                                                                         Chapter 1: A Trip to Ponyville

Twilight ran through the streets with a book, headed toward the library. She entered yelling for Spike, spotting him on the floor and her male counterpart Dusk Shine sitting in a chair reading. He calmly looks at her as she runs a ladder up to the high bookcase calling for Spike.

“Spike, have you seen the book on Predictions and Prophecies”

“I was reading it for fun” Dusk told her “do you need it for something, Spike is on his way to a party for somepony”

Twilight sighed “Spike you know we don’t have time for things like that”

“Let him live a little Twilight” Dusk said, trying to get her to ease up a little on Spike

“Well I’m sorry but I need him to help me. Spike take a letter. Dear Princess, I your faithful student wish to inform you that Nightmare Moon will be freed this year at the Summer Sun Celebration. I await your swift response. Signed Twilight Sparkle” she finished

“Twilight” Dusk said in a matter of fact tone “don’t hold your breath, my mother is busy preparing for the celebration”

“Oh, I’m not worried Dusk, I know your mother trusts me completely. She has never once questioned me in all the years of being my teacher.” She said

At that moment Spike belched out an official scroll and began to read. “My dearest student Twilight. You know I trust you completely” Twilight smirked. “But” he continued “you must stop reading those dusty old books. I’m sending you and Dusk to Ponyville to check on the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. You both need to make some friends, and in Ponyville I want you guys to do just that.”

“See I told you. WAIT WHY DO I HAVE TO GO!” Dusk yelled

“How many friends does she think I need?” he pouted after being threatened with being grounded and forced to hang out with Prince Blue Blood for a week whom he despised. Secretly he was thankful to get away from Canterlot for a bit. He turned to Twilight “Let’s talk about this. While we’re in Ponyville let’s try to have some fun and get our job done. Please for the love of Celestia don’t tell anypony who my mother is so I can try to make real friends” he said. Twilight smiled and shook her head. “Ok Dusk”

“We’re here” she exclaimed stepping off of the carriage followed by Spike and Dusk Shine.

Dusk turned to Spike “Are you OK, keeping that secret Spike?” he asked

“As long as you guys try to make some friends like the princess said. The ponies here might have some interesting things to say” he said as a pink pony walked toward them.

“Hello” Twilight and Dusk said as she came closer. She smiled and disappeared in a puff of smoke as her feet left the ground.

“That was interesting, I think she lost the right to being called an earth pony.” Dusk said as he turned to Spike. “What’s first on the list Spike?” The baby dragon looked down at the list in his hand

“Well the food is being prepared by a mare named Applejack, at Sweet Apple Acres” He said rolling the list back up and putting it in his pocket.

“Guess that where we’re headed then” Dusk said as they walked toward a farm in the distance.

Upon arriving they witnessed a mare in a brown, kicking a tree. They then watched the apples fall into a basket at the roots. They both walked up to the mare as spike followed behind them.

“Hello. I’m Twilight, this is Dusk and that’s Spike. Are you Applejack?” she said introducing them to the orange mare.

Dusk shook her hoof all the while realizing she had an extremely strong grip. As he checked for broken bones Applejack swiftly introduced them to her family and begged them to stay for brunch. Being persuaded finally by Applebloom’s puppy dog eyes, they decided to stay for brunch.

Granny Smith leaned over to Applejack and whispered into her ear “Isn’t he a cute one Applejack” causing her to blush from embarrassment. What are you talking about I just met him” she whisper-screamed into he grandmothers ear.

“Granny Smith smiled and replied. “Well you better snatch him up quick, because the other mares in town might fall for him.” Applejack shushed her grandmother as Dusk, Twilight and Spike began to walk off.

“Who’s next Spike” Twilight asked

“Well there’s supposed to be a pony named Rainbow Dash clearing the skies” he said

“She doesn’t seem to be doing a very good job” dusk commented as he is crashed into by a rainbow colored blur. They both roll and land into a puddle of mud, Dusk remaining on the ground while the Rainbow maned blur hovered into the air.

“Sorry dude, are you Ok” She asked as she helped him up

“I take it that you’re Rainbow Dash” Twilight said after she witnessed the rainbow mare dry Dusk off in a Tornado she called the Rain-Blow Dry.

“Yep, that’s me the fastest pony in Equestria” Rainbow smiled wildly.

“I don’t think that’s something to be proud of.” Dusk stated laughing as Rainbow blushed darkly.

