Last time on Fallen Empire: Blood Tears

Song Comet sat at the dinner table. "So, Song Comet how was school?"

"Everything's fine," he wore something unnatural to him; a large pair of black glasses.

He was finally at her hooves. He heard muttering many times actually. He was cut off by a sharp pain as the filly bit him.

"Help . . . me," the filly's voice spoke.

"NightFall will rise," a familiar voice spoke, walking in front of him.

"Song Comet?" he weakly spoke more words catching in his throat.

"NightFall will rise . . . again!" the stallion jumped at him his teeth jagged sharp as were Sweet Song's

He was of course lunged at, he clenched his eyes shut and let out a mighty scream.

Song Comet let out the loudest scream he could muster. "Honey, honey, wake up," his eyes shot open as the words were spoken, out of breath he glanced at his wife - smiling warmly her eyes where they should be - "Oh, Wisp," he fell to the breast of Wisp Wake crying his eyes out.

Wisp Wake stroked his dark red mane. "Shh . . . you had a nightmare," she hushed calming Song down.

Song chuckled embarrassed he had made such a big deal of a nightmare. "Yeah I guess, you're right Wisp," he rubbed his neck embarrassed. He suddenly stopped as he felt two bumps on his neck. With that he rushed to the bathroom and looked to his nightmare two bumps on his neck; exactly where the bite mark was. He squeaked. "Ah!" he said jumping back to the tub.

"What's wrong honey?" Wisp Wake asked putting a comforting hoof on Comet's shoulder.

He was speechless in fear. When he finally spoke he was scared. "Do I have two bumps on my neck?" he asked putting his neck to Wisp's face.

"Okay, you do," she admitted not wanting to hear more of this she walked off.

He sighed and looked to the mirror. "It was all a dream." He wanted to believe it. Suddenly a flash of a pitch black with white spots all over, all red eyes, and snowy white mane appeared it seemed to be an alicorn. Soon the mirror broke into a million pieces all of a sudden.

Song Comet felt scared as he rubbed a hoof along his dark red mane. He walked downstairs all he could think about was that nightmare - it scared him to death - he continued to walk downstairs. Soon leaping back as he felt off while walking downstairs. "Everything okay Dad?" Song Comet Jr. asked seeing his father observe him.

"Yes son," he simply said not taking his eyes off of him.

Song Comet began eating his breakfast slowly as he watched his father stare, Song's scar not bleeding in the slightest anymore.

Comet sighed maybe it was a dream. - Doubtful but, it is possible - Comet walked to the kitchen soon regretting it. "Go, go, go, go," a voice spoke softly in a twisted raspy voice. Soon enough he looked to the mirror he held in his saddlebag in case of something. There he saw a clear vision of something. It had bat wings, its coat was black and had white spots all over, its mane even white than its spots, and its cutie mark a red 'X' faded away. "Go to it, go to it, go to it . . ." it sounded serious but how can Comet trust this thing? It gave him nightmares after all. The figure smirked. "If you don't you'll regret it," the figure said in the twisted voice.

"How?" Song asked it's in a mirror how can he regret it. Suddenly a flash of his daughter blood eyed and on the ground her flesh looked as if she was torn open. He couldn't bare to watch any longer. He sighed as he looked back to the mirror.

"Fine, I will." Comet can't believe he agreed to that.

"Good, now go, NOW!" the voice roared as the figure vanished from the mirror.

Comet tied his saddlebag around him. "See you Wisp," he said nervously his voice showing it as it was shaking.

Wisp took no mind to it.

"Bye honey," she waved happily as she lowered a book with her magic. Comet got to the forest the mirror still a mirror.

"Okay, what now?" Comet asked the mirror as he approached the forest from which he was told to go.

"Good, good. Now, go into it, look for a large castle," he told Comet who was still unsure - however wanting his daughter safe is important to him as well - he boldly walked into the forest.

Finally he found the castle after countless amounts of searching throughout the day. "Alright, I'm here - I think - is this it?" he asked there have been many, many castles found among the Everfree.

"Ah, home sweet home, this is it alright," he ground his teeth.

With a sigh Comet went inside. "Now what?" he was doubting himself every step of the way.

"Repeat after me," he said. "Bring what was once mine, what once was ruled by an Overlord, what once made dreams into nightmares, bring back Overlord NightFall," the two said in unison Comet now really doubting himself. A blast of light blinded the poor unicorn. "Gah!" he turned his head away from the light. Soon a pony rose form the smoke.

"Hahahahahaha, I'm back!" he flapped his bat wings a red spark ignited from his horn. "NightFall is back!" he looked to Song.

"Y-You can't beat the Princesses," he said his eyes falling closed for some reason.

Finally he awoke to being strapped to a table. "Ah, you have awoken Song Comet," NightFall stroked his mane.

"Now, why don't you end this, but, you know, since I am such a kind man, you may send a letter to your family," he said handing him a piece of paper and a quill both being held in Song's magic.

Dear Song Comet and who else this may concern:

Look out, an evil is coming your way, it's too late for me, I'm sure Song Comet Jr. hoped to hold my hoof when I die and tell me "Hold on," Song said.

I would respond. "It's too late for me."

"How could this happen?" Song would ask.

And, I would respond. "Talk to the Princesses about one known as NightFall." I am going to always be in your heart.

Love, Song Comet

Song Comet sent the letter, soon closing his eyes, not wanting to see the blood and gore. "Goodbye loving family," he said a tear running down his eye.

Soon after the death of Song Comet his son ran to the castle, not caring about the guards. He saw Princess Celestia.

"Princess, Princess," he said chasing after her.

Celestia turned to Comet. "What is it?" she asked in her serine voice.

He thought for a moment. "Do, do you know of a man known as: NightFall?" he asked knowing she would say yes.

Her head dropped to the ground. "NightFall was a ruthless ruler, taking his throne by force, we hoped this never too happen, he controls dreams, turns them to nightmares. . . We fear . . . he may have risen to reclaim his throne . . . and even worse, he was, my older brother,” her head dropping even lower. The room fell silent as the words sunk into Song Comet. "Me, Luna, and him worked together as a trio: I raised the sun at dawn, Luna raises the moon at dusk, and NightFall used to come into every-pony's dreams," she started taking a quick breath. "However, he was corrupt and wanted more power to get it he tried to kill us in our dreams," she wanted to stop, however she pushed forward. "When we learned about this we instantly used the Elements of Harmony, somehow he was immune to the power of the Elements, so we worked together and banished him into his own creation; the Everfree Forest. Another decade pasted and I was forced to banish Luna as well," Comet obviously saw she hasn't thought of NightFall in a really long time with the tears that are falling from her eyes.

Comet looked to Celestia. "There's gotta be a way to beat him," he knew even Celestia has a weakness.

Celestia nodded. "There is one way . . ."

"No-pony can stop me!" yelled NightFall mimicking a male sounding Queen Chrysalis.

"I have to go where?"

"You must go to the Forest of Misery," Celestia told him.
