"Princess, it is time to go to your royal bedchambers." Celestia looked through a window then at the white unicorn guard for but a second.
"Of course, the day has been quite a nice one, am I right Song Comet?" she loved looking through the window seeing the happy ponies playing.
"It sure has Princess," he said, "the day has been just perfect, shall we escort you to the bedchambers?" Comet bowed to his ruler as she approached him.
She simply nodded and began to walk, Comet soon joining her to the bedchambers. The sun was still betting on his hooves as the Night Princess had yet to lower the beautiful sun to make way for the night.
Comet again bowed to Celestia the ruler of Equestria and the raiser of the sun. "Goodnight Mister Comet," the serine voice giving a slight warm feeling to Comet's emotions.
"Goodnight Princess, I shall wake you in the morning," Comet said his pale white coat getting blown on by the open window inside Celestia's chambers.
"Good, I relieve you of your duties for the day," she added walking to her bed closing the door in one swipe of her magic.
Song Comet smiled he hadn't ever been done this early! He wondered what the Night Walkers will do once all of his Day Walkers are gone. He loved the whole "Day Walker" and "Night Walker" idea that some-pony said. Who would attack at night? Song let out another sigh as a realization hit him: he's board and a bit hungry too. He shrugged the fact he was up all day and no lunch break kind of got to him. Song walked to the door leading to the kitchen.
He stopped realizing he isn't a guard at this moment; he's been relieved of duty, however, he has no bits, and it's a long walk home. He shrugged his shoulders. He showed an emotion in his face - disappointment was shown. "I guess, I'll wait till, I get home."
Comet jumped as he heard a voice speak over her shoulder: "Thou hungry?" it was the Night Princess, Comet didn't even respond before his stomach answered for him. He blushed lightly as it did.
He looked to the stones; he'd never noticed how polished they were, shining from even in the dim night's light. "Eh. . . yes, I haven't eaten anything today," he admitted his hooves shuffling a bit.
Princess Luna tossed him half an apple. "There you go," she smiled, "I insist don't worry, we have plenty." Luna chuckled as Comet did as told and took bites out of the apple.
"Thank you Princess, I appreciate it." Comet took yet another bite of the juicy apple it must've been from Ponyville's very own Apple Family.
Luna walked off and left him alone. He walked to the castle's gate and past. He brought his hoof in front of him. "Raining? I didn't know that today was supposed to rain." Song Comet shrugged that off and kept walking to his house. Opening the door he was tackled by younger unicorn filly.
"Hi daddy!" the filly hugged tightly.
He smiled his heart warming as his white daughter next to her ash gray brother standing by her. "Hi Sweet Song, and hi Song Comet Jr. how's it going?" Comet took his golden helmet off smiling at the young duo. He yawned loudly soon seeing his loving wife; Wisp Wake, her horn glowing similar to Rarity's blue magic, her coat same as his young son Song Comet Jr. and her eyes also similar to Rarity's blue.

Song Comet sat at the dinner table. "So, Song Comet, how was school?" he quizzically raised his eyebrow not getting a word from him.
The cadet young stallion looked to the pale white stallion. "Everything's fine," he wore something unnatural to him; a large pair of black glasses.
He tilted his head. "Why do you have those on Comet?" Song asked his newly made adult who looked up at him.
He ignored the question and continued picking at his food. Suddenly his thick glasses encased in a crimson red aura. He hasted backwards, his own gray aura desperately fighting back his soupier, failing of course. He fell to the ground and got up showing a large gash on his face. It was dripping slightly.
Silence filled the room except for the sounds of the rain gutter dripping water to the ground. The scar was not a normal one. "What happened Comet!?" his mother ran to him in worry.
He looked down. He was silent. "That's not important, I'm going to my room," Comet rose to his hooves stopped by his father.
"Did you request it or did you declare it?" he hissed at his son in anger at him.
The stallion kept silent. "I'm declaring it."
Comet touched his own wound. Without letting any-pony else respond he ran to his room.
Three hours later
Song got into bed; getting snuggled up under his covers. He tried not to think of his son's outburst. Wonder what got into him. . . He's never seen Comet disobey an order. He closed his eyes for a moment. A crash soon followed his eyes shutting. His house was just as before. He ran downstairs in an orderly fashion yet he was old. Song saw some-pony though it was only his daughter. "Sweetie, what are you doing up at this time, it's past your bedtime," he pointed a hoof upstairs not seeing the filly respond. "Honey, you all right?" he asked he walked closer and closer to his weeping daughter.
He was finally at her hooves. He heard muttering many times actually. He hugged the filly tightly. "What's wro-" he was cut off by a sharp pain as the filly bit him. That, however, wasn't the end. He then saw how his daughter's white coat was blacker and her eyes. God the eyes! Her eyes were all black and she was crying blood.
"Help . . . me," the filly's voice spoke the one bite seemed to have dealt more damage than first anticipated. He fell to the ground.
"NightFall will rise," a familiar voice spoke, walking in front of him. "And Equestria will fall and NightFall shall rise!" the male pony up roared, his coat even grayer than before. "Song Comet?" he weakly spoke more words catching in his throat.
"NightFall will rise. . . again!" the stallion jumped at him his teeth jagged sharp as were Sweet Song's. He jolted awake. He laid back as he realized it was a dream. "Thank Celestia - it was so real though," he tapped his wife's shoulder . . . soon regretting it as her eye sockets were gone and her eyes bleeding as if she were crying. He was of course lunged at, he clenched his eyes shut and let out a mighty scream.
Next time on Fallen Empire: Blood Tears. . .
"Hang on dad!" said Song Comet holding his father's hoof.
"It's too late my son," he said tears welling from his eyes.
"How could this happen!?" Comet wondered almost hissing it.
"Ask the Princesses; ask them about one known as NightFall."
"NightFall was a ruthless ruler, taking his throne by force, we hoped this never too happen, he controls dreams, turns them to nightmares. . . We fear . . . he may have risen to reclaim his throne. . .”