‘’Shouldn’t you be clearing the skies right now?’’ Twilight asked

“Yeah, Yeah, one moment. You think I can’t handle my body. I can ride you until you pass out before I even cum once” Rainbow stated challengingly

“I’ll think about giving you a shot if you can clear the sky right now” Dusk said with a smirk.

Rainbow took off into the air demolishing the clouds in a few swoops.

“There” She said smiling proudly as Dusk, Twilight and Spike started to walk off.

“And what’s next Spike?” Dusk asked before being tackled by Rainbow Dash.

“Hey we had a deal. I clear the sky and you give me a chance to prove that I can handle my body against you”

Dusk smiled “I never said I would give you that chance in public” he said continuing to walk away with Spike and Twilight. Rainbow Dash blushed and flew off to hide on a cloud.

“What is next Spike?” Twilight asked as they entered the town hall.

“It looks like decorations. Beautiful.” he says, fixating his view on a gorgeous white pony in the middle of the room.

“Yes it is Spike” Twilight said with a smile.

“I don’t think he was talking about the decorations” Dusk said pointing over to the pony in the center. “How about I take this one” he continued “Come on Spike, I’ll be your wingman if you pick your jaw up off of the floor.

“Hello” he started only to be cut off by the white pony.

“One moment I am in the zone as it were.” She finished her task and turned to look at him. “Ye…Oh by Celestia what happened to your mane?”

“It’s a long story” he said “Would you happen to be Rarity?”

“Yes, of course. Please come with me so we can get your mane settled” She said pushing Dusk toward her home/store. Causing Spike and Twilight to have to follow.

“Where are you three from, and” looking at Twilight and Dusk “Are you two twins?”

“Well technically we are but then we aren’t” she started. “When I was younger I had to hatch Spike from an egg to get into Princess Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns back in Canterlot. While hatching him I accidentally created Dusk. He’s a genetic copy of me, but created instead of born. So Princess Celestia adopted him as her son as she took me in as her personal student. Oops, sorry Dusk” she said after she realized that she had told his secret.

Rarity gasped as she finished fashioning his mane into a Blueblood inspired style. He shook his head to change his mane back to normal.

“Is it true that you’re a prince?” Rarity asked eagerly.

“Yes” he said glaring at Twilight who smile nervously at him “I’m Celestia’s son Dusk Shine.”

“We should be going” he continued as he began walking toward the door “We have a busy schedule to follow. I’ll come back to visit some other time.” He walked out pissed at Twilight for telling his secret. “What’s next Spike I want to go home” He asked still in a bad mood.

“It looks like the last thing is music and that’s being handled by a pony named Fluttershy.” Spike said optimistically trying to cheer him up.

“Dusk I said I’m sorry please stop being mad at me.” Twilight begged as a yellow Pegasus came into their view.

“I’m not mad Twilight, just disappointed. I only asked you to do one thing, the last thing I needed was the unnecessary spotlight”

“Let me make it up to you. I’ll take this one” She said walking up to the butter yellow mare. “Hi, I’m Twilight. I’ve come to check on the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration.”

The yellow mare gasped and hid behind her bright pink mane. “I’m Fluttershy” she mumbled as Dusk moved closer to them. Her eyes glance over to him. “Who are you?” She asked blushing deeply.

“I’m Dusk Shine. You must be Fluttershy. That’s a cute name” he said. Causing her to blush more deeply and hide her face further behind her mane. “We will let you get back to work” he continued “Sorry for startling you.”

They started to walk toward the library where they would be staying.

“She was cute.” Dusk said as they walked into the library.

“So you forgive me now?” Twilight asked.

“Sure” he smiled and looked around “Why is it so dark in here?”

The lights suddenly came on and in a flash Dusk disappeared. A bright pink mare ran over

“Where did the cute guy go?” she asked

He reappeared. “I’m guessing you’re the reason for the party” he asked

“Yep, I’m Pinkie Pie. Ponyville’s very own party pony” she stated excitedly.

“Well my friends and I have been running around all day and we would like to get some sleep. Would you mind rescheduling?”

Pinkie nods “Okie Dokie Lokie. Attention everypony” she announces to the room full of Ponies. “The party is now off and will be rescheduled for a later time at this location.” She turns back to Dusk and the others. “Ok, you three get some rest. I’ll see you tomorrow Dusky Wusky” she said walking out of the door her tail raising to brush against Dusk’s leg and crotch.

“I think I just made a date. Whatever…I’m going to bed see you both in the morning” He said going up to his bedroom. He goes to sleep quickly looking forward to tomorrow.
