeda cursed silently under her breath.
She was breathing heavily.
"I want to play with you more, I really do!" Draco said in a stroppy voice.
"But I must stop as I have a dimension to conquer, so au revoir!"
Draco clicked his fingers and a blue ball of pure energy appeared in his hand. Even Draco found it a task to control this thing. He threw it at Andromeda and she gasped. It was pure destruction magic. She put up several force fields but it broke through them with ease. Andromeda tried to dodge but it was too fast. It struck her wing and split the wing apart. Only Princess Celestia could heal a tricky wound like that. She hit the ground with a thud.
"Oh dear! what a mess!" as he stepped into the pool of blood.
"Poor, poor, poor Andromeda, you may never fly again" as he summoned a napkin and pretended to wipe his eyes.
"Finally, this is goodbye, for the last time. ciao!" Draco said in a cheerful mood.
Andromeda lay there in a pool of her own blood, panting and gasping while Draco focused his power on opening a portal to Equestria. He slipped through the portal. Just before he left, he gave a quick wave and a smirk.
"So this is the end Andro' eh'?" she was talking to herself.
"If only i could see Tirion again, that would make it all better"
And with that, she blacked out, a tear rolling down her cheek.
~~~
Pinkie had stayed with her double. They just... talked. No crazy party plans, no food fights or such. Just... talking.
I know, right?
Anyway, they just talked about mundane things, recipes, favorite foods, even there own worlds. They had pretty much figured out that they were from different worlds. But that didn't stop a fizzing sensation in both ponies. It was as if something was gripping at Pinkie's stomach and did not want to let go. Whenever she looked Bubble in the eye, she would blush and look away. She had never felt that way about anypony before. She was a little scared. Bubble was funny, kind, generous and
knew how to have a nice time.
Eventually, they had to leave. Bubble brought Pinkie inside Sugarcube corner. Miss (or was it Mr?) Cake wasn't back from her trip to see Sweet Tooth. Pinkie had thought of the twins and insisted on seeing them. Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake were sleeping soundly, It was tricky to tell the difference in genders because they were only about two months old, but Pinkie could tell.
Pinkie smiled sweetly in their direction. Bubble looked at Pinkie while she was adoring the sleeping babies.
"She looks so cute" Bubble thought to himself,
"Wait, this isn't like me, normally i would be buzzing around, planning a 'welcome to Ponyville!' party. What's wrong with me?"
"Is something wrong Bubble?" Pinkie asked as Bubble came out of a daze.
"What? Oh, nothing, nothing" Bubble said.
He was blushing as he showed her the guest room.
"Well, here it is, although you probably already knew that, heh heh"
"What are you doing? Get a hold of yourself Bubble! That was stupid"
Pinkie giggled, Bubble's internal struggle was showing through, although she had no idea what he was thinking about.
"What's so funny?" Bubble said as he noticed Pinkie's giggling. He smirked.
"Oh, nothing!" Pinkie said, looking away while a blush had etched it's way across her face.
She slowly turned towards the guest room.
"Goodnight, see you in the morning," Pinkie hurriedly shut the door. Once she was out of sight she let out a sigh.
"That was... different" she said to herself, panting slightly.
~sigh~
"Goodnight" Bubble was speaking to the door.
He sighed and walked to his room.
He fell on his bed and hugged his pillow
"I wish I could know what she felt, life's one heck of a roller coaster."
With his head in the clouds, he eventually drifted off to sleep, a small smile on his face as Pinkie invaded his dreams.
~~~
~The day before, when Pinkie had been magicked by Twilight~
An expression of true terror had made itself welcome on Twilight Sparkle's face. The purple mare had only meant to make Pinkie teleport to the other side of the room. Yet she was nowhere to be found. When she performed the spell, it was true that she felt as if someone had hijacked her spell at the last moment, but she thought nothing of it. She had devoured book after book to try and get Pinkie back. She had called her friends, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Applejack. They had formed pairs and gone to look for Pinkie Pie. She might have just been flung to the Everfree forest or on the outskirts of Ponyville. Rainbow and Fluttershy were taking a bird's eye view while Rarity and Applejack were searching for the pink mare on the ground.
"Pinkie! Where are you? Come out, come out!" Rainbow dash called as she swiftly scanned the forest from above. Fluttershy following her at a meek pace.
"Pinkie Pie, could you come out, if you don't mind..." Fluttershy squeaked.
Rainbow groaned, of all the peagsi, it had to be Fluttershy.
Rarity screamed.
"Of all the things, this. Is. The. Worst. Possible. Thing!"
She had stepped in some mud.
"Oh stop yah' whining Rarity. There's some more important things on ma' mind right now" Applejack had said with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
"We's has' gotta find Pinkie Pie!" Applejack had repeated for about the 100th time.
"Yes, yes, darling" Rarity responded, magicking a napkin and wiping her hoof.
They were nearing the swamp.
It was turning dark and the trees started to look more and more eerie as time went by.
"Applejack, we must head home, it isn't safe to stay out here at night" Rarity said to Applejack.
"But, what about Pinkie Pie?" Applejack said with a growl.
"It's getting dark fast, my dear, it isn't safe!" Rarity pleaded.
"Exactly! Pinkie Pie is out thar' somewhere, scared and lonely!"
"Pinkie wouldn't want us to hurt ourselves for her, she would be devastated."
Applejack hadn't thought of that and sighed.
"Ah' suppose your right" she said with her head low.
"Good, good. We'll continue searching in the morning" Rarity said, almost sounding cheerful.
They made their way towards the library.
~~~
Twilight was going crazy with worry for her friend. She was frantically speed-reading every book that had a link with teleportation spells when Applejack and Rarity walked in, Followed closely by Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.
"Any luck?" Twilight said.
"Nope" Applejack said bluntly while Rainbow just shook her head.
"Oh..." Twilight said, not bothering to hide her disappointment.
"Well, that's okay. We can try again tomorrow, you can all go home now girls," Twilight said, in a glum mood.
As they were leaving, Fluttershy saw a tear form and drop down Twilight's cheek.
She instantly flew towards her and started comforting her.
The rest of the ponies knew that it wasn't time to leave yet. Each of them settled by Twilight, moving some books out of the way, and started comforting her.
"It's all my fault" Twilight said as she started bawling.
It was hard not to cry at that moment. Fluttershy started sobbing too.
"There, there, sugarcube" Applejack said, as the tears started to form.
"It's not your fault, darling" Rarity said, trying to sound reassuring, she did not succeed.
Rainbow Dash was putting up a front while her eyes glazed over.
"You bunch of saps! We'll find her tomorrow, you can count on it," While she was wiping her eyes with her hoof.
"Thank you everypony" Twilight managed to say "Thank you for being my friends" As tears streamed down her face.
~Somewhere in the distance~
.
Draco stepped out of the portal with an evil grin.
"Eqeustria! You shall soon be mine!"
And an evil, crackly laugh followed.
*Author's note*
Believe it or not, I had a lot of fun writing this chapter
Oh, and by the way, if anyone is wondering, Andromeda is not Celestia's mother.
If you are saying "But why is Pinkie/Bubble so withdrawn?"
I tried to come at it with the perspective of a lover
If you were in front of the person you had a crush on
would you act normally?
